I’ve been a loyal customer of this establishment for over 10 years. Every year, I place a catering order of over $2,000 for my church — the same order, without fail. I have always supported this business, and I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with former managers like Victor, Myra, Lourdes, and the mature lady with green eyes — all of whom treated every customer with professionalism, kindness, and dignity.
However, what I’ve witnessed recently has left me heartbroken, disappointed, and deeply concerned. On a recent visit, I was racially ignored and treated with a level of disrespect that I’ve never experienced here before. To make matters worse, the new manager, Teo, was openly using foul language and inappropriately touching a young blonde employee — behavior that was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Sadly, this wasn’t the first time I’ve witnessed this individual act inappropriately in public view.
Two weeks ago, I saw something even more disturbing: the same manager mistreating a dark-skinned young employee right in front of customers. As a nurse for over 18 years and the sister of a NYPD first responder, I couldn’t stay silent. I reached out to the young lady days later to offer support, because no one deserves to be treated like that — especially in their place of work.
Teo is not fit to lead. His behavior is damaging, discriminatory, and degrading to staff and patrons alike. It’s a disgrace to see the values of this business fall so far from what it once was. I’ve tried several times to contact the owner through the Burnet Ave location. A kind gentleman eventually gave me a number, but it doesn't go through, and I have not been provided with any alternative way to reach management.
I’m now left with no choice but to call every location until someone takes this seriously. As someone who has supported this business for over a decade and brought in thousands of dollars through repeat catering, I expect better. This situation must be addressed — not only for the sake of the customers but for the dignity and safety of the staff who deserve respect and a safe workplace
