I have been at Burke Williams for 17 years! It is beyond sad to see it go like this. I will be offering my massage and bodywork services across the street in my massage studio for clients looking for continued bodywork in San Francisco. Check me out on Google, I've got over 100 5-star reviews. Bodywork By Michael.

The spa in the heart of downtown San Francisco offers a truly rejuvenating experience. With great amenities like sauna and steam rooms that enhance relaxation, the soothing ambience creates an inviting atmosphere, making it easy to unwind. What stands out the most is the surprisingly good treatment, which exceeds expectations.—Big shout out to Anthony for an excellent massage.Overall, it's a delightful escape in the bustling city! 💁‍♀️enter via Bloomingdales entrance if your appt is prior to mall opening.

I recently checked out Burke Williams Spa with a gift card, and wow, what a place! Too bad I'm moving soon because I'd totally become a member. From the start, the vibe was super modern and so well thought-out. The staff were friendly, and Sergio, my masseuse, was incredible. The whole spa — sauna, steam room, showers — was spotless. The entrance was a bit eerie since the mall it's in is pretty empty, but once inside, it's pure bliss. Can't take pictures, but trust me, it looks as good as it sounds. If you can visit, go for it. This place is a real gem!

All staff are professional and friendly. Beth does a great job with the hot stones and pure relaxation experience. Staff ensured there were plenty of clean towels, products, hydration areas. The front desk did a nice job at check in and as well as at check out, introducing me to aesthetician Melina, who did a thorough job matching an Eminence product. I felt safe in this City venue, going up to the fifth floor, which was quiet and beautiful.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an absolutely amazing experience at Burke Williams! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The ambiance is serene and luxurious, making it easy to relax and unwind. The facilities are spotless and thoughtfully designed, with every amenity you could need. My therapist was incredible—attentive, skilled, and truly listened to my needs. The massage left me feeling completely rejuvenated, and the attention to detail made it clear they genuinely care about their clients’ well-being. I also loved the steam room and the tranquil lounge area, where I enjoyed some quiet time before and after my service. It truly felt like a mini-retreat! If you’re looking for a spa experience that combines top-notch service with a peaceful environment, Burke Williams is the perfect place. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious escape.

I brought my friends here recently for spa day. The staff was super helpful in helping us all book. I got facial and it was so relaxing. They even addressed a black head that I didn't know I had! My friends got massages and all of them gave rave reviews. The facilities are clean. They have dry and wet saunas and a hot tub. I definitely recommend this spa if you're looking to relax in downtown SF!

Google
Burke Williams is amazing!!! So relaxing. I wish there was an establishment in my area, but I would becoming a member. I got a massage and facial. I wasn’t able to use any of the other amenities, but they looked relaxing.

Google
What an incredible experience! I wish I had known this place existed long ago, I would be a member if I lived closer! The ultimate pamper experience, from the Jacuzzi, steam room and outstanding amenities I was blown away and felt like Royalty!! The smallest details and complimentary items like tea, hair ties and other accessories show that the establishment wants you to have everything you need to enjoy yourself and feel comfortable. The Burke Williams Massage experience is amazing, my masseuse did a great job. I could spend all day there. I left feeling completely rejuvenated and relaxed.

Yelp
A day spa that is tucked inside a major city without the crowd. Located inside the SF Westfield mall by the dome. Thank you Staff at SF Burke Williams for the great memories and hospitality. The massages and amenities are really why I came here and why I don't want to leave. The only good thing about when you leave is you feel relaxed , refreshed, reenergized, and most importantly reset.

Yelp
It is always a treat to be able to stop by Burke. I love getting a deep tissue massage and also using all of the spa amenities (love the steam room and sauna). The facility is pretty spacious and attended by the staff well. Service is good.

Yelp
I'm sad that this location is closing. My husband and I have been members for 10 years. We've visited all the locations in California and this location is the one we favor. After the pandemic and the closures of the surrounding stores I was hoping that Burke Williams would move to a different spot but not close! I'm going to miss the whole staff and all the great masseuses here. I'm crossing my fingers that another Burke Williams will open here in the east bay in the future! I'm gonna go cry now...

