I couldn't tell you one negative thing about this place. The food was excellent, the service was exactly what we hoped for, and my belly was full when I left. My girlfriend and I stopped by on Saturday afternoon before catching a movie, around 3pm. We sat down immediately and feasted for the next 1.5 hours. The tea leaf salad is a default that we try at every Burmese restaurant. Always good! We then ordered the Burmese lamb curry and salt/pepper chicken. Both were fresh and delicious! I will definitely be coming back 😁

Burma 2 is a hidden gem in downtown Walnut Creek that delivers bold, unforgettable flavors in every bite. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and modern decor set the tone for a great dining experience. I tried the Chicken Burmese Pad Thai, Burmese Garlic Noodles, Basil & Dried Chili Lamb and everything was incredibly flavorful and well-balanced. Portions are generous, perfect for sharing. Service was attentive and knowledgeable—they explained the dishes and made great recommendations. The cocktails were creative and paired really well with the spices in the food. Whether you're familiar with Burmese cuisine or trying it for the first time, Burma 2 will blow you away. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Berma 2 is one of our favorite restaurants in WC. It is must for anyone. Great food, staff and atmosphere. We started with the Samosas appetizer. We then ordered the lamb dry curry and the Burmese Garlic Noodles. Both were delicious. We had the Burmese Semolina Cake for dessert with mango ice cream, which was great! They offer outdoor seating.

Google
Wonderful dining experience! All of the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food came out quickly and tasted fresh and flavorful. Recommend the fried chicken! The ambiance was also very nice. Update: the leftovers we took home tasted just as good, if not better, since the flavors got to simmer!

We were come to having a lunch on Monday, July 21 and we got table outside because we bring our dogs. And Thanks to Miguel for warm, and outstanding service to customer, he was hosting and bring us and our dogs water. Food is great and unique, must try! Definitely will back because of the service!

Google
After looking forward to dining at Burma2, because it has an attractive outdoor seating area and looks clean and inviting inside, we were disappointed by the rather casual, nonchalant staff attitude. We arrived before the dinner time rush, so the restaurant wasn’t crowded, yet we found the wait staff was inattentive. The chicken lettuce wrap appetizer was good, as was the sesame chicken, but the garlic chicken and pad Thai shrimp were disappointing, especially for the price.

Google
We passed by the restaurant. We patio looked very inviting so we decided to give it a try. We love sitting outdoors while eating. We ordered a tea leaf salad. It’s very good. We also ordered Burmese shrimp and Burmese curry. They are ok.

Grace L.

Google
The lotus chip and leaf salad was great! The lamb was a little bit dry but dried curry was tender. Great atmosphere for family gathering!

Yelp
Went for a later weeknight dinner at Burma 2, and we were warmly welcomed and seated right away. Service started right and was really terrific throughout the meal. The gentleman running the front of the house and our server were both professional and attentive, including ensuring that our water glasses were full and that checking in about our meal. We also took at advantage of their free Sinha beer promo (you get reimbursed $6 online after the meal). We really enjoyed the Burmese curry with lamb over coconut rice, with the curry being mild and thinner but with excellent Burmese flavors and tender chunks of lamb. The sautéed eggplant was also very good, with fresh eggplant complemented by spices and herbs. The palate was also flaky and great to dip into the curry. While we've taken out from Burma 2 several times, it was great to eat in and take advantage of the wonderful service and to eat the dishes fresh out of the kitchen!

Yelp
I had such a great experience at Burma 2 in Walnut Creek! I ordered the Minted Jalapeño Chicken, coconut rice, and (not pictured) calamari -- everything was really, really good. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and the whole meal just hit the spot. Definitely recommend if you're in Walnut Creek and craving something flavorful. I'll be coming back!

Yelp
It's a bit hard to find parking in the area. There's street parking around but this area is good about giving tickets if you're not on top of feeding the meter. The service was top notch and everyone was not only nice but super quick to get us water and orders in as soon as we were ready. Their walnut shrimp is basically honey walnut prawns. The broccoli and chicken was a healthy option for us with vegetables and protein. It was a tiny bit on the bland side for my taste. The favorite was the garlic noodles that comes with a sweet sauce on the side that you can add to taste. It was garlicky enough and the noodles were perfectly textured. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. The food was good but it was average.

