The smell of “Walla Walla onion rings” always makes our appetite of lunch to this joint.

Friendly staff. A bit pricey but big portions. Clean establishment with an old nostalgic diner vibe. Ordered the Truffle Parmesan Waffley Fries and 1/2 lb Colossal Burger. Very good. Flavorful

The first time here the staff was friendly the quality of food was great I was very impressed. I got the chicken sandwich it was fresh and tasted fresh. They piled on the veggies 🥗 which I appreciated! I also tried the Oregon Coffee with cold cream. The atmosphere was calm there were a few customers inside. The drive through was busy. 5/5 Customer Service 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Quality Atmosphere 5/5

How can you not love Burgeville!? The food is always fresh and locally sourced. It tastes great and their seasonal items like the Rosemary French Fries in April, Srawberry shortcake and fresh strawberry shakes in May and June are simply some of the best tasting stuff on earth. Great service too. If you're not from Oregon, you probably don't know. But this is a local gem. Made to order fresh, too. Even just their basic cheeseburger is delish!

Danielle

Google
Burgerville shakes are always top tier, often showcasing shakes and drinks with in-season fruit. Their other menu items are made with locally sourced ingredients, and it sets them above your typical drive-thru restaurant. More expensive than going through larger national chains, but worth the price.

I use to live near this Burgerville 21 years ago. I came back to the Portland area for a trip as I live in the Midwest now. It still looks exactly the same. Fortunately, the food was still good and the strawberry shake tasted like I remembered it. The bottled water was sort of in a funny looking bottle (pictured).

July 2025 update - New plant based burger is very disappointing. Just had my first and only one I will never order one again, it is that bad. It basically tastes exactly like the ingredients which is chickpeas, lentils, sweet potatoes, red beets and mushrooms, you can pick the flavors of each of them out individually, so there is not a cohesive taste to the burger. Also texture is not good. I hope they go back to the previous Beyond Burger patties, sooo much better. Old Plant based burger is excellent. Seasonal Asparagus is being served now. New guilty pleasure! Sooo good.

There's was black particulates in my soda. Absolutely disgusting. This place needs a health inspection, bad.

Yelp
I have a confession to make. I like Burgerville. It's not because they're committed to supporting the local community and economy (which is amazing) but it's mainly because the overall customer service (specifically at this location) has always been great. I've never experienced an issue. Now, to be clear, this is the only Burgerville location I go to (mainly out of convenience). And sure, they are pricey, but I tend to overlook the price tag because they're always so nice to my wife and me and that really goes a long way. AND, some of their menu items are actually delicious. Whenever we get Burgerville, we always do drive-thru so I can't really speak to what it's like to order/eat inside but I will say this: The folks taking the drive-thru orders are always so attentive, thorough, always recommending what dipping sauces pair better with what menu items. Stuff like that. My menu item recommendations are: * Northwest Cheeseburger: I'm probably in the minority because I'm actually not a fan of their Burgerville spread so the Northwest Cheeseburger is my go-to cheeseburger at this establishment because it doesn't come with the spread. It's a simple cheeseburger but a really good one. * Big Cowboy Slider: Good things come in small packages. Yes, the slider is small but it's a great little treat. Their fried onions are actually crispy! And you have the option to order one (a single) or two (a duo). * Best Coast Crispy Chicken Sandwich: When I'm feeling crazy, I'll sometimes get this chicken sandwich. It's tender and crispy and the garlic herb aioli is a great addition. * The No.6 Burger: This is my wife's go-to cheeseburger at this establishment. The aged white cheddar and pickles are standouts and she highly recommends it. * Seasonals: Out of all the seasonal menu items we've tried thus far, the Fried Green Beans and the Truffle Parmesan Waffley Fries are really good. We can't wait for the Walla Walla Onion Rings to make their triumphant annual return this year! Last but not least, I can happily confirm that this place serves Coca-Cola products!

