Burrata House Review - Downtown LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"It’s hard to screw up burrata, and the menu at Burrata House - a small stall in Grand Central Market - doesn’t. The cheese is creamy, and pairs well with the seasonal tomatoes in the Caprese Bowl, but when there are so many other interesting spots within (literally) 12 feet of you, this is a place you can skip." - Brett Keating

The classic sandwich with prosciutto and burrata was perfect. I was most impressed by the per perfect amount of olive oil that they put on the ciabatta bread. Crystal made it perfectly in no time at all. It was incredibly delicious. Next time I want to try the bresaola. It was also the perfect size

I’ve had truffle cream pasta at many different places because I love it, but this was by far the worst truffle cream pasta I’ve ever had. As soon as I opened the lid, it didn’t smell like truffle at all—instead, it had a weird dishcloth smell. Despite being a cream-based pasta, there was barely any sauce, nothing like the photos. Even though I live just four minutes away and the delivery was quick, the noodles were way too hard. I haven’t tried the other dishes, but if you’re thinking about ordering the truffle cream pasta, don’t.

As a French I was looking for tasty burrata. This place serves delicious authentic homemade Italian sandwiches! Really enjoyed the conversation with the Italian owner too

Google
Tasty but pricey. Definitely worth the cost with the quality, amazing taste, well balanced, and super friendly staff. The pesto pasta was delicious but I think the pesto can use a little more of it's own flavor to compliment the burrata more, but overall still really good. The Umbro Panini is perfectly balanced all around and generally just amazing, 10/10 would recommend as long as you know it's a bit pricey

Google
Well priced for a good serving, simple menu, delicious pasta with fresh ingredients.

Everything burrata!! Clean place. Free parking lot. My server was very very nice!! She looks happily working despite it’s holiday time. Food is delicious. I love the truffle panini. Cold dish is more like a starter than a main.

Google
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! If you enjoy Burrata, you definitely need to give this place a try! It’s a small shop and great for Togo orders. The service is fast and friendly and so many delicious burrata options! I ordered the BH-OLOGNESE pasta and the Prosciutto Panini and both were so fresh, flavorful, and delicious! They use quality ingredients at an extremely fair price! Highly recommend checking out this place to fulfill your burrata cravings!

Yelp
I'm a sucker for paninis and a sucker for burrata so this shop was a natural for me. They also have pasta but their bread and butter, so to speak, are sandwiches. (I sampled the pasta and it was fine.) I went to the "Palms" location (near Culver City) and it's just a small shop in a little strip mall. Thankfully, they share free parking with some other business in their own lot. You order on a tablet when you walk in. You can pick from one of their sandwich creations or you can make your own sandwich. I went with the Classic Prosciutto and Burrata Panino (I was today years old when I learned that "panino" is the singular form of "panini") and it was terrific. It comes with arugula and tomatoes and, of course, a big chunk of burrata. If you like burrata (and if you don't, I may not like you very much), it is amazingly fresh and soft. The bread is also fantastic. You cannot go wrong with this sandwich. I also sampled a "build your own" panino which came with fennel sausage and here's a hot tip: whatever panino you get, ADD that fennel sausage. It is absolutely delicious. I could eat that for every meal of my shortened life and be very happy. There are a few seats inside and a couple of tables outside but I would say 95% of everyone orders online and/or gets their food to go. We ordered on the tablet and waited about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad. Creamy, fresh burrata on a panino: so good. This place made me very, very happy.

Yelp
Great little sandwich and pasta shop. We got the classic and Calabrian salame sandwiches. The classic was yummy and the Calabrian had quite a kick to it. Next time I wanna try their pasta. There is free parking in the lot too!

