This Burns Bistro opened over 3 years ago on July 3, 2021 (if I remember correctly) as a pilot project. It is located inside the Marketplace Kroger in Summerwood. And has been a hit since day one. Usually, customers call in their order for pickup and carryout. You also have the option of walking in and placing an order, eat inside in the designated air conditioned deli dining area or outside on the covered patio area with outdoor fans. If you want catering (which they do), it is my understanding that you call the original Burns to make arrangements. Today I tried the Regular Link Sandwich with a small side of macaroni & cheese. I like the fact that they serve pickles, onions, and their own Burns BBQ sauce on the side. The sauce is really awesome! (And can be purchased in the deli.) Makes the whole meal. And they carry their own signature drinks in a cold case display. They do load up the meat on their sandwiches. As for the macaroni & cheese; a little over the top with the pepper today, at least for me, but still good. Oh, they are closed Monday and Tuesday.

I’ll let you all be the judge. I went in and ordered a three meat plate. They said they had sold out because it was after lunch and close to closing time but the fact that they didn’t have any containers and just power meat or just one little to go container and wrapped in the foil was kind of why I gave them a low rating. The food is phenomenal. I love the barbecue, but the presentation of my to go plate really disappointed me. I also asked for onions and pickles and was given a little self-serve cup to go for three meat plate. I thought that was kind of funny also. But I love the food.

I’ve looked at all of the other reviews and I’m just baffled. Ofcourse people only come to write reviews when it’s negative though so let me change the narrative. When I went to this location , I was greeted soon as I walked in the door , the portion size of my food was GREAT and the vibes were cool. I believe the young man with the name of “prime” helped me out and he definitely was exceptional! He made it feel like home and I would definitely be coming back. Customer service skills were good , food was good and I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

I will never eat here again. I ordered a two meat plate and a chopped beef baked potato for my son on Tuesday. We are just recovering from getting ill from this. I believe it was the potato because I tried his. Never again. My stomach still hurts.

Criminal ! Wife picked us up 2 sliced brisket sandwiches , Mac & Cheese and a banana pudding. The pudding tasted of chemicals , the M&C was uneatable and then there was the sandwiches. Probably almost 1lb per sandwich which I couldn’t believe , easily enough meat for 2 sandwiches. But the meat couldn’t be chewed ! I can bite through leather but could only get through about half the slices. My wife threw hers in the trash because she can’t chew through leather. My pit bull terrier couldn’t chew it ! She ate by swallowing a couple pieces and brought 2 pieces back and laid at my feet. I’ve never seen anything like it ! Never go/come here , ever !!! In picture are pieces myself then my dog tried to eat unsuccessfully. Chips were a personal add after tasting the M&C again - uneatable !

I ordered a slice beef sandwich and the beef was not done. It was too thick and tough. The fatty part was not done. I was very disappointed. Triple J's Barbecue is the best. You try to support the black restaurants but some of them have bad food. I was at the location off of the belt way and west lake Houston in humble. Do nOT buy their food its horribly.

We went to the new Burns Bistro in Kroger in Summerwood. We paid $19.00 for a pound of brisket. The brisket was very chewy and stringy and extremely fatty. Some of the tougher pieces were not cut across the grain. I am disappointed because it is not the quality that the original Burns BBQ served.

My uncle came here to pick up three brisket sandwiches and I don’t know why I thought burns bbq was gonna taste anything similar to BUCKYS , but the fact the bbq tasted absolutely nothing like any place that has any flavor is ridiculous. All of yall need to get yall black card and Texas card snatched from yall for even thinking about serving any of that bland brisket. The bbq sauce that came with the brisket tasted like yall ran out of bbq sauce so yall stretched it with some baked bean juice!!! I don’t know if yall think everyone up here paying in foodstamps but if that’s the case there are people out here that is paying with their hard earned money for some garbage . Y’all need to do better!!!