Yelp
Happy with my experience at Burke Williams in SF. The facilities were clean and my massage was good. Not the most amazing experience, but got the job done. I came with my mom and she enjoyed herself too. There aren't many spas in the city anymore with hot tub, steam room, and sauna, so as a location that covers those amenities, I walked away satisfied. A little pricey but it's nearby and again gets the job done.

Yelp
TL;DR: Left with an injured left knee and my wounds on my body being blistering. Imagine leaving a spa with more injuries than you came in with. To sum it up: Lady at the steam room was warned about wounds on my body, proceeded to rub lemon juice and salt into my arm cuts and bug bites on my feet, re-opening them and making them sting and blister like hell. Deep tissue massage lady definitely broke the California Consent Laws by stripping me naked and yanking the towel off of me, instead of just saying "oh under all the layers of sheets, not just the first one". (I draped myself in the way the steam room lady showed me, and also you're legally not supposed to see the people naked.) Then staying in the room as I awkwardly got under the second unseen layer in front of her. Also the deep tissue lady did great with the upper half, (and we agreed on only upper half,) just for her to take it upon herself to do my lower half too..... Odd but okay, until she injured my left knee so bad that I had an increasingly bad limp for a week and a half. An embarrassing look, limping around town in a sun dress if I walk for more than 20 minutes. Also the salt scrub seems way too abrasive and non-skin safe, paired with how rude the steam room lady was about everything. Also, turns out there was a sugar scrub option. Like rude when I asked for a small warning before she re-turned on the hot water sprayers aiming for my face, chose to put salt and lemon scrub on my feet a mere 5 seconds after I told her "By the way, I have bug bites on my feet, so you can avoid my feet", and just? Lord. The steam room wasn't that relaxing either, just a lady dumping buckets of water on you as you're being sprayed with high power hoses. They followed up (weeks later, a.k.a. today) just for Eva at Burke-Williams to be vaguely snarky at moments, (like trying to allude that I wasn't under the towel, when I indeed was....) and also said the best she can do is refund 20% to the card that was charged. I told her that sadly my date who took me is no longer around, so that wouldn't really work. She snarked that it was the only thing that she could do. I asked "Not even a gift card, maybe?" "No, this is the only thing I can do." Ah yes, getting injured on a spa date from negligent workers and I get followed up on, just to be sassed, disregarded and have the option of giving an ex a 20% refund. Pathetic.

Yelp
We left a little disappointed with the San Fran location of Burke Williams day spa. Immediately we were greeted by the rude front desk lady who asks "do you not speak or something?!" And continued snarky comments. My relaxation massage was great, but my boyfriend was booked for a deep tissue massage and the therapist refused to use pressure due to her fingers being tired. Very disappointing as it was his birthday and he left upset at the quality of service. The San Fran location could use some hospitality training for the prices of service. Safe to say- we will not be back to this location.

Yelp
I'm giving this spa five stars cause overall was pretty good. It's located on the fifth floor next to the AMC theater. The staff all seem very friendly and welcoming. My friend had Gary the masseuse he said he was really good. My only complaints with this place was there's a San Francisco surcharge. I guess they can't control that. I don't have that in the Pasadena location. Also the lighting in the men's area is very dim. You can barely see the key to put in the locker. And in the shower is very dark too. Maybe I'm getting old because I couldn't read which one was shampoo or conditioner. Lol Like I said it's a pretty good place to go and relax and enjoy your day. I like the tea they offer. It's nice that they always have complementary fruit to!!

Yelp
Quick take: Bad experience I received a wonderful gift that was very well intended. The pre-paid gift was suppose to help me relax and enjoy a stress free day. Started off all wrong from the beginning. The person who booked my massage did not book the correct one that correlated to the massage that was pre-paid. I didn't find this out until checking out. The girl behind the register also took it upon herself and decided to deduct 25% from my certificate as the tip amount for the masseuse. The person that gifted me the experience ended up calling the spa because everything got screwed up. I have some type of additional service credit on my BK account. I never went went back. I'm not planning on it either. Horrible day at the spa.