Yelp
Burrata--a fresh Italian cheese known for its creamy and luxurious texture--is a true delight. Its mild, milky, and slightly tangy flavor, paired with its firmer outer shell and oozy interior, is nothing short of indulgent. And oh, how divine it was when hugged between a toasted panini bun and paired with delectable sauces, fresh veggies, and savory poultry slices. At least, that was my experience when I recently tried the Spicy Smoked Turkey and Burrata Panini at the Palms location! I've driven by this spot countless times, always curious but hesitant due to the tricky location--it's not the easiest place to access depending on your direction. On this day, I actually drove past it before deciding to turn back. I'm so glad I did! The menu was brimming with tempting options--paninis, salads, salad bowls, and pasta. It was tough to decide, but I ultimately chose the Smoked Turkey Panini. What a fantastic choice! The soft, creamy burrata melded perfectly with the spicy kick of Calabrian chili, fresh and crunchy rapini, and the savory smoked turkey. Every bite was satisfying and pleasing to my taste palate, a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The guy on shift was super nice, and so were the other customers waiting for their orders--it added to the positive vibe of the place. Although I wish Burrata House would locate to a more convenient spot in or near Culver City, I'm already looking forward to a return visit to this location. If you're a fan of burrata or just great food in general, do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Yelp
5 stars for the sandwiches and salads... pasta is decent but I wouldn't necessarily order it again. Prices are really reasonable and ingredients are fresh. I ordered delivery so I can't speak to the ambience of the restaurant but the way that they have packaged the food for delivery is well done and visually appealing! I appreciate when restaurants go above and beyond to provide this level of service on delivery. Price is a pretty good value for what you also get.

Yelp
For the lovers of all things cheesy & fast, this should be your next go-to We went with all the angles with a hearty salad, an on-the-go sando, and thick & filling pasta with one thing in common: BURRATTA, a gooey cheese that melts right into their dishes. They do it, and they do it well FOOD: Prosciutto & Burrata Bowl Bresaola Panini Bolognese Burrata Pasta

Yelp
4+ this spot specializes in sandwiches, pasta, and salads. Not sure if it needs to be mentioned, but yes, you have the option of adding burrata to any of these items. The space itself is pretty small and it's located in a pretty tight strip ball in West LA/Palms. Thursday, a few seats to dine in there, but I think this place is more conducive to take out. I came here because it was my turn to order for a group of us. One of our favorite shows was on that evening and we take turns ordering for the group. I put in my order online, which was pretty easy to use. I came by and picked up the food right at the time I scheduled it for and that was that. Really straightforward process and user-friendly. I personally ordered the smoked salmon sandwich with burrata. I thought it was really tasty and the bread was really good. Other folks in my group ordered some other sandwiches and pasta. Everything looked pretty good and everybody was happy which is a huge plus.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. - The burrata was so creamy!!! The skin was really thin and had a great creamy texture. - Salad dressing was delicious and not overly salty. - Arugula was fresh. Tomatoes were bursting with flavor. Service was quick. Pretty hard to open the burrata package! Had to use a plastic knife to puncture the hole! Definitely be back if I am in the area.

Yelp
I've never seen such bad service at a restaurant before. The service is truly awful, and a dark-skinned male employee was very rude. I will never come here again and do not recommend it.

Yelp

Yelp
The food here is very delicious. I will return here again to try out there other paninis. It was very pleasant and enjoyable. Classic Prosciutto: Nice bread slathered with garlic butter. The burrata is nice and light and complements beautifully with the arugula and meat. Arrabiata: I don't think there was much protein if there was any but this was still very delicious. Super spicy the spiciness makes this dish actually fun. I recommend asking for pepper on the side and sprinkling a lot on to add more smokiness to the pasta. It is even more elevated with a lot of pepper.

Yelp
This isn't my first time trying Burrata House and it won't be my last. I crave their paninis when I want a cheese in a sandwich that tastes fresh, creamy but not overpowering. Their online ordering system is convenient and I saw they have a deal for $7 off for first time online orderers. My fave is the truffle parma; the truffle pairs so nicely with the burrata and prosciutto.

Yelp
The sandwich is so yummy and I wished there's one closer to my house. Must get one with their burrata cheese, chili spread and fig jam. Amazing!!

Yelp
Me and my friends were so happy to find this place! A yummy burrata place with delicious panini sandwiches and fresh burrata. I really enjoyed the paninis, the classic one was a good choice but I personally really liked the calabrian salame panini. It was so good fresh out of the kitchen and had a good small kick to the flavor. Really liked the eggplant in this!! I would pass on the pesto next time, it looked so good but I thought it liked in flavor a bit. Very fresh pesto though! Food came out fast, ordering was easy with the kiosk with descriptions of everything. The workers were also super nice and let us move a table in to eat inside. Excited to come back again, the paninis hit!

Yelp
Eh, we didn't love it. Too expensive for size of sandwiches. Also, bread did not taste fresh, sandwiches were bland, had to add salt and pepper and still did not love the taste. Always wanted to check this place out, but really hoping it would be better, would not return.
google avatar

Garick C.

