"This Burmese restaurant is a favorite in the Tri-Valley area, serving popular dishes such tea leaf and rainbow salads, and pumpkin shrimp curry. Those who live a gluten-free lifestyle will be relieved to know that many of the dishes are sans gluten and clearly labeled on the menu." - Dianne de Guzman

Burma Burma in Dublin, California, is a true gem for both vegetarians and lovers of authentic Burmese cuisine. In the heart of Dublin, this restaurant offers a delightful fusion of traditional Burmese flavors with a modern twist. The restaurant has a extensive vegetarian section which is a breath of fresh air for us, as we seek meatless options without compromising on taste or variety. They have classic dishes like the Tea Leaf Salad to the innovative Pumpkin & Basil Soup, each dish bursts with vibrant colors and bold flavors that tantalize the taste buds. The ambiance of Burma Burma is another highlight, with its warm and inviting decor that transports diners to the bustling streets of Myanmar. The attentive staff adds to the overall experience and providing friendly service.

Went in here after it came highly recommended from friends around there. It's located in a joint which has lots of parking which is a huge plus. Menu is extensive, offering vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and non vegetarian options. They also had Sake on the drink menu. We ordered the salt and pepper tofu, which is very bland along with a sweet dipping sauce and lettuce wraps for appetizers. The filling was again coated with a sweet sauce. For the main course, we ordered the tea leaf salad and the pad thai noodles. It was my first time trying tea leaf salad, and it was good. The pad thai was sweet again even though we mentioned spicy. Everything is geared towards the sweeter side, which ideally may not be the authentic flavors of Burma from what i know. And for dessert, had the black sticky rice with mango ice cream. The waitress was good , asking us if we needed any questions answered regarding the menu and offered suggestions accordingly. I would definitely say it's an okay place. Given the fact that everything was made sweeter. Unfortunately, It didn't live up to our expectations.

Google
Amazing all around! We ordered: tea leaf salad (a must!), the fish chowder, kebat sauce lamb, pine fried rice, and a chicken dish that was recommended. Service was great, food was very delicious, and the atmosphere was lively.

Google
Giving 3 stars as they screwed up tea leaf salad . It looked like more of a cabbage salad . When we checked with the server they said they give half & half which is so idiotic , without checking with the guests . Pepper chicken was good service is quick. Fried coconut pudding was excellent , not to sweet tasted good with mango ice cream

Overall, a great experience! Perfect portions and quick service. We got our food in 5 minutes! So fast!! Side note: this place is really popular for big groups and birthday celebrations! I enjoyed the Chicken and Shrimp Biryani a lot! If I'm being picky, this dish was pretty salty and needed more rice. However, the shrimp was cooked really well and the chicken was tender. I like that they include an entire chicken leg! Easy to share with another person. Nan Gyi Dok is my favorite Burmese dish, and this place makes it pretty well! Not a pretty looking menu item, but it sure is tasty. They make it very creamy and eggy, which is nice texturally. They give lots of noodles and big chunks of chicken too. I recommend :)

Wow. I was glad I made reservations for 4 on a Thursday lunch for my brother's birthday. They saved us the last table available. There was a company lunch just getting seated. It was great to put an order in before the large group started ordering as well. We ordered palata with chicken curry, salt and pepper calamari, Burmese-style chicken curry, village catfish with sauce on the side, and 3 orders of brown rice. A favorite was the palata, crispy and buttery, the sauce was tasty, great with rice. The calamari was nice and crisp and so was the catfish. Having the sauce separate allowed us to add our own amount and the fish did not get soggy too quickly. The Burmese-style curry was fine as well, it had a tomato base to it. All curries we requested was medium spice. Service was nice and efficient. We were able to request addiltional rice as needed and someone brought us more water.

Google
I always get the samosa soup and tea leaf salad as they are my favorites here. Both seemed to have just a bit changed. The service is good, restaurant is not huge and is popular so reservations are recommended. If you are 5 in your group, ask for the corner booth location, if available. It is the best spot in the restaurant.