Yelp
Delicious Burmese cuisine, friendly attentive service, pleasant upscale ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit here today ! We came here just for a light lunch. They have a menu with lunch combos, but we elected to order from their dinner/standard menu. We chose: Eggplant & Garlic: For veggies, we selected the "Eggplant & Garlic" dish that combines big slices of eggplant stir fried in a hot wok with garlic, ginger, basil, so sauce and sambal chili. Can't go wrong with that, and sure enough, it was tasty to the last spoonful of the sauce reduction.. The flavors were bang-on great. I might consider adding the shrimp next time, as the sauce reminded me strongly of a dish I had like this in Singapore. SOLID 5/5! For the Eggplant dish as with the curries, I recommend ordering them with a bowl of rice - they have brown rice, jasmine (white) rice, and basmati rice - take your pick. We played it safe with just the jasmine (white) rice - two bowls split between the three of us. Pumpkin Curry: Our other entree was the Pumpkin Curry with an optional meat of your choice (chicken, beef, lamb or shrimp) - or with tofu/veggies if you want to go vegetarian. We chose the chicken, which was presented in thin slices of white meat that was super tender and moist. - Perfectly prepared. Asides from the chicken, the pumpkin curry also includes kobacha squash, coconut milk, broccoli, tender slices of carrot and bay leaf. This too was Excellent (5/5).. We don't get out to this part of the world much, but I definitely look forward to coming back here if I am anywhere nearby, or maybe I'll just make a special trip!. Yup. Highly recommended in my book!

Yelp
Food was amazing. Had the lunch special and every item from soup salad to entrée was delicious. Service was great and very attentive Ambience was nice, cozy and pleasant

Yelp
If you work out and high protein is essential to your diet, their jalapeño chicken and rice is an absolute must. The protein portions for this plate are remarkably generous and the taste is great. I also enjoyed the empanadas and coconut drink but the chicken plate def stole the show

Yelp
Tasty food and cocktails. We had the tea leaf salad, wheat noodles and tofu, and fried chicken along with a couple cocktails. The service was good, food came out swiftly and hot. The food tends to be on the sweeter side and not too spicy. The ingredients are fresh. We'll definitely eat here again.

Yelp
3.5 Stars I wasn't a fan of Burma Superstar, but I wanted to give Burmese cuisine another try--and I'm glad I did. Burma 2 made the experience more enjoyable than I remembered. We came on a Saturday night and were pleasantly surprised there was no wait, even though the place was busy with a few large parties. The atmosphere felt lively but not chaotic, which was a plus. Service was great as they kept checking up on us. The tea leaf salad was light, refreshing, and much better than the version I had at Burma Superstar. It had a great balance of flavors and textures. The Burma Noodle dish was unique and satisfying--definitely my preferred noodle dish of the night. I also tried the garlic noodles with duck, but that was underwhelming. When you hear "garlic noodles," you expect bold, rich garlic flavor. This was pretty bland by comparison, and the duck didn't really elevate it. The Burmese fried chicken came as small fried bites with a basic sweet-and-sour sauce poured over. The mango and fresh veggies were a nice touch, but overall, it didn't wow me. If you like crispy chicken, I'd recommend asking for the sauce on the side. Also tried the Minted Jalapeño Chicken, which was light and flavorful--easy to eat and well-cooked--but surprisingly lacked any noticeable jalapeño heat or flavor. If you're expecting a spicy kick, this probably won't deliver. All in all, Burma 2 was a step up from my previous experience with the cuisine, but some dishes still fell short of expectations. Worth a try if you're curious, but I'd stick to select menu items.

Yelp
Arrived on a Sunday afternoon a little after 1:30pm, and it wasn't busy. It was a little difficult to find parking but we ended up doing metered street parking near the restaurant. Waited about 10 minutes after ordering for the food to arrive! - Burmese Garlic Noodles - enjoyed this! Also thought the portion size was perfect for me, though a bit more chicken would have been nice - Burmese Pad Thai - my friend usually orders pad thai and enjoyed this - Chicken and Shrimp Biryani - my friend's boyfriend ordered this, and he thought it was quite tasty but felt the portion size was a bit small. It does seem like they give you a good amount of protein though I think the dishes are made to be shared family style, because they provided serving utensils to us with each dish, but half of our brains were clearly not functioning, so we ate them with the serving utensils...and didn't bother to unwrap the napkins that contained the actual eating utensils until after we realized our mistake HAHA Overall pretty good and reasonably priced place for Burmese food in Walnut Creek! The environment is quite nice, and it's a great place to eat and catch up with friends. I don't live close by, so not sure if I see myself coming back, but if I'm ever in the area, I'd be down to try other things on their menu!