Yelp
SF BW is better than SJ. The amenities were better, it appeared cleaner. The steam, sauna, jacuzzi were working. They even had a mist/rain room. Whew.. Savannahs Retreat is no joke. To put it in one word - INTENSE. You are literally taking a 50 minute shower with jets on pressure points; feet, knees, arms.. I had to catch my breath and calm down after. My heart rate was at 111. My therapist said last person had to stop 5 times. The therapist was really nice. The hot stone massage was interesting. She had her own technique and was big on energy. She did a few Thai things like bending my knees.. and I wasn't the biggest fan because I have knee issues and just want to relax. Plus she kept telling me deep breaths / talking ... I just want to relax. They dropped the ball with checkin. We had never been to the spa and we had to find our way around. The lockers are small areas and there aren't any private changing rooms or a swim suit dryer. I would go back, but I would not do the wet room for 50 mins, I think there is a 25 min express and I would not have the same masseuse. Typically, spa masseuses have a style to follow for the massage, this one was so off a program.

Yelp
My wife and I recently spent the weekend in San Francisco and wanted a first class spa experience. We found that at Burke Williams. Superb facilities and excellent customer service, from the moment we called for a reservation to the greeting at the front desk. After a stress-filled fall, we decided to pamper ourselves with an 80-minute deep tissue massage. It was worth every penny. My therapist Aisha exceeded my expectations. She listened to my needs and truly customized her service to where I needed help. She is a master at technique, lots of stretching and focus on my trigger points. It was one of my best massages ever. And my wife's experience with a male therapist was equally good. I only wish we had a spa here in Kansas City that matched the wow of Burke Williams. Can't wait till we return.

Yelp
I was very fortunate to win one of the many free services that Burke Williams donated to healthcare workers. I finally booked my appointment and am now hooked. What a beautiful Spa within Westfield. The personnel were all so kind and attentive and made me feel comfortable, showing me around with it being my first visit. The amenities are extraordinary, the saunas all so clean and with towels or water and fruit at every turn. They've forgotten nothing to make you feel pampered here. My masseuse was the phenomenal Phoebe and I'll definitely request her on my return. Thank you for the gift, BW, and the epic experience. (Now to wait for them to lift the Covid restrictions completely and have memberships include sauna access when not having a service, before I'll be getting a membership.)

Yelp
It has been a WHILE*** since I last visited Burke Williams. I've been frequenting Woodhouse Day Spa in Walnut Creek & Pearl (Korean Spa) in San Francisco. I had purchased a gift card for my mom before the pandemic, which I'm finally redeeming. I want to mention that for what you're paying for is "luxury". You're charged $180 for a 50 minute massage. Then you pay SF exorbitant sales tax + a 4% SF service tax. Meanwhile there are people doing drugs in and out of this mall. It smells like urine everywhere outside the location. But back to Burke Williams itself. The "Dames" quarters are so OLD. The "vintage" (old and ugly) iron rack in the womens restroom is barely hanging on, it's crooked, oh and the stalls beside it - 1 is out of order the other dirty. I went to the jacuzzi only to see huge chunks/clumps and many strands of hair floating. With Covid 19, monkey pox, and OCD freaks like myself on the loose. How dare you be so filthy and reckless with your hospitality BW? I skipped the amenities altogether and waited for my massage. The massage was fine, I wasn't relaxed going in because I was simply waiting rather than feeling welcomed and invited to enjoy what should be "luxury amenities". After spending a pretty $400 here today. I can confidently say: I would never return. I would never recommend this spa to anyone I know. With inflation and people cutting back on costs, I could never encourage someone to waste their hard earned currency on this place! AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Yelp
I came here for my first facial and while it was a pleasant spa experience, something they used gave my eye a reaction. The area above my right eye got really puffy and the area below it got burned or something. ): There was light scabbing and rough texture, and when I did my nighttime skincare routine that evening, the products that I use every single night caused a burning sensation. Luckily it's gone away after two days. My other major gripe- my girlfriend and I each gifted each other a facial gift certificate back in 2019. With our busy schedules and then with Covid, we only just now felt comfortable going to receive spa services that require such close contact. When checking out, they told us the gift certificates were for a "cash amount" and because they'd since raised their prices, we had to pay to cover the difference. For a spa as nice as Burke Williams, they should honor when they sell gift certificates for a specific service. The gift cards literally say they're for a "H2V Spa Style Facial - 50 mins" + Gratuity so we were unpleasantly surprised being asked to pay more. Two stars because the staff and spa were nice.