We decided to have a family dinner at Burma Burma and loved the food. The menu is extensive and a lot of good choices. We ordered Palata and S&P swai, tea leaf salad and samosa salad for in between and chicken kebat, shrimp fried rice, Burmese garlic noodle, home style fried rice The samosa chaat and palata both were my favorite. What I have an issue with is the speed at which the food comes out. In an hour, the food just came flying. You possibly can’t eat that fast. There was absolutely no spacing between appetizers, in between and entree. That alone makes it feel like casual cafe dining instead of sit down dinner. The noodles and rice dishes can use a lil more flavor but it was still really delicious. The portions are pretty good…… so order accordingly. Overall a great place for quick dining and I would recommend it to people that are looking for Burmese cuisine.

Yelp
A little late to review, but better late than never! The first time I tried this spot out was because my mom's bestie never had Burmese food before & I was so glad this place delivered! I think it actually beat my expectations. I'd say the restaurant itself can accommodate a good amount of people, I know we came in at a busy time & didn't really have to wait to be seated. It's simply decorated on the inside, the bathroom could be better but eh... you can't go wrong with fast service and good food with hella flavor! I actually came back two more times and the most recent time was with my sister & her fam. I'd say my least favorite thing I had was the samosas... We also tried/enjoyed: - salt & pepper swai, it was so good we had to order more - palata w chicken curry - chicken lettuce wraps-- I wasn't expecting much but it was hittin - sesame chicken & sesame beef-- can't go wrong w either one - Burmese garlic noodle -- love a thick egg noodle - coconut rice Can't wait to come back & try more!

Yelp
Burmese food. If all the chefs from across the continent put their heads together......... Everyone here is correct about the service being surprisingly quick. The food hit the table within 10 minutes, and I defy you find an empty water glass anywhere in the restaurant. The waitstaff was on top of their game during a busy lunchtime. Attentive without interrupting you. My lunch date and I shared mohinga, mango chicken and veggie samosas. The samosas were tasty, with a flaky crust. It's was nice to get 4 instead of two. The mohinga was hot and tasty, it could have used a little more catfish, but still delicious The mango chicken was good too and the sliced onion provided a savory contrast to the mango. Don't miss out on this great little restaurant off the beaten path.

Yelp
Food was not fresh; chicken was not properly cooked. Too much sugar; most of the dishes have sugar in it. Wouldn't recommend the place.

Yelp
WOW! A huge new fan of this place. Tucked in an unobtrusive shopping center in Dublin. This place was hoping on a Sunday afternoon in between services for dine in and take out. Busy for good reason and that's because the food is outstanding. We had Curry Chicken, a Garlic Drunken Noodle and a Pork Curry thyta was to die for. Started was a fantastic tea leaf salad. The sauces were extraordinary. Portions were well sized and the service was fantastic. We will be back!!

Yelp
Decent food. Nice service. Lots of choice in the food items you can order. Liked rhe indoor and outdoor seating. It is good place to meet in a large group. Reasonable price for this class of a restaurant. Not too many appetizers to choose from. Whatever is available is pretty standard fare. Food was not out of the world but served the purpose. Portion sizes were decent. Overall good place for socializing with coworkers or orherwise.

Yelp
Went to this place last week for dinner. The location is packed and was busy. the service was fast and prompt. The food was fresh and flavorful. Got both veg and non-veg options. The interior was clean. Ample parking. Bottom line will visit this place again!!!

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place, I've tried Burma food and I really enjoyed it. The service was so quick but the servers definitely did not seem like they were in a good mood. We had ordered the Burmese Garlic Noodles with Pork, Tea Leaf Salad and Black Pepper Beef. The Burmese Garlic Noodles were overcooked and didn't have much flavor. The Tea Leaf Salad was the best thing we ordered - love the texture and definitely a signature dish. The Black Pepper Beef was SO TENDER and so flavorful but pretty salty. For dessert we ordered the deep fried coconut pudding with mango ice cream. I really enjoyed it and never had anything like it.