Yelp
Burma 2 is a well known and visited eating establishment. It has the vibe where locals meet up over a nice meal or drink. Brianna was our server. She was fast and efficient. Everything we ordered (see the photos) was excellent. The stand out dish was the Coconut Chicken Curry Palata. The bread was so so good! I wish they gave more of it. The only thing I didn't care for surprisingly was the Tea Leaf Salad. There was some spice in it that did not set well with my stomach, but I know that it is a favorite for many people. If you come here, know this: -Parking is right outside. Don't forget to pay -Everything you order will be wonderful -Service is excellent -It is loud and hard to hear people at your table -bathrooms needed to be serviced more often Enjoy your visit. I did and I'll be back. Thank you

Yelp
don't think I've ever had Burmese food before, so I wasn't sure what to expect -- but since I enjoy Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine, I figured it might be somewhat similar. We came on a Saturday night and the place was lively, though not overly crowded -- plenty of energy with a few open seats left. We ordered a variety of dishes to share: tea leaf salad, Burma noodle, garlic noodle with duck, Burmese fried chicken, and minted jalapeño chicken. * Tea Leaf Salad - My favorite of the night. Refreshing, bright, and layered with textures -- lots of crunch, lots of flavor. It really stood out as something unique to Burmese cuisine. * Burma Noodle - Another standout. Flavorful, refreshing, and full of different ingredients that tied the dish together. A touch of citrus made it especially vibrant. * Minted Jalapeño Chicken - Reminded me of Thai basil chicken stir fry, but it lacked depth in flavor. The jalapeño added texture but surprisingly little heat. * Garlic Noodles with Duck - The most underwhelming. Hardly any garlic flavor, and the duck felt like it was just placed on top rather than incorporated into the dish. * Burmese Fried Chicken - Crispy and tasty, but essentially sweet-and-sour popcorn chicken. Good, but it didn't feel distinctly Burmese. Overall, the tea leaf salad and Burma noodle made the meal worth it. The other dishes were less memorable, but I'd still come back if I'm in Walnut Creek again -- especially to keep exploring more of the menu.

Yelp
We saw this on Check, Please! and had to give it a try since it was so close. The food was amazing! The lettuce wrap with shrimp had all this amzing textures and flavors with each bite. The lemongrass chicken definitely had a kick, but in a good way. The sesame beef was sweet and crunchy. The home style fried rice was a pleasant surprise with the beand and tumeric, so yummy!! Unfortunately they didn't have any dessert available that night. But everything was delicious. Not cheap, we were well over $80 for 2 of us, but worth it! (and we ate a lot) Service was nice and the place was clean. Will have to return and try more!

Yelp
Surprisingly delicious Burmese food! I was craving pad thai but wanted to try something different. I'm so glad we found this place on yelp! The service was super friendly. They allowed us to sit at a big round table with a bench which gave us plenty of room to sit on either side of our toddler. They were also super accommodating with the spice options and made sure that everything was served without spiciness for my son. We ordered a coconut-based noodle soup dish which my son absolutely devoured. He also loved the chicken and shrimp biryani (mostly the chicken). He ate his belly full and promptly fell asleep on the bench. Thankfully they didn't rush us out and let us take our time to get him into his stroller and out the door. All in all a great experience and I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
I came here with my best friend for lunch on a Sunday. We split the eggplant & garlic, lemongrass chicken, and a bowl of coconut rice. The food was pretty solid, and the coconut rice was especially delicious. I think they executed the coconut rice really well here, as it was balanced and not overly sweet or salty. I would've preferred the eggplant & garlic with whole cloves rather than minced garlic, as it should be more for flavour, but overall not bad.

Yelp
We ordered a few dishes to share. This location has a small parking lot next to the restaurant but it was full so we parked in the street with a parking meter. Tea Leaf Salad - this was my fave. it has the right amount of flavors and the crunch. Would come back just to order the salad Salt N Pepper Chicken wings - crispy and juicy. It was good with some drizzle of the sweet chili sauce Pan Fried Salmon - over cooked and not a lot of flavors. It came with the side spicy dipping sauce. Too spicy for my liking Burma noodles - my least liking. It is too grainy and not enough veggies and tofu. Not recommended Burma Shrimp - very salty. I wished this was less salty because I like shrimp stir fry Overall, my favorite dish was the tea leaf salad and salt n pepper chicken wings. Everything was not as good as I expected. Service is good and food is mediocre

