"With locations all over town, Burrito Gallery describes itself as “Jax Mex,” meaning the restaurant uses the American south and Mexican flavors to create a one-of-a-kind plate. Loaded nachos start at $9, while tacos start at $4.50. One of the more unique items is the keto-style tacos, where the shells are made with melted cheese, and patrons can pick which toppings are loaded into the cheese shells. For the best views, go to the Brooklyn location, which overlooks the St. Johns River and downtown Jacksonville." - Megan duBois

"Burrito Gallery is a local favorite for those looking for large portions and consistent flavors. With four locations around town, one is close to all the city’s prominent neighborhoods. The keto-friendly tacos stand out, where melted cheese shells get seared to golden brown perfection and filled with various proteins and toppings. Even people who don’t follow a keto diet enjoy the cheese shells — because what goes better with cheesy tacos than more cheese?" - Megan duBois

"Burrito Gallery has been a staple in Jacksonville for years due to its cheap eats, strong drinks, and enviable views of Downtown Jacksonville. The burritos here are hearty — filled with everything from ground beef to ginger teriyaki tofu — and can come topped with queso or ranchero sauce for an extra flavor punch. And while snagging an outdoors spot upstairs is easy, there’s typically a wait for a seat outdoors downstairs, so be prepared to wait." - Megan duBois

Had an amazing experience at Burrito Gallery! 🌯🎉 From the moment I walked in, the vibe was fun and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal or hanging out with friends. The menu had plenty of creative options, but I went for the Jumbo Shrimp Burrito—and it did not disappoint! Packed with perfectly seasoned shrimp, fresh veggies, and flavorful sauces, every bite was delicious. They definitely don’t skimp on portions, either! The salsa bar was a nice touch, giving me a chance to mix and match flavors, and the margaritas? Absolutely refreshing! Whether you're craving tacos, burritos, or just some good vibes, Burrito Gallery is a must-visit! Can't wait to go back.

Google
Food here is ok, but could be better. Tacos are really good, but the guacamole is premade and not that great. Service is slow even though Karolyn was trying her best to get everybody going. They prob need more people. It’s spacious and would accommodate a large group Parking is limited, but there is public or the street. The price is prob one of the best feature. I will be back on my next trip and bump this rate. Will def recommend this place if you are here in Jax.

Google
I'm a huge fan of Burrito Gallery Brooklyn Station! The food is always fresh and flavorful, with a wide variety of options to choose from. I especially love their tacos and burritos, which are packed with delicious ingredients and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is also very casual and relaxed, making it a great place to grab a bite with friends or family. The service is always friendly and efficient, and the staff is always willing to help with any questions you have. I've been to Burrito Gallery Brooklyn Station many times, and I've never been disappointed. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable Mexican food experience.

Google
The service was fantastic and I really enjoyed the rooftop area. Although the food and drinks were just okay, it's still a nice spot for a casual meal. However, if you're looking for authentic tacos or burritos, this might not be the place.

Google
Burrito Gallery is a fantastic spot to indulge in flavorful Mexican food with a fun, laid-back vibe. The menu offers a great range of shareable starters, like their creamy Queso Blanco, spicy Honey Sriracha Shrimp, and their crowd-favorite Chips & Guacamole. For something a bit more creative, the Grilled Mini Chihuahua Cheese Taco is a must-try, and both the Old Skool and New Skool Nachos are sure to satisfy. What sets Burrito Gallery apart is its atmosphere. Each location features a full bar and outdoor seating, making it the perfect spot to enjoy regular and late-night happy hours. I particularly love the Riverside location with its open terrace, where you can relax and listen to live music on the weekends. The Brooklyn Station location kicks things up a notch with rooftop DJ sessions every Friday night—an ideal way to end the week. From tacos and wraps to bowls and everything in between, Burrito Gallery’s menu has something for everyone. The special mix drinks and shrimp tacos I tried were especially delicious, packed with bold flavors that kept me coming back for more. Whether you’re in for a quick bite or a lively evening with friends, Burrito Gallery has you covered.

