Their burger is not expensive and also very delicious and juicy. The balance of price and quality is excellent, and the service is quite fast. The location is convenient and close to the subway. It is a great option for a quick and satisfying meal. I would definitely recommend it to anyone nearby.

Not enough sauce. That would be my only complaint. They put barely anything at all. So if you're a sauce person like I am, you may way to order extra and avoid the potential disappointment. Otherwise, the burger was delicious ! Not much to say about service as you place your order at the kiosk and wait for your number to come up. Other than picking up your food, no real interaction with staff, but they seemed friendly enough. Not much of an ambiance to talk about, no music, screens or anything. If it's your first time you will choose your burger, any extras you want and then they'll ask what you don't want. So don't panic. I highly recommend and would definitely return. Enjoy!

Burgermeister at Kottbusser Tor is a great spot for burger lovers. The burgers are incredibly tasty, and the cookies are surprisingly delicious too! Food is usually ready within 5–6 minutes, and the service is smooth with friendly, helpful staff. The fries taste amazing, especially with cheese—definitely a must-try. The place is clean and tidy, including the washrooms, which is a big plus. The ambience is chill with good music playing in the background—perfect for a casual bite. Highly recommended

I came back after 5 years and I'm happy to see they have improved even more. Don't get me wrong! The burgers are still amazing! My wife just try them and she agrees but they have added some order screen that will help us people that don't speak the language making the experience even better. Try any burger and it will not disappoint, fries are great, even better with cheese, but im not so sure about the cookies

This is the best burger I have had in the Berlin area during the 5 months I've been here. What makes it so good? It is a perfect recreation of a greasy American Diner Burger! Juicy patty. Delicious. Perfect soft bun that is still strong enough to not fall apart mid way through eating. Fresh ingredients. And the meat is light, tender, and has a clean delicious flavor. . What I mean by that is, almost every burger I have had in Berlin is over formed and squeezed together like a hockey puck. Overworking the ground beef and packing it too hard will result in a dense and tough burger. This will also cause the meat to be chewy and imparts an odd flavor. The Burgermeister staff have single handedly saved the Berlin Burger reputation as far as I'm concerned. Parking can be in issue. But it's worth the search. It's located in the middle of the street. I mean that literally. It separates the opposite direction of traffic. So don't miss it. If you have a desire for a real American style diner burger, the kind you crave after you've left, this is the place for you. So bummed it took me 5 months to try it. But I'll be there again several times before I leave. Oh, and the fries are great too! Staff is friendly, helpful, accommodating.

Yum! After a long day of touring I just wanted something quick, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The burger was delicious, nicely cooked with good flavor. Fries were also very fresh.

One of my favorite birthdays involved going to the planetarium, listening to Pink Floyd, and eating Burgermeister. Make sure to get the sweet potato fries, it is very important you do that. The patties are thin and chargrilled and delish.

Schliesseestor. The REAL location. Makes you Wait a Real Long Time and Has often after the Wait prepared the burger Wrong and hence another Wait for the corrected burger And hence my 'loathe' of Waiting and Lines. BEFORE THE HYPE, This place served a fresh 100% beef product. And Frankly Spoke Poor English. AFTER THE HYPE, Mixed Meat oder Gemischtes Fleisch. Besser Englisch und Longer Lines. 'BurgerMeister?' Ich Glaube Nichts.

This is a very solid, seat-yourself, on-the-go burger. I'd say it's somewhat comparable to In-n-Out for those back in the States, but way better than McDonald's, plus they serve beer. By no means fancy, this is a great place to hit up to get something in your stomach before heading to the bar, which I'm about to do.

I really loved this place. I'm from California but I can honestly say this was the best veggie burger I've ever had. For fellow Californians, it reminds me of In & Out but waaaay BETTER! My veggie burger had mushrooms and bbq sauce on it. The mushrooms were thick and juicy! I would have added jalapeños but it would have been an extra cost. I also got the cheese fries with onions and those too were equally delicious. Make sure to keep your ticket because they gave me a hard time when I lost mine.

Saw this place on YouTube and just happened to find it on the way to the metro Terrific taste! Fresh ingredients and a decent price Cash only and you will likely have to wait a bit but the wait will only make the burger taste better! Totally worth it! Have the meister burger !