Yelp
I am so glad that there is a Burmese restaurant out this way now and of good caliber food! Note there is parking right before you hit the restaurant and if you passed it like I did, just turn left at the end of its short block and on the left side another city parking area. So good parking- note Sundays you have to feed the meter as well. Ambiance was nice and clean. Staff were all very friendly and polite and plenty of help! They have a nice seating patio area as well. We made reservations and it seems it gets pretty busy quick. Now for the food- Mango chicken is what I came for! 4.3 stars. I have had better at other Burmese restaurants but it was still a solid 4.3 stars- good. Tea Leaf salad- 4 stars a little different than ones I have had but still solid and good. Samosa-I personally like these better than Indian samosas which has heavier crusts. This one is smooth and crisp like good eggroll wrappings. 5 stars-perfection. Only thing is I wish they had a 6-8 option instead of just 4- we ordered 2 dishes of this. Eggplant with shrimp- 5 stars. Great sauce- one of the better eggplant dishes I have tried! This was a favorite among the entire group! Garlic noodles w/chicken 4 stars Other noodles my son ordered nyun duk(?) was ok 3 stars Minted jalapeño ground chicken-3.7 stars-a bit dry, but tasty still. Tip: leftovers for home add lettuce leaves and hoisin sauce and slivered green onions for lettuce wraps at home! Sesame beef-4 stars-right amount of crunchiness must be deep fried and sweet but savory. Very good and kind of different than Chinese ones. Kind of orange beef taste to it too. Food comes out to 4.1 and with everything combined like service I would give it a 4.7 star rating. If I hadn't eaten Burmese food before like Burma Superstar, Mingalaba and Mandalay which are all excellent Burmese restaurants then this would have been up there. Those restaurants are like Michelin Star so highly rated. This restaurant is close to that and in our area! And compared to other restaurants and cuisines in the East Bay, this one is up there in food taste! Spicy with just the right amount of spice and there is actual good tasty food! The price point is decent as well for what you get. We had 8 people and 229.( including gratuity 20%added to the bill already) I think is reasonable these days for all the food we had! I really love that we have Burmese out here and I don't have to trek far, so this is probably going to be one of my favorite go-tos from now on! I can't wait to try the curries and paratha and fried bananas next time! They were awesome giving me/us complimentary mango ice cream birthday desserts on top of that! So much so with such great service, I think I'm boosting it to 5 stars overall and I usually only account for food! But I think this restaurant is solidly good with plenty of potential and I want to keep this kind of restaurant in our area because quite honestly after Covid it is hard to find a great restaurant that hits all the points and this one does and I wish it much success!

Yelp
Pretty great place to get food! We mostly got the noodle dishes (fish soup and pad Thai) along with a samosa. The portions are a bit small but very flavorful. Service is very attentive in a good way. Ambiance is clean with pictures of Burma on the wall. Overall it's a great place to go if you're feeling adventurous and want a good time!
google avatar

Jamey P.

Yelp
Had a good Sunday lunch here a few weeks ago! Service was really quick. We started off with the samosas and tea leaf salad (the salad's unique, haven't had it elsewhere and it's a treat). For entrees, we got the Burma noodles, eggplant & garlic and mango chicken, plus jasmine rice. My mom thought there'd be more spice to it, but it was on the milder side. Not sure if you can order by spice level here, but it was still a delicious meal, and made for good leftovers the next day. Staff was friendly, and checked up on us occasionally, including the manager. Can't go wrong with Burma 2!
google avatar

Masha G.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for lunch on a weekday, and I'm a fan! We ordered the tea leaf salad and the coconut noodle soup. They were both good, but the coconut noodle soup was spectacular on a cool day! I also ordered the garlic eggplant to go and it was perfection! The service was also lovely and attentive. Would highly recommend, and can't wait to come back and try more things!

Yelp
My sister recommend this place as I've never had Burmese food. My party of 4 visited on a Friday evening and were seated upon entry. The staff are very kind and attentive. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a few different things including the Lamb Palata, Roast Duck Garlic Noodle, Eggplant & Garlic, Chicken & Shrimp Biryani, and the Homestyle Fried Rice. The waiter also informed us that we're able to adjust the spice level. Everything turned out to be delicious! Service was quick and efficient. I'm looking forward to coming back to try more dishes.

Yelp
Had a nice lunch meeting a friend in this place. We both had the lunch special. My friend got the curry tofu and I got the stir fry chicken (forgot the name). The lunch special came with samosa soup and two choices of salad. We both got the delicious mango salad and enjoyed our meal. The service was great as well
google avatar

Sutona S.