Google
2 visit to Burrito Gallery Brookkyn Station. 1ST VISIT I thought awesome tacos small portions...maybe it's the cook and whose prepping the tacos. Karolyn made sure I had everything I needed in the bag. Her hospitality is AWESOME and customer is AWESOME. 2ND VISIT - 9/2/2024 I ordered; 2 kids soft chicken tacos with only cheese 2 hardshell Americana chicken tacos with chimichurri and salsa on the side 2 hardshell Americana chicken tacos, no tomatoes with chimichurri on the side 1 soft honey shrimp taco 1 soft drink to go The order was bagged. I decided to open the bag to make sure my order was complete. No, it wasn't; no sauces on the side, portions were skimpy. I paid $33.00 for my entire order. Karolyn had to go to the kitchen and get me my sauces, with other missing items. Karolyn apologized for the inconvenience and proceeded to assist me. Karolyn made sure I had everything I needed in the bag. Her hospitality is AWESOME and customer is AWESOME, again. Here's what I got verses what I ordered. The pictures other customers posted is not what I got on my orders. What is this...portion control on take out verses dining in the restaurant.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat! Not many customers at the time! Manger and staff was very nice! Food was good! Prices reasonable! Restaurant from what I saw was clean minus one table that hasn’t been wiped down. Could have been an oversight. Good experience! Would go back!

Google
I just ordered take out about 4 different orders the orders were completely burnt. The manager proceeded to say ohh she knows they aren’t burnt because she bagged all the orders and she’s sorry that we didn’t like it. How are 4 orders completely burnt! That doesn’t even make sense looks burnt to me.. I eat birria tacos all the time and these have absolutely no favor a burnt taste was beyond nasty

Yelp
Had a private event her and Kaelyn was the absolute BEST ! Helpful is an understatement. The man's need a RAISE !! He was soo nice and made sure that everything we needed for our party we had. Sidenote: we definitely had a lot going on but Kaelyn was soo kind about everything. Just because we him my family and I will book another private event with Burrito Gallery. Decor by : The Backyard Thank you again for making my little brother Birthday/Graduation party nothing less than AMAZING !

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch with our 2 pups, sat outside on the patio. Server was friendly and gave us water for our pups right away. Chips and salsa were very good, we loved the salsa had some chunks in it and the spice level was good. Tacos were yummy! I have to say it's odd that I loved the Bean & Avocado so much because it's simple, but it was so simple and tasty. Come in here for a quick bite or to hang out and have drinks, we loved the margarita & sangria. Thank you!

Yelp
We took our granddaughter here today for her birthday and for successfully completing the 6th grade at Lavilla. My wife and granddaughter both got the Mahi Blackened Taco with chips and salsa. They both loved what they got. I got the Jerk Chicken Burrito with chips and salsa. It was just ok. They burned one side of the jerk chicken and it caused it to have a burnt take. Didn't like it!!! The Filling inside the burrito was good and tasty though. Service was friendly. Love how they decorated the restaurant. * One my Jerk Chicken Burrito I give it a 2 star! * My wife said her Mahi Blackened Toco was good and gives it a 4 star.

Chris O.

Yelp
Went for Thursday Night trivia which was fun for a friends birthday party. We played and dinned on the outside terrace which was very nice. They provided space heaters and the entertainment was great. Service was good, but we did have issues trying to get drinks and I believe they were short staffed or not use to a bigger crowd for trivia this week. The burrito was small for $14. Casa Maria Burritos are twice the size with amazing taste. This burrito lacked appeal along with taste. 2/10. The chips were good but some had so much salt/seasoning that it had to be brushed off. Nit a huge fan of their food but trivia was fun and saying that I'd probably come back only for the entertainment.

Destini R.

Yelp
Service with a smile. Great music selection. Plenty of seating and lovely aroma in the air. The teriyaki tofu was way better than I thought it was going to be. Every thing was really good even though the steak was a little tough. Overall great visit.

Tony S.

Yelp
Cool concept on Mexican food. When you sit next door to Chipotle and you have Burrito in your name you better be good. I never had carnitas in a red sauce before and it was delicious. I went back the next day and had the steak salad that was excellent. Wonderful friendly staff also.

Vince C.