This fast food place is comparable to in n out back home. Perfect for when you have the munchies at 3am after a night out. The cheeseburger was a nice size beautifully cooked and the chili fries are definitely a must.

I ate a lot of delicious food in Germany, but Burgermeister is a must-visit! While it's easy to get amazing bratwurst or shawarma anywhere in Berlin, a high quality burger piled with fresh toppings is a rare find in any city. I saw this place on Yelp and when I asked the owner of our hostel if she knew anything about it, I was greeted to an extremely enthusiastic yes. She said all Berliners go crazy for Burgermeister, and recommended that we go to this location because the lines tend to be slightly less crowded here. I got a bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries and I could eat that combo every day and be very very happy. If you're just visiting Berlin, I highly recommend stopping here for an authentic, delicious German burger at a great hole-in-the wall joint!

My first food stop in Berlin. The burger was great and so were the fries. Everything tasted really fresh, not your typical greasy kind of burger.

Now this is a REAL burger. I've been exposed to mostly bad burgers all my life. Then I started visiting Texas and California and quickly started realizing WOW THERE ARE ACTUALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD BURGERS OUT THERE!!! You have your favourites. Your P Terry's, your In n Out, your Five Guys. If you are a fan of these and absolutely, positively have to have a delicious burger in Berlin, COME HERE. Thick, juicy, well-cooked, tasty, fast serving. Definitely recommend! If I come back to Berlin, I'm remembering this place! It was packed full of happy talking people who don't care about using standing room when all the benches fill up. It's great!!!

This is my favorite restaurant in Berlin since I loved the art on the wall and enjoying the taste a lot more. Africa cola taste like Mexican Coke. The discipline of the chef is clear because of the delicious taste that outshines the competition this is not only the best it is also convenient and has a nice ambience that seems like a different world from the rest Kreuzberg. i'm really excited I highly recommend it it's awesome.

The Burgermeister's name is really well known in Berlin, I am glad they are now also has one in the Kottbusser Tor. The location of this restaurant is great, quite easy to find. The design of the restaurant did remind me some bathroom. I guess they kinda did it on purpose. Beside that, it just got a really simply look. Not much to says about it. I went there with my colleagues together, and gave the Hausmeister a try. It tasted really great. The potion of the burger was totally enough for me as lunch. The price was alright, so even still hungry, it would not be problem to order the second one. They also got the customers reward system, just don't forget to get your reward card and collect some stamp each time.

I was looking forward to coming here even before we arrived in Berlin! The cheeseburgers were made just right, not oily like other burgers I've had and the cheese didn't taste artificial. For only 4.5 euros, these were pretty yummy burgers!!! The guy at the counter got our order wrong and gave us an extra cheeseburger instead of the chilli fries with jalapeños but that was fixed up quickly. The fries were also really good! Restaurant had a great atmosphere with music playing. The place was quite big so there was ample space to sit and service was fast.

As someone from the US and has had plenty of top rated burgers all over the country, I think I can safely say I'm qualified to rate a burger joint in Berlin, Germany. That being said, I would have to say this burger is a tad bit overrated based on the reviews you'll read. The burger it pretty small (maybe it's just the huge US appetite in me talking) but mostly the burger was kind of just bland to me. It's a nice meal if you're on vacation and want a break from eating doner, currywurst and schnitzel for every meal, but that's about it.

My go-to burger place around the corner. Good for Germany. Sometimes the buns are a little too greasy. The fries are great. But on Saturday evening wait a long time (today - I've never come on a Sat before) with tons and tons of young Americans I guess doing a semester abroad and young EU travelers and students. But they're all nice enough, though it is very full. Says the older American expat who has lived here a gazillion years and now likes things a little quieter

Great fast food restaurant. Delicious cheeseburger and French fries. The service was fast, the staff was very professional and friendly, the seating inside was comfortable and plentiful. Definitely recommended if you are in the neighborhood and crave for a burger.

We actually made a trek out to this part of town to get a burger simply because, well, burger. This place is simply a perfect stop and go burger joint. The tiled walls makes you feel like you're eating in an old bathhouse or laboratory or something, but has a really Berlin feel if that makes any sense. The music was blaring (great tunes btw) and we ran up front to order. The menu is simple, positioned up on the counter next to the cashier. Just run up and place your order, but make sure to hold on to your ticket as you will need it to give after once your order is up on the pass (I threw mine away.. force of habit :| ) We both got the Burgermeister and a beer with a side of fries, and were so happy with our choice. The beef was seasoned perfectly, came hot off the grill, with fresh lettuce and tomato. The bun was 'da real MVP' though.. buttery and soft, but tough enough to not break under the weight.. a true burger bun. The fries were good, but not great, hence the one less star. You definitely gotta check this place out if you're in the mood for a yummy burger.