Yelp
Service was a little weird this time because we came right before they closed for lunch so everyone was ready to go. It's ok, I understand. Food is however always good & on a nice summer winter day outdoor seating was a plus. Garlic noodles 7/10 Minted chicken 10/10 Salt & Pepper Shrimp 10/10 Burmese Ice tea 10/10
google avatar

Billy M.

Yelp
Checked this place out for lunch and it was great. My favorite dishes: Dry Curry Beef, Coconut Rice and Tea Leaf Salad. The sweet coconut rice plays the perfect foil for the rich curry beef. Perfect match. The tea leaf was very good. Very good example of this style of salad. Also the portions were good size and you shouldn't leave hungry. The service was good too. Our waiter did a good job of giving us recommendations and food came out in a reasonable time. The dining area is spacious and good for big groups. There were two birthday celebrations as well as an example. They also have a full bar with lots of drink options. There is street parking and some in alley next door. But the alley is paid parking and kind of cramped.

Yelp
I've heard excellent things about Burmese cuisine from several people, but I never had the chance to try it out until a few months ago when a friend recommended that we get dinner at Burma 2. I searched online to find a good traditional Burmese dish for a first timer, and multiple sources pointed me to Moh Hin Gha (pureed catfish chowder). It turned out to be so delicious! I loved it! It reminded me of a soup version of this Filipino noodle called Palabok. I would highly recommend it for those not familiar with Burmese cuisine. My friend and I also shared an appetizer plate of Palata which is a flaky flatbread that is served with curry. This was also an excellent choice. I got to try a few bites of my friend's order too. Everything that I tried that evening was great! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Enjoyed a pleasant dinner out with the ladies. If you love Indian and Thai food; then this is the place for you! We ordered the Tea Leaf Salad, Palata with chicken curry, Samosas, and 2 different curry dishes. It was fabulous! Customer service never lagged. Well done Burma 2!

Yelp
Just had lunch here today and the food was good. We tried the lunch menu which came with a small salad and a cup of the samosa soup which was flavorful! Food tasted great, good combination of spices and all were cooked perfectly. Nice little spot in Walnut Creek.
google avatar

Jia M.

Yelp
This is my first time trying Burmese food so I'm not sure what the standard flavors are supposed to be like. The garlic noodle didn't have a strong garlic taste so it wasn't my favorite. The calamari also wasn't super flavorful.
google avatar

Danika Z.

Yelp
This is my second time ordering take out from them in two months. The order from last month were dissapointing, I thouht I would give it another try today. Unfortunately, the food here just isn't nearly as good as a long time ago. Last month, I ordered three veggie dishes to bring to a family gathering. One of the dishes i think it was the green beans with tofu. It had sooo much ginger in it the taste was overwhelming. NO one (around 10 people at the gathering) liked it and it remained barely touched at the end of the night. This time I ordered the minced mint chicken - it's ok, not nearly as good as others I have had. 3/5 Veggie Burmese curry - tastes like saggy stir fry and not curry at all. 2/5 I will not be ordering from here anymore.

Yelp
Our first experience at Burma 2 was amazing. Their food was delicious! I was very surprised with how quick they gave us our order. I really enjoyed their Walnut Shrimp however, they do keep the tails on which didn't bother me at all (but may bother some). The fried rice was interesting but good as well, and I also liked their string beans. It had a slight garlic taste on it and they were crunchy. I was hoping the lemongrass chicken was crispy but nevertheless was also very flavorful. One thing that I would have enjoyed is sitting less closely to people. The area felt kind of squished together sitting so closely with the next table. Other than that, it was great.

Yelp
Went here for a belated birthday dinner and the for, service and staff are all great. Everything was delicious, portions are a bit small, but I do think high quality. Nothing was overly salty or oily, which is nice. Everything has a good amount of seasoning, and tasted good. Everyone at the table liked the food as well. Really nice restaurant for dinner, or a date night with lots of outdoor seating