Yelp
To give them one star makes me angry because they do not deserve this. I've been there a couple times, have referred friends and was actually referred by another friend. Despite the homeless and drug use going on before you enter the building. So sat June 24th (pride weekend) I decided to not partake in the fun activities and instead go get a massage because I had credit that needed to be used. I arrived at 5:35 waited a few min to be helped and was asked if I had been around anybody with COVID in the past 10 days etc. normal stuff. Said no, signed the pad showed my id and talked to the lady because upon signing up as a member I was never told about amenities, or anything that entailed with the membership. She asked me if I had a preference of locker, which I had not been asked before. I said no, I was given my key and went to the ladies room. There was another woman dressed already there going through a bag. I got undressed and went to the steam room, I was there 10 min then seen another woman with her phone which I was under the impression they weren't allowed in the locker room. So I went and grabbed my phone and went to sit and wait for my facial to follow a massage. I go in for a 50 min facial and when I'm done I grab my phone to find cc fraud alerts. I thought no way possible my purse is in a locker I have the key. I run to the locker to find the lock broken and my purse gone. I start to panic and the cleaning ladies then say to me I think it was the girl who was here she looked suspicious. I run out frantic to the front desk and both ladies don't then their head to even ask me what's going on, a "manager" comes out and takes me to the back office. I login into my bank to find transactions at BLOOMINGDALES. I immediately call the bank because one of those debit cards is my business account. As she's in a good mood with a smile on her face and I'm crying can't even think because I can't think of all the cards I had in my credit card wallet. She then calls the police and they say that it is not priority and will come out when they can. She calls another manager on the phone and she coaches her on what to do. So I was told to write down what happened. And that she would wait for the police. Mind you my car keys were in my purse, I had no money or cards or car key to get home. They just basically said ok thanks. I get a call Wednesday from the other manager Azurayah, the police never came out. I was now being told this 5 days later. I had to go file a Police report and was questioned as to why I'm doing this 5 days later as if it wasn't important to me. Mind you the spa closes Monday until Wednesday. I had to tell them I had no idea the spa didn't file the report. The spa 100 has acted as if this is something I have to deal with. I went there for a peaceful evening and am being treated as if I was negligent in leaving my things in a locker they tell you to put your things in. I will be following with legal action but will go blue in the face spreading the word to stay away from this place.!

Yelp
The best! Excellent day spa! Treated my daughter and her friend for her birthday and they were amazing! I highly recommend, great customer service and amazing with kids. We had the best experience, we will be back!

Yelp
first time here and I had an amazing massage by summer. I got the deep tissue firm Swedish. I walked in there with neck pain and walked out of there with no neck pain. I feel 1000 times better mentally physically and emotionally. I can't recommend this place enough. I felt comfortable in my own skin. Will be back again.

Yelp
I highly recommend this spa! The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, and the space is always clean and well-maintained. I've been a member for many years now, and each visit has been a great experience. Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
Reopening after Covid- I knew things would be different and I was honestly hesitant to return. I was very pleased with all of precautions set in place to keep me and their team safe. Towels water and a small amenity kit was ready for me upon arrival and check in. Showers are available as well. I'm disappointed not to be able to have use of the full spa, but it's for obvious reasons. I do wish the monthly fees would take that into consideration and perhaps offer a reduction or something to offset that. I'm looking forward to when the world gets back to a point where I can enjoy a day at the spa again. Received an 80 minute pure relaxation massage from Felicia and left better than when I arrived.