It's good, but it lacks better (and more) veggie options! The location is great, right at Kottbuser Tor, and in this one you can actually sit inside so no cold. And oh, be ready to wait...

Best Berlin burger! I come here often and get the chili cheeseburger. It's the only place in the city whose burgers I crave. There's usually good rock music playing and the staff is awesome too. They re-did my order when I accidentally said the wrong thing (not many places in Berlin will do that, or at least not without yelling at you first). A couple minor suggestions for improvement: -Sometimes the fries only have cheese in one little area and not spread around -You could really decorate the place a little better. Add some character Thank you, Burgermeister, for being a little oasis among the Berlin cliches.

Doesn't disappoint! The same great burgers from Burgermeister in Schlesiches Tor but with actual seating places :) Go there if you're looking for a good burger in Berlin.

I've been to the original location only once because I can't stand a queue. I decided to try the new location because even if there were a queue, I could at least stand inside. It was a spur of the moment decision, so I only ordered the fries. They were awful. They had the strangest texture as if the potatoes had been dehydrated before frying. They fell apart in block-like chunks. Thankfully customers are able to serve their own ketchup and mayo. The interior itself is great. Super clean with plenty of seating and even a bathroom. It is still annoying that the place is quite big, yet doesn't accept EC cards. Well it's still in Berlin...

I prefer this sit-down location compared to the other outdoor, stand-up one. CLOSEST BURGER YOU'LL GET TO IN-N-Out Burger from the U.S. Which means it's one of my favorite burger places. They only have one beer option which is a shame. Really good tasting burger and fries. Moderate-to-a little expensive prices.

service is so slow. it's insanely slow. over 45 minute wait just for a burger and fries..... slowest fast food ive had in my life, and it's not cheap either lol. restaurant is also super dirty. 1/5. 1/10 tbh. fail.

Excellent presentation. Great baked potato. I just wish that the meat was not spiced and doctored. If it was pure ground beef with nothing added, this would go instantly to five stars.

I must confess: this is one of the best burgers I've ever had! Portions fall on the smaller size, but it's really flavorful. The fries also recall Wingstop fries, which is only a plus to me.

my friends spoke very highly of burgermeister, saying it's the best burger in berlin. i was like, ok how good can a burger really be though? but then we went and yo, these bugers are GOOD. the line was hella long and there's limited seating but it was worth it.

Their original location under the train line is more hip, but the burgers are equally good here, and you avoid the queues

Nice burgers, sitting is limited, lines long. Yet the best burger I have had in Germany so far. Minus for not being able to buy second drinks without waiting in the line again. Self service (like almost everything seems to be these days in Berlin) but the burgers are quite good. Oh you won't be asked how you want the meat to be cooked. It's "one size fits all"

This is my favourite burger place in the whole wide world and I've been to many burger places. The taste of the meat is just unreal but all the other ingridents are so good too Everything, literally everything is at it's finest. I ate there every single night on my trip to Berlin. I'm still traveling and once in a while I get to urge to go back to Berlin regardless of the other places I aim to see in Europe and just chill in Burgermeister. Cheeseburger is my favorite with cheese fries.

The burgers are delicious and well worth the hype. The beer was also nice, a little sweet for my taste though. I do not recommend the cheese fries though, the cheese cools quickly and becomes plasticky.

Best burger in Berlin, maybe the world (if you are a fan of the in-n-out style of burger). If you like spice, get the chili cheese burger (basically just a cheese burger with jalapeño). While the Kotti location isn't the original, the wait is shorter, there's room to sit comfortably, and the fries are fresh. If you're feeling indulgent, the chili chesse fries are insanely good too (this time with actual chili instead of jalapeño)!

Always crowded with tourists (duh) and not for vegetarians! If you're a vegetarian and want a burger around there, walk 10 more minutes and go to Kreuzburger (Oranienstraße). They have pretty good vegetarian options.
