Google
Delicious food. They give you plenty of meat and not fill the bowl with a lot of rice. We got the spicy chicken with veggies, brown rice, and original sauce bowl. Love the over easy egg on top.

Google
This has been one of our favorites to order via door dash but we recently decided to go eat there to in - I'm so glad we did, the atmosphere is so nice! I love that they have tablets for you to order on since there are a lot of customizations. The food is always fresh and delicious!

Google
Awesome place to go for some Korean food!! I love the model of this restaurant because you place an order and don’t have to talk to anyone : ). There are plenty of premade options or build your own rice bowls. They are super generous with the meat and everything is very tasty when mixed together. The dumplings and chicken are surprisingly crispy and wonderfully savory. The miso soup is just okay, it’s a little bland. Overall, this place gives you a great portion of tasty food for the price, I will definitely be back here.

Google
The atmosphere was nice and clean but I was slightly disappointed with my visit. When you come in instead of ordering with the staff you must order with the kiosk. On the kiosk I asked for a certain dumpling flavor and that was not correct and it asked for special request and that was not honored. Not only that the way they have the restaurant was set up it didn’t feel comfortable to address the things that were wrong. When the lady came out and dropped off my order I was shocked that I spent so much money on a drink that they did not even fill up. Like why not add ice or something it literally felt like I didn’t get my moneys worth. I ordered the bimbimbap and dumplings. As I said previously the dumplings were not the correct flavor and the actual meal was very subpar nothing special about it. It made me feel like if you’ve never had Korean food before maybe you’d be fine but overall not great.

Google
Pretty good food. Service was extremely fast. Had my order within about 3 minutes. The portions are large & the prices are reasonable. Bulgogi bowl & mandoo were excellent. Miso soup was so-so, but I am fairly picky when it comes to that.

Debbie W

Google
Good place to stop in for some Korean food. Service was good and food came fast and it was fresh and hot. We had a hot stone bowl, spicy chicken bites, and dumplings. I liked the dumplings and bowl the best. We got it with beef this time but I prefer the chicken.

Blas Garcia

Google
Great new restaurant! Their staff is friendly and answered all my questions about my order. The rice bowl was delicious and service was really fast. The bulgogi has a great texture and seasoned well. Big filling portions. The restaurant is clean and has a great complimentary salad and soup bar.

Bruce Wayne

Google
This place is one of my treat myself places. The bulgogi is flavorful and the vegetables blend well with the kimchi rice. The hot stone bowl leaves you with crispy rice bits at the end and keeps the food at a nice temp. Their Korean Mandu (dumplings) and miso soup are decent. There’s minimal interaction with the staff, but they do make sure things are stocked (such as utensils and sauces) and check if you’re content with your food. The place is pretty clean as well. If you’re in the mood for Korean food, this is a solid place to get it. Can get a little pricey though with all the additions.

Yelp
We got delivery for our meals. We got the regular abundant meals, melon uyu, and iced k latte. Our delivery was spot on and the food was still hot when it got here. Now our dishes were delicious. We got the spicy bulgogi and the bulgogi with the signature sauce and sesame sauce. We added all of the toppings on top of it. It's really good with bursting flavors. The coffee just tasted like sweet coffee, and the melondew drink was light and perfect summer drink. The dumplings were kind of soggy, but the miso soup was pretty solid.

Yelp
I loved this place. It was my first time and I will 100% be going back. The food here is delicious. I loved the customization and the self-available sauce creation. It really creates a unique experience. I loved how all you have to do is click on the ipad and order, making the service super quick and easy. The restaurant itself is completely organized and clean and has a cool sophisticated look. The price also is not that bad. Definitely will be returning and excited to come back!

Nichole D.

Yelp
First time customer and I really enjoyed my meal. Flavor and ingredients were so fresh and delicious. I also ordered a latte and it was yummy. The beef was tender. The portion was good, too. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that my rice was overcooked a bit and mushy. I will be back to try it again, though! It could have been a one-time thing.

Erin K.