Yelp
The guy making my sandwich was nice and friendly so he gets a star, maybe he's the best redeeming quality for this place? Otherwise, I shouldn't feel hungry after paying $18 for a sandwich though. Sandwich itself was fine, nothing particularly special, just not worth $18 and thought I should have gotten more actual burrata cheese as what I see in photos. Won't be coming here again.

Yelp
Simple Italian food starring the fresh, stretchy cousin of mozzarella: Burrata. Burrata House sources their cheese from an Italian company called Di Stefano. The menu is concise and reasonably priced, including panini, bowls, pastas, and more. They currently have 4 locations in LA. This one, in west LA, has no seating. Takeaway only. The Caprese Panini was disappointing. It had no flavor whatsoever (not even salt, or pepper). The tomato was ice cold and underripe, and the bread dry and mealy. The only enjoyable aspect of the sandwich was the burrata, which I wished there was more of. The Pesto Pasta was downright bad, tasting of old rancid olive oil and bitter herbs. It seemed to be several days old, reminiscent of something you'd find in a neglected Vons deli section. The guy working was nice, but yeah. I have no idea how this place has such good reviews.

Yelp
I've been meaning to go here for the longest time and today I finally did. I was greeted by Jesse who's a super nice dude. Told him I knew what I wanted and ordered the Prosciutto Panini. He was also the one who made it and it was absolutely delicious. I'm already a huge Burrata fan so this was an awesome experience. Not a ton of space inside to eat but there's some counter space with 4 or 5 stools. I'm already looking forward to going back and trying more items!

Yelp
I love these restaurants. Ever since my first one in Beverly hills, I've been hooked. The cheese just melts in your mouth. And it the right amount of saltiness with the Positito. I should stop by again. But the owner at the Beverly hills chain is pretty cute. Lol

Yelp
Mmm mmm! Came in based off of others reviews. Love a good caprese. This was super tasty, just what I was looking for. The menu does a great job explaining what these paninis are all about. Khalil helped me, I told him it was my first time and he was super dope about walking me thru the menu. I ordered the burata caprese with added prosciutto. Delicious.

Yelp
Decided to check out the Barbara house in palms after a long hike. The shop is small and doesn't have much room to eat inside/outside other than a few tables. My sandwich was good and was made to order, however, the staff never acknowledged us at all. we ordered on an iPad and workers had AirPods in and didn't even bother to look up or say hello. Like I said, my sandwich was good, but based on the prices, limited seating, tight parking lot, and service, I probably wouldn't go back. If you live in the area though, you should check it out.

Yelp
Molto delizioso! I lived years in Italia (Terracina) - and the south of the country has CHANGED the way I look at a good burrata. I was spoiled out there with the freshest, most flavorful, and divinest burrata in the world. Now that I'm primarily based in the USA, it had been a failed mission to scour for an authentic taste of the addiction I had no supply to. Much to my pleasure, I FINALLY found my fixation at the Burrata house! Creamy, velvety, subtle, yet decadent. Bravo! Grazie mille, amori! Side note - I added 3 extra burrata, on their own, as a side and have finished two just minutes after polishing off my panini.

Yelp
Great food as always but all the workers seem depressed. I know it's just a job but when I'm ordering sandwich and asking questions they put me in depression and I start to think about my life when I'm eating my delicious sandwich .

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place. What a disappointment. I ordered the classic prosciutto and burrata sandwich. It was so dry and flavorless. What a sad experience. There was no drizzle of olive oil, or maybe a sprinkle of sea salt. Balsamic glaze I know is too much to ask. But at least some olive oil? Just a sad experience. The prosciutto was nice, but the burrata was "dry" and not rich and creamy like it should be. The bread also didn't taste fresh. What a flop.
google avatar

Andy S.

Yelp
The paninis aren't pressed like actual paninis, so don't be mislead. I don't understand the hype around this place, extremely disappointing- none of the "paninis" have any flavor at all, the truffle Parma I got literally just tasted like truffle salt, which is disappointingly reductive. My girl got the salami one and that one has a remote sense of flavor but again, nothing has flavor here. The bolognese pasta literally tastes like chef boy arde out of the can. None of this tastes like authentic Italian food. Overpriced mediocrity.

