"You can taste and buy world-class spirits at bustling and visually stunning Burnt Church Distillery, including various themed flights and creative cocktails, but the food is also a big draw. The in-house menu, including a unique charcuterie board bento box, pairs well with Burnt Church’s flights and cocktails and a surprisingly strong wine and beer list, as do the creative pizzas from adjacent Pizza Co. Pro tip: Book a behind-the-scenes tours far in advance." - Lynn and Cele Seldon

Google
Burnt Church is an excellent addition to the Bluffton restaurant/bar scene. We were planning to stop in only for drinks, but the restaurant that we had hoped to visit was closed, so we had lunch. Unfortunately, the Google Maps app lists this as a 'distillery,' so it is not possible to break out the food rating, but it's a five for us. We were not terribly hungry. I ordered a Greek Salad, and my parents ordered some loaded wings to share. We mentioned in passing that we might share, and the waitress took it upon herself to break down the salad into three smaller portions so that everyone could have their own plate—extra points for service. And my parents are still raving about the wings. They were messy but excellent. And we have not even talked about the main reason to come here.. the spirits. My parents had the Manhattan, which was offered in various styles (choice of rye, bourbon, etc). It was funny because at first they balked at the seemingly high price for a relatively simple cocktail, but here we are a few days later, and they are still raving about how it was the best Manhattan they have ever had. I had a sampler, and each taste had an individual personality. It was nice to be able to try the flight on our first trip so that we know what to order next time. The atmosphere here is excellent, with several sitting and dining areas and a large bar. The gift shop was well stocked with many bar items you never knew you needed. :) This is a fabulous spot, and we will return.

The Burnt Church is a hidden gem that has quickly become one of my favorite spots! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance draws you in with its warm, inviting atmosphere. The decor strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and modern flair, creating a welcoming vibe for both intimate gatherings and lively nights out. Now, let’s talk about the cocktails — they are nothing short of spectacular! Each drink is crafted with precision and creativity, showcasing a unique blend of flavors that tantalize the taste buds. Whether you’re in the mood for something classic or adventurous, the mixologists here have you covered. I highly recommend trying their signature cocktails; they’re a delightful experience in a glass! What truly sets The Burnt Church apart, however, is the exceptional service. George, the manager, runs this place like he owns it, and you can feel the passion he has for ensuring every guest has an unforgettable experience. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality make you feel like part of the family. George is always on hand to recommend the best drinks or share stories about the creative inspirations behind the cocktails. In a city full of bars and restaurants, The Burnt Church stands out not just for its amazing drinks but also for its welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and enjoy fantastic cocktails, look no further. I can’t wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

I had the chance to visit Burnt Church Distillery today, and although I didn't have the opportunity to eat or drink, I was truly impressed by the atmosphere. The building itself is stunning—beautifully designed with a lot of attention to detail. It's clear they've put thought into creating a welcoming and stylish environment. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. I look forward to returning to fully enjoy the experience, but based on the ambiance and hospitality alone, this is a must-visit spot...

Wow, wow, wow....this place is amazing. Just recently built in the last 4 years. Great design, and originality put into this place. The manager Dave was fantastic, gave me a little behind the scenes tour when I let him know I grew up and graduated with one of the owners. Unfortunately I didn't get there until almost close as we was traveling towards Florida. Hopefully I make it back again and can have a drink and some food. B

Google
The place was beautiful, perfect for enjoying a drink and some bar food. We ordered a beer and a mixed drink to sip on while waiting for the boneless wings and goat cheese dip. The dip was basic and seemed overpriced compared to other places we've tried. The wings, on the other hand, were a good value and cooked well, though they didn’t stand out as anything special.

Recommendations: Call and make reservations. The main building fills up fast on Friday nights. But if you get there, and it’s full, just walk over to the smaller building where they cook the food. We went just for the P wall and stayed for food. Food: The loaded boneless wings were good. I think they could have used more sauce. The pizzas we got had the wood fired crust. They were good. Service: The service was satisfactory. Pay attention to the shop closing time. 8 pm. A coworker almost got locked in the gate. Building: The place is pretty big and has an outdoor patio, along with a smaller building. Bathroom: the bathrooms are fun. The men’s has a pee wall. Video below is not actually footage of pee. It’s water. Parking: Plenty of on premises parking which is free. Notes: They stop selling alcohol in the gift shop at 7 pm. Hit the thumbs up and give me a follow. I’m trying to be relevant or something. It’s my only bragging rights.