Yelp
Hidden Gem - what a find! We loved this place - it's great to find a place that has the pool, sauna and steam room for extra relaxation that is easy to get too and even though it's in a mall it feels like a different world once you're inside. Our relaxation massages were just awesome. Especially the warmed robe at the end! I had Chai it was perfect pressure and careful adjustments. On the interior I didn't find it run down at all - not sure what others experienced but to me it looked great. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Terrible and misleading customer service. Do not get a membership here! After over 2 years of membership, that saw me through cancer diagnosis and treatment, I explained that I needed to cancel because I was moving and wouldn't have access to any spas. They said 'no problem' 'your last payment already went through and there's no refund, but you can extend your benefits multiple times, after they expire'. But when I was finally back in town this holiday season and it came time to use the $300 that I had left, they said no. They conveniently couldn't find the call where I was told the above. They could see that I had unspent money, but they just kept it. 'It's policy' they said. It's policy to steal money from your loyal customers?! That's complete BS if you ask me. They kept saying they would call me back and didn't. I had to call them multiple times. What a horrible experience and money down the drain. Not worth it. Don't get a membership. Use your gift card and Get Out!!

Yelp
This is another one of my favorite BW locations and it's tucked away on the top level of the Westfield mall on Market street in SF. The receptionist scheduled me for a 3:30 pm 80 minutes massage today and I'm excited! The women's locker room is well stocked and the attendants are very accommodating. You can't go wrong hanging out here!! The receptionist was a bit gruff so let's work on that. Otherwise, amazing!!!

Yelp
I've gotten a facial message back in my early twenties when I lived in LA and it was amazing! However today I bought a 65 minute deep tissue massage for $275, and I expected an expert massage therapist but I was disappointed. The masseuse seemed like a pedicure nail technician with her message techniques. I expected an actual certified message therapist to do my message but instead I got a mediocre message. I wish I could give Burke Williams a higher review but it wasn't that good. I have gotten messages before and this was a 5 out of 10 for me. The jacuzzi was Luke warm but the steam room was awesome!

Yelp
Yesterday, I had my first experience at Burke Williams. I'm relatively new to the area and have been asking a few people about the best spa in SF. Multiple people have suggested Burke Williams, so I booked a pure relaxation 50-minute massage, a spa-style 30-minute facial, and a brow wax. When I arrived for my appointment, I was instantly greeted very warmly and checked in, where I received a locker key. After check-in, I was escorted to the back for a facility tour. My friendly tour guide walked me through the spa and showed me the different areas (waiting room, product try-on bar, showers, restrooms, steam room, sauna, and powder room) and explained the purpose of each room. All of the areas had stations with large, full containers of iced cucumber and fruit-infused water so that clients could stay hydrated throughout the facility. The last stop was the locker room, where I found a nice comfortable robe and slippers to use. On my way out of the locker area, I passed a beverage station with delicious iced lemonade. I returned to that station a few times because it was so good. When I walked into the waiting area, I was immediately greeted by a staff member who introduced me to my massage therapist, JR. JR did a great job on my massage. He was friendly and checked in with me multiple times to ensure the pressure he was using was okay. After my massage, I was escorted to the waiting room, where I was immediately greeted by a staff member who told me I would be taken back for my next service shortly. I sat down and enjoyed a fresh apple and hot vanilla lemongrass tea. A few minutes later, the (I think) manager (who was very courteous) checked in with me and let me know I would be taken back soon. When it was time for me to go back for my facial, the manager introduced me to my esthetician, Melina. Melina was wonderful. She had a calming presence, was kind, and very knowledgeable. Melina paid great attention to detail and explained everything she was using or doing and the benefits of each step. She also asked about my current skincare routine and made reasonable suggestions to improve it. I've had a lot of facials, but this has been my best facial experience to date. I will definitely ask for Melina the next time I book a facial. After my facial, I was escorted to the locker room area. I changed back into my clothes and noticed the wide variety of products available in the powder room/communal areas. I think the mouthwash, hair ties, cool towels, and moisturizing lotions were my favorites. Then, I went to the front and checked out. The only critique I have is I wish they would get rid of those dingy-looking carpet floors in the spa. Also, it was kind of crowded for a spa, but I will make sure to come during a less popular time for my next visit. I came into the spa feeling stressed and anxious but left feeling very refreshed, peaceful, and happy. I recommend this spa to others and will be back as soon as I can. I was glad to hear that even though the mall is closing, this spa will still be open.

