Burnt End BBQ in Crown Center

Overall, a solid first visit. We got right in on a Saturday evening, and Sergio gave us quick and friendly service. My beef brisket was very good, but short of being great. Rice and veggies were fresh. My wife liked her pulled pork but didn't like the smoked sausage at all. I tasted the smoked sausage - not great - cold and kinda grainy.

Please don’t eat here. The fried cornbread makes fast food French toast sticks taste gourmet. I knew it wouldn’t be that great based on the reviews. But I didn’t know it would be this bad. The burnt ends were dry and chewy. It was a sorry excuse for food. Please eat anywhere else.

Ordered 1/4 lb of brisket and 1/4 lb of burnt ends. The meat had a nice balance of BBQ and smoke. The burnt ends were a bit fatty but that’s to be expected to some extent. The brisket was very tender. I loved all the different BBQ sauces they had. So fun trying them all. The wait for the food was around 25 minutes but it was close to lunch time. I would go back again but next time I’ll try the pulled pork :)

The rib platter was absolutely delicious! The ribs were super tasty, and the sauce was very good. Everything came out incredibly fast, and the service was top-notch, with a special shoutout to my server, Sergio. The baked beans and crinkle fries were the perfect sides. I highly recommend this place for a tasty and quick meal!

Went with a group. They served us fast. Were open to customizations. I got the burnt end nachos. Portion was big for $14.99. plenty of burnt ends. Can easily serve 2 people. Very clean restaurant. Customer service was amazing. Have a sauce bar. I like the honey glazed and sweet chipotle. You can smell their food from the parking garage 😋🤤

Not as good as Jack Stack BBQ but not terrible. The bowl with burnt beef ends was delicious and generously portioned, and the El Choppo sammich was good but really greasy. The sausages were spicy. The brisket was pretty good, moist. The waitress seemed new or just not great at her job - acted put out because we asked for a new appetizer plate since one of them in the stack was dirty. The fried cornbread wasn’t to our liking, but we’ve also never had it before so could just be us.

Not too bad for a BBQ joint in a mall. The brisket came out a little on the cold side but tasted very good. 👌🏽 fries were way too salty and the burger was ok. Beer was great as always 😂

We first came in while waiting for family so we had some cocktails. It just happened to be Happy Hour, so we were very pleased. That day we already were meeting family for dinner so didn't eat. But we came back, and tried the food. First the location is great, right in Crown Center. Parking is available in the structure or on the street. Just know you can validate parking. Depending on where or what you do you can get 2 hours or if you spent I think $50 or more you get 6 hours. The service was great, our server was very knowledgeable and nice. The food was phenomenal! Very flavorful and juicy. The rib meat would just fall off. Tough we're not locals, we live in Atlanta. But if we're ever back we'll definitely come back.

Stopped in for a cocktail during happy hour and so glad we did. We ordered the cornbread bites on the earlybird menu for six dollars, and they were amazing, I couldn't stop eating them. We also ordered the raspberry Cosmo and they were prepared perfectly. We sat at the bar the bartender was kind, and the service was exceptional. Unfortunately, we did not stay for dinner, so I'm not sure how the food was. They did have a takeout area, which was a nice touch or you can sit and dine in the restaurant.

I am so glad I ate here during my trip to Kansas City! The burnt ends sandwich was my favorite. Their fries were so crispy! They have 4 sauces to choose from. You must try their 'Fire' barbecue sauce, exceptional! It's very bright and warm inside with the glass ceiling. Their booths are large and comfortable. The Bloody Mary wasn't my favorite but the garnishing was great.