Yelp
Maybe is just me but I remember the service being better when it was on Adam's street, the portion are significantly smaller this use to be my favorite place to eat in Jax now it's just a place. Modern times creates modern problems I have no solution for the once pride of my Jax. Good luck you've lost a customer.

Luis D.

Yelp
This is strictly a review for the nachos which I found wonderful. Back in college in Miami, we had this amazing place for nachos and I had recently been wanting a similar experience. Well Burrito Gallery does their nachos right. Nachos come our in a big plate filled with beans, chicken, sour cream, chopped lettuce, salsa, etc. It was a massively delicious amount of nachos and the perfect snack/meal. Even my baby got in on the nachos. I wouldn't have been surprised if she had said, "Father, these nachos are the bomb and I demand you feed me these each day until I grow tired of them." But that may be a tad bit too much to ask of a one year old. With all that said, I haven't eaten a burrito here but if it is as good as the nachos this place is worth the visit.

Michael M.

Yelp
I tried three different tacos. Bean and Avacodo, tofu and the keto tofu. Tofu is hit or miss for me but this was a home run. Really good flavor and an enjoyable meal. The Cole slaw was great as well. Probably won't get the bean and avacodo again.

Kyle B.

Yelp
The Queso was sold to me as it was spicy and no one at our table thought it had any spice! I ordered a spicy margarita and I received a watered down mess of a drink that didn't even resemble a margarita! I will say the waitress was nice

Ed H.

Yelp
Excellence in Burritos! If in Jax and need food, you need to visit the Burrito Gallery! We ordered the Mission Burrito with steak, a Mission Burrito with chicken, a BG Street taco, and a plate of nachos with chicken. The value for the food quantity was fantastic! My Mission burrito with steak was perfect! Flavors and textures were on pointe! The steak was wonderfully flavorful and mixed with the rice, beans, guacamole, salsa, and a punch of lettuce. It was simply beautiful. My daughter loved her Mission Burrito with chicken. She loved the flavor of the chicken- well marinated. My wife loves her taco and split the nachos with our second daughter. We all actually piled in those nachos and couldn't finish. The nachos were well plated and the clincher was the queso blanco on the bottom! The restaurant was clean, low traffic at 3pm on a Sunday, and the restroom was cleaned and well stocked. We will be back next time in Jax Beach!

Cris L.

Yelp
Service was pleasant and ambiance is fine, but burritos are not all that and the steak was just awful.

Monica Ivonne R.

Yelp
Great happy hour and great bartenders. Truly enjoyed Jordan and Sierras service. Trivia night on Thursday is very interesting.

Desirae L.

Yelp
Just meh. Craving Mexican food and decided on BG bc they have convenient locations for Springfield. If you want ambiance, the rooftop has a nice view but it was quite dead for a Friday night. Although there was only one server ( who was also the bartender) they were very attentive. What I'm really disappointed in is the bland food. How do you mess up a chicken taco? Beans and rice were also straight out of the can. The blackened shrimp was more up to speed. I'm going to push myself to explore other less popular options for Mexican food in the future.

Cold R.

Yelp
I got charged 9 dollars for guacamole, plus the food was average. Do not recommend at all

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
I'm gonna give it a strong meh. You order at the counter when you first enter and they bring your food to your table. There is outdoor and indoor seating with a variety of hot sauces available to take to your table after you order. I got a chicken burrito bowl with chips and queso. The bowl was just meh...no real flavor and the chicken was over cooked to the point it was crunchy and I couldn't eat it. The queso and chips was okay. I was able to eat like 85% of my bowl with the over cooked chicken and I'm not sure if the chicken was over cooked due to it being later in the night or what. The food came out really fast but for the price it was all around just meh...the service was very fast and the workers were very nice.

Brittknee C.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Wonderful cocktails. The rooftop is amazing. Love the quesadillas and the salsa. Highly recommend.

LeChel R.

Yelp
I mostly go for the drinks ! Best cocktails there is !!! Food is pretty good happy hour menu is a great deal

Arlissa P.