Yelp
We visited during lunch time on a weekday, and there weren't too many people inside, so there were a lot of tables and seats available. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. There are kiosks that you can order from, which is nice since you can customize your food! They also have a self-serve station with sauces. I ordered the spicy bulgogi bowl (in the hot stone pot), and it came out quickly! The portions were pretty big, and the food was HOT. A good place for bibimbop!

Kayo N.

Yelp
What happened to the burning rice? They reduced the pricing but so was their choice of ingredients!! They took out kimchi rice, veggies rice, less proteins, no fish cakes on toppings, added yellow onions on toppings (I don't think a proper Korea bibimbap comes with it) less sauce options (no more spicy stuff) no more fried egg???? Sad to say but I have to find other places for a healthier to go restaurants. I am so disappointed.

Sam B.

Yelp
I would say my wife likes his place better than I do. It's different and allows us to change up things a little bit but, I'm not really impressed. I mean it is rice stirfried with certain items, but I'm not a fan of the flavors or of the sauces. We're just call that a personal opinion. it isn't an expensive but it's not over priced badly. In my book it is an also ran that I prefer not to visit regularly except when a family member wants to go there. Nothing exceptional or special that would bring me back specifically.

Genesis M.

Yelp
Amazing food at Burning Rice! It was packed with flavor and hot! The spicy chicken was great and adding siracha makes it better! The place is clean and you are also able to order on your own if you don't want to go up to the cashier! Definitely recommend stopping by!

Darren L.

Yelp
Service: Order yourself menu makes it nice and simple. Options are plentiful making it very easy to choose your desires. Orders come out just like a fat food restaurant. Food: Regular Bowl, brown rice, BBQ chicken, all sides plus, fried egg and mandu. Sizzling bowl. Added sauces: gochujang and sesame. Mandu was burnt but was still ok, fried egg was a bit over cooked. Rice was dry. The flavors were good and when mixed together, the dish was ok. An ok place to goto for Korean Bibimbop.

Devion T.

Yelp
Amazing food definitely great for diabetics like myself. The service was very convenient we didn't have to speak to anyone the terminals offered amazing variety of options to choose from, the vibe or atmosphere of this establishment is superb & chill

Allen T.

Yelp
Well I am not impressed with my first visit. I ordered the 10 signature wings for lunch through Uber eats. The app said they will be ready in 10 mins. That should have been a red flag since real korean wings should be made to order.... Anyway, just I expected- the wings were not hot inside. The breading was crunchy but it is just not freshly made. The sauce was fairly flavorful and spicy. I may come back to try other things but I will stay away from the wings.

Lee P.

Yelp
Require tipping at the time you order your meal on a screen at an order station. Where you sir yourself and there is no contact with anyone is stupid. Having lived in South Korea I can tell you this hasn't started with the hospitality there. Feels like a factory .The Bibimbop is just oK. The sauces are nothing should special. Meats wasn't even close. word for this place is disappointing.

Philip Y.

Yelp
A great place for Bibimbap at less than $14 ( before tax & tip) There are many customer choices on rice, protein, and sides. The service was fast and tasted great! Wish they offer more side dishes like typical Korean restaurants.

Chelsea O.

Yelp
Eh, nothing to write home about. I guess if you wanted fast casual Korean you could go here. Miso was overly salted. Good options to pick from.

Giang L.

Yelp
As soon as I walk through the door, I know this place will be good. It smells so good here. I have a regular bowl with bulgogi, everything and easy egg. The easy is a little bit over cooked. The reason for the three stars are that the food is just average. I like the way they use soy bean sprout. However, the fish cake does not really stand out. It will be so much better if they add some more vegetable like bok choy,...

Dang N.

Yelp
ăn ngon đấy, ăn tofu vegan, nhưng mà giá hơi cao. được cái nước trong đó cũng free nên thoải mái. sẽ thử món khác lần tiếp theo.

Arran D.

Yelp
This restaurant has taken a severe decline in quality since the new year. They give way more rice than they used to (now it's sweet??) and the vegetables taste unwashed. The price is also substantially higher. They list the bowls individually as almost 8 dollars, but then they sneakily add 4 dollars when you select a protein. Deception at its finest. Service was prompt but rushed, and I wish I had gone somewhere else. There was nobody else in the place, and we should've taken that as a sign that we would be disappointed. Spent upwards of 50 dollars on 3 bowls and all of them were less than 1/4 picked at.