Spent a week in Hilton Head that started and ended with Burnt Church Distillery. What an absolutely wonderful experience ! I cannot say enough positives things about Burnt Church. We received wonderful service from Sarah, our server. We met and spoke to Dave, the manager on duty and spent some time with Melissa who was the cashier in the merchandise area. Everyone we met went out of their way to provide the highest level care. The product is exceptional, the food is absolutely A+ and the service is second to none. This is a well oiled machine where everyone enjoys their job as well as the patrons. Way to go team! We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit.

Google
Amazing place in Hilton Head SC. The Manger George set me up with a flight. Bourbon 🥃 x3 and American Whiskey and a Rye. All great but the winner is Confession. In 2nd was Anita followed by Johnny Fever. Cool building and decor. A must come in and have a drink place and take a bottle home. Thanks George. Cheers.

Yelp
My bartender Brandon was amazing I ordered an espresso martini and it tasted amazing as it looked definitely will come back

Yelp
Must visit spot in the area! Burnt Church is truly incredible and delivers a 5 star experience on every aspect of the visit. Atmosphere: incredible design inside and out. Very streamlined and modern look. Logo is very sharp on the merch. Staff: SO friendly! Our waiter Matt provided the ultimate experience, offering delicious recommendations and samples of house made products Drinks: Each cocktail was so unique and refreshing. Not pictured, but a table favorite, was The Black Pearl. Also, if you're in the mood for something sweeter, the chocolate milk moonshine mixed with the bourbon cream creates a delightful boozy milkshake. Food: while we expected the drinks to deliver, the food provided the same mouthwatering experience. Fresh, flavorful, delicious. Best salad I've had at a distillery. Guac was also on point.

Yelp
A wonderful spot for fabulous craft cocktails and good food in a beautiful setting! I've visited several times while in the area, and I'm always impressed at their seasonal cocktail menu - there's truly something for everyone, including those who don't drink. I tried the Summer Time - a vodka based drink with lemon juice, strawberry simple syrup, and vanilla syrup - topped with a strawberry. It was so refreshing! My boyfriend had the Old Town Old Fashioned - a classic cocktail - and was thoroughly impressed. We put our name in for a table on a busy Friday night and enjoyed our drinks while waiting at the bar. You can sit inside or outside, and we opted to beat the heat inside. For food, we ordered the shrimp tacos, which came with Mexican rice, and the 10" Margherita Pizza - olive oil, tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. Both dishes were great, but the tacos were the frontrunner. I'm a huge fan of grilled shrimp tacos, and these hit the spot! We also decided to try the Monkey Bread on their dessert menu, which is cinnamon bread bites with cream cheese frosting. They're similar to cinnamon buns but smaller bite-size pieces. Overall, Burnt Church Distillery is a beautiful spot with knowledgeable and experienced bartenders who are passionate about their craft and about craft spirits. The food menu is pretty extensive, making it a great date night spot or gathering place with friends and family.

Yelp
Outside building was gorgeous! Inside was so well done. Met by the odor of sour mash followed by food. Conversation was loud, but could be carried. Drinks were nicely poured. And on par with prices for the quality. Food was good. Chips n assorted dips was ok - chips were cold. But queso was best of 3 options. Worth the drive! Would recommend a visit.

Ande W.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting and it did not disappoint. We were a larger group 9 in total and the manager George was beyond accommodating. Since there would be a wait be offered us the option to sit at the VIP section so we would not have to wait long. The service was exceptional despite not sitting at an actual table. Drinks were well mixed, flavorful and reasonably priced for the quality. Someone even did a flight and was super pleased. Everything we had was out of the park. Our party had meatballs, pretzels, wings, loaded boneless wings, pizzas and 3 different pastas. Serving sizes were great and we had a fair amount of leftovers. We loved the ambiance it was contemporary but a chill vibe not too loud considering it's such a big space. If in the area make sure to pay a visit even if it is just for drinks.

Yelp
If you are ever close to here you have to stop. Very unique atmosphere. Drinks were on point, and the food really hit the spot. We ordered a flight to try the different liquors they had to offer. Each one had a unique flavor profile. We had a pizza with cauliflower crust, made with sausage, pepperoni, tomatoes, and black olives. We also opted for the tarimisu for desert, very decadent. When visiting keep in mind that on Sunday's South Carolina law doesn't allow you to buy bottles of liquor to purchase to take with. The bar is open and you can order drinks. We are very glad we stopped in.