Yelp
Restaurant: Burrata House is a deli like restaurant in Culver City offering sandwiches, pastas, and more. It is a counter service joint (ordering at the counter and then either receiving your at a table or take out). Surprisingly open for late night !! Ambiance: Located in a strip mall, offers indoor and outdoor seating. Parking: Located right in front of a parking lot and was easy. Food: Great! Pastas and sandwiches at a reasonable price. Would recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
There was nothing enjoyable about this experience, small place , no sitting, overpriced sandwiches, the sandwich itself was not worth the premium expect to pay 16+ , I tried it so you don't have to !

Marley F.

Yelp
Wonderful food! What a find I had driven by this place a hundred times and once I gave it a go the only thing is I wish I tried it sooner
google avatar

Yelp
Lets keep yelp!!! True rating 4.5 . The Panini 5/5 & the pesto pasta 4/5. This was my first time trying a Burrata Panini and it did not disappoint. The taste was simple & familiar but really really well executed. I was not expecting the burrata(cheese) to be so creamy and chewy and savory. The ciabatta bread was nice and buttery and the costar of this sandwich. The other ingredients were just as good and made the panini work very well. Highly recommend and i'll be back to try the other paninis. The pesto pasta was recommended and pretty good but not something I would pay $13 for again. The other pasta options did looks good.
google avatar

Muhammad A.

Yelp
Parking was easy when I went, and the staff was friendly. I ordered a panini with burrata. The burrata is prepackaged and could use more seasoning. The sandwich was filling; however, it is quite expensive.
google avatar

Krissy B.

Yelp
Get 'em burrata, not flowers. The burrata here is so fresh and soft. I got the prosciutto panini and my friend got the tomato and basil pasta. Both were really good. I liked how the panini was really fresh and light and it didn't make me feel super full. We also got the tiramisu at the end and it was just as delicious. I think they even used lady fingers which I don't see a lot. This place is more of a togo place. They have limited seating inside-its just a really small bar with 4-5 stools. They have about 3-4 small barstool tables outside that can accommodate 2-3 people each table. They have a small parking lot and when we went on a Monday afternoon, we had no trouble finding parking. Overall, check this place out!
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
Overpriced for so-so quality. Bolognese pasta had hardly any meat and doesn't even come with burrata (which is the name of the place!!) unless you pay $4 more. Not much better than store bought pasta. Mediocre and disappointing.
google avatar

Anthony H.

Yelp
This was a really fun place to try out because I was looking for a light sandwich for lunch. Plenty of parking with fast and friendly service. I ordered the prosciutto and the smoked salmon paninis. They were both pretty tasty, but there was just too much bread for my liking. Additionally, it could have used some seasoning because all you really tasted was a mouthful of bread (with olive oil drizzled on) and some prosciutto/smoked salmon. Th veggies were fresh and crisp and added a nice texture. Overall, its a decent spot for a light lunch.
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
Small corner to-go spot with no frills. It's a to-go counter (with a few stools inside) with a couple of employees. They toast the bread but don't press it, which is fine; however, this causes the ingredients not to meld together. It felt like a sandwich I could've made at home rather than pay $15+. The pasta I saw being brought out were small and didn't appear to have enough sauce. Everything was unremarkable.
google avatar

Camelia N.

Yelp
Burrata house was definitely a fun spot to try in LA! We got the sandwich and the pasta. Sandwich was 100% worth it, fresh bread and ingredients, and burrata melted perfectly in your mouth. Pasta was a large portion and a generous amount of burrata. Personally the pasta could of had more sauce and been hearty. Overall good eat, would recommend to split the pasta and the sandwich definitely I will come back for!!
google avatar

Abida D.

Yelp
The cutest little Italian place perfect for all burrata lovers! Stumbled upon this place after work with my friend and we shared a pesto pasta and salmon panini. The cold burrata went perfectly with everything. The worker was so nice as well. It was pretty chilly outside and he brought in an outside table for us to sit and eat. So kind, can't wait to stop by again soon!
google avatar

Tim H.