Daniel B.

Yelp
They restored everything back to the way it was! I'm back to coming here every week or two, fantastic place for bibimbap.

Paley W.

Yelp
The food is just ok. Bibimpap really should be much hotter when served, but maybe it's because I didn't get in a stone pot. Though now I think about it, why would they offer options at all to not serve it in a stone pot when tradition calls for it. You can order from the kiosk when you enter and customize all your selections from the screen. I would recommend adding dumplings to your order because it definitely tasted better than the bibimbap itself. Authenic? no. Good place for a quick Korean fix? Sure.

Cam A.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. The portions are super small for what you're paying, my food was cold when I got it, there was no flavor and I ordered extra sauce and didn't get any sauce at all. Bibimbop is one of my favorite dishes and this was just a huge disappointment.

Goodness I.

Yelp
This place has an interesting concept that is very confusing. Came with a friend and it was both of our first times, so we didn't understand the ordering process. Unfortunately, there isn't staff readily available to field questions. Food was okay, nothing was amazing. Not sure I would return...

Robert S.

Yelp
Delicious. The food came out quick, it was all fresh and incredibly tasty. The restaurant is very clean and well kept. This is most certainly worth a do-over!!

Chris J.

Yelp
Sooo i love Korean food. One of my top 3 favorite foods. I want to give this spot more stars but my bibimbop came out luke warm. To me thats a huge flaw for this dish. The flavor was there certainly. The options to create your own was plentiful. I just need it to be served HOT. Id definitely give it another try as its worth it. Finding good Korean food is tough, so try this spot out for sure.

Patrick F.

Yelp
My wife and I used to love Burning Rice because of the sauce bar where we could each customize our own sauces to pour into the hot stone bowls. We were extremely disappointed when visiting the Richardson location yesterday to find the entire sauce bar gone and only 2 generic choices for sauce in the self-ordering screen. When I asked a staff member if they still had all the old sauces and how we as guests could get them, she kept saying "yes" without explaining how we could get what we wanted. It was clear she wasn't interested in helping customers so we walked out. It's a shame when restaurants decide to remove the thing you enjoy most. I'm sure someone at corporate had a compelling presentation about the cost of maintaining it and keeping them filled where customers had access to them. Congratulations, you saved money and lost customers. I have never seen the restaurant so empty at lunch but it made sense after the menu and guest experience has been gutted. Velvet Taco was just around the corner and allowed me to customize my order completely!

Mariana L.

Yelp
Damn I was so looking forward to my favourite lunch spot next to work for the new year and was so disappointed to find out they have reduced the menu. What happened to eggs and some of the other protein products? You can't add anything extra... Only 2 sauces available... Burning Rice what happened? Very disappointed...

Peter H.

Yelp
I never leave a review but I feel there's a need. I live more than 30 mins away from the closest burning rice but have often made the trip to enjoy their food. I cant explain the disappointment when half of their menu options are gone when I went last weekend. I also heard their stone pots are going away as well. Despite removing all those options, I don't believe there was a significant difference in price which is upsetting. Last time I'm going there unfortunately.

Dan. B.

Yelp
I used to eat here weekly. It was amazing. Then I went back right after new year and was shocked at the way they butchered the menu. Then I read they had changed back. I went in there today and the service was great, and the restaurant was clean as always. Unfortunately, they're sticking with this Signature sauce that tastes like ultra watered down gochujang with too much sugar. Bring back the real gochujang, or whatever version of it you had last year please. Do that and I'll go back to weekly visits.

Cheryl C.

Yelp
I'm visiting from SoCal, and I WISH this restaurant would please open a few locations in California!!! I absolutely love the food here, it's so delicious, cooked perfectly and it's so quick & easy to order. The food is brought to your table, all of the condiments and drinks are fully stocked, it's the perfect spot for a quick lunch break! I normally don't like to visit the same spot twice, especially when I'm out of state, but this place hits the spot. It's vegetarian friendly and the choices are authentic, so delicious!

