Yelp
Located close to Hilton Head Island where we were staying, we found this spot on Yelp and knew we had to stop by. I'm so glad we did!
What an amazing distillery--awesome spirits, delicious cocktails, top notch eats, and a super fun environment.
We stopped by here early one evening during a recent vacation to Hilton Head Island and immediately knew we had to make a night of it. They were having some sort of 20's speakeasy themed evening, with a special themed cocktail menu, live music, and all sorts of merriment.
My dining companion and I started things off by sharing a whiskey flight. We were big fans of their American whiskey as well as their bourbon cream (my goodness--the delicious decadence).
After the flight, we decided to enjoy a cocktail from their specialty cocktail menu. My dining companion opted for their Louis Armstrong (from the 20's evening menu-a twist on a manhattan) and I got their black pearl cocktail from their regular daily specialty cocktail menu which was a delicious blend of Anita's Choice Bourbon, house made vanilla simple, peach liqueur, and blackberries with an orange garnish. It was reminiscent of an old fashioned with a little more flavor complexity. I very much enjoyed it!
For our appetizer, we started things off with their smoked goat cheese appetizer. It was good. I expected a bit more goat cheese sharpness but it was solid. I also got a side caesar, which was ample for a side salad! For our main, we decided to go for one of their specialty pizzas, the Casa Blanca. It had a basil pesto base, shredded mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, and sliced tomatoes. The crust was thin and slightly crispy (kind of reminiscent of a tonda romano style crust). It was delicious!
The service was kind and attentive. The tasting room/restaurant area is huge with tons of bar seating as well as tables. Even on a busy evening, we were able to be seated straight away.
One of our favorite stops of our vacation!