Yelp
I had a 9 AM reservation for a min 50 min deep tissue massage. The staff were great, the environment was clean, the massage was great! The amenities were great! They have a sauna, steam room, mist room, jacuzzi, a quiet room. Idk if I'm missing anything, but definitely a great please to relax.

Yelp
I came here for my friend's birthday celebration with a spa day for the 4 of us. We each did deep tissue and a prenatal and all enjoyed it. My locker was having issues locking so I was late to my appointment (at 11am) but they accommodated me. I currently am in a boot from foot surgery and appreciated the care to avoid it during the whole session. My therapist (I believe her name is Wendy - petite and super strong!) demolished my body with a really deep tissue massage. The sore feels so good and definitely helped relieve a lot of my muscle knots all over since having to crutch around post-surgery. Definitely recommend the deep tissue but tell them to be more gentle if it is too hard. Amenities are still very clean and full of things you need so you don't need to bring much there when using everything. $210 for 50 mins and 20% gratuity comes out to be $260 for my visit here.

Yelp
This spa out of many of them in the city has a good range of amenities! Hot tub Wet room Sauna Steam room Quite room Lounge They offer the standard spa services like different types of massages and facials. They are also have add ons like aromatherapy, hot stone, and more! My go to's when booking are Summer and Phoebe! They are just so great!! I'll continue to come back and be a regular here because of them!

Yelp
I have been a member with Burke Williams for a very long time. Due to COVID and a relocation I had accumulated over 700 dollars not used . That decided not to extend my credits and did not even receive a courtesy call they've kept 358 dollars of my hard earned working money . I'm so disappointed on how greedy they have gotten . I will not be going back again. Honestly if you are in the business of customer experience and relationships definitely not doing a good job. That is all. I don't ever leave bad reviews but my two cents had to be said . Hope you have a better experience.

Yelp
I had a great experience here- deep tissue massages for me and my a friend. I had Derrick as my therapist and he is AMAZING! I like very deep pressure and he's got a magic touch. The facilities are great; worth planning extra time there to enjoy the full experience there. Guest services are first rate.

Yelp
Gender preferences mean nothing here. I asked for a particular gender for my massage. Come to find out the person was transitioning to another gender. While that is certainly their choice and they have every right to that; don't ask me my preference for a masseuse if there is gender fluidity at your location (birth gender vs identity gender). Respect both the trans community and your consumers by assigning such masseuse to your consumers who don't have a gender preference. Horrible experience. Horrible management. Instead of trying to address the issue with sensitivity they tried to shame me for walking out of the massage. If it's such a problem to have a gender preference at your salon please do NOT ask customers their preference. Management creates an unwelcoming environment both to trans employees and consumers by their insensitive behavior.

Yelp
I have been a off/on member of BWDS for over a decade. I use to get the  memberships quite often, but would always cancel it. While this is a exquisite spa, I felt like I never got my monies worth w their masseuses. I was paying over $200 a visit for above and beyond amenities, cause the massages was boo boo. So I found a great personal masseuse online that I would go to and then use my BW membership privileges for the hot tub, etc amenities. This became a bit much, so I canceled my membership, I went thru waves of this cycle 3x before the pandemic because BW is a really nice spa. I went w/group in 2022 and it was the exact same. I went on yesterday 3/15 and sadly, my experience was disappointing. Again, amenities are second to none, I was booked w/Jennifer. I was a lil sleepy when they came for me to get my massage, made it to the massage room and once she started the massage, I had to keep telling her to go deeper, etc. I finally looked at her and said your not Jessica. She said no, I'm June. Pissed I got thru the 65 min it was NOT at all worth $265.  Upon checking out I voiced my complaint to the lady at the counter. She apologized and proceded to ask me how was my experience was and if I wanted to leave a tip. Once again I reiterated my disappointment and then answered her. told her I planned on reflecting my experience in my review that I will submit to BWDS. Last, but certainly NOT least. The wait staff. Ooooh BURKE give them a raise, I've been to BW-Santana Row and SF. Hands down SF wait staff is AWESOME!!! Now thats who deserves my 20% tip.