Yelp
I was excited to try this place with my family, but we were a little disappointed. First of all, the service and ambiance of this place is 10/10. The inside is a bit fancier than I was expecting.....I was hoping for a chiller eating experience, but it was still nice. Pricing was a bit much for the portions though. I've never had Burmese food, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But the simplicity of all the flavors we tasted was quite disappointing. I totally believe Burmese food is much more flavorful and complex than what we had (because I've eaten a lot of other southeastern Asian foods close to these dishes). The dishes we got mostly tasted like food from a mediocre Thai restaurant (I'm really sorry to say!)...the Burmese fried chicken was practically just fried chicken (which was good and crispy), covered in what tasted exactly like the store-bought Thai chili sauce. The mangos on top paired nicely, but overall it didn't feel like a very authentic dish. The moh hin gha was a dish I was excited to try, but again it lacked a lot of flavor and the noodles were soggy. We also got the garlic noodles, which lacked any garlic flavor and was not even salty. The beef was good but nothing special imo. Overall, we got some bland dishes that day unfortunately. What I WILL praise though, is that coconut rice. 100/10. Overall, this is a nice restaurant with decent southeast Asian food. It would be fun for people who have never or rarely eat food with flavors like this. But for those expecting a flavorful culinary experience....you might want to go somewhere else.

Yelp
We had lunch at Burma 2 on a Saturday, and although there were many open seats inside and out, the service provided was minimal. It appeared that everyone was running around, not knowing what to do. My companion made several comments to me about how bad the service at the restaurant was. The food was good and fresh. The reason for the one-star review is that I accidentally left my business debit card at the table. 2 days later, while I was far away in another state, I realized it was no longer in my possession. I immediately checked my bank account and saw that the last transaction was from Burma 2, with no other charges. I called the restaurant and, after three attempts, got nowhere trying to talk to someone. No matter what I did, I could not get anyone on the phone, it would just cut me off. However, a man from the restaurant called me back right away. I explained my situation, and he confirmed that the card was there. I explained I was out of town and asked if he would be so kind as to mail the card to me. He agreed with what I noticed was a bit of reluctance, which I found odd. I returned two days later, and it had not come. A week after I'd left it at the restaurant, it still hadn't arrived, so I called again. I spoke to the same person, who chuckled slightly when I explained my circumstances, and, again with a slight chuckle, said, "Maybe it will come on Monday." One week after our first conversation, the card still has not arrived. Today, I had to go to the bank to get a new card issued and complete the hours-long task of changing all my services that used the card to the new billing information. I have no proof that he did not send it, but I suspect he did not, based on his reluctance in the first conversation and the slight chuckles in the second. This is a bad way to do business, and although I really enjoyed this restaurant on numerous previous occasions, I won't go back. The low-level customer service during dining, the difficulty in getting through to a living person, the whole reaction to my having left the card, and the fact that it never did arrive. I'm done. You may have saved yourself a postage stamp, but you've lost two customers based on this event.

Yelp
Never disappoints! The food is so good! Always fresh and feels so light. They accidentally brought me someone else's drink (which I loved!) and they comp'd. Definitely will order that one next time. Took my mother in law for the first time and she loved it. What a jewel this place is.

Yelp
Unique food experience that you probably won't have many opportunities to try elsewhere. Popular spot to eat, upbeat & attentive staff, full bar, and you cannot go wrong with the dishes your order. Got the tea salad, coconut rice, sesame beef, and jalapeño mint chicken. The only dilemma is is next time I go I'd want to order the whole menu

Yelp
I came here just before closing to meet a friend who flew into town from Dallas. She's also a food reviewer, and this was her recommendation--and it definitely didn't disappoint. I loved that they still served us and let us sit and chat for about an hour after they closed. We tried the garlic noodles, salt and pepper shrimp, and a mint meat dish (I can't quite remember the name). We paired everything with Thai tea, and it was all amazing! I would highly recommend this spot. We sat on the patio since the weather in Walnut Creek was perfect that day. The customer service was great, and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food we got. We also had the mint meat dish with white rice, and it was spot on. If you haven't tried Bruma yet, I definitely suggest you check it out!

Yelp
Our server was attentive and service was quick! We ordered * Tea leaf salad - my faveee! Perfect mix of green ingredients * Garlic noodles - this was good but not my fave * Palata with coconut chicken curry - wished it was more flakey + the curry was good * Coconut Rice - delish! * Lemongrass Chicken - good flavor * String Beans - these were good but spicy! I think this is the sister restaurant of Burma Burma in Dublin because the logo and food was pretty much the same.

Yelp
We got the lunch combo, which was enough food to fill me up. I like how you get a variety (soup, salad, protein/vegetable, and rice). The coconut rice is sooo yummy. I would like to come back to try the other dishes. Service was good! Overall, this is a good casual spot for a meal.