Yelp
Was really looking forward to trying this place since often times pictures don't do justice. Private parking lot for easy parking and outdoor hightops for eating - Prosciutto panini was good but the bread wasn't my fav =( - Signature Pesto pasta was okay but just wasn't "wow" for me Thank you again Burrata House

Flower F.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE - I mean c'mon, they're called BURRATA House, how can they not be perfect? Sandwiches are great and so are the salads. Literally get anything, you will have a good time!!
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Hidden in a small plaza is Burrata house. Menus are both inside and outside of the store, but orders are taken at the counter indoors. The dishes are delicious, especially with the melty Burrata cheese, but the portions are a bit small given the price point. The burrata comes prepackaged in individual containers, which they open and place onto the sandwich or pasta. There's free parking in the plaza lot and a clean bathroom in the back of the store.
google avatar

Alex M. ..

Yelp
Gooey, creamy goodness pouring out of crunchy bread dripping all over your mouth and hands. who doesn't want this experience?!? never actually tried Burrata before this sandwich so I was looking forward to that first bite. So tender and just oozed out of each half. Every bite packed with flavor. the pesto had a great nutty, herbaceous finish. The ciabatta was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside...exactly what you want in a sandwich. can't wait to come back and try more.
google avatar

Jose G.

Yelp
Was hungry and needed a late night dish - this place was definitely it! Small place and easy to miss, but the food doesn't miss! Went with the turkey and the Bh-olognese. Turkey was fire and definitely recommend. Pasta was a little dry, not that much sauce, but after adding the burrata made it much better. Maybe ask for a little extra sauce, but still good! It was late night, but the service was still good.
google avatar

Isabel B.

Yelp
Came here when I was visiting some friends in Culver City and we were trying to figure out a place to grab lunch. Saw the awesome reviews on yelp and decided we needed to give it a try. Definitely did not disappoint!! The prices were a bit high for that bodega feel but you can best bet that this is going towards the quality of their ingredients. Pesto Pasta was delicious, tasted very authentic and of course the signature burrata was amazing! So soft and decadent, perfect amount of saltiness. We loved it!
google avatar

Miles S.

Yelp
Fluffy burrata cheese placed on top of soft pesto noodles or squeezed in prosciutto Panini's. Quick service and authentic drink options, everything with full-bodied flavor. Great spot to grab a quick bite or to pick up and take on the go. Some of the freshest Italian classics LA has to offer.
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
We enjoyed the sandwiches, salad, as well as the pasta here. Service was great, and the prices are fair. Food was made to order quickly and ordering from their website was a breeze. The bread is the highlight here, as is the burrata. Excellent dining option in the area, worth checking out!
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Wow!!! I would give this place 10 stars. This is quality and authentic Italian subs and pasta. We ordered their signature sub Prosciutto Panini and the Bolognese Pasta. There are dinning tables outside and a counter top inside. The pasta was my fave so tasty, definitely going back for more. Great customer service, very friendly and attentive.

Rita A.

Yelp
We got the Pomodoro Pasta and after taking my first bite I immediately knew it was jarred sauce, which I confirmed. Actually I think it was just a jarred or canned pizza sauce. I did however like the Truffle Parma Burrata Panini. I'm giving 2 stars because staff was professional and courteous. This is a first and last.
google avatar

Justin C.

Yelp
Ordered a "build your own" sandwich and mixed greens side salad. The sandwich was the equivalent of the Classic Prosciutto & Burrata, with added olive tapenade. I don't understand why I wasn't allowed to just add the tapenade to the Classic but . With 15% tip it came out to roughly $26 The sandwich was definitely good, but it didn't wow me. I feel for a similar price or less I could make my own or get a similar one from Erewhon. Would be willing to try it again.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
It's a fairly small restaurant with primarily outdoor seating, I'd say this is more of a take-out spot. Pasta itself is about $15-18, adding Burrata on top is additional $2, I added bread to mine for additional ~$3 and it made all the difference! There's parking in front of the restaurant, and service was fast. I'd say this place is worth the hype
google avatar

Celine K.

Yelp
I ordered the classic prosciutto and burrata panini and it was delicious. I would love to come back and order the other paninis because they all looked really good!
google avatar

Joyce I.

Yelp
I loveee burrata so this was super delicious. I loved my prosciutto panini. The ratio of prosciutto to burrata was generous and perfect. The burrata is so fresh and creamy, it pairs well with the slightly bitter arugula. The bread itself isn't too tough, which I appreciated. My friend got the bolognese pasta. While this was also good, i didn't think it was anything super special. He also said he'd get the prosciutto panini next time. There's plenty of outdoor seating and it kinda looks like a random small restaurant, but don't pass it up!