I stopped in on National Burnt Ends Day this past Monday afternoon 9/1/25 after visiting the Museum of BBQ one floor above in Crown Center. I was sort of expecting a special or some sort of recognition of the day since Burnt End is in the name, but nope they didn't have a clue. When I arrived, i waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign for ever without acknowledgment. I finally made eye contact with a barback behind the bar and motioned that I was going to sit at the empty bar in a nearly empty restaurant. I was given a drink, menu and my order was taken quickly and then my Burnt Ends Bowl was delivered promptly. A nice choice that I had on an earlier visit. Six chunks of wonderfully prepared burnt ends and chunks of cornbread served over a bed of baked beans with onion straws. An above average offering although the price point is a bit high for the quantity of meat. After my food was dropped off it was "ignore the customers" time. Two college age girls came in and shortly after two middle aged gents all seated themselves at the bar. About 10 minutes later someone emerged from the kitchen giving the girls a menu and completely ignored the gentlemen from out of town. They went to the hostess stand and got themselves a menu while we made small talk. Another few minutes later, the kitchen gent passes by and I flash my card so maybe someone will ring me up and I can leave and be ignored in my own home -where I don't have to pay for the experience. Another 5 minutes and my waitress emerges from the outdoor patio and asks if i'm ready; I politely replied "for quite some time" and bit my tongue on what I wanted to say. The two tourists asked me what I suggested while waiting on my check and I told them that they should order an Uber and go somewhere that cares about customer service. This is maddening at any restaurant but makes my blood boil when they are inside of Crown Center that caters to vacationers and business travelers. This pitiful lack of customer service helps to give KC a poor reputation. Burnt End BBQ, get your act together or close up shop and let a destination worthy BBQ joint that respects all of their paying customers - local and visiting - with some respect.

Decent place at crown center, plenty of seating, friendly staff decent BBQ- not the best, but solid.

Service was quick and wings came out piping hot and juicy, had good flavor but I wasn't impressed with the cookie (forgot to take a pic). Descriptions said served warm, it wasn't and was very small to be almost $4 for one.

Excellent downtown and beautiful full-service bar (as well as eatery), located in Kansas City. Super happy hour daily from 4p-6p when house Martini's and Margaritas are no more than $8. Enjoyed a scrumptious pretzel w/cheddar cheese while savoring a house Margarita (on the rocks with salt, of course).

What started off as an excursion for a snack turned into an incredible dining experience! First off, the aroma from Burnt End hits you like a warm hug, and then you see the openness and roof lighting above the bar hitting every part of the restaurant. A server quickly mentioned their Happy Hour specials and I was sold -- I wish I had tried everything listed. The barbecue is amazing, sides are amazing, and their SAUCES *chef's kiss*!!! The highlight for me was the phenomenal service, but the bartender Terrance deserves every ounce of praise I can give. His presence? Warm. Recommendations? Top-tier. He truly exemplifies what you would want to see in any restaurant and I left highly satisfied. If you're in Kansas City and haven't visited Burnt Ends yet, do yourself a favor. Go for the Happy Hour and stick around...you won't regret it. I'll be back with coworkers next time.

We came to Crown Center to see Santa tonight. We have always thought of trying this place and decided tonight was the night. Wish we didn't. It took about 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us at the hostess station to even be sat. Mind you, there were maybe 4 tables of guests when we walked in and not huge parties or anything. Finally got sat after a few minutes of her going back and forth on where to sit us. We sat for 15 minutes before we finally asked if we had a server. The lady we asked acted shocked then said she will take care of us and walked away. Then 5 minutes later a guy comes over, the same guy who walked past our table at least 8 times prior. He apologized and didn't realize we were his table apparently. We gave him the benefit of the doubt it happens. So we get our drink orders in nothing fancy just two sodas and two waters. Took a while for him to come back with them. Again, trying to be more positive and patient with it, despite us being one of maybe 6 tables now and at least 4 servers on the floor... We got the Burnt end nachos for an appetizer and they were great. We finally had to flag our server down to order our food. At this point we have been in the restaurant for 40 mins and still haven't got our food in. We ordered the sticky wings and chicken strips. The sticky wings are some of the driest, nastiest wings we have ever had. They came out wrong in the first place. They were overcooked, not all flats as we asked for and told they could do. The chicken is ok, just mediocre at best. It didn't come out with any of the sauces. The fries we asked to be extra crispy. Strangely enough the outsides were crispy insides was still raw. We will not be coming back and will not recommend this place. To be honest, I don't even understand how Crown Center shopping center is still open. The stores here are overpriced crap you can literally get ANYWHERE else for half or less. The staff at every store we went into was short, rude and just very unpleasant. We noticed this when we were here 2 weeks ago for a choir event for our oldest's school Choir. It is sad because, this place used to be enjoyable to be at.

Delicious. I could end my review there and it would tell you everything I had the burnt beef ends, pulled pork, potato salad, and creamy coleslaw. Nice size portions with choice of 3 bbq sauce at the table. The coleslaw had loads of celery seed which, personally, I love. Service was quick and friendly. They have a full bar for eating in and a nice size seating area. Separate take-out for quick pickup.