Yelp
It's Memorial Weekend. We planned to meet a friend here but couldn't get the hours on their website or on the phone !! Soooo, we stopped in on Sunday to ask about their Holiday hours for Monday (Memorial Day). YES, they would be open !! Sunday ~ First off, walking into this place looks & feels like an old Church.... (as expected... thus the name !! ). Wonderful to feel such a vibe !! We sat at the bar to order a flight & food. Plenty items from which to choose in the way of drinks & food ! Glenn B. was our Bartender. The place was quite busy and the bar was slammed with drink orders going every which way. Enjoyable to watch them work so smoothly. We did finally order the Seared Tuna Plate. Delicious & light !! My husband ordered the Non-alcohol Bloody Mary with serano pepper..... just the right amount of heat for him !! While I ordered the Cucumber Vodka, straight on ice !! MMMMM, it is that smooth. On Monday, we did meet our friend. We sat at a table with Grace H. as our Server. A VERY delightful young lady. Pleasant and prompt in getting drinks to us. My husband ordered the N/A Bloody Mary again while I ordered their Old Fashion cocktail. Both were very good and Grace was very busy tending between her tables. This time we ordered the brisket sandwich with Bourbon baked beans & coleslaw. It came with some cornbread as well. Everything was delicious in flavor. Very tender and enough to split, in our opinion. We wished they had some BBQ sauce on the side to add more to the sandwich though. It was perfect for me, but my husband thought it was a bit dry. The extra sauce probably would have fixed that. Our friend ordered the Seared Tuna Plate, which she enjoyed as well as we did the day before. Our only complaint was ~ two days in a row, we had to ask for silverware settings. What gives with that....??? ‍‍. Classy place, staff works like a Swiss watch but no eating utensils dropped off at the tables ..... BOTH days !?!? I believe they could add that step in with training..... drop utensils off when the food order goes in !! Easy-peazy. We do enjoy the Burnt Church Distillery and we usually stop when passing through Bluffton. AND always walk out with a couple of bottles of "something" ! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Go here! This is the coolest place if you like spirits. We just came on a whim from Hilton Head. We did whiskey tastings and then had a grapefruit Manhattan--wowowowoow! The food is good too. We had the Hot Chic pizza (cracker-like crust) and the smoked goat cheese spread, which was delicious! Bartender was spicy and a bit intimidating. Super busy on a Monday afternoon.

Yelp
I recently visited Burn Church Distillery in Palmetto Bluff and I must say, the decor of the Rose Paddles windows really creates a great atmosphere. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink. Speaking of drinks, the signature cocktails at Burn Church Distillery are top-notch. I highly recommend trying their expressotini, it is truly amazing. The combination of espresso and other ingredients creates a unique and flavorful drink that is sure to satisfy any coffee lover. But the real standout at Burn Church Distillery is their whisky selection. The whisky based drinks and whisky tastings are phenomenal. Whether you're a whisky enthusiast or just curious to try something new, you won't be disappointed. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate about whisky, making the tasting experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Burn Church Distillery is a must-visit for anyone looking for a great atmosphere, delicious cocktails, and exceptional whisky. I can't wait to go back and try more of their offerings.

Yelp
This is a must do on vacation. Like plan ahead of time. (FYI, SC still has weird blue laws. So no bottle purchases on Sundays.) The building is gorgeous. The stained glass and open vibe. Certainly family friendly with a great pizza menu. While we missed the arrancini which is can't spell. So we did the dip trio. Zero notes. The service is always great. It's the spirits where they excel. At this point we can't walk out without a box full. Come here!

Chris W.

Yelp
Atmosphere is a 10 out of 5. Open and spacious. They even have a side room where a large party could gather. Excellent bar seating (and lots of it) as well as tables for dining. Be sure to checkout their long list of cocktails. Food and bourbon is a 4 out of 5. The PALMERS STRETCH is my favorite bourbon at Burnt Church. They have a good BOURBOM CREAM. The food makes it a place to just come and get dinner...along with a glass of bourbon. I enjoyed me some chicken wings.

Brooke M.