Yelp
Had a girls day and went to the Burke Williams in Santana Row. We both had pure relaxation massages . My massage therapist Therese was amazing! She gave the right amount of pressure and I was jelly after 80 minutes. Was so relaxed couldn't feel my feet. All the emotional stress after losing my fur baby Kaep over the pass weekend seemed to disappear. Scheduled another massage for next week with ThereseTaking advantage of my membership. The best thing ever. Self care is important!! Please schedule early and this place is really busy according to some of the clients I spoke too. So will be scheduling 2-4 weeks in advance. Love that this facility had a separate spa amenities for its members!!

Yelp
I had a gift certificate for a 50 minute pure relaxation massage and it was an amazing experience! Becca gave me a wonderful massage and was very informative. All the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the sauna and the jacuzzi which I didn't realize I could use them for the wholevday! And their lemonade inside the spa area was so good I had to stop myself from drinking it all

Yelp
3.5 stars. Fantastic Signature massage. Really friendly employees. Delicious vanilla lemongrass tea (never tried that before!). But I had hoped for a place that charges $180/massage, they would decorate with real flowers (not fake) and offer more than just bananas and oranges.

Yelp
I planned a very special mother-daughter spa day on Memorial Weekend and was thrilled they were open on the holiday, as well as per their online information, they were open to teens to services as long as accompanied by a parent. This was to be our combined birthday celebration as we are only a week apart. Because I had had a wonderful experience with family there for another special occasion, I was excited to invest in another cherished family celebration and made the reservation weeks in advance. Upon our arrival, my daughter was denied the services and excluded, despite having filled out all the information in advance. The management was summarily dismissive. My family occasions will no longer include Burke Williams. Shame, as I was considering a membership.

Yelp
Had my 3rd visit here . 10/10. As an esthetician, the facial was EVERYTHING! Upgrade to 80 mins and get the Vit C Peel. You won't regret it

Yelp
I blame the holidays, but lately, my idea of self care is a Sephora mask at home and having Trader Joe's wine. Nothing wrong with that, but that's certainly not the caliber that Burke Williams Day Spa provides. So, when I saw an online holiday special offering 20% discount at BW for any of their services, along with a coveted $50 voucher for use towards products, I made sure to buy several packages. #treatyoself I booked a spa style facial and added a vitamin C peel since I've been getting some breakouts lately #toomuchtreatinmyself :( I've been here twice now and both times I've made sure to arrive more than an hour before my appointment for maximum enjoyment of their amenities. I love that it's a full spa: not a small facility where there are one or two rooms where you go in, strip down, get your service and then you pop back into daylight right away. BW has a general lounge, enjoyed by both men and women, but they have separate facilities that include jacuzzi, steam room, dry sauna, showers, locker rooms and a quiet room. In the women's locker room, there are several stations for you to get dolled up: blow dryers, curling irons and the like. All of these amenities are for you to use before or after your service. Ultimately, these are the extras that bump up the price tag, but I take advantage of it all, so that's money well spent to me. The facials are divine and accompanied with a brief shoulder, foot and hand massage. Your hands are also dipped in hot paraffin wax at the start of the treatment and they feel super soft after. I've had Gabby and Linda as my aesthetician. Both do great in cleaning up my pores, but Linda enjoys performing extractions more. BW has their own line of skincare products which they use on you (i like their toner) but I really love their Eminence organic skincare products from Budapest. I'm crazy about the Stone Crop mask which is really hydrating and controls redness (perfect for the winter season) and their Facial oil which provides amazing hydration and restores elasticity to the skin. Being in my 30's, I shy away from drugstore brands and do my research since I have reactive/sensitive skin. Self care is very important and I vow to make it a conscious decision to take it more seriously in 2018. After all, if you don't take care of yourself, who will?

Yelp
Would have been perfect if they offered days that are co-ed so I can enjoy the place with my husband. I've been to other spas outside the city (Fairmont in Sonoma) that let me and my husband hang out in the spa facilities together. But otherwise, this place is good for a girls-only spa day.

Yelp
Jeremy's massaging skills and his attention to my needs made my treatment amazing. This combined with how wonderful the rest of the staff is, makes this my favorite Burke Williams and spa in SF.