Yelp
Onion rings. Walla Walla onion rings! But NOOOOOOOOOO!!! They aren't vegan. So our hearts were broken. BUT. Vegan milkshakes. YES. Vegan burgers - YES!! I've never particularly thought of drive through employees as being great. They're usually teenagers who could care less about you and treat you exactly that way. Not today y'all. The drive through cashier was an older woman and my goodness she absolutely made my day with her TRUE joy, friendliness, just making us feel like we mattered in the few minutes we were at the drive thru window. To be able to do that is a GIFT y'all. For someone to make you smile and feel good...and the three of us were super disappointed because UM hello...we didn't get onion rings! She was also the FIRST BV employee to tell us about rewards and how to get the app and add our receipt. Now it's been MONTHS since we went to this location and I STILL remember the kindness and the joy that employee radiated. Y'all need to make sure you keep her, because I have no doubt that you know exactly who I'm talking about. She didn't have a name badge that I remember seeing because I definitely would have remembered her name. This was a great great experience.

Yelp
Here's the thing. The quality is great. The sandwich? Solid. The shake also great and there's so many different flavors. The fries' taste? Also good. The portion is small however for the fries, that's a regular in the picture... that's pretty little. The sandwich should've been something remarkable for the price though. If you're gonna justify this meal, it's just gotta be lower price. $20 for a meal like this from a fast casual restaurant and I'm still hungry after? I'll pass.. I do admit burgerville could be something great and something I'd get all the time if it were cheaper. It'd be In-N-Out's competition if the price was down there.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. $25 for a drive thru burger meal? Never coming back here. Burger was a double and meat was gross. Ended up throwing it up right after eating. Strawberry lemonade was gross too. Overall, overpriced and disgusting quality.
google avatar

Luna H.

Yelp
Surprised there was only 3 stars... I loved the burger I ordered (No. 6, I believe.) Very messy, but I didn't care it was so good. Rosemary fries were fantastic, but we only got one of our ranches, which was annoying. I don't like to share because of double dipping. When you charge per cup, we'd really like to receive the ones we buy.
google avatar

Haley F.

Yelp
Busy place for lunch and the food quality is top notch! I love Halibut and the fries came very hot! Pretty expensive for my meal and my dad who got the Halibut sandwich. Clean overall, I had to wipe my own table so we could sit in a booth, but that's okay! I like to see a busy place, it means there's yummy food.

Ron C.

Yelp
Here is what $13.50 will get you at this Burgerville. I don't think it's a very good value. A cold burger , and a six dollar milkshake that they don't bother filling up the glass. I'm not going back there .

Kieran B.

Yelp
The food was great, but the customer service from a gentleman with dark short hair and glasses was even better! He was so nice, great attitude! I would rate his customer service a 20/10 I will definitely come to this location again.

Yelp
It's a beautiful day for outdoor dining. There's 5 tables and happy red Burgerville umbrellas for shade. The outdoor patio is away from the street and surrounded by trees bushes and a fence to keep kids in. This outdoor patio is on the opposite side of the building from the drive thru and connected to the restaurant for easy access. Walla Walla Onion Rings are amazing! They now come in one size for $5.99 There's also a Walla Walla Onion Ring Burger if you only want one. Look for Burgerville's Seasonal Specials. Burgerville solved the problem with mobile orders getting cold by adding warming trays on their order counter. Now it's all good

Victoria P.

Yelp
I'm a loyal customer but forget about the new crispy chicken salad. It's horrible. It's just a pre packaged salad like from the store with all the ingredients in separate plastic. And the chicken was in a side container and it was about a one ounce portion cut up. Disappointment
google avatar

Tyler B.

Yelp
Friendly, quick, employees were very polite and quick to help you. Fries were good, and burger wasn't greasy like most fast food places.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
Went to the drive-thru for dessert tonight, specifically for the seasonal peppermint sundae. Was actually pretty bummed by it - it was just vanilla ice cream with little bits of peppermint on top, plus the chocolate sauce & whipped cream. Alas, I could have made that at home. Also got a strawberry sundae that was really tasty but, again, I could have made it at home. Drive thru was efficient and friendly.