Yelp
My keto taco (cheese shell) with blackened shrimp was soooo delicious. The chips and queso were really good too. I'll definitely return for a repeat performance.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
The service was great as it pertains to the employees interacting with the customers. The food portions are a good size and definitely filling. My problem is the taste. There just isn't any flavoring. I felt the food lacked flavor. Mexican food is supposed to be full of flavors and none of it had any except for the blackened shrimp. The shrimp were plentiful and a good size. We sat outside which was nice. The restaurant was clean.

LaToya C.

Yelp
Pretty quiet night, cashiers were nice but must be new, it took way too long to place our order. We decided to dine outside, upstairs was closed. Outside area had several uncleaned tables so the selection was limited. I've ordered this before & let's just blame the fact I haven't ate all day as to why I even ate it because it wasn't the same, or good. Kids agreed concerning their orders (burrito and chicken nachos) Still waiting on our churros, pretty sure the waitress forgot about us. This was supposed to be a bday dinner requested by the bday boy. This place is now officially hit or miss. I'll stick the downtown location.

Jim S.

Yelp
Food is TERRIBLE. I live in the apartments next door. Its a shame because I love mexican/ tex mex. But this place is literally the worst. Hoping it goes out of business and something cool takes over, because it has a rooftop bar that no one ever goes to. AVOID!

Jasmin D.

Yelp
Solid taco spot for a relaxed taco Tuesday!! The Keri tacos are delicious, blackened shrimp was flavorful, and they were all very filling. Highly recommend this if you are having a taco craving

Jane S.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered burrito gallery a lot. Well we order tonight online and just like several other occasions they forgot our food item. Tonight they forgot my husband's chicken curry burrito and instead of apologizing she had the audacity to say that are you sure it's not there my coworker said she bagged it. Well first off don't accuse me of lying I will take a picture if you really want. We will never return and we will tell many of our friends not to as well (I have lived here all my life I know a lot of people) you don't know who you piss off and be more professional

Dazjanae J.

Yelp
I love this modern location of Burrito Gallery. The parking is easy compared to the old location in downtown. I always order a chicken burrito with the coleslaw, which is a fan favorite in my household. Their version of coleslaw isn't like one we've had before, so we love it. Another thing I love about this location is the rooftop. You're able to see the beautiful downtown jacksonville skyline. There aren't too many rooftop bars/eateries that have rooftops in the city, so enjoy it.

Michael R.

Yelp
This restaurant is part of a local chain throughout jacksonville. So, when my partner was getting her hair done in same center. We decided we had to enjoy dinner here. There is construction in an adjacent lot. So beware gps may take you wrong way. Once you are in the parking lot. It is easy to spot this restaurant. They have a big open area for for dining. That is about all we noticed on the bottom floor. Once we heard there was roof top seating. We went straight for the stairs. They so have an elevator for handicap patrons that want to use rooftop seating. The rooftop has a nice view for four tables. They have a bar you could sit at too. There are also seating in the center of the rooftop area. The service lived up to the high standard we have encountered at all other burrito gallery locations in jacksonville. We were greated immediately. Our food did not have a long turn over. I loved their special of the day. That was the hibachi steak burrito. My wife got her usual vegetarian plate. We also tell people visiting that a burrito gallery is a must to try while in town. We have found another location to suggest. They do have a military discount.

Terra D.

Yelp
This place is pretty average for a Tex mex restaurant. I've had their birria tacos and their quesadillas. They're both pretty good. Ambiance is nice. There's indoor and outdoor seating on two levels. Customer service has always been pretty good. Overall, a good choice.

Howard H.

Yelp
Stopped in this place on our way to Savannah. I had the fried chicken blt taco, 2 of them. They were very tasty. I would've liked a little bit more acidity in the dish but it was still very good. My daughter got the California burrito, which highlighted chorizo, potato and avocado. The chorizo was tasty but a little bit salty on its own. All together it was still good.

Janie P.

Yelp
Restaurant is dirty, staff is slow and preoccupied. Food took almost 40 mins for a couple tacos and a burrito.

Lynn H.

Yelp
I ordered a BG Salad via delivery for lunch. Salad was good, as always, but there were no avocados on it. Wish someone from the restaurant would explain that, since there was no adjustment in price for the missing element.