Yelp
Such a gem! This place is aesthetically pleasing. I love the use of their alcoholic and non alcoholic products along the back wall on the black shelves. The mix of high and low tables is nice. The drinks were flavorful and presented well. The food overall was outstanding. Even my kids enjoyed their meal selections. We started with the Smokey Goat Cheese and pita chips. This was by far my favorite. All the flavors completed each other well. My kids chose the cheesy bread which was inhaled. For dinner selections, the Cesar salad was plentiful and of good quality. Pulled chicken was simple yet delicious. The potato salad side was very tasty and complemented the shredded chicken well.

Kelly T.

Yelp
This is a beautiful, comfortably classy place perfect for lunch or dinner. We came for a late lunch and enjoyed choices from their new menu. The food is very good and not oversized dishes. The penne pasta with meat sauce and the tuna tacos were delicious! The pasta dish was prepared perfectly aside from the overcooked, hard breadstick. Hub enjoyed the tacos, but it is a smallish serving for you big eaters. The cocktails from their large selection were perfect! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the music overhead. Highly recommend!

Bill C.

Yelp
What a super cool place! Only had time for a drink but it was very good. Would recommend visiting for sure!

Jeanette G.

Yelp
Beautiful building with a large bar area. They also offer tours which we unfortunately didn't take. Attentive and friendly service. Great drinks and bar apps.

James B.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this spot. We were looking for something like this in Savannah and couldn't find anything so we drove up here. Man are we glad we did! The cocktails are awesome and the food was good too. We were middle of the afternoon so it wasn't crowded at all. The building itself is amazing. What a cool space.

Joni W.

Yelp
We loved the Burnt Church Distillery so much that we visited twice on our one week trip. The building itself is gorgeous, with a large stained glass window setting the mood inside. The cocktails are really inspired. Between the four of us on two trips, we probably tried them all. It's hard to go wrong. They were all great! The food is more traditional, not seafood, which is common for the area, and it was great as well. Service was attentive, friendly and helpful!

Josh C.

Yelp
Take the tour with Clinton, he is great. The bar is awesome. Had great conversations with everyone around us. This was our first trip and we will definitely be back. If you are in the Hilton Head area and looking for a quality cocktail (the Old Fashioned is the best I've ever had), this is the place.

mark r.

Yelp
We sat at the bar in the middle of the afternoon during the week service was very good. They have a very good selection of both flights and individual drinks. Prices are comparable with other craft cocktails. We tried a bourbon and it was very good. We also tried to flight of moonshine. It was OK but is actually not a product made on site. The bottle prices based upon reviews is a little exorbitant. After trying a flight of bourbon, I went with the Anita bourbon in an old-fashioned. It was outstanding. This place gets crowded and has limited seating at the bar. So go mid afternoon during the week if possible.

Nanette B.

Yelp
If you are visiting the Hilton Head/Bluffton area, Burnt Church Distillery is a stop to consider. Located in a beautiful building purpose-built to house the distillery, it's a place where those who yearn for well-crafted cocktails, both boozy and non-alcoholic, can congregate with fellow worshippers in a sacred-looking place. The cocktail menu really is tempting and our party tried a range of the offerings, including the Espresso Martini, tequila-based Floradora, gin forward Sanctuary Sunset, the classic Old Town Old Fashioned and the Spicy Pear Martini. All were excellent and we took home a bottle of Bourbon Cream for friends who we know will enjoy experimenting with it. Our server was personable and happy to answer our questions and fire up the Old Fashioned table-side. The only disappointment was the Chips and Dips Combo we ordered to help line our stomachs. At $18, it was wildly exorbitant for a handful of tortilla chips and modest servings of queso, guacamole and salsa. I definitely expected more for the money.

Amanda M.

Yelp
I came here twice during my trip to SC and loved both visits! The moonshine flight was yummy and light, and their cocktails are carefully crafted and beautifully presented. My favorite moonshines were the chocolate milk and sweet potato. Such a cool spot for a fun drink with friends and family!

Tanya J.

Yelp
This place is very unique to Bluffton. As far as cocktails go, Burnt Church provides what many other places haven't quite been able to do yet. We went there on a Saturday evening with about 9 people. We were sat relatively quickly, and there was still space - loved that it wasn't packed. There was live music there, which was nice. It's more of an elevated casual space, with the option to taste a flight of what they distill in house, sit down with a group, have a seat at the bar, or sit outside. Whoever you sit, service is attentive. (We started at a high stop, moved to the bar, then we're seated with our large group, our group size increased in the matter of 10 minutes). The bartenders know what they're doing, which is great. I'm a bit of a cocktail snob and these drinks were worth it. The interior is beautiful as well, such an amazing atmosphere. Great place to check out in Bluffton. They advertise this place all the time at the airport and it was cool to finally check it out. It's totally worth then drive from Savannah! Drive responsibly :)

Rob S.