Yelp
Went to the drive-up for lunch for 3 today. I got through quickly, but by the time I drove out there were about 6 cars waiting in line. Seems like using the app would be wise. It was easy to place my order, they have one window for payment and another for food pickup. Payment was quick and easy, pick up was a little slow but perhaps that is the price one pays for cook-to-order food. I tried calling ahead but they do NOT take phone orders - use the app/website or order at the drive up. I had a seasonal special, the bacon blue burger with Olympic Provisions bacon. I can vouch the high quality bacon makes a huge difference in flavor. The sautéed mushrooms were good and the cheese nice and melty for blue. I ate most of the waffle fries which everyone thought were quite good. My wife had a plain cheeseburger, and the patty is small but for lunch it was plenty. Last up was a veggie black bean burger, which was judged very good. Overall we had a great lunch experience. I really appreciate the local ingredients used, worth an extra buck or two!
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Friendly staff, got my food quickly in the drive-thru, and my order was correct. Fish & chips cooked perfectly with soft fish and crunchy outside. Chocolate hazelnut shake was pretty heavy with the powered-chocolate flavor and less on the hazelnut so I was bummed about that, and it's way too thick to get through the teeny straw - why don't they offer a spoon with these? Overall happy other than that.

Yelp
Decided to dine in the other night. It was not busy. We had ordered ahead so I went to get a table while my husband picked up our order. The tables were not clean. The self-service drink area was not clean. The floor was filthy. I would think that once they opened dining in area staff would be cleaning. Food was just okay, semi-warmish. Do not want to go back. Sad because pre-pandemic restaurant was so clean and food was wonderful.

Yelp
I've been going to Burgerville since I moved here in 1976. I purchased 2 cheeseburgers, and the buns were cold/cold. I called and complained, and they forgot about me. I emailed them again and since I didn't have the Burgerville app they just blew me off. I emailed them again and they said I needed my receipt. I can't believe how poorly Burgerville handles the my situation. The reason I don't have their app is I'm too old for all the apps out there, can't keep track of them. It's Burgerville mistakes my wife and I have 10 grandkids that will never eat at BURGERVILLE EVER. Doesn't matter to me all the McDonald's, Burger King and Carl's jr in the Tigard area are well Owned and a lot CHEAPER. They would all prefer McDonald's anyway. I was the reason we went to Burgerville. They'll never taste BURGERVILLE from us. Thanks for the incredible service.

Fabian N.

Yelp
The balls lol! In addition to charging $5 for french fries. They asked me for a tip at the drive through window and charged me 30 cents for a little cup of burger sauce. Yeah....Burgerneveragainville. Also I could tell the bugers has been sitting around for awhile, gross. What a waste of $22 for two cheeseburgers and a large French fry plus I feel sick to my stomach.

Max B.

Yelp
I hope this place is shut down. I got a plain hamburger and said it five whole times without cheese. Guess what they put on? Cheese. They were like the hamburger comes with no cheese. FALSE. Hate this place and bad quality. Won't ever see my business ever again.

Eric G.

Yelp
I just went to this Burgerville and ordered a 4 piece chicken tender. In less than a minute the employee there handed me my order. I asked if this is fresh since it was so fast and he said yes it just came out of the fryer. I got back to my office & discovered I was given chicken tenders that had been obviously sitting for some time. Overcooked & dry. Dark dark brown. There's a new restaurant next to this Burgerville that has excellent chicken tenders. I'll go there in the future.

Yelp
I can see what they are going for here with Burgerville it has that 50s burger joint feel where the kids would go and hangout after football games and such. Goal achieved there but it can't just be about ambiance the food and the service have to be great and that is where they drop the ball here I got a bacon Cheeseburger with grilled onions fries and a drink and it cost me $14 way over priced in my opinion They guy that took my order was great he must have been a manager or something because he was really trying to execute great customer service but also dropped the ball when I told him I had never been here before. He didn't give me a run down of the menu or even ask what I get elsewhere to try to help figure out what I may like here at Burgerville. My food was ready pretty quickly and the guy (with the ear gauges) that brought it to my table was a ray of sunshine (not really) he sat the food on the table without a word said to me then started to walk off as I asked him for a sauce packet and then makes a grunting sound and walks back behind the counter with me trailing and hand me the sauce packet without a look or comment then when I thanked him he said nothing and just went back to work. All this to say that the next time my burger cravings start to kick in I'll be taking the trip down to Keizer to In N Out I will never return to Burgerville for subpar food and service
google avatar

Israel F.

