DADE COUNTY BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Do not step foot in Burn by Rocky Patel unless you want to risk your life. If you value your safety, take your business—and your birthday—somewhere that actually protects its guests.
I went to celebrate my birthday at Burn by Rocky Patel in Naples on June 22, 2023—expecting cigars, friends, and good times. Instead, I was brutally tackled from behind by an overserved patron (identified later as Travis Spittler) and left unconscious for 15–30 seconds on the floor.
• No intervention, no responsibility. While I lay bleeding and dazed, nobody at the bar—bartenders, managers, or bouncers—stepped in or even called 911. Their negligence let a 240‑lb stranger nearly kill me in broad daylight.
• Severe injuries. I suffered a concussion, a dislocated jaw, ringing in my left ear, nerve damage in my spine, and a badly bruised finger (which made even filing the police report agony). I spent the next days in urgent care, ER X‑rays, and two MRIs.
• Finally, law enforcement did their job. I had to dial 911 myself before the staff would lift a finger. Police photographed my injuries, filed the report, and arrested Mr. Spittler—but only after I begged for help.
I’ve submitted my medical bills and detailed testimony to the State Attorney’s Office. As for this bar? Their total indifference to OVER SERVING VIOLET PATRONS, ignoring a bloody, unconscious customer, and refusing to call for help—shows they care more about profits than people