Yelp
The building itself was beautiful and service was excellent. This is a place to come for drinks with friends. We needed food and it was very underwhelming. The pizza was pretty good but everything else was disappointing. The mixed cocktails were very tasty. It seems to be more for retail and the bar then food so start here then go eat somewhere else.

Danielle P.

Yelp
Really liked the ambiance in this place! Cool vibes/look. We didn't have to wait long for a spot to sit, but we got lucky because not much later, there was quite the wait! Our server was good. She had a lot of tables and was doing a great job getting around to them all. We got the tater tots (pass on these) and peppermento cheese spread with corn chips (get this). The cheese had good flavor. Tots I think are oven baked or cooked how they cook their pizzas? Kinda mushy. We split the 10" supreme pizza with cauliflower crust- pretty good flavor and a good amount of toppings. This was my first time here so I'd like to see how their regular crust is at some point. I got a flight of liquor- the moonshines were so smooth! I also tried a Bluffton Sunrise- not really my speed, I guess. I liked the staff here and the vibe. I'd return for sure.

Nick B.

Yelp
Come for the cocktails - food was good - but did not do the drinks Justice. BBQ nachos were superior to the pizza.

Leah J.

Yelp
This is always on our list of places to stop when we are on vacation in Hilton Head. The drinks are great, it has an upscale vibe, but you can also go casual. Outdoor space is huge and a great place for gatherings. The history is really cool and pizza is YUM! They always seem to have local markets in the parking lot too which adds more things to do!

Ophelia M.

Yelp
Located close to Hilton Head Island where we were staying, we found this spot on Yelp and knew we had to stop by. I'm so glad we did! What an amazing distillery--awesome spirits, delicious cocktails, top notch eats, and a super fun environment. We stopped by here early one evening during a recent vacation to Hilton Head Island and immediately knew we had to make a night of it. They were having some sort of 20's speakeasy themed evening, with a special themed cocktail menu, live music, and all sorts of merriment. My dining companion and I started things off by sharing a whiskey flight. We were big fans of their American whiskey as well as their bourbon cream (my goodness--the delicious decadence). After the flight, we decided to enjoy a cocktail from their specialty cocktail menu. My dining companion opted for their Louis Armstrong (from the 20's evening menu-a twist on a manhattan) and I got their black pearl cocktail from their regular daily specialty cocktail menu which was a delicious blend of Anita's Choice Bourbon, house made vanilla simple, peach liqueur, and blackberries with an orange garnish. It was reminiscent of an old fashioned with a little more flavor complexity. I very much enjoyed it! For our appetizer, we started things off with their smoked goat cheese appetizer. It was good. I expected a bit more goat cheese sharpness but it was solid. I also got a side caesar, which was ample for a side salad! For our main, we decided to go for one of their specialty pizzas, the Casa Blanca. It had a basil pesto base, shredded mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, and sliced tomatoes. The crust was thin and slightly crispy (kind of reminiscent of a tonda romano style crust). It was delicious! The service was kind and attentive. The tasting room/restaurant area is huge with tons of bar seating as well as tables. Even on a busy evening, we were able to be seated straight away. One of our favorite stops of our vacation! Get to it!

Val C.

Yelp
Beautiful property! Our tour was very informative and our guide, Clinton, was very engaging! We enjoyed the taste at the end of the tour and bought several bottles at the gift shop. We will be back to try the restaurant. It was a great way to spend the afternoon!

Unika B.

Yelp
Visiting the burnt church today was an awesome and fun experience. As a Marriott Vacation Club owner I was able to have a VIP tour with the other attendees to have a tour guide give history of the distillery, South Carolina and BOURBON . Learning about the aging process the grains used and such was an interesting experience. I definitely had to bring home more than a couple bottles. Unika B. & Co.

Janice P.

Yelp
HHI is where we spend our annual beach week and Burnt Church is where we make our first stop. Always a fun and lively experience. The ambiance is really special and the cocktails are delicious. This year we also had a fun time attending one of the mixology classes Burnt Church offers. If you live nearby, or like us, spend a week at the beach, Burnt Church Distillery should definitely be on your to do list.