Yelp
This was our first time eating at Burgerville. The prices are a little high for the quality of burgers you get. $8 for one burger? Yeah, I don't know about that. Would I go out of my way to get another burger here? Probably not. The shakes are good though.
google avatar

Julie K.

Yelp
I have to give up on this location. After my last disastrous purchase here, my child asked for it tonight. I gave in and said yes only to be disappointed again. I ordered a 6 piece chicken strip with fries for $12.59. What I got was 6 chicken nuggets that were tiny, definitely not strips, more crunch than meat, and exactly 7, yes 7 waffle fries. Chicken strips are not 1 inch long! If these are your strips then put some additional ones in the box to make the actual size of an actual chicken strip! This is embarrassing.

Kathy M.

Yelp
Burgers taste day old. Cheese on burgers is dry as though previously cooked. Fries are old. Ate there twice will not give it a third try
google avatar

Sylvia C.

Yelp
Cashier at drive-thru asked if we'd like to add a tip. First time that's happened. Don't know if this is a new policy or what but it's very tacky-especially for drive thru. It's one thing to put a tip jar at the counter when dining in but for a drive thru to be asked by the cashier... no, don't recommend. Food is always just ok and it's fast food so lets not get carried away asking for tips please.

Thomas I.

Yelp
Friday afternoon. Neon sign says open. Cars parked in lot. Even a diner eating in dining room. I wait at open register. Several minutes later a guy yells "We're closed!" I say: everything says your open. He yells back "pick up only!" I'm incredulous. Place is a joke. I will never try coming back here again.
google avatar

Stephen R.

Yelp
Just move from Houston and wanted to try a new burger place so order the colossal burger and got a cold cheeseburger instead fries were OK shake was OK I sure miss water burger hot and fresh no matter what time of day you order, yeah I will not be going back here.

Linda P.

Yelp
So we are still going to the Burgerville, just a whole lot less often. I am still not crazy about the online ordering system, but appreciate the corporate contact and his attempts to ameliorate the situation. And don't order the salads and pay an extra two bucks for the protein. Not worth the money.
google avatar

Mikhail H.

Yelp
I am glad I discovered this branch considering I live by one of the few which does not have a drive-thru. Call me lazy but yeah, if I want fast food I want it fast and in a drive-thru. This location does it fast even with a decent long line - it moves quickly and my orders are accurate. I am addicted to their Triple Berry Smoothie though you have to say smoothie and not shake - waaaaaay less calories but still super tasty so you can have more fries...you are welcome! Two newer things which I discovered are that their waffle fries which are seasonal and freaking delicious. In addition they don't just have little packets of ketchup but their choice their is Simply Heinz which is the better stuff without HFCS! Bravo BV!
google avatar

Kristin K.

Yelp
Waited 30 min for our order. They ignored our texts notifying them that we were there and when I walked up to the door they ignored me, acted as though I wasn't there. Incredibly frustrated and would not recommend them.

Monica R.

Yelp
I have lived in Portland my whole life and 20 years ago this place may have been good. Last weekend, I went through the drive through and ordered a 16oz chocolate shake for $5.95. I paid at the window with a credit card and was informed that if I wanted to leave a tip, to note there is a button to do so, in the amounts, I believe of 10%, 15% or 20%. The percentage amount is irrelevant, really. My shake was small, and had vanilla ice cream mixed in with light chocolate ice cream. For some reason, I thought I was going to get a hand scooped, real ice cream shake. What I got, was a extremely over priced milkshake that was just poured out of a machine , and was no better than one you would get from McDonald's for half the price , very sugary sweet. If I wanted a McDonald's type shake, I would have gone there. Add to that, being asked, or having it suggested to me to add a tip when I am not being waited on , or serviced in any special way, just being poured , and handed a shake , is ridiculous. I waited tables for over 10 years. You dont deserve a tip for shoving a hamburger in a bag and handing it over the counter to someone. I will not be coming back to any Burgerville, and management needs to stop the practice of pandering for tips and pay their employees a better wage, instead of looking to customers to do it for them.
google avatar

Yelp
Burgerville is a Pacific Northwest establishment that prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients. They state that 72 percent of their food comes from within 400 miles of Vancouver, Wash. Burgerville is primarily known for their cheeseburgers and milkshakes. In my most recent visit I enjoyed a cheeseburger and seasonal sea salted caramel shake. Although, I was slightly disappointed that the shake did not come with a stroopwafel as advertised in store and online. If you are looking for something quick and easy and willing to eat fast food, Burgerville is a recommended choice.