Jessica N.

Yelp
This location has the strangest hours. I've only been one time because every time I try to go, they are closed. It was a lovely surprise that there was live music the one night we were able to dine in. The bartender seemed spacey and overwhelmed, which was fine - we got our food and drinks eventually. The food was nothing to write home about - just regular Mexican food. With a number of other chain restaurants within walking distance and another Mexican restaurant one block away, this restaurant should be working harder to bring in customers and keep them.

Brenda C.

Yelp
great place to eat Great customer service Bartender Brittany is amazing. great choices and good portions. very friendly atmosphere. will go back several more times and recommend this place to others!

Nelma P.

Yelp
Stop by for a quick dinner on a Wednesday evening. Tried two burritos. Tofu and Brisket. Brisket is still pretty good. To my surprise the Tofu was quite delicious. It was fried on a corn tortilla with an amazing salsa, combination of tangy & slightly sweet. Great flavor. My go to Brisket Taco was consistently good. However my friend ordered a brisket ensalada it was delicious except the rice and beans were not that great. Disappointing. Also he ordered a frozen margarita for got $8 bucks it was not worth it. Reminds me of a slushy from Sonic with a splash of tequila. Our server was very attentive. The atmosphere was upbeat for Trivia night. I will return for the Brisket and Tofu Tacos. I'll just skip the rice, beans & frozen margarita.

Jeuanita P.

Yelp
Went to Burrito Gallery for lunch. I had the Steak and Chimichurri Mini Tacos served on a grilled cheese taco (this was unique and amazing); the chicken quesadilla, chips & queso and one of the best churros I have ever eaten! The food was fresh and fantastic. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Jax!

Brad H.

Yelp
Let me start by saying any recommendation I give for any restaurant in the Riverside Station area is imperiled by my general dislike of the parking area around it. I hate that parking lot. Went to Burrito Gallery with a friend for lunch. I ordered the lunch combo (2 steak tacos with chips and salsa and a soda) and I added a shrimp taco. My friend had the quesadilla with salsa and chips and he added queso. Both meals were good, but if you want enough salsa to dip all your chips in, you will need to purchase extra. My only real complaint was that my friends food came out way before mine did, so he was well into his meal before I got mine. All and all, a good meal but the dining area can be a little loud.

Ilsa A.

Yelp
I visited this location for the first time on a Tuesday evening with a party of 7. Rooftop seating was readily available for our larger party which was perfect. I appreciated seeing that they have a variety of local drafts on tap. Service was adequate, and food was fair. Being from Texas, I have a pretty high standard for how I like my tacos and burritos so although these were nice, they did not make it into the extraordinary category. The menu is pretty large so there is a nice selection of dishes to choose from. Overall, this is a fun place to hang out with friends. I highly recommend going to the rooftop on a nice Florida evening. Thanks Burrito Gallery!

Kelly M.

Yelp
I haven't been here in awhile and am kicking myself for waiting so long! I forgot how GOOD this place is. I ordered the regular sized burrito with steak. It comes with a side and I chose chips and salsa. The burrito was a little bit small so I will order the largest one next time I go. I am only giving this a 4 star rating because they only give one teeny tiny container of salsa with the chips. I am a dipper and a scooper and I needed 5 times the amount that they gave me! I recommend asking for extra salsa when you order as they don't come back to your table to check on you. I recommend this as the perfect place for Tex Mex food. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was plenty of seating. I will be back.

Jowell O.

Yelp
Work lunch with coworkers. Tacos with chips and side of guacamole was on point. We were in and out within 45 minutes. Recommend for quick lunch.

Leticia C.

Yelp
First of all...food was good! The tacos even though they look small are fulfilling! Definitely a must try exactly how they come! The burrito was good and everything was seasoned perfectly!

Jamie W.

Yelp
We stopped in here for a late night drink after attending Cirque in Jacksonville. We were looking for someplace that was nearby and still open, and this fit the bill. We opted to sit on the top open deck to enjoy the beautiful evening. Service was on point. We decided to order an appetizer of the chorizo queso, which was served hot and with warm tortilla chips as well. it was quite tasty, albeit a bit small for a shareable dish.

