Burgerville Is Partnering With Investors to Propel Expansion Plans | Eater Portland

"Based in Vancouver, Washington and founded in 1961, I note that Burgerville operates 39 restaurants between Corvallis, Oregon and Centralia, Washington and is known for burgers and other fast-food fare made with local products, including seasonal items like marionberry milkshakes and Walla Walla onion rings. The company has partnered with a mostly local investment group that includes the Mears family, CEO Ed Casey (who started in 2022 and will remain in the role), and former Dutch Bros CEO Joth Ricci, whose tenure at Dutch Bros saw the company go public and reduce drive-thru wait times. Leadership predicts an aggressive expansion—potentially about 10 new stores a year toward a target of 100 within five years—using a strategy of acquiring and converting existing fast-food locations where some municipalities prohibit new drive-thrus; roughly half of Burgerville’s restaurants sit on land owned by the Mears family. There is also reported, but unclear, interest from Portland’s Sortis Capital in a possible $48 million deal." - Janey Wong

Got the bacon cheeseburger and ate inside. The service was fast and friendly and the burger was pretty good. Also got a hazelnut fudge sundae but was disappointed by the lack of hazelnut flavor. It was mostly a heavy chocolatey sweet fudge flavor that overpowered any nuttiness from the hazelnut and almond. Also tried the seasonal peach green tea but was similarly disappointed by the lack of peach flavor. The green tea flavor was a bit stronger but overall it tasted kinda watery? Otherwise everything was pretty good and we left pretty satisfied.

The audacity of thinking this is worth $9. It's delicious but it has like a teaspoon of onions and slaw on it, looks like someone sat on it, and is honestly not a lot bigger than a McDouble. If you want to spend $9 on a burger and 9 minutes in the drive thru, hit up Burgerville. Carl's Jr $9 burgs are twice the size.

The food is always fresh and delivered in a reasonable amount time. The employees are hit or miss. The pressure to leave a tip is getting ridiculous. Put out a tip jar, if I get good service and a good meal I’ll tip. Prices are climbing and the portions feel smaller like everywhere. But I can grab a burger other places without getting attitude.

This is the worst Burgerville I’ve ever been to and it just consistently keeps sliding downhill in quality. I happened to show up on National Burger day so their cheeseburgers were $1.99 so I got three of them for me and my mom. I also got two small marionberry shakes and a small french fry. These burgers tasted like what I would imagine, a burger patty made out of canned cat food Would taste like. They had been sitting around so long that the cheese was melted down to the point you couldn’t even taste it and you could barely see it! They had a wad of sugary burger sauce bigger than the actual patty. The french fries were cold going into the bag and they tasted like old rancid coagulated fryer grease. Disgusting!I think it was around $23 for this trash! Shame on you Burgerville!

Worst Burgerville I've been to. The patty was definitely weird tasting and gray, the fries were partially warm. The only good thing about the food was the 2 peice fish kids meal, the fish was actually hot and fresh. The guy that took our order in the drive thru was very nice and didn't make us feel rushed, the guy that took our payment at the window was kinda sassy and just gave me weird vibes.

Genuinely so disappointed fries were cold and over salted my chicken tasted so over cooked and Smokey burnt taste. Whatever they put in the strawberry shortcake tastes like straight play dough. Strawberry shake was good. Only reason I would ever go back is for the shake. Extremely expensive aswell.

If price was a category this review would be a 4*. The fresh grain fed burger meat is fantastic. The fries are amazing. I thought I remembered them once serving fried zucchini but they no longer do. Our service was awesome. But my goodness, help out the little guy and lower your prices, In and Out is a much better financial experience.

I love Burgerville, but this one is consistently bad. I avoid rush hour anyway, but I have waited 30 minutes for a meal I preordered on the app. Also, the audacity of asking for a tip at the drive-thru window when you haven't bothered to include napkins and put the bag of fries upside-down, come on. I will just go back to driving to Monmouth, where they never miss a step.