Paul S.

Yelp
Poor listing skills by the cashier ordered a Tillamook bacon cheese burger and got a cheese burger that was cold. I brought back to the cashier and they made it correct but it was still cold. Asked for dine in and they brought the food as a to go order. My wife fish and chips were just tossed in the bag. Never going to Burgerville again.
google avatar

Da In C.

Yelp
Not impressed... I went into burgerville to get the seasonal rosemary fries and a thing of chicken tenders. I was sourly disappointed when the cashier was not only rude to me but looked me up and down in a weird way. I think i waited for about 30 minutes for my food before they asked me what i ordered and i was just baffled. The chicken tenders were tiny and were the size of half my pinky and the rosemary fries were mostly burnt and overly greasy and cold. Not sure if i want to come back again...
google avatar

Ava S.

Yelp
I have never had a problem with this Burgerville location before. However, when I went there the other day the lady taking my order was very rude and belittling. I was trying to order for someone else and I had to ask some questions to make sure I was getting the correct thing. The lady answered in a very rude and disrespectful tone and made me feel stupid. In addition, I didn't receive the extra spicy mayo I paid for. The food was good, but I am just sad that I was treated so rudely.
google avatar

Ben D.

Yelp
Usually have had good experiences but lately it has not been so great. Just got a milkshake and burger and the milkshake was only 75% full. It also seems like they only half assed mixing it. They can and should do better especially since it is what they are known for.

Taylor P.

Yelp
Today I went through the drive thu and asked for 4 piece fish and chips with no fries. They said it's gonna be $16.99 even though online it says $12.99. When I asked the prices of the items kindly the employees acted very rude. I proceeded to go inside to ask a different employee for the same order and he replied with $13.99 and that it is less expensive if I get fries. They want me to pay more for less. It makes 0 sense to charge somebody more for getting less. Customer service 0/10
google avatar

Marcus T.

Yelp
Hi Burgerville, I use to really enjoy the Halibut Fish n Chips at this location but every time I have ordered as of recently it has come out soggy and smelling fishy, it's almost as if you are using the cod instead of the halibut. Since halibut doesn't have a fishy smell and cod does. Also you need to leave it in the deep fryer longer so the filets become crispier, every time I have had it comes out soggy and flimsy.
google avatar

Jessi F.

Yelp
What happened to Burgerville?! I mean, sometimes their customer service is off and can be slow but at least the food used to be made fresh! We came here today with my family and every single thing came out immediately, and cold. The fries, the fish basket, the burgers. Oh, and the prices are higher, plus they're now asking for tips. Happy to pay more AND tip if the food is fresh. But please. My sister wished they had gluten-free fries, which would be nice as well. I think they need to reconsider this location! I will definitely not return.

Siham F.

Yelp
this was a terrible experience going here! i bought my daughter fries and they literally tasted like meta! and ever since she ate them, she has gotten a really bad headach, these fries are no good!
google avatar

Joan F.

Yelp
Always a pleasant experience with the many Burgervilles we've sampled. I'm just not a burger fan--the salads are good. Mostly we hit the drive through when my children are starving after school and sports and our 45 minute commute seems too long to wait for dinner at home. It's convenient and not awful.
google avatar

Kelli M.

Yelp
So. I got an ice cream from burgerville and this is what they gave me. I have never gotten an ice cream like this. This is the smallest cone I've gotten here. One reason I cone to burgerville is the ice cream cones. This is crap. I even asked for a remake and he looked at me weird.

Mike R.

Yelp
Turkey Best Coast Burger was bad. Skimpy patty, one piece of wilted lettuce with a few paper thin strips of onion, thrown together. Wish I had a BigMac instead.
google avatar

Sheila A.