Gary S.

Yelp
We've been bouncing between this location, Town Center & the beach locations for a very long time. Today the service - including the attitude of the General Manager - was pathetic. The cashier, when she wasn't joking around with a pickup order guy, was very off-putting & acted like she could care less. Our order came out on 1 tray (2 separate orders for my wife & me). Her corn tortilla taco was stone cold. We asked to speak with the GM, who actually stood at our table defending the food. The 2 Americana tacos - one on flour & one on corn - weren't even filled the same. The GM got a smart ass attitude & said "well you've eaten half of it" which was a lie since my wife had only taken one small bite. He didn't even offer to remake it. Wife had to ask him to. Then he used the "we're short staffed" post-pandemic excuse when there was staff standing around doing nothing. Needless to say, we'll stick with the TC & beaches Burrito Gallery.

Alicia H.

Yelp
I've driven by here dozens of times and wanted to check out the rooftop bar. Last night I went with a friend for a early dinner before catching a concert at Daily's Place. The host downstairs was very comical and informative. Kitchen appeared clean and organized. Went outside to take the stairs to the rooftop- absolutely loved the colorful mural on the side of the building. Wonderful view and late afternoon breezes. Hostess upstairs was nice and accommodating. When we asked questions about specific food and drink she didnt have much of an opinion to steer us between our choices. For instance when i order a signature Cadillac margarita and u ask me "salt or sugar?" I would have liked the opinion of someone who had actually tasted the drank the drink. But instead her response was "It's up to u.. " wow really?!?! thanks that helps a Lot. lol In the end I order the black Cadillac margarita- It tasted like salty sour mix. I dont recommend it. The food took a long time to come out- we were a party of 2, it shouldn't have taken that long. Food was fresh and delicious. Generous & flavorful nachos with shrimp & guac rocked! Next time I'd just try other drinks at the bar and order my food to go.

Daniel T.

Yelp
The food is good. Good place to enjoy watching sporting events alone or with friends. Has an option for rooftop dining.

Danielle D.

Yelp
This has always been One of my favorite restaurants. After Covid the menu was cut down, understandable, but I have not seen fish tacos on the menu in a couple years. We came to the Brooklyn locations for lunch today. I got teriyaki tofu taco, the tofu was definitely not fresh. After I had placed my order I did inquire about fish tacos and was told they still have them you just have to ask for them, even though they're not on the menu. My boyfriend got a steak burrito, he pulled out multiple chunks of gristle and unedible pieces that were all uncut and stuff together. We wondered if they are cutting corners. We also did not see the hot sauces they used to have out. Just three were offered. We are both saddened by this experience because we have both always been a fan of Burrito Gallery. It was very empty, employees did not appear to be very professional, sitting at tables on their phone. We watched our food sit in the window for a few minutes before it was ever brought to us. That atmosphere, music, and by the looks of it general popularity has definitely changed. It's very unfortunate. I do not think we will be back. We were very underwhelmed. The queso is still good though!

Maisha R.

Yelp
Normally I'd be all about the meat but I found myself at Burrito Gallery during a three week stint where I was on a special diet that called for no meat or seafood. So options were a little limited but I went with the veggie tacos and I substituted the cole slaw for rice and beans. I also added a side of guacamole. To my surprise, the veggie tacos were very tasty. The fajita vegetables had a really nice char on them and the chimichurri sauce added flavor and moistness to the taco. The corn tortillas held up to the juice. Unfortunately, everything else was just ok. The $1.75 tablespoon of guacamole needed at least salt or some citrus juice and the rice and beans were flavorless and very dry. Charging $1 to substitute that for the coleslaw wasn't a good value. But for a $7 meal, I can't really complain too much. Our server did a good job taking care of a party of 15 and it was nice and cozy under the heat warmer on the rooftop. I'd never been to any of the burrito galleries before but based on the veggie taco, I may find my way to one of the locations at some point to try the meat tacos.

Aleaha W.

Yelp
The food here used to be good !!! Most bland burrito I think I've ever had. It didn't taste like anything, a bunch of mush in my mouth.

Thea N.