Denise H.

Yelp
It was flavorful and very well cooked. We did ask for extra spice to meet our preference. The difference between my partner and I is he paid for a hot pot which kept his bowl well heated throughout the entire meal in which I would recommend if you're a slow eater! The environment was clean and the service was fast. This was my first time trying and although it was a good this option wasn't my first choice. I felt that the menu was a bit misleading. There was Yelp reviews that had pictures of broth/ramen as a food item as menu item. Unfortunately most likely due to Covid these are no longer available as well as their other options at dine-in. I'll be returning later down the road to give it a second chance.

Lindsey C.

Yelp
The first picture shows their stone bowl with kimchi rice, broccoli, bean sprouts, spicy pork, and sunny-side-up eggs. For the first bowl, I chose the bean sprouts and broccoli because it gave it an earthy flavor. The spicy pork gave the meal the nice little kick that I was after and really lived up to my expectations. The second picture is of another stone bowl and that one had white rice, kimchi, carrots, corn kennels, spicy chicken, and also a sunny-side-up egg. For both bowls, I went with a sunny-side-up egg because I wanted the yolk to ooze onto the meat. Overall, both bowls were pretty good. There was an explosion of flavors when you took a bite of both dishes and I 100% recommend the spicy pork. The best part about this place is that you have the option to add all the toppings on their menu that you want to your meal!

Noah C.

Yelp
Great food, delicious sauces and prices and good portions! Would come here again soon. I like that the specialize in one thing and mastered it. Would wish that they had their soup bar though.

Liz J.

Yelp
i like so many other am disappointed to see the menu has been paired way down. but more disappointed in what I ordered. I ordered the bowl with the chicken bites. the description made it seem like I was going to get the bites like the appetizer. what I got was their dry fried chicken patty. this will more than likely be my last visit since I can't get all my favorite toppings or even the sauce I like. honestly I only visited today to cash in my points from Toast.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
1st time here and it was delicious. The environment was relaxed and comfortable, service was quick and the whole vibe was on point. The food was flavorful and well prepared. I love the ability to order at the kiosk, so I had time to go through everything.

Ishita R.

Yelp
I came here in 2020, and once again after 3 years and it hasn't changed. I LOVE their food. You can choose your grains, protein, veggies, and egg. It's super customizable and yummy. I highly recommend, you can never go wrong with Burning Rice.

Henna L.

Yelp
love the bibimbop here! I usually get bulgogi with my bibimbop but I've recently been enjoying their garlic pork bibimbop. Service is fast and I enjoy coming here for lunch or dinner. Lots of seating too; it's a fast and casual place to eat.

Rhonda L.

Yelp
The food was great- and plentiful. The service was fast and it was Easy to order at the kiosk.

Kevin V.

Yelp
So I come here for lunch almost every other day, and it's pretty good, the food is fresh and delicious. But there are times when it takes a long time even though there are no customers or it'll be dead and for some reason the food is stone cold even though it was a new order. Recently I dropped my uyu drink because it was bagged for some reason and it snagged in the car. I went back the next day since I had to get back to work and I asked as a courtesy if I could get another on since I'm a regular (mind you I tip on ever single order regardless) and they basically told me no since it's not the same day. It was just really disappointing because I like this place but the pitfalls have me deciding not to come back. Good food doesn't make up for bad service

Allison B.

Yelp
I used to love coming here but the past few times I have gone, there are such little veggies and so much rice. I was really disappointed today about the rice in my bowl. The restaurant had only been open for about an hour before I ordered and my rice was inedible. It was like hard rice balls that I couldn't even break apart with my fingers. I just ate the tofu and threw the rest out, but spending almost $14 on 5 pieces of tofu is really disappointing.

Sarah K.

Yelp
Love love love this place!! It's def my go to place for satisfying my korean food cravings! My personal fav inlcudes the following in a kid's size bowl for $7.95: Bulgogi beef (spicy) Kimchi Rice Toppings: Bean sprouts, Shitake mushrooms, kimchi, spinach, zucchini, carrot, japcake, and fish cake Also, there is a complimentary small salad bar and miso/seaweed soup as well!! I love how fast this place is! Even when it's super packed, you get your food within a few minutes. I'm not going to say it's the best quality bulgolgi or miso soup, but it definitely hits the spot ;)

Jotrellia M.