Yelp
This is my first, and last time, going to this place. When I scheduled the appointment over the phone, I especially asked whether I could combine two gift cards into one. The scheduler over the phone said yes. However, I was later told that those gift cards are not supposed for combined use. After I expressed my displeasure, they finally agreed to combine the value of the two gift cards for the type of massage that I received. After the massage, I forgot to stop by the counter to check out but I did call back the next day to straighten it out. However, the managers keep harassing me by calling me multiple times (even once at 7:30 am in the morning), demanding the gift cards be mailed back to them ( I took pictures of the gift cards and emailed them back already.) In addition, the two managers' attitude was less than friendly. They both use professional vocabulary in their conversation, but you can sense from their tone of voice that they were trying to make me feel bad.

Yelp
Santana was fully committed and SF was our last resort. Girlfriend's birthday and this was her first massage ever so we had to go all out and make sure it is perfect. Had brunch/dinner early and took a shot before we arrived. Believe you can bring your own champagne and they charge you a $25 cork fee. We decided not to. Wish they incorporated couples massage so that way at least two of us Canberra in the same room. Nonetheless we all got 50 minute massages and it was pure relaxation. It is a hit and miss. Everyone got a different technique and stroke and level of pressure. My friend and I enjoyed Lucero and Annie, it was the right amount of depth. It was hilarious afterwards, looking for one of our girl and she was in the jacuzzi already. Lol. Enjoyed their lemongrass tea too. We sipped for a while and headed to the steam room and felt like sweaty Betty but that be opening up your pores and so good for your joints. The sauna was too dry for us. It was a fun evening. Thank you Burke Williams

Yelp
Had a wonderful first experience at BW San Francisco today. The Spa was beautiful clean and staff was amazing. I was immediately greeted upon entering and given a tour of the Spa and all its amenities. My masseuse "Imani" was not only excellent but she listen to my problem areas and gave the perfect amount of pressure. I felt like I was floating when I left. Thank to everyone I came in contact with at BW today you made my first experience special & memorable.

Yelp
I came here for a bachelorette spa day. Spa amenities were great my review is solely for the Gel manicure service. My nail technician could not shape my nails whatsoever. I asked for coffin and she said she didn't know how to do that. Ok sure I went with square then. After nearly 1.5 hours of her "shaping" and "correcting" I just gave up. I asked for the coats to be thin and she assured me it would be. Low and behold bulky as f! If you're going to charge customers $75+ for a gel set I would expect it to be AT LEAST mediocre. This set was awful and I can not wait to get it removed. If you want a set that looks like your baby sister helped ya come here! (Photo of nails is 9 days after the service)

Yelp
Very relaxing massage. Clean and very classy spa. I couldn't get any pictures due to not having cellphone in most areas to protect privacy. The hot tub is amazing! Nice and hot! I had the pure relaxation massage which put me to sleep. If I'm ever in the area again I'd love to come here for another session.

Yelp
Ive been going to this place for years and i have always loved it but i went post covid and was a bit disappointed that : 1- i had to go out of my way to ask the spa attendant to make a mini towel with essential oils on it and wait for her to do it, simply because they no longer take the time to prepare them in advance and set them in the refrigerator for everyone's convenient access. And this is not a covid thing because if it was, it would be the same reasoning as to why they should not have brushes available for women's hair! 2 - the skin products that are sold used to have samples of them available to spa clients. This was cool because it was a good way to market their products and this time would have come in handy because I wanted to see if I liked any products since one of the summer perk gift cards is that you get 20% off certain skin products that are sold there so it discouraged me from getting the summer special. Wishes for future: 1) modern chairs that recline better in the quiet room 2) coat rack options for hanging towels/clothes near the jacuzzi (so as to avoid placing them and belongings on the ground). I have never been super impressed by the staff at the front desk in this spa but I have to say the new manager (or at least i have never met her) is very sweet and competent and efficient in handling small hiccups in every day business so I am really happy to know she is there!

Yelp
Was in San Francisco for a special trip and had a chance to experience this spa. Very clean and relaxing lobby, amazing spa amenities including Jacuzzi dry sauna and steam room. Clean towels and robes. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
UPDATE: The response from management is not correct. We had a separate voucher for a complimentary message enhancement and it was not honored. It's just $25 but still disappointed with the customer service.