Yelp
I've been to Burrito Gallery before just not this particular location. I actually really like this location a little more than the downtown just because of how open everything is. The decor however was really plain too contemporary for me. I did, however, liked the sugar skulls and the Brooklyn sign at the bar. On to food. My go-to at any Tex-Mex restaurant is tacos. Not a big fan of burritos unless it's a breakfast burrito . Anyways, I ordered the steak and shrimp tacos and a banana old fashioned. It was one of their busier nights so I did not mind the wait. The servers were all very attentive and made sure to keep us updated with our food. The steak taco wasn't bad, but I wasn't a fan of it. The shrimp taco however was bomb. I would definitely get it again, and my banana old fashioned...it had all the flavors of an old fashion but with a little bit more sweetness. Loved it! I will note that when you order queso with your meal to sub out the side of cole slaw, it automatically comes with a side of chips. Which is does not noted on the menu...unless I missed it. Can't wait to come back again for drinks and more tacos.

Maya C.

Yelp
I couldn't believe it. Some Yelpers had a meeting of the minds and put together a Saturday night UYE, something YelpJax needs as in informal way to meet new Yelpers and just hang out. I had been to the Burrito Gallery location downtown but I'd never been to this one and the rooftop bar sounded exciting. I got there on time and of course ringleader Goldie was already there with a few other peeps at a long table for us. It was a little chilly but the overhead heaters kept the area at just the right temperature. She quickly notified each of us that happy hour was over at 6pm and gave us the entire rundown as to what specials they were having. She is always prepared. Off of a tip from Goldie, I started with the Tequila Sunrise to drink. It was pleasant until I got to the bottom. I forgot to stir it up so I had a mouthful of liquor...and before I had food. Oh boy. I tried to snack on some chips and salsa but I knew deep down that wasn't going to help. I'll ride it out. When mostly everyone got there we started putting our orders in. I wonder if the one server was overwhelmed by all of us since we did it at one time. She seemed to have it under control by getting help from downstairs in bringing the food up. I ordered 3 corn tortilla tacos, the Cajun Shrimp, the Curry Chicken and the Steak. Out of all of them I liked the Cajun Shrimp mainly because of the sauce that came with it. The Steak was good and the Curry Chicken was kinda meh. The curry spice was downplayed to where you could get a taste of it but not enough to give that spicy kick I was expecting. I did share some Chips and Guac with my friend Susan but the guac was unremarkable. It seemed to be missing something like some kinda spice. Despite the food we all had a good time laughing and making new friends, even getting some new folks to join Yelp.

Yelp
Everybody likes to have a place to think, to meditate, to eat a burrito.... This was my second visit to this particular Burrito Gallery and they have proven to only be two of those options for me: a place to think and a place to meditate due to the amazing rooftop view. Their food isn't much to write home about as I've experienced better tacos, burritos, chips and dip else where. I think I enjoyed the food served at the original Downtown Burrito Gallery a lot more than the Brooklyn (Riverside) location. The service was slow but, I understand that the waitress was dealing with a larger party than normal. My curry burrito was dry and cold. But, my house margarita was just right! I'm not quite sure if I would recommend this Burrito Gallery as a first choice for Tex-Mex but, I'm sure I will be back in the near future to re-evaluate my experienc

Yelp
A group of us went here for a birthday celebration, though not my first time here. Ask the Line grew we realized we had to stand behind the black artistic barricade. as were standing three people walk in and went straight to the register. The woman behind the register knew the line was there but took these three individuals anyway. The gentleman standing behind me was most upset and started to speak his mind. Staff, rather than acknowledging that they took these three individuals Even though there was already a long line just ignored him. This ignited into a brief heated discussion between the gentleman and one of the three individuals who broken front of the line. Again staff just ignored it all. I ordered a small vegetarian burrito and I will say it was average nothing spectacular. Overall we had a good time with the birthday celebration, the restaurant was clean, and wait staff was very quick with picking up plates once they felt we were done. I would return but maybe not so quickly. Staff may need to be a little bit more observant of people who are in line because you never know how others are going to react when someone cuts in front of them. I think had staff acknowledged the gentleman behind me it may not have escalated to the short fuse that it was.