Yelp
4.5 stars, rounding down. They close at 2:30, last call for seating is 2pm. We made it just in time (yay)! The ambiance is pretty nice in here, and on par with other Burmese restaurants I've been to. Service is nice and friendly. Our waitress even offered to bring us chili paste without us asking for it (we told her we love spicy & asked for "spicy" on all the dishes with that option). We got the pepper and salt swai (fish) as appetizer. The fish tasted fresh, and had the perfect crispiness to it. The minted jalapeno chicken was a bit too salty, but that's no biggie if you mix it in with rice. The shrimp fried rice was great. I do highly recommend it if you're choosing between the fried rice. The Burmese style pork curry was not bad, but the pork was still a bit tough to chew (vs being tender). The portion size was generous and the pricing is reasonable. I had enough leftover for 3 more small meals.

Yelp
Have you tried Burmese food?! Coming from Arizona I have not yet tried so this was an excellent opportunity. Think of it like a mix of Chinese, Thai and Indian cuisine. First off for a table of 10 our food service was super fast. In fact the fastest I've ever had!! If you're hungry this and need food fast this is it. But of course if you need to have reservations. You'll have to call the restaurant if you have more than 4 in your party. We started off with: Tea leaf salad - which has peanuts, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, Burmese tea leaves, lemon, jalepenos, dried shrimp powder, fish sauce, sunflower seeds, fried garlic. This was a fresh salad and a popular dish. Gluten free. $15 Samosa soup - had pieces of samosa and falafel, potatoes, chickpeas, red onions, paprika, cabbage, bay leaf, tamarind, Marsala, tumeric, dried chili. $13 Burmese Pad Thai- this to me tastes like a regular thai pad Thai! Has the rice noodles, red bell peppers, cabbage, onion, egg, peanuts, tamarind, sprouts, paprika, fish sauce, tofu and we added shrimp for the protein. $17 Black pepper shrimp- this has red and green bell peppers, onions, carrots, ginger, garlic, scallions, black bean sauce, black and white pepper, soy sauce and white wine. I was trying to see if this came close to the black pepper crab that I had in Singapore but it wasn't. Still food though. $21 Basil and dried chili swai - this is a white fish seasoned with Thai chilies, dried chili flakes, jalapeños, onions, black pepper, basil and tamarind powder. Very good. $19 Broccoli and garlic- garlic and salted $15

Yelp
I feel conflicted having such an inverse experience than most people. The service was very fast and friendly. They were so open to share the top dishes on the menu. The food came out super fast and our waters never went empty. The food though... was not great. It must be a very specific palate because there were THREE very large birthdays here, so obviously people love this place. If you're eating here, you must order the palata. It's like an Indian paratha and is so perfectly chewy/flakey. The gravy though tastes like pot roast. No spices or aromatics added. The pepper lamb/beef is tasty too, not spicy at all. You're supposed to order the fermented green tea leaf salad, but there were so many bad reviews that we ordered the samosa salad. It comes with a singular samosa chopped up over very old and wilted lettuce. I was excited for the tamarind, but never really tasted it. We asked for the jalapeño minted chicken to be extra spicy, but there was literally no spice. Not only that... but there were no jalapeños? The texture was very interesting though. The signature dish is the Nan Gyi Dok which has a wonderfully chewy texture and similar to a creamy udon. However, the boiled eggs were so overcooked that all you could taste and smell was a mouthful of sulphur. This was my first foray into Burmese food, so I could be expecting the wrong things. I was hoping for spicy and aromatic, but that might not be what this culture is about, so take my review with a grain of salt. To me, this tasted more like American southern food than southeast Asian.

Yelp
Made reservations for a Friday night at 6:30pm and I'm glad I did as there was a 20 minute wait when we arrived. They are located in a shopping center so there is ample parking available. Overall I do give Burma Burma a 3.5, but I feel there were some dishes that weren't as great. Palata Coconut Chicken Curry - 5/5 - I highly recommend this appetizer as the bread is really flaky and the coconut chicken curry has such great flavor. Sesame Chicken -5/5 - the sesame chicken was also really full of flavor and was on the top of my list. Basil & Dried Chili Beef - 4/5 - the beef was also really good and had a lot of flavors with the onion it came with as well. Mango Chicken - 3/5 - it had the potential of being good, but it arrived cold which was very unfortunate. Burmese Garlic Noodles - 2.5/5 - I felt the noodles were missing flavor, I added the sauce that it came with and it helped a bit, but it was still lacking flavor. Overall, I might return, but there are other Burmese restaurants in the Bay Area that I feel are better.