Yelp
Gayle and I enjoyed a very nice meal with our theater friends a few hours after enjoying Mary Zimmerman's Matchbox Silver Flute at Berkeley Rep. We parked at the Library and took an easy walk over to a rather bustling and reservations-friendly establishment. Traffic seemed to bunch up at the door, but one our reservation was confirmed, restaurant staff were very attentive in getting us to our table and getting the drink order down relatively quickly. It was smooth sailing service-wise from there. We dined "family style" as we ordered an appetizer (Palata with Chicken Curry) and 3 entrees (Burmese Pad Thai with Chicken, Burmese Fried Chicken, and Burma String Beans and spread the dishes around our table. Everything was excellent, especially the String Beans. 2 of us ordered beer to go along with all this, while Gayle was happy with her signature Bombay Sapphire Martini. The spice factor was mild, but with welcome glasses of water at the ready. This is a casual dining establishment, including a fairly large single indoor dining room, and an outdoor patio. It was a busy place when were were there, with a number of group tables contrasting against couples and tables of 4. Gayle even recognized a few people, even though they apparently didn't recognize here. In the end, it was a bit easier to slip the door to the patio, instead of navigating the front door area. We split the bill 2 ways, of which we all agreed that the total cost was rather reasonable. And with reasonably large portions, we also though that our experience as an excellent value for the money.

Yelp
Updated review after speaking to the manager 07/30/25 around 5 pm: Today I spoke with Justin, after my initial review. He did say "sorry it happened," which I appreciate, but the call didn't feel aimed at fixing the problem. It felt more like explaining why nothing more would be done. For anyone reading: it was the manager who spilled the curry soup on my almost $400 Slvrlake jeans, offered me a Tide pen, and brought me the full bill. No discount, no offer for cleaning -- just the Tide pen as single gesture of kindness and care. On our call, Justin explained the restaurant's position: * Tables and chairs may sometimes be dirty, and guests wearing expensive clothing should manage expectations accordingly. * As a "small company," they can't afford to replace expensive clothing unless "a lot" is spilled. Exactly how "a lot" is measured wasn't clarified -- is there an official curry-to-denim percentage chart? A surface area threshold? Or is it decided table by table? Justin said the Tide pen was a sufficient gesture to address the stains on my jeans. It wasn't -- and it doesn't change the fact that nearly $400 jeans are now unwearable. I had assumed a clean table and chair was part of the baseline service in a restaurant -- perhaps that expectation was unreasonable on my part. I'll leave that policy, and how they'd like to address this, to management. Reply to the manager 07/30/25 approximately 4:30 pm: Thank you, Justin, for your response. For anyone reading: it was the manager who spilled the soup, the manager who offered me a Tide pen, and the manager who brought me the full bill. No discount, no offer for cleaning -- just the Tide pen as the sole gesture. Accidents happen, but on $400 light denim, a curry spill turns "light wash" into "retired from wear." I appreciate the invitation to call and will reach out directly to the restaurant.

Yelp
Burma 2 is always delicious and very consistent with the quality of its food. I've come here a few times, and every time, it never disappoints. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly. I would say though that the dishes are big and this kind of restaurant is better if you eat family style. All the dishes are perfect to share! Last time we were here, we ordered several dishes: - Eggplant and Garlic 5/5: I love eggplant, and they make one of the best eggplants I've had! I can eat this with rice alone. Every bite is perfection. If you like eggplant this is a must! They also have eggplant and tofu but just the eggplant itself is delicious! - Lemon Grass Chicken 4/5: This is also a favorite of our family. The chicken has good flavor, and the lemongrass is not too overpowering. - Pumpkin Curry 2/5: this is a no for me. The pumpkin wasn't cooked all the way and the chicken was overcooked. I wouldn't get this again. - Tea Leaf Salad 5/5: This dish is very refreshing, has lots of flavor, and is overall a delicious dish. It's a must-try, too. - Salt and Pepper Calamari 5/5: I was surprised at how good the calamari was. It was perfectly coated and cooked, not oily, and very flavorful. This is definitely another great dish. - Palata 5/5: I love Palata, and the one here is perfect. I like to order it with the coconut chicken curry. The dish is pretty small though but the coconut curry's flavor is exquisite. - Pad Thai 3/5: this was a "not again" dish for me as well. It was too sweet. - Kebat Chicke 4/5: Our waiter recommended this dish, and it was surprisingly amazing. The spices mixed with the vegetables and meat were perfection. Overall, I love this restaurant and 100% recommend it. I've tried other Burmese restaurants in the area, and Burma 2 is my favorite around this area.