Food Review: The Burnt End at Crown Center. This place is retarded. Food was shit. Portions were for Fraggle Rockers and piss ants. Taste- zero. Prices: Manhattan Hooker. All terrible including my lemon less Lemonade. I give this place Negative 2 stars. It was just a plain ZERO until I factored in the slippery vomit pile my shoes were slip- sliding in throughout this fake ass " BBQ" meal experience. Any questions? check out my eight dollar side of baked beans. It was basically 4 tablespoons.

I almost gave this place 4 stars solely because the Old Fashioned I ordered was mostly ice, but I slowly realized I had to wake up and say to myself, "is a bbq joint. They're not known for their Old Fashions. What are you thinking?" I orders the Burnt Ends Nachos and the B.E. Raspberry Cosmo and could barely walk out of the resturant because I was so fully contented. They had a party of 30 guests and the entire resturant was PACKED. The staff was INCREDIBLE, moving quickly but calmly and courtesies to all. This place knows what they're serving and how to treat guests. Chefs kiss!

All the food came out luke warm. the burnt ends were awful. no crispy outside, melt in your mouth, deliciousness that you get from burnt ends. everything was obviously made in a microwave. burger and bacon was terrible. nothing was hot or fresh. our service was good until the end. she just gave us our check mid meal without asking if we wanted refills or anything else. it was bizarre. my boyfriend got ribs and they also weren't hot. if they came out do the fryer they should be hot. it feels like every single thing was made in a microwave. not a crisp thing on our plates. also, waited too long for drinks. just a weird experience. we were from out of town so it was a huge let down.

Located inside Crown Center it's one of the sit down local dining options and a fairly good one at that however, it's by far not any where near the best barbecue in the city. The sauce selection is really good though with a large variety of options to choose from which makes it fun to sample and dip into many different varieties. Since the name had Burnt End in it I found it fitting to order items that contained the namesake. So, on my first visit I went with the burnt end nachos and the burnt end bowl and a few sides. The nachos were pretty standard but definitely were filling and hit the mark for the price, that's another thing this place can get a tad bit expensive if you order a number of things from the menu to sample. They had a good amount of meat on them, cheese and jalapeños but not much else, in my opinion they could have benefitted from some barbecue beans added on top but overall I would order them again. The bowl on the other hand was a tad overpriced, at almost $18, and had a few flaws. Though I really enjoyed the crispy onion straws piled on top the cornbread cubes which seemed to originally be slightly crunchy became soggy layered into the bowl with the beans, sauce and meat. Also, there wasn't enough meat in the bowl, the nachos seemed to contain many more pieces of burnt ends, some of the burnt ends in the bowl were also a little fatty. But, the sides shined. The vinegar based slaw had a nice kick and was zingy and fresh, it paired well with both the nachos and the bowl. The onion rings were well fried and crunchy and it was a blast dipping them in all the different sauce options. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Burnt End BBQ but, if you're at crown center and are craving a barbecue meal then it is worth stopping by. The space itself is really beautiful with great natural light and nice big bar but, it is an order at the counter type situation which doesn't necessarily match the vibe of the restaurant.

Went to an event here and food was amazing. Best wings I've had in KC and those corn fritters!! Staff was helpful and super friendly. Loved the bar seating and having a BBQ spot at Crown Center!

Amazing! The pickle martini is a must, pairs well with burnt ends. Wings and sauce, delicious!

The workers I interacted with were great and the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the Porkinator sandwich-one of the best BBQ dishes I've ever had. Prices are competitive, contrary to what some have stated. I actually went back for dinner the same day when my friend got into town.

Been here three times and the ribs are really good side sauces are also great all around great experience each time did read up on last review and no we didn't get water refilled again oh well

My second meal here was seated at the bar in the back, and it did not compare similarly to my first meal. I deliberately went for different food and drink, and I have to say I liked my first meal better. At the bar, I was able to order a drink, which was an old fashioned. It was served with carbonated water in it. That, for me, is a big NO - flavor good, fizz bad. As my meal, I did a build-your-own bowl with two meats I hadn't had the other time, burnt ends and pulled pork, with beans and a tomato-cucumber-onion salad, and fried cornbread croutons. I don't feel the amount of food you get justified the price, and the sandwich I had earlier in the week was a better deal for the money. The burnt ends were a little bland and fatty, the pulled pork was ok, and the cucumber salad was delicious. You're on your own for silverware and napkins. There's rolls of paper towels every so often, but if you sit at the wrong spot at the bar, you either take a short walk or hope the person near the roll is either with your party or okay with you reaching by them. Silverware (forks) are on small trays on the inside edge of the bar, so you have to reach in to get one. My preference here would always be an order similar to my first one.