Chris B.

Yelp
Still a cool place to try their products and enjoy several cocktails . The Anita's Choice Bourbon has a smooth delivery with the flavors hitting your palate about 30 seconds later. Try their Peat Vodka and the Bourbon Cream. Service is warm and friendly with parking on site.

Brent B.

Yelp
Another distillery experience?? Not quite! We were very surprised by the ambiance, the greeting area experience and the beverage variety, and unexpected food offerings! Distillery? To be sure! But also an unusual array of food items too. No heavy food, rather apps, pizza, and salads. In a distillery you MUST sample the products, and these have an unusual merit! The bourbon is mostly from local red rice!!! (No corn). Yet even though I'm an experienced and avid TN/KY Bourbon fan, I fell under this product's spell. I'm a strong fan! Equally so, the Rye. Here too, I love North America Ryes, but found new smooth love in South Carolina product. Lest I forget, check out the greatest asset on the field, the proprietary Bourbon Cream. Out classing Bailey's this slope shouldered bottle will bring loads of smiles that will beat the other dessert options at your table. Tours are available with prior booking which includes a tasting. Book online. Great experience.

Matt G.

Yelp
We did not get to try the food this visit (we didn't even realize they had a full menu!) but we did order two flights of alcohol to try. The Bluffton Whiskey and the Chocolate Milk Moonshine were the group favorites. That Chocolate Milk Moonshine is amazing. Great atmosphere (although the lights seem really bright for some reason? Could probably tweak the lighting and have the atmosphere be twice as good). Will definitely visit again, looking forward to trying the food next time.

Mary A.

Yelp
We visited while on vacation. Such a beautiful building. A lot of interesting aspects to notice. They had live music which was nice. We sat inside. The cocktails we tried were delicious. We had two appetizers which were good as well. I don't think you could go wrong with anything here. Our server was delightful and attentive.

Lauren K.

Yelp
On your next trip to the Blufton-Hilton Head area, you must stop in here! Or maybe you live locally and have not been. As mentioned by many other Yelpers, the architects who designed this magnificent edifice and designers who did the interior decorating are some of the best in the business. It's award winning! I promise you that walking in you, you'll be overwhelemed by how gorgeous the place is. Then you get to the bar to sample something after you're visually wowed. And it's every bit, if not more impressive! We are gin and bourbon drinkers. My husand did the whisky flight. He loved everyone. I loved the queen - a cream style that tastes like Baileys or Kahlua. I tried the cucumber and peper gin with tonic and it was divine. It has a nice floral taste that catches the cucumber notes on each sip. The staff are top notch. So attentive, and just excellent at what they do. I couldn't stop raving about how professional the staff are here the next day We also tried the cheese pizza. OMG. Like I'm already coming back and after sampling the pizza, I just wanted to move in forever! It had no right to be that good. They offer tours and have a lovely gift shop too. So, what are you waiting for? Did you not catch that I'd move into this space and eat pizza everyday if I could? I totally would. See website for hours, location, menu and planning your next visit.

Yelp
We come to bluffton every summer and this was the first time we came here. So glad we gave it a shot because the drinks were out of this world. Brandon, nick and Joseph are MACHINES behind the bar. They have such a way of taking care of everyone in a timely fashion, offering great service, while also getting drinks out to the tables around the bar. They are so chill and laid back as well. When you walk into the distillery you just are in awe of the place and how beautiful it is. I felt like I should have been drinking with my pinky up the whole time. We had some food the second time we went and it was delicious! Highly recommend a nice snack with your yummy drink!

Yelp
Great pizza and cocktails. Friendly staff. Ambiance and decor is a vibe with great music. Must visit when in the area - you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
What a gorgeous setting... I truly enjoyed myself. I felt very taken care of and appreciated the attention to detail. Can't wait to go back..., maybe tomorrow

Yelp
This place is great. Food is awesome. Atmosphere is top notch. Outdoor area is amazing. Whiskey flight is only $15