Yelp
PARKING, SERVICE, VIBES We arrived when they opened at 5 and were the first ones there. They were super accommodating with my service dog and extremely eager to answer questions and get food out to us fast. All of the waitstaff was very very friendly, kind, and pleasant. They were extremely attentive as well-- refilling our water glasses, checking to make sure the food was good, etc. At one point I had a question so I began looking around to see if a server was nearby, and one immediately saw me looking and came to our table. The service was very welcoming. There are a lot of seats both indoors and outdoors. Inside there are benches lining the walls and backed chairs on non walls. Parking was difficult but not impossible. It's paid, 3hr maximum, all parallel parking. I paid $3 for 1.5 hours. The meters do not take touchless pay. FOOD We got the Burmese pad Thai, coconut rice, tea leaf salad, and mango chicken. The tea leaf salad was good-- very peanutty. The coconut rice was coconutty-- a little soft (a little overdone) but still good. The pad Thai and mango chicken were both good but VERY sweet. There was sugar in everything except the salad. Lots of mango in the mango chicken, ample tofu and shrimp in the pad Thai, but just a lot of sugar. I want to note that gluten free items are marked on the menu. If you read my reviews you know I am celiac (cannot have gluten). Promptly after finishing the meal I started experiencing bloating and pain. Not sure if I was glutened or if it was a result of the high sugar intake or another intolerance-- I have a "delicate" stomach, lol. So I won't say I was glutened but I will say that something didn't agree with me. Would come back, but maybe would order different things that don't have as much sugar. The people here were so friendly that I enjoyed being there.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this location since I heard it was affiliated with Dublin. Came here before shopping around Broadway Plaza. We got a sea inside as it was 90 degrees out. We were promptly given water and menus but already knew what we wanted to order. They practically have the same menu as Dublin. I had my heart set on the garlic noods (no protein) and Mango Chicken. DD wanted a young coconut and the palata w/ coconut chicken and Hubs was venturing to a new dish. Salmon. The coconut drink was quite refreshing on a hot day. Palata came out piping hot and I couldn't wait to dip it into the curry fast enough to eat. The noods were so flavorful though a bit overcooked. The salmon was surprisingly tasty and not fishy at all. It was moist and had a gingery taste. I am always skeptical with fish whenever we order it at places that don't specialize in it. The dish I was most looking forward to was the Mango Chicken. It took awhile to come out as it came last. We ordered a side of coconut rice, which was tasty. Unfortunately the main dish wasn't. It lacked any flavor and needed some upmh and acidity. There wasn't any of the pungent sweet and sour flavors that I am used to with this dish. Just bland and tasteless. I noticed the table across the way from us also ordered the same and was hardly touched. I didn't bother taking leftovers home. To boot, the restrooms needed some serious maintenance. Our experience at this location was different from their Dublin location. We'd much prefer stick to there.

Yelp
My friend and I were not very impressed with their food. We ordered tea leaf salad, deep fried tofu, Burmese style curry and Salmon Lemongrass Fusion. Our favorite was the tea leaf salad. The rest were okay. Deep fried tofu was plain and there's a sauce you can dip it in for the flavor. Burmese style curry was tomato based and nothing special, it was okay. Salmon Lemongrass Fusion wasn't so bad. The sauce is good but the salmon had no taste at all (if not for the sauce). The servers were attentive and they have 2 restrooms which was nice.

Yelp
Fantastic menu, truly great service and they provided one of the best meals I have had in quite some time. Flavors are spot on and spices well balanced and do not overpower the meal...yet the cooks will prepare to your requested needs. I can't recommend this higher. Give it a try!

Yelp
Great experience! Went here cause we saw it was dog friendly on yelp as we were having an outing with our pupper. We got a plain palata, nan gyi dok, and Burmese ice tea. Loved the nan gyi dok! The noodles were so light and had a texture I wasn't really expecting, it kind of melts in your mouth. Love the flavors as it tasted similar to a filipino dish my mom makes but I can't seem to put a name to it. Definitely coming back! Service was also helpful in helping my fiancée find a dish she is not allergic to.

Yelp
Burma 2 is quite good! We've gone a couple times had a variety of things from each part of their menu and I haven't been disappointed with any of them. We've had more than this, but off the top of my head I can remember having the mango salad, sesame tofu, lettuce wraps, walnut shrimp and broccoli with beef and they were all very tasty. Bonus is that many of their dishes are gluten-free which means I can try tons of things there. This will be one of our new go-tos in the east bay for sure.