Staying at the Sheraton nearby and I found that Burnt End was close to the hotel. I wanted something "small" and was trying to order the kids meals online prior to walking over. The meal is listed as a one meat sandwich but the online form doesn't give you an option to choose a meat. I called the store and didn't get an answer so I just decided to walk over. Upon arrival it wasn't busy at all. Only two other customers were waiting for takeout. The man who helped me was very nice and answered the menu questions I had. Online, the side options didn't include Mac and cheese so I'm glad I came in because I was able to order a turkey sandwich with mac and cheese and a side of fried cornbread. After placing my order I was a little concerned because you can see the food station and the cornbread bites and fries sat out under a hot lamp and looked like they had been there for quite some time. The fries only had about 10 left in the pan but thankfully I didn't order those. A server was making a plate of nachos and he said the cheese was thicker than usual. I immediately just started thinking my food is going to be cold and I would be disappointed. Thankfully, when my food was ready it came from the back. The sandwich and mac & cheese were hot, and surprisingly the cornbread bites were warm. I paid $14 for my order. I got the kids meal turkey sandwich, Mac and cheese as the side plus 1 additional side of cornbread. It was the perfect amount of food for me. I walked back to the hotel with my meal. It was very good. The bun was warm and soft, Turkey was good, I added some bbq sauce to the sandwich for flavor, Mac was creamy and cheesy and the cornbread was sweet, crunchy and soft at the same time. I enjoyed my meal and will come back if I'm staying nearby again.

Was recommended by a co worker. I was happy that they had turkey because I don't eat pork or beef. I ordered the turkey sandwich and my side being the fried honey butter cornbread. It was delicious. I also used their bold and spicy bbq sauce, mannnn. Game changer. The service was fast and the cashier was welcoming and kind.

Our server, Tabby, deserves 5 stars!!! She was amazingly patient while we asked a bunch of questions and needed separate checks. We all got the burnt ends and they were very good. It was pouring rain outside, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I can imagine it's hopping on the weekend when the weather's good. We'll be back!

I thought it was pretty decent for mall food, so to speak. Now I must give the disclaimer that I am not from Kansas City like my husband is, and therefore don't quite have the same ability to rate bbq like he does. He probably would only give it 2-3 stars. I enjoyed my burnt ends bowl. The corn bread bites weren't as amazing as I'd pictured, and the meat was a little salty (which is something I rarely complain about about), but I thought all-in-all the bowl was tasty. My husbands burnt ends sandwich was a little smaller than we'd expected and he said it was only OK. We did enjoy sitting out in the patio. Mom POV: it worked out well to have baby boy in the stroller while we ate. And there is a family restroom with a changing station a little bit down from the restaurant in the mall.

Absolutely the worst experience! It took over 20 minutes for the server to arrive at our table and Apx 45-60 mins to get our food. The service is horrible and the food is just okay, very greasy. No one checked on us for refills and our food arrived late and cold.

Food is good and delicious , service is fast and its clean restaurant. Servings are decent.

We were in Kansas City for the Hallmark Christmas Experience at the Crown Center. We had an early dinner at the Burnt End. We had to wait about 15 min. at 3pm. I had El Choppo which was chopped beef, pulled pork, provolone, onion straws on a hogie. I tried their original BBQ sauce on it. It also came with pickles. The sandwich was very good and i would recommend it. My wife enjoyed her plain Smashburger. Nice atmosphere, very busy place at the Crown Center.

I was so excited that I could order just burnt ends!! I ordered 1/2 lb of burnt ends to go and ALL of them were fat! I paid $18 for burnt fat! I was so very disappointed

A couple of weeks ago I visited the KC area, that time I stayed in Leawood and I wanted to visit the Burnt End BBQ, attempting to go twice in two days, but they weren't open. I called and found out they were in the process of closing that location... So... When visiting downtown KC, MO a couple of weeks later there was a location there, which I went to with a co-worker for lunch. We sat at the bar and the bartender working the bar was great! He was engaging, friendly, and very helpful with the menu. He suggested trying the burnt ends, which we both did. The food was had was great! The sausage had a nice flavor, definitely decent smoke! But those burnt ends were great! Still moist and loaded with flavor! I really enjoyed the cole slaw as a side, but the beans were great! He also brought me some samples of their fried cornbread bites, which was soft and very flavorful! All of their sauces were also great! Overall, definitely enjoyed this visit and it re-affirmed why KC is one of the top BBQ towns in the US!

