"One of the rare moments RM didn't share pictures from his art gallery visit, it was reported after he'd visited the Busan Museum of Art, that he'd left a note thanking the gallery for his experience. He also pointed out that he liked the Wind series by artist Lee Ufan."
It is an ample space that could have so much more than one or two themes at once. An entire floor was not even used. Otherwise, it was very nice.

It was a good experience to look around the art museum. They regularly change their theme, so it has many various paintings to enjoy. The entree fee was free, so you just need to select the tickets from the machine.

The Museum was quiet, and had a serene feel to it.
If you want to take your time and focus on the artworks, however, I don't suggest you stay outside. Instead, you can explore the interior exhibition where, if you do not run into anyone intruding on you, you can quietly explore on your own.

The 2th and 3rd floors were not available as new exhibits were being prepared. We enjoyed the « lot of people « exhibition with painted styrofoam. An activity for you to make your own styrofoam piece of arts is available. Very instructive.

English website is quite confusing. The words are English but meaning isn't which is difficult since you need to pre-book timed tickets for exhibits on different floors. One staff person gave me a ticket and said to wait for two hours on benches in the lobby but another gave me an immediate timed ticket to the second floor exhibit. Thank you! The art was from Korean collectors. Cafeteria hits included maple cream cheese waffles and vanilla latte coffee.

Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in history and art. The free exhibition is worth a visit already. Closed on Mondays (take note of that!). Would rate it a 5 if there were English translations on all of the exhibits, but having most of it translated to English is good enough for me. Time passes really fast here so do allocate enough time to visit here.

Definitely worth a visit. The free exhibition offers a great view into Busan's local socio-economic history. However, the free exhibition seems to be a little more focused on history than to better shed light on the evolution of artistic sensibilities, aesthetics, philosophy and style of the various pieces. More could be done to also shed light on the artistic traditions from which the featured artists drew their inspiration/training from. Still, it's worth spending an hour or so checking it out.