Selena S.

Yelp
tried burmese food for the first time!! thought it was overall pretty good, however my coconut soup was lukewarm. had it been hot, i would've given it a 5/5. I also got the Basil & Dried Chili Lamb in the level Spicy. This was also a great dish, but i wasn't a big fan of the grainy texture. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes, but I would definitely try this place again. The server was also very helpful in giving us a tour of the menu. (:

Neeta D.

Yelp
The tea salad with a lot of lentils and dried legumes in them is certainly an acquired taste. Tea lovers might love it while others might not. Our waitress was very respectful. It's been some time when I've felt like happily tipping more for the humble services offered. Their Burmese chicken curry is tasty with boneless chicken pieces, the garlic noodles taste and quantity is pretty good, and it goes well will the mild sauce. Their hot sauce is Very hot. So do taste first before serving a whole spoon of it into your dish!! I forgot the shrimp dish name but the quantity of shrimp was good too, and of course the flavor in them.

Arizza L.

Yelp
Food: ALL good!! Standouts were the Burmese pad Thai, and sesame beef. The reviews definitely didn't disappoint. Service: Had a large party of over 15 people for my graduation. The server was very kind and patient with my family. We were running late since we were coming from my graduation but they still held the table for us. We all left happy campers! Ambiance: clean and large restaurant.

Sandy L.

Yelp
Everything was wonderful! Seated right away on a Friday 7pm even though the restaurant was very busy. There's lots of seating and also outdoor seating for the warmer months. Someone came by to refill cucumber waters. The menu is a good size. Lots of options without being overwhelming. Excellent service! Everything was so fast without compromising quality. We ordered salt and pepper shrimp, tea leaf salad, lamb curry, coconut rice, the catfish soup, and the coconut noodles. Everything came out within 5-10 minutes. But it tasted freshly prepared. Wow! Tea leaf salad was refreshing. Very tasty. The shrimp was actually one of the favorite dishes. It was deep fried without being oily. Good flavor/seasoning without overwhelming salt. They bought out individual little bowls since we were sharing family style. Everything was delicious! We also really enjoyed the lamb curry with coconut rice. Total for all that food which three people could just barely finish was around $90. Very happy we chose to try Burma Burma!

Rodney S.

Yelp
Just ok to be truthful. Fast service. Ambiance needs help. You don't won't to hang around after eating, very dry and unpleasant.

Rosie M.

Yelp
I like Burmese food. That being said, I have frequented multiple Burmese restaurants in the Bay Area. The only reason why I've gone to this restaurant multiple times because my best friends love it and if I would like to break bread with them, it means we have to visit this restaurant once in a while. Today, we ordered, the tea leaf salad, palata plate, Burma Burma noodle, eggplant, and sesame chicken. We ordered it down myself out all of us can share the same meal. The food is always OK. The wine is always OK. The parking is free so you don't have to walk too far to get to your car. The customer service is lacking especially since the maître d' made a comment about my friends and I bringing our children to the restaurant and I have no idea why we didn't speak up more. I think it's because we are all pretty nice but that just was not right for her to say something about the kids who were not yelling or crying or misbehaving in any way.

Tiffany M.

Yelp
Holiday Lunch with my team!!! Excellent food Excellent service Clean bustling establishment FOOD: The flavors are amazing!!! Distinct and delicious. We ordered: Salt and Pepper Calamari Tea Leaf Salad Garlic Eggplant with shrimp Coconut Rice Burmese Pad Thai with shrimp Red curry Salmon Very filling and a great value!!! Table of five, full with the remnants of the meal being taken by one person lol! $111 Compared to the party of 4 at Burma Superstar $192 from Saturday. Hummmmm Anyway, a must redo!

Harsimran K.

Yelp
A nice place for a family outing. They served food with some amazing flavors and even Kids love this place. We ordered a lot of dishes as we went in a group of 10-12 people and everything was equally good. There wasn't a single dish left on the table.

Doreen L.

