"This stall in the work-in-progress food court now known as Happy Market offers a handful of specialties from Myanmar every day, but always including the complicated fish soup mohinga and wonderful salads of fermented tea leaves and ginger sprouts. Lots of packaged snacks available too, to be eaten in the common dining area among the mostly Cantonese stalls." - Eater Staff

The chef knows flavor and the servers know hospitality. The amount served allowed two of us to share without going hungry. The workers here are exceptionally kind and make me feel welcome. Their food range accommodates many tastes. This spot delivers exceptional return on investment.

We sensed something special about this place immediately. The cooking stands out, the service impresses, and prices remain fair. All dishes demonstrate taste excellence. Employees provided warm service while answering inquiries with smiles. This restaurant won me over completely.

Delicious food! We ordered the mohinga and tea leaf salad. Everything else looked fantastic too - will definitely return to try more. They offer a lunch special that comes with a variety of Indian-style dishes as well as tea that transports you to the tea houses of Mandalay or Yangon. The owner is very warm and welcoming!

I am so glad to find a real authentic Burmese take out in a very convenient location, Elmhurst (previous HK supermarket). I hope this place will stay forever!

Tucked away in a quiet food court, this place is truly a hidden gem. I got the mohinga which was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. My order came out really quick and cashier was friendly. Smiling in NYC food service industry is on the rarer side. For $10 this was a great value, can't wait to come back and try more things on the menu! And of course, eat the mohinga again.

I don't recommend to visit this place because of this. It's really dirty place and bad smell. May be in future if they fix it, probably you can visit there.

I just seen a video on tik tok of this restaurant. There’s rats! Not mice, RATS! Going around in the restaurant and on top of the counters where the food is prep. Wow how is this business still opened?

Yelp
Small stall in the back of an half empty food hall. It took the place of another Burmese stall before it. The food here is halal and they also have Indian dishes such as biryani. They have some hot Indian foods displayed in trays but for the Burmese food you need to order from the menu. Unfortunately, the menu is in Burmese but search delivery apps for the English names. I had mohinga It was very flavorful and prices are reasonable. I wish it had more noodles though.

Yelp
The food is delicious. The service is helpful and with a smile. The only issue I have with them is prices. I hope that they change their business model to offer bigger portions to more customers. They'll keep on getting my business because I support any Myanmar enterprise, but many people will never try it or will not return because of the expense.