Yelp
Giving 2 stars for fast, friendly service. The drive they was busy, but it didn't take long at all. The waffle fries were stale like they had been made in a large batch and had bee sitting there for a while. The meat had no flavor at all! The lettuce, cheese, tomato, all seemed fresh. Lots of pickles which was nice - most places on my put one or two if you're lucky! But the bun was delicious!

Hailey B.

Yelp
As a very loyal and frequent customer of burgerville, I'd say I'm about done with it. The service is horrendous. The food is fine. I ordered on the app and it took 25 minutes from the time I arrived in the parking lot until I got our food. I called the store 3 times and the manager hung up on me each time. She's incredibly rude and clearly ineffective. I watched the drive thru line flow and I just waited and waited for an incorrect order.

Yelp
I had a great experience here at Burgerville when I was needing a break from my room mates. To be fair...I absolutely love In-n-Out and will forever remain faithful to their burgers. I was so spoiled coming from Texas where they've built their second empire practically. Austin also has Shake Shack (Meh) but I know I tend to side more with classic style, thin patty, soft bread, and illustrious special sauce for my go-to. I am hoping they'll move upward into Northern Oregon but can't really find myself down in Medford for my fix. Enter Burgerville. Many people had told me that I should check this place out. They're a local chain who source local as much as they can. I'm not easily fooled into shakes (I eat and chew my calories...not suck them down) but they had their seasonal marionberry sundae so I ordered it along with my bleu cheese burger and regular side of fries. About 8-9 minutes later, a very nice attendant brought out my order with a smile and mentioned that they would make the sundae for me later. The fries are good in the way that they were fresh, piping hot, and crispy. Good even salt and the texture was spot on. I dig. The progression is good. Next up...burger. Burger was...good. Didn't quite scratch my itch but the patty did taste beefy (well done...so a wee bit dry). The bleu cheese was generous and the bacon tasty (though not crispy). Bun left something to be desired...it was dry and couldn't totally be mistaken as stale. I love In-n-Out buns. They're so soft and totally serve as the perfect foil for that ubiquitous orange cheese and grease. I don't care what anyone says...grease is flavor. I don't want it to drown in it but there should be a little bit of grease. This one didn't have any. It's weird to me. It's a burger with meat....it should have some grease. This burger had some mayo...perhaps I just need to try a classic burger of theirs? They didn't want to muddle the bleu cheese flavor and I respect that. I'll come back and sample an original/classic and report back. Sundae was good. Their ice cream/soft serve is pretty dense. It's creamy, not very vanilla-y, but it's pretty rich. The marionberry compote they put on top was nice, tart, not very sweet...but the ice cream drowned out a bit of its flavor. I may have liked it better mixed in but there was so much compote on it that I didn't mind. I had a hearty amount with every spoonful and I was pretty happy. It's a good, fast style burger place and I was really happy with service and the attentiveness to the presentation of my purchases. I'd come back happily and I'm excited to see what else they have for seasonal offerings.

Kimberly W.

Yelp
We decided to give Burgerville one more try today. Disappointed again! We came here because my husband wanted a halibut fish sandwich. We know they can't control the supply problems but it's disappointing. Dining rooms closed. And rude employees!!
google avatar

Jessie P.

Yelp
A convenient drive through. They source local ingredients and make a quality burger and some really delicious shakes. I like that they have seasonal items, because that helps us to connect more with our food as it becomes available. Some of my favorites: Rosemary fries, pepper-bacon cheeseburger, strawberry shortcake, batter-dipped asparagus spears, golden waffle fries, cherry-chocolate shake, halibut fish sandwich. A little spendy, but that's what happens when the ingredients get an upgrade.

Yelp
This is one of the better Burgerville branches, It is one of the nicest looking with a good layout that helps. Its a bit out of the way but the staff makes it worth the effort. How you ask? let me tell you. For one the whole place is always spotless. But the big reason is the food, its always fresh, hot, cooked perfectly and they have yet to mess up my order in any way. Thats rare in fast food. Now if it were a bit closer to my place...
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant closes at 10 PM not 11 PM as stated in yelp. We love the Burgerville food but the misinformation is quite frustrating when they cannot serve you at 10:07!