Yelp
This is the second time I'm eating at this restaurant. The first time was for lunch. It was on a week day and wasn't very busy. This time, I'm here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was busy, but we were seated in a booth a little after we walked in. There are the normal table and chairs setup, too. However, both times we were given a booth. I had the tea leaf salad the first time and couldn't wait to reorder it for dinner. As expected, it remains my top dish at the restaurant. It is a crunchy salad as it has nuts in the salad. The salad dressing has a unique flavor and is delicious. I really like their palata which is a flaky layered flat bread. It is thicker and chewy, not like the paper-thin ones served at many other restaurants. We choose the coconut chicken curry (very tender) which comes with the bread. The other choices were vegetarian or lamb curry. I wasn't impressed with their pineapple fried rice. The pineapples were set aside from the fried rice, and the rice was so so. Their nan gyi dok noodle dish didn't look appetizing and didn't taste that great. Our Burmese style chicken curry was tender and delicious. Surprisingly, it didn't taste the same as the coconut chicken curry which came with our palata. Our last dish was a beef tofu dish. I liked the dish except for the tofu. It had the texture of a Japanese fish cake which I don't like. Overall, the service was good. All of the food was served in a timely fashion. They refilled our water cups without our having to ask them to. Payment was done at the table and went smoothly. Both times (day time and night time) we came to this restaurant, we were able to find a parking space without any issues. I would definitely return to this restaurant, order my tea leaf salad and palata with coconut chicken curry, and then try some of their other dishes.

Prasiddha H.

Yelp
Came here last night with the parents and so glad I did! We had gone to the Livermore outlets for some fun Black Friday shopping and after we were hungry. My parents are a huge fan of this place and glad I was finally able to try it! Once here we were seated and ended up trying: * basmati and turmeric rice - this was yummy and flavorful * black pepper chicken - this was absolutely delicious and went well with coconut rice which we also ordered * catfish curry - this was delicious and the curry was really flavorful, my mom absolutely loved this *tea leaf salad - my brother loved this as well as the rest of the family. This was flavorful and had lots of crunchy nuts and other items which made each bite fun * chili lamb - this was delicious with onions and bell peppers and what I loved was that the lamb was tender and juicy. Every bite of this dish was heaven - I would absolutely reorder this again! Overall the food was yummy and we were happy with the food and service!

Annie T.

Yelp
I came here for a team holiday outing and luckily, we were seated before the lunch rush. All of the dishes were portions that can be easily shared as family style. Food Eggplant Garlic Noodles Tea Leaf Salad Pineapple Fried Rice (Gluten Free) Pad Thai (with chicken) Eggplant was nicely seasoned and not mushy. The Garlic Noodles were okay - I was expecting chow mein style noodles, but these were not it and would pass on order this. The Tea Leaf salad was so refreshing, had a nice crunch, and super light! The Pineapple Fried Rice was good and did not have the overwhelming pineapple chunks or taste to it. The Pad Thai with chicken was also another highlight - great texture, flavor profiles, and good amount of chicken. Service Despite the lunch rush, service was prompt and very friendly. My cup of water never went empty and the food came out rather quick for the amount of dishes ordered. Ambiance There's both indoor and outdoor seating options. It's very casual inside and nice to dine-in or do order takeout.

Sadaf S.

Yelp
Our go to Burmese spot! All their food is delicious and so consistent! I've never been disappointed here. Our favorites are the pepper chicken (ask for no alcohol if you're doing halal), mango chicken, SESAME BEEF (best thing here), and garlic noodles. Their food is so good and their ambiance is great too. Perfect for celebratory dinners, date nights, and catching up lunches. I've been here with large parties, small intimate lunches, and doordashed from here and food has been amazing every single time! It's become my favorite restaurant in the area and halal options are truly the cherry on top!

Leonor R.

Yelp
Burma Burma My search for more vegetarian friendly restaurants led us here. Our first impression of the place -the Burmese decor & art pieces are very welcoming. It seemed casual but the vibe is a little more upscale. It is evident that careful attention was given to the table ware - plates & utensils. It then reassured us that food would be good. We weren't disappointed! Flavors are well balanced & seemed made with fresh ingredients. Spice levels are adjustable. At the time of this review, we've been back twice! Both times service was excellent & attentive. The server was able to explain the unfamiliar items on the menu & make recommendations based on our preferences. And, yes- they have a lot of vegetarian options! Our now favorites Vegetarian: Tofu Lettuce Wrap, Pumpkin Tofu Curry, Burmese Tofu Garlic Noodles, Vegetarian Palata Non-vegetarian: Burmese Beef Curry, Pad Thai The fresh coconut juice & Burmese tea are very refreshing. On our 2nd visit we tried the Shwe Gyi with ice cream. Perfect end to the meal!