Yelp
If you want korean food this is not it. Wow I really hate it. It's fast food "inspired" I guess by korean flavors but if you are looking for real Korean food just move right past this place.

Zachary K.

Yelp
I got to buy one get one free off Uber eats and I was not disappointed! The food was extremely tasty and well portioned. The sweetness, the saltiness, the crunchy, the slimy, it was all inside. I will consider ordering again.

Aimes O.

Yelp
COME. EAT. HERE. NOW! So incredibly happy that my gf found this gem of a place by randomly perusing Yelp! We came out on a Sunday afternoon to try out the new spot which was a great experience. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll notice that there's a sign on the door for "BYOB"... what!? YES! Burning Rice allows its patrons to bring in their own wine or beer (no hard liquor). The young lady who was working the register was super accommodating. After we explained that it was our very first time visiting, she immediately told us not to worry and that she'd walk us through it. At Burning Rice, they prepare healthy meals that are fresh and made with locally sourced ingredients that are delivered daily. I'm down for that for sure. There are two types of bowls to choose from: the regular bowl or the hot stone bowl. GET THE HOT STONE BOWL. From there, you choose your type of rice. I mixed mine: Kimchi Rice (Spicy, Gluten Free) and Brown Rice (Gluten Free, Vegetarian). Then you choose your protein; I stuck with the spicy chicken while my friend went with the LA Galbi - Korean Short Rib (extra $3.00 I believe). From there, you get to choose AS MANY toppings as you'd like to add to your bowl. Choices include Spinach, Fish Cake, Zucchini, Kimchi, Bean Sprouts, Japchae Noodles, Mushrooms and Carrots. I got everything but the fish cake & mushrooms. Lastly, you add your egg and BAM! You've got the best thing coming! What I also enjoyed at Burning Rice was the complementary soup and salad bar. I had the miso soup... which would have been A1 had they added tofu to the soup. Everything in the restaurant was clean and organized. Even with how they rolled out your meal, everything was in order. It's definitely worth a visit!

Elisa M.

Yelp
I love Korean food, however it isn't the most accessible food . . . And then along comes this little place. I walked in and was greeted and wasn't sure about what I wanted so the lady went over the concept and options I had. I decided on the hot stone bowl with bulgogi & kalbi (don't judge me!) and few toppings. She let me know that with my order I also had access to the salad bar. I found a seat and went to the salad bar to check it out. Now this is a basic salad bar (lettuce, carrots, cucumber, broccoli and such) with two types of dressing and offers two soups (miso & seaweed) and I tried it all. The bowls are small but let's be real, are you really coming for the salad bar and soup? No, this is just a nice side accompaniment to cleanse the palette. My food was delivered to my table and the biggest smile crossed my face. Aaah, a taste of Korea! The bulgogi was okay (I'm a slight snob as I have a Korean auntie who makes the bomb bulgogi) - it didn't have much flavor but the kalbi - yes you pay a little extra but when I come back this is what I'll be getting! The egg was a good accompaniment as it added like a sauce over the rice and side items so the bowl wasn't so dry. Personally I love a little crunchy rice, however I didn't find much in my bowl (maybe I was eating it too quickly!) but the overall experience was wonderful. The food was hot & delicious!!

Nhu C.

Yelp
This place is a walk up & order kind of restaurant. The menu is really simple and straight to the point. You have a choice of either rice bowl or ramen. With the rice bowl, you can get it in a regular or the hot stone bowl. My sisters & I opted for the hot stone bowl & with the bowl, you get to "choose your toppings" & a choice of meat. After you walk up & order, everything is self service. They have a complimentary salad & soup bar to go with your meal & it's unlimited! Both salad dressings are super delicious! We got hot stone bulgogi bowl with white rice & an LA Galbi bowl with kimchi rice! Both superdelicious!! The only thing is if you're used to super marinated foods, I would recommend adding some ganjang sauce to the bulgogi bthey have available at the salad bar to the bulgogi bowl for more flavor. The staff is super nice & helpful. The environment is perfect for hanging out with friends & family whether it be for lunch or dinner! They also have a punch card for those who come feequently. For every $10 spent, you get a stamp & after collecting 10 stamps, you get $10 off your next bowl! I will definitely come back!