Yelp
One of out favorite places to visit when we go to Hilton Head has been Hilton Head Distillery. Sadly, they lost us as regulars this year when they decided to change their policy and not allow children under 16. But their loss is our gain as we decided to try a new distillery. On our way off the island we drove through Bluffton, SC. There we stopped at Burnt Church Distillery. Built on the design of the namesake local church that was lost to fire, the distillery is huge with high open ceilings and an enormous wall of spirits under a stained glass window. They ofter tasting flights and cocktails, but they also have food from the restaurant next door, Pizza Co. I ordered a flight of four 1/2 oz pours that included two different gins, Original Devil's Elbow, and Devil's Elbow Cucumber and Black Pepper. They were both good and I bought a bottle of the original. I also had two moonshines, chocolate milk and sweet potato pie. If only I had more room in my suitcase I would have bought them both, but settled for just the chocolate milk. My wife got the whiskey flight with larger pours and three different whiskeys plus a very good bourbon cream. To eat we got bbq chicken nachos, pimento cheese spread, and tater tots. The nachos were particularly good, and while I wouldn't head there just for the food it is plenty good to go with a little bit of spirit tasting. I finished my visit with a gin and tonic using the Devil's Elbow original and then did a little shopping in their gift shop. I got a new coaster and a "I Hit the Wall" t-shirt for my son. They have a little joke going on their about the special urinal in the men's room. If you can't make a pee joke at a distillery where are you going to make one? So we aren't welcomed at Hilton Head Distillery anymore, but we found a great replacement in Burnt Church Distillery. It looks like it will be a regular stop on our visit to Hilton Head from now on.

Yelp
Six of us had lunch here. It was our first time. The place is really cool!! Loved the stained glass window and all the bottles on display. There's also a gift shop with expensive items. We all had pizzas for lunch. Eh, I've had better. And the bottom of the pizza was burnt! My Floradora drink was quite good. The guys didn't care for the whiskies). Service was on the slow side.

Yelp
We've been wanting to try this place and so happy we did! This is not just a distillery. They have a full food menu with delicious apps and sides. We sat outside and they checked on us frequently, making sure we had everything we need. My wife and I each had our own flights (catch the photobomb by our pup, Cindy ) and i also had their Old Fashioned. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Burnt church is a unique place to visit! They have lots of great drinks to choose from as well as a pretty large menu! We had the bbq chicken nachos to start and they were delicious! We go the 10in meat pizza and that was great as well. The crust is super super thin and crispy! We enjoyed the palmetto cocktail and that was great as well! The service was qucik and friendly! Overall the atmosphere is upbeat and pleasant. I can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
We enjoyed visiting the distillery in Hilton Head. My husband is a bourbon fan who seeks out places to indulge. The Burnt Church distillery is a great place to sit and enjoy a variety of spirits. My husband had the bourbon flight which he enjoyed very much. We also selected three appetizers which were really tasty. The atmosphere is great and I can see it as a nice place for adult functions. Someone did bring a baby to this bar but that's on them I guess. Highly recommend.

Yelp
All of the food was delicious, especially the goat cheese spread. If you're from NY like me you'll hate the pizza crust, but the toppings for the pizza were good. My partner said the wings are the best he's ever had - fell right off the bone. The cocktails were delicious- especially the special peppermint martini holiday drink. The food came out quickly, but the service overall was pretty slow. The inside and outside are both very beautiful. I would come back every time I'm visiting this part of SC!

Yelp
The service and ambiance was wonderful. The building is very cool and as of 2024 they've been in business 3 years the bartender said. The Chicken Nachos had okay flavor, but the cheese was cold. Bourbon/whiskey was not great straight. This might be a difference of taste. I enjoyed the pear vodka, but it would be better in a mixed cocktail rather than straight. The Bourbon Cream was delicious. Taste like vanilla Whipped cream or melted icecream. The Tiramisu was on the dry side.

Yelp
Amazing place. In my humble opinion, calling this place just a distillery is a disservice. It could double as a tourist attraction! The venue is beautiful and is worth checking out even if you don't drink alcohol. The service was great here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The manager came around and when I told him we were there for my father's bday, he went out of his way to give our whole party a tour of the distillery even though it was a Sunday and only the dining and bar area were open. The manager graciously took many pics for us and showed us around. The drinks were delicious and there was something for everyone. The highlight was the smokey old-fashioneds that everyone in my party had. The food was pretty good but I will forewarn you that the food isn't high-class or anything. I would compare it to elevated stadium food. We had the nachos, pizza and wings. They were all tasty. Overall, just a great place to hang out.

Yelp
This place has amazing drinks & food that are always made perfectly and food is always so fresh. Staff is always friendly. Love the ambiance in this place! They also sell some alcohol bottles of their own and have flights available to try some different flavors.