Dan C.

Yelp
A regular favorite in the Dublin/Pleasanton area good reason! Great for anything from a business lunch to a family dinner out. Lots of terrific options across the menu that span authentic flavors and traditions of Burmese cuisine -- from the Tea Leaf Salad to Garlic Noodles and Dry Curries. Everything is noticeably fresh and really delicious. Within an outdoor strip-mall style shopping complex, the dining room is clean, bright, and very casual. Servers are consistent and very attentive.

Disha K.

Yelp
Food: delicious, plenty of vegetarian items to choose from! Service: Outstanding, we went in this afternoon and Helen was our server. She was helpful in choosing the food items, provided us with details response for the questions we had and checked on us many times. Ask for Helen when you go in, you won't be disappointed! Not my first time here but every single visit has been great. I love the food, the service, and the ambiance! As many of you already know, service is huge - which is break or make deal usually. Great restaurant and we drove 1.5 hours just to have their food! Delicious!

Tammy L.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food here. Dishes were flavorful with fresh ingredients. Prices were reasonable, restaurant clean and service friendly. We arrived early and beat the crowds and food came out quickly. I would definitely come back here.

Carmen L.

Yelp
Came here with my friend on a Wednesday's night and we got seared immediately without reservation. We ordered the tea leaf salad, samosa soup and Burmese eggplant curry. Love it all! We had medium spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. Service was good... will be back again.

Laya A.

Yelp
Ordered takeout - was very impressed with their packing. Everything tasted great! Service was perfect, they had already packed everything we needed. Inside dining was packed when we came to pick up our takeout.

Elouise J.

Yelp
We've been frequenting Burma Burma once a month for a while now, overall their quality is consistent and the food is tasty. Our go to dishes are the tea leaf salad, rainbow salad, palata with chicken curry, mint jalapeño chicken, and chili beef. Its usually easy to get a table for dinner as a walk in, though it gets pretty loud even for a small restaurant. Parking is easy as it's located in a medium shopping center.

Tu-Quyen P.

Yelp
Decent Burmese spot with excellent service, food came out quick and portions were perfectly sized. I loved the palata bread!!! It was so yummy with the coconut chicken curry. The black pepper beef was flavorful and hit the spot. The tea salad was my least favorite version I've had because it's pretty basic, but it tasted fine.

Vikram C.

Yelp
Food was mostly good. Manager was an idiot. We returned one dish because we didn't like it and it was 90% full and they took it back and still charged us full price for the dish. I've spent so much money at this spot and won't ever come back. They just lost my entire family as customers. I felt bad for the server because even she thought the manager was wrong...

Anjelica C.

Yelp
Been coming here for years and the food has always been great but I've gotta take a star off for the value. They used to offer a weekday lunch menu which helped to make this a more affordable lunch option but they did away with that (post covid?) and now coming here for lunch is at least $25 if you want an entree plus a cup of rice. Still a great dinner option or for family style dining in general. Some go to's are the tea leaf salad (although they no longer prepare it tableside sadly), coconut chicken curry palata, garlic eggplant, and the pumpkin or dry curry chicken dishes.

Catherine M.

Yelp
We came for dinner around 7pm on a Thursday night. Ambiance is nice, it was kinda busy. Service was fast and got our food less than 10 minutes after ordering. We ordered the tea leaf salad, honey walnut prawns, stir fry sweet corn, pine but fried rice, beef kebat. All delicious. Would definitely come back!

Lynn W.

Yelp
Food was better than my last visit and I would give them a solid 4 stars. Hygiene cause the experience to drop 1 star. I took 2 photos of where the spider web was and that's not the experience to have over your shoulder at a dining table. It was a crowded place on a weeknight.