The food was good! I wish the sandwich had more BBQ sauce on it. But other than that, it was pretty tasty. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the service. My waiter was fine & patient with me while I was picking my food. It was another employee's comment that irritated me. I asked for a water cup & he grabbed it & stated "here, make sure you only get water, eh". Now I typically would not get offended, but the way he said it & then laughed with his coworkers didn't sit right with me. I probably would not go back to that location.

Really wanted to love this place...but the food was dreadful. The brisket is definitely not smoked and completely flavorless. The onion ring appetizer is literally 4 onion rings. The burnt ends were sitting in a pool of fat. Food eventually arrived - stone cold - but there was no sign of drinks....finally got up to ask about them and they'd been sitting forgotten at the bar. I'd pass.

First of all GREAT service! We sat at the bar and the bar tender had many tables and did a great job with everything. The food was good and ample serving size. They had a good variety from bbq to burgers to salad. Good location close to the ice skating, union station, and crown plaza.

First, I told the host that I wanted to sit at the bar and she just waved her hand in that direction without looking at me, which I thought was kind of unprofessional. Second, I was seated at the bar for 15 minutes while I watched the bartender wait on everyone else at the bar and chat with co-workers. She looked over at me 4 times and just kept walking by. Not one "Be right with you" or anything, then she proceeded to check her phone and do some other "busy work" behind the bar. Love the food but restaurant/bar service on this particular day sucks. No one on staff was smiling and they looked annoyed at every customer that walked in. As I got up to leave, I asked the host if there was a bartender around, and I was met with a "Somewhere." Wow. After traveling from Minneapolis for the Irish Fair the past couple years, it's one of the places that I was looking forward to eating at. I ended up at a different place with better service.

Is this the best BBQ in Kansas City? No. But is it pretty solid? I'd say so. It's also located right in the mall, so it's pretty convenient. I sat at the bar and the restaurant was pretty empty, so I got my food quickly. The restaurant is pretty typical looking, nothing especially interesting or fancy. I know "Burnt End" is in the name, but I decided to go with the Pig Out Bowl. Let me tell you, the bowl is pretty heavy. The pork itself was cooked nicely and was juicy. However, the cornbread croutons and onion straws were a bit much for my liking. I was hoping for a side of spinach or other mixed greens, which they didn't have, but the waitress was kind enough to serve me a bowl of iceberg lettuce, free of charge. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this place, but it's a good option if you're staying at the Westin.

Great location in the Crown Center Food Court but with it's own dining area. Inside was clean and bright....not your usual BBQ place. Service was friendly but a bit spotty. The waiter seemed to have too many tables. Drinks only refilled once during the meal. He seemed to be attentive just serving too many people. He had two large groups and a couple of other tables. Brisket had a good taste. I asked for as lean as possible and it appeared that some fat had been trimmed...... could have been better, but I'm picky and that's an easy to spot thing. Overall I would try it again because the food was good and the portion size was okay especially for a lunch.

A bunch of my friends and I ate at Burnt End BBQ Crown Center today. The burnt end sandwich was decent. The sauces were good. Fries were hot and crispy. But the service was probably the worst I have had in 2025! We waited 1/2 hour for our server to take our order. We waited over a 1/2 hour for our food to come out. It took us 1/2 hour to eat. Then we had to wait 1/2 hour plus to get our checks. Some of us needed to get back to work. It took so long, my 2 hour parking validation expired. So, to add insult to injury, I had to pay an additional $7.00 just to get out of the parking garage. Average food. Horrible service. Over priced.

As I travel for work, I am always inclined to try places that serve food that the city is known for.. BBQ it was here in Kansas City. I love some burnt ends and what do you know.. there is a restaurant named as such! I had a burnt ends bowl with cornbread bites. This bowl was the right amount of sweet and savory! I promise you will get full eating this bowl. I sat at the bar and of course watched some baseball (Go Yankees!). The atmosphere was clean and welcoming and the staff were very attentive. I definitely will be back here to try another dish because the flavor is definitely in this BBQ spot with or without the sauce .