Huong V.

Yelp
Very disappointed with the new menu! Tasted like trash! Quality of the food was terrible and price increased. Inflation sucks! Won't go back

Doug C.

Yelp
1st visit to this location as we have eaten at spots in The Colony, Frisco and Plano. And this place measures up real well. Our food was delivered to dine in faster than we took to place the order on the computer. See photo. Lots of great food and plenty for leftovers.

Shirley R.

Yelp
Burning Rice is a fairly simple location, but the quality of the meats is superb, and they made sure to give each dish I tasted a distinct touch and particular attention. I highly recommend the Beef Bulgolgi with Egg--it was simple to prepare, but the flavors were explosive! Also, their hot stone bowl keeps your meal hot, so you won't have to rush through your dinner to keep it from cooling down. The complimentary salad bar was fantastic--there was so much to select from. I can't wait to return to sample the rest of the menu!!

Dillon L.

Yelp
Finally got around to trying this place, and it delivers exactly on what you expect, and that's a good thing. It seems like everything is going build-your-own and bibimbap makes so much sense. Burning Rice keeps it pretty traditional with their options, so not a fusion place really. We ordered two hot stone bowls, the veggie option being vegetable rice (white rice + veggies) and tofu, and the meat option being kimchi rice and bulgogi. When they say hot they aren't playing around, those bowls are steaming. To the point where I might say they they're too hot because I had to wait to eat my food lol. But really, if you're in a hurry I'm not sure the hot stone is the way to go if you want to keep your mouth safe from burns. Dining in includes free salad and soup, which is a plus. The salad is pretty lackluster but the soup was solid. Between the seaweed and miso I'd go seaweed, the miso didn't have much flavor. And pro tip, put some mushrooms or other veggies from the salad bar in your bowl and pour soup on for a heartier soup. I'm curious about the ramen but it seemed like nobody in the restaurant had ordered it lol. All in all, a really good value and delicious food. This is a must visit for casual Asian dining, great for lunch if you have a little bit of time. The amount of food is deceptively large.. the bowls don't look big but I ate my entire bowl and felt stuffed afterward. I'll def be back!

Amanda L.

Yelp
Pretty tasty and close by. Can't really complain other than I miss the soup and salad bar but I understand why.

Gabriel W.

Yelp
I came on Monday lunchtime and it was decently slow. They had about 3 workers working and a small line at check out. I normally enjoy visiting Burning Rice locations, but unfortunately this visit was a disappointment. Upon ordering, I went with garlic pork and my gf wanted the "pork cutlet with our signature BBQ sauce" for her protein. However the sweet Asian cashier couldn't understand that and kept repeating it as garlic pork. We kept asking her to change it pork cutlet because we thought she misheard but she didn't and we couldn't understand he accent too clearly. No Salad/ Soup: While we were waiting in line, we had noticed that they had no more self service salad or soup bar and we thought maybe they were being responsible and just serving it for us, but that was sadly not the case. We asked the cashier if she was able to service our soup of choice or salad and she just said they do not have it and will not even serve it for us. That was a huge disappointment. I have never been to a Korean place where there is no soup or even salad starter and despite lacking that, they still charge normally price. I normally drink a lot of soup and salad here because it's a big appeal for me to come back. All of a sudden 1/3 of my meal is missing, but I still have to pay the same price as before. Atmosphere: The workers are not servicing tables at all and by the time we left, there were 4-5 tables unbused and left a mess. When we were finding out table, all the tables we tried out were sticky and just felt not clean. The tables were wobbly and even our number placard was disgusting. This was not up to our expectations. TL;DR No More Salad or Soup, but they charge the same price as before. Ordering accuracy leaves much to be desired. Tables are sticky and Tables are left unbused and dirty.