The Bottomless Pi T.

Yelp
Came to Burma Burma with family. Here's what we ordered: 1. (Vegetarian) Samosas: you get 4 to an order. They were served hot right out of the fryer. The pastry coating on the outside was thin and crispy. Excellent with the sauce. Loved it. 2. Salt and Pepper Calamari: we got a big plate. The sauce seemed similar to the samosa sauce, but I preferred mine without sauce. A little lemon would have been nice. One of my two favorite items in this meal. 3. Lamb Kebat: the lamb was mix and match. Although the meat was boneless, some chunks were better than others. But the best pieces were very tender and flavorful. Be careful though, it does have spicy kick to it. 4. Burmese Garlic Noodle: the only disappointing dish. I've had this at several other restaurants, but for some reason this dish was pretty bland and flavorless. Definitely would come back, but wouldn't order the garlic noodles again.

Mikolo R.

Yelp
Food was delicious, as was their Burmese iced tea. Highly recommend the lettuce wraps appetizer, and the coconut rice!

Yelp
Hands down best Bermease food in the area! Usually very busy in this store so we decided to online order for pick up. The food was ready on time in 10 to 15 mins! Nan Gyi Dok Can't believe I didn't take a photo. I was so hungry. This is absolutely delicious if you like coconut creamy, savory, slightly sweet, chewy noodles with lemongrass. We had this when my parents were here and we actually ordered one more plate since it was sooooo good. The Udon noodles are very chewy and probably rice based rather than wheat based. It perfectly absorbed all the curry flavors. Burmese Fried chicken This was great, too! Chicken was very crispy, and the mini salad it came on top of the chickens was very refreshing. I'd say it's heavily fish sauce based with Thai/Korean chicken flavors. The dishes are very flavorful, so make it easy to overeat.. lol

Yelp
We dropped by Burma Burma on a weekday as we were in the area and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. We have had Burmese food in the South Bay before and this tasted much better. We ordered Burmese style lamb curry and noodles. We agreed the waiter to make our food spicy and she very sweetly agreed. She spoke to the chef and made it happen. I was surprised at the crowd especially on a Monday but it makes sense given the quality of food and service. We will be back and highly recommend for anyone who is visiting Dublin.

Yelp
First time at Burma Burma and the food was amazing! Ordered the tea leaf salad, mint jalapeño chicken, and Burma garlic noodles. Service was fast, I was hoping to sit outdoors but they don't do outdoor on the Sunday's as the hostess said? Everything was flavorful and I would come again

Yelp
I was in the area for an appointment and looking for a place for lunch. Boy, did I pick the right place! I was quickly seated at my preference of an outside table. The outdoor patio is a nice, shady spot. I ordered the Mango Chicken, Coconut Rice and Burmese Iced Tea. Everything was fantastic. The Burmese Iced Tea was so tasty. It had a sprig of mint and was less heavy and sweet than a Thai Iced Tea. The Mango Chicken was a perfect mix of sweet and sour. I got it medium spicy but I could have dealt with it being spicer (and I don't consider myself super tolerant of really spicy). My only critique is that I wish there had been less onion slices and more mango slices; the onions were very lightly cooked and the flavor was a little overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
It's rare to come across a Burmese restaurant and Burma Burma sure doesn't disappoint. It's a great little family style restaurant that is usually well packed during peak hours. We of course orders the traditional tea leaf salad, which was amazing, and few other dishes - deep fried calamari, friend rice and samosa soup! Samosa soup is a very interesting and tasty dish. We enjoy this place and will try more dishes. Tips: Great for sharing Parking lot attached to the restaurant Could be packed especially at peak hours