Food was ok but something tells me I can find better while in town. I enjoyed the burnt ends. They were meaty and sauce was pretty good. This place was good, I haven't really ever had not dry bbq so I've never had good bbq. But this one was good and had a very decent price for drinks and the food as well actually. I only deducted a star because my food was last to come out in a party of 6 and the waitress didn't come check on us so a couple guys had empty cups for a while. The place maybe had 2 other people there so I didn't think it was going to be good but it was. They do have military discount

Excellent food and atmosphere. Very unique place with a view of Crown Center. The burnt ends bowl is awesome. They also have great burgers.

I arrived about 7:15 p.m., about 45 minutes before close. It was not crowded. I sat at the bar, and my server was really attentive and consistent in filling up my drink. I ordered the 2-meat platter with burnt ends, ribs, and my sides as potato salad and cornbread bites. Everything was good except for the ribs. I was disappointed in those; I saw another review that pointed to insufficient meat on them, and I'd agree. Portion size of everything was good.

It was my first time going, my husband had been here a few times and knew exactly what to order. Here are my highlights below I ordered the burnt end bowl that had a bed of baked beans with fried cornbread bites, burnt ends that were so tender, topped with crispy onions. My husband ordered the burnt end burger which he gets every time he visits this spot! I loved that our booth seat overlook the fountains at Crown Center. They also have a really great patio and bar area. Absolutely loved the burnt ends, make sure you order them when you come! They also have a grab and go ordering that the front of the restaurant. Burnt End Bbq has two locations, one Crown center and one in Overland Park, Kansas.

Never knew I liked barbecue. Have to say this was my favorite of all the places we visited in Kansas City. Had to buy a couple bottles of their barbecue sauce. We'll definitely be going again!

I'm working the KC Irish Festival the last few years, and this is my daily lunch spot. Great food. Service is normally very good. It's a sports bar, so typical. I do enjoy coming here....

I'll let you guess what meat I tried. Hint: look at the restaurant's name. I enjoyed Burnt End BBQ at Crown Center. They had a limited menu but the place was clean and roomy. They had outdoor dining and a huge bar area. My wife and I ate here right after visiting the KC BBQ Museum a few doors down. I guess we had a craving. Anyway, the food was great and the sauce was too. A tad skimpy and expensive. I liked the burnt ends and the beans. The service wasn't too great. The waitress took our order, someone else brought out the food and refilled our drinks, we never saw her again until the check came. We had to wait forever to get it taken care of. I don't know if it was a bad time of day or what but we weren't happy and didn't give a very big tip. The food was good, the dining room was nice but the service stunk. I'd still recommend it though.

We stopped here for lunch during the Christmas holidays and sat at the bar. They were definitely busy and doing their best to keep up with everything. The food was good, but personally I struggle to pay $18.50 for a burger. I'm sure we will give them another try during a less hectic time and I will check out the rest of the menu. They do have a nice set up overlooking the courtyard area and we were able to enjoy watching a holiday bike ride filled with santas, reindeer and tons of other festive costumes!

I ordered 3 appetizers "to go". The onion rings were ok. At least 1/2 seemed to be fried a 2nd time. They were darker brown & over cooked. The baked potato salad was packaged in its own container and then placed inside the onion ring container. The salad was all melted and resembled potato soup. The corn muffins bites were good. The accompanying butter was placed inside the same container & was completely melted. I emailed the manager & he was very responsive. He offered to refund my payment. I found it interesting though--in all of our conversation back/forth, he never once apologized for his staff.

While they were very accommodating seating a group of 12, the food was not great. Tough, hard to chew barbecue that didn't seem to be their most recent batch. Very good food on previous visits but not worth the money this time

I ordered the wings, they sent out 6 flats. The sauce, spicy southwestern, was super sweet. I had it with a side of cucumber and tomato salad. The cut up veggies were on top of a little Italian dressing, not marinated in it like I'm used to. My husband ordered the two meat meal, burnt ends and sausage link, Mac and cheese and beans. He enjoyed the beans. The Mac and cheese didn't have much flavor. The sausage link was cut up and wasn't anything special. He said the burnt ends were okay, but were pretty fatty, plus you could taste liquid smoke. Two of our cousins ordered bowls and they liked them, but said all the food in the bowl tasted the same. Our waiter was nice, kind of a loud atmosphere. The food took quite a while to come out. We thought that was strange cause... it is bbq and everything is usually made ahead.
