"This smart, stylish restaurant is open from lunch until late, and is the kind of place where you can just pop in for a few small plates or while away the whole evening with dinner and cocktails. Colourful Middle Eastern dishes make good use of the wood-burning oven and are designed for sharing." - Michelin Inspector

Really tasty food, quality is definitely there. Small plates make it fun to experience numerous dishes at one visit. Attentive and kind service, cosy yet spacious interior. Very pleased to have Burnt Orange in Brighton lanes, as there aren't that many good places to eat here.

The most amazing dining experience we have ever had. We decided to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary here and we weren’t disappointed. We went with the spring experience menu and everything tasted delicious, flavoursome and moreish. We definitely recommend this place!

Wow, just wow! This is a must visit. One of my favourite restaurants to date - can’t recommend this highly enough! This is a sharing platter style restaurant which means it gets pricey but worth every penny. They have a great value experience menu or you can go for a la carte. They had a dry January cocktail list too. Good variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. The calamari was delicious and the tandoori apricot cauliflower was the best cauliflower dish I’ve had. I also recommend the mango sauce sea bass. The best food I’ve had in a long while, really really impressed. The service is brilliant from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is warm, it’s well decorated, and just a lovely environment for a lovely meal. They’re brilliant with allergies, happy to adapt dishes. The meat is not halal but there is more than enough veggie / fish options.

We chose Burnt Orange to celebrate our first Wedding Anniversary. We had high expectations for our lunch and were certainly not disappointed. The atmosphere was bustling, the staff were very knowledgeable and upbeat. The food served was out of this world. Everything was delicious. We recommend their experience menu at £37pp. You get a taste of mostly everything (meat and veggie options available) and factoring the cost, we found it was good value than our experience at the Ivy. Experience for two plus an alcoholic beverage each came to just over £100. Usually this price is steep for us, hence we saved it for a special occasion, but for the atmosphere and taste of the food, it was worth it if you can afford the extravagance. For the same price, skip the Ivy and go Burnt Orange!

Had a great night, the service was quick, I wish I knew the name of the waitress that served us, her recommendations were incredible she was also so so friendly, just made our time so much better. The food was amazing, all small plates but honestly I left more than satisfied, I would recommend the smoked miso aubergine, I have never tasted something so good, the pork neck was also really tender. I will definitely come back to try more of the dishes!

We had no reservation but walked in and managed to get a seat on the terrace and enjoy the tasting menu. We were rushed for time but the experience was 10/10 - service with a smile and the food was chefs kiss. I still dream of the smoked aubergine, lamb cigars and sesame flatbread 🙌🏾 HIGHLY recommend you try the tasting menu, couldn’t fault anything we were served, if I lived in Brighton, I’d live in this restaurant! 😂

Have been meaning to try Burnt Orange for a while and was lucky enough to finally try it for a birthday celebration. Lots of flavorful dishes. Standouts were the lamb chops and cauliflower. The only dish I didn’t like was the shirazi cucumber salad because it didn’t taste fresh at all. The cucumber was soggy when it should have been crunchy and fresh. Cocktails were good. We were unfortunately kicked off our table and moved to the bar because of the table time limit. Atmosphere, ambience and service were pleasant.

Quite simply, wonderful! My friends took me for my birthday and although they have been several times, it was my first time at Burnt Orange. Staff are wonderful. Great menu, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The Experience Menu, for someone who hasn’t been before, is a great way to see what the place is about and how amazing their food is. Absolutely will be back.