Yelp
06.30.2023 - Lunch with seastar and bestie gf. With my bestie's recommendation, I whisked her away from work with my seastar to this delish Burmese spot in Dublin. Nestled in a shopping plaza on the main road, it has ample amount of free parking. But be warned! This place is bustling so parking will be packed on this side of the plaza. We were sat right away at 12:45pm on a Friday and service was already attentive. It was warm and sunny so we decided to pick indoor seating with a/c. Outdoor dining would be fun during spring and fall. This was my first time at BB, whilst my seastar and bestie been here before. They vouched for the tea leaf salad and I was blown away! Something that looked very simple had a punch of flavor. Other tea leaf salads I've seen had more ingredients that needed mixing together, but this already tossed, simple salad didn't need much to enjoy. The seasoning and ingredients were spot on. Definitely is one of my favorite salads now. Must get! The Burmese iced tea was sweet, creamy with a strong tea flavor. Reading the reviews, many said it tastes like Thai iced tea, but I beg to differ. It tasted like Indian chai tea. Coconut chicken Palata had good flavor and portion was very generous for an appetizer. I would have preferred the Palata more one the thin and crispy side as this was more thick and on the chewy side. Overall, good share item. Pumpkin chicken coconut was really good. Loved the variety of veggies and the chunks of pumpkin in the curry. Black pepper beef - felt like Burmese take on Mongolian beef. The beef slices were tender and juicy. We asked for us to be extra spicy. But it was mild to our taste. Eggplant and garlic - Requested extra extra spicy, but seems like it was still very mild. Still, I loved the flavor. Savory with a hint of sweetness. I appreciated how it wasn't drenched in sauce or oil. The basil added freshness to it, balancing the deep flavors of the sauce. Coconut rice seems to be a favorite among not just my group of peeps, but from the reviews and others who dined around us. Personally, it wasn't my favorite. The sweet coconut flavored rice threw me off. Still, glad I gave it chance. Next time, I'll just order the jasmine rice. The least favorite from our order was the salt and pepper calamari. The breading felt and tasted doughy. Almost too fluffy for something that should have been more crispy. All the portions were huge. Had a lot left over that we took home. Everything was still delicious after warming it up in the microwave. Service was very friendly and the entire experience was left memorable. The ambience, the food, the service staff, the company - definitely got me planning my second visit very soon!

Yelp
Burma Burma is one of the best restaurants in Dublin. Located in a strip mall, it's not the most ideal location but it sure is a crowd pleaser. You can tell from how busy it usually is. I have dined with groups a few times here. The last time I was here we were celebrating a birthday and had a bunch of kids in the group. Here's what we ordered: 1. Plata for appetizer. It's amazing how it disappears in seconds, everyone loves it. 2. Burmese garlic noodles 3. Burmese chicken curry 4. Eggplant tofu 5. Tofu and vegetable Kebat 6. The best menu item is the Tea Leaf Salad. I keep coming back for more. The service is super and this is a mainstay for us.

Yelp
My friends and I were on our way back home for a road trip. We needed to stop for dinner and were craving a meal with rice (we all grew up in Asian households). Luckily for us Burma Burma was on our way home and conveniently had reservations available via Yelp. Parking was easy, staff were quick, place was clean. Our experience was off to a great start. Tea leaf salad: light and flavorful. Love the crunch of the nuts. Great way to start the meal. Moh hin gha: my friend tells me this is the national dish of Burma and I can see why! The soup is so comforting. The restaurant did so well with the flavor: perfectly salty, slight acidic from the tamarind, and warm form the ginger. I loved the texture of the noodles. My favorite dish! Lamb curry: cooked the slightest bit too tough for me but not gamey at all. String beans: Perfect amount of spice/heat and crunch. Samosa: super fresh. Crispy on the outside and tender ingredients on the inside. Def would love to come back soon!

Yelp
Love love love this place!!! One of my favorite restaurants in all of east bay!! My grandparents love their lettuce wraps and mango salad as a starter. Everything was SO good. It was my son's 1st birthday and they had a sparking candle to celebrate. Made our evening very very special. Thank you so much! He was so happy!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Yelp
I have been coming to Burma Burma for years. I really like their food and when I have dine in their service has been great. Today I called in an order for a party. I had called earlier in the week to determine how long they would need to prepare my order, so it would ready on time. I placed the order 10 minutes prior to the time the manager suggested when I called. When I called, they told me it would take longer prepared than the manager had told me. When I arrived, it still wasn't ready. My advice is if you're placing a to go order don't rely on the timing they give you. As always their tea leaf salad is great. I recommend getting half Romain half cabbage. We have a mango, chicken, garlic, eggplant, and walnut shrimp. Everything was delicious.
