Burgermeister Review - Kreuzberg - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Close to lots of bars and nightclubs around Skalitzer Strasse, Burgermeister is our other favorite late-night spot in the area (open 3am daily and 4am Fri-Sat). Located conveniently under the Schlesisches Tor train station, this tiny burger stand is found in the station’s former public bathroom. While a train station bathroom restaurant would send us running for a hazmat suit in New York, Burgermeister has been meeting Germany’s strict health code standards for many years. The simple burgers are really good, especially in an area with generally cheap, forgettable food. There’s only outdoor seating here (visit in winter at your own risk), but two more locations at the Kottbusser Tor and Zoologischer Garten stations are indoors and tend to be less busy." - Barbara Woolsey

Too heavy and fatty. Couldn't eat anything for the rest of the day. Good enough as far as burgers go in Berlin. The free sauce refill is pretty nice too. The French fries were really good.

I have lived in Berlin 8 years and I only had my first burgermeister this year. WHAT A MISTAKE. I can’t believe I have been missing out on these amazing burgers this long. One of the top 5 burger places in the whole of Berlin. Amazing if you love red meat (or beyond meat). Whatever you do make sure to get the cheese sauce, takes every bite to the next level.

Saw this recommended by tiktoker/YouTuber KarissaEats. Didn't disappoint. Double cheeseburger with bacon was 🔥

It's a chain restaurant, but in spite of that, it's one that keeps a high profile. Juicy and sensibly sized burgers are the flesh and bones of this venue, while chips provide a decent side dish. Of course, being a (sort of) fast food store, there's no picking how well (or not) you want your burger to be done. You'll just get what goes. The greatest drawback of this place is the lack of a customers' toilet! How am I supposed to safely eat a burger with no way to wash my hands first?

Stopped there after a concert at Max-Schmeling-Halle. There were limited seats inside, all occupied. It was too cold outside, so we opted to stay inside and eat standing up. I had the Meister Aller Klassen Burger. I went big on my pick and went home full and fulfilled.

The best burger in town. I recommend the Meiser Aller Klassen (and can modify and remove what you don't want). I always leave super full and content. The taste and quality is consistent across their locations in town.

Good chilli cheese burger, could’ve been more spicy though. Beer was okay, would’ve loved to have another beer option! All in all a good place!

A berlin staple, way better than five guys. You can Customize it to your liking or pick a pre select burger from the menu. Just know that sauce means ketchup and mayo which I despise so one must remember to say no sauce add mustard if that’s your thing!
