There is almost nothing that is not subpar about this establishment. It is an example of a place that has a catchy name and you want to support a small business and you give them chance after chance and they just don’t meet the mark. I was placing a large dinner order: a little of this a little bit of that from their prepared food case and one of the staff felt it was important to tell me that I needed to place my order while standing at the register and I asked can I place my order while looking at the items because I’ll otherwise forget all of the different things that I want. She rolled her eyes and said something rude to the other girl. These girls clearly, would rather be anywhere but behind the counter of a customer service deli. Since it was convenient for her I committed to memory the 10 different items that I wanted. Then I left without a container and I didn’t realize it until I got home because I was so shaken, but I sat in my car for a good six minutes responding to work related text messages after leaving the store, one of the staff could easily have brought me the container I left behind. So the biggest problem is staffing, and this is why I will never return. The attitude of the workers is as if you are doing them a favor by walking in the door and placing an order. The quality of the food is questionable if not outright unhealthy. Most of it processed masquerading as healthy. They have catered several of my family parties over the years, thanks to me, promoting their name to many. I don’t know what happened but the place is now drastically below expectations. They charge premium prices but they do not deliver on par with their price point. If there was a single redemptive quality, I would not write this review, There is not. It is a sad place filled with sad staff and bad food and I expect to see this place boarded up. You can’t carry on as imposters for much longer and if you want a fighting chance #1 eliminate your counter staff that do not have customer facing attributes #2 re-examine the quality of your meats and not-homemade salads #3 do something about the cleanliness of your space. Then this just a few days ago. I placed.a $600 catering order and the serving utensils were left out of my order at pick up. I called the store to let them know because at that point I was on a ferry, bringing their catering to my family event. A call to notify the store is met with defensiveness and insistence that I was wrong and they were right. I arrived with enough time before my event to get what I needed but I will not easily let go of the fact that the store did not acknowledge their mistake and were unable to simply say “we’re so sorry”. Don’t bring your business here. “We do not have an order for you for utensils on your invoice, and you did not pay for them“. Please see the attached, and the six serving utensils that I ordered and paid for. God forbid they were wrong. Good luck trying to follow this invoice and what cost what. Crazy this place.

Generous portions are served at this sub shop. They also have a small market with prepared foods and meats to take home and grill! I cannot wait for my next sandwich and you can order it with a New England sandwich tradition: hots! We brought home a jar of the local honey from Maplehill Apiaries. Their summer collection’s floral and lavender notes are phenomenal. Try their baked goods too! Blondies do not disappoint.

Google
Corned beef Reuben was ok, it had a ton of sauerkraut so the center wasn’t hot which was off putting to me. Service was fine, but the teenagers behind the counter don’t talk like they’re at work, shared some personal info I didn’t want to hear. Finally the atmosphere was ok, clean and spacious, but they suddenly started playing loud country music over the speakers and it made me leave.

Google
I don't Iike giving a bad review to a local establishment but after ordering the same sandwich on three separate occasions, a low review is now needed. I ordered the Turkey club wrap. This sandwich contains turkey cold cut meat, lettuce, tomato and bacon. If you observe the photos from this review, you will notice the majority of the contents of the sandwich is just lettuce and some tomatoes. There is barely 2 slices of turkey meat. This is a vegetarian sandwich and not a turkey club. This is unacceptable for what you charge for this sandwich. The meat content should be more. I gave 3 chances but was disappointed each time. Like the other reviewers, the staff is a collection of teenagers who don't mind that you have to wait long periods to get your food. Management needs to address this low quality of products and unacceptable slow service. I cannot recommend this place. Bushel N' Peck...you need to do much better..

Krystina K.

Google
I love when I happen to find little gems. I would rather spend money on small establishments then chain places. We are not from this area and needed a quick bite to eat on the way home. They had gluten free AND an entire freezer of gluten free items. I felt like I won the lottery. The food was fresh, healthy, and delicious. Prices were affordable. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The bathroom was clean. I will be sure to eat here again if I am in the area again!

Google
The food here is great, the service? Not so much. I have gotten several togo lunch orders from Bushel, and every time have bad service at the pickup counter. As I was picking up an order today, I made eye contact with a young woman behind the counter. I grabbed my bag, said “thank you!” and the employee’s response was to roll her eyes and turn her back to me. Noted.

Google
Lots to choose from but then it's microwaved. Update 27Jul...I'm still not convinced. How much mayonnaise does a chicken cutlet really need? And did you run it over before I got it? Is a 20% tip in advance not enough? Lesson learned, won't be going back.

Shaun M.

Google
I wish there was more places like this closer to where I live. I would be here every day getting breakfest and lunch. Everything is made from scratch, and it also serves prepared foods as well. Ate the chicken cordon blue, it was everything I expected. Whether you stop in to eat, or on the go getting the prepped food for home, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Yesterday around 3:00 p.m. we picked up some items for dinner, and it ended up taking about 20 minutes. We were first in line mind you and it's important to know that there were roughly 4-6 employee's (teens) walking around being useless. We had to repeat the order twice. But overall, the attitude from the staff was if they could care less. Also, it's fair to mention that we got sandwiches a few weeks ago around the same time and that was a disaster. After giving exact instructions on what was to be put on the sandwich, they messed them up. Same situation, numerous employees walking around behind the counter talking to each other. Completely clueless. Lastly, the food was decent. The sandwiches are always good. We enjoy having this place in town, but the lack of awareness is bar-none Where is management?! and what is your solution Bushel & Peck?

Jess H.

Yelp
Don't waste your money ordering their pickles - this is the nasty crap I've gotten the past several times I've gotten a pickle - not sure why I keep trying and hoping I'll eventually get one that hasn't been sitting in a bucket for months. This is disgusting, don't even serve these to people.

Yelp
Giving them only two stars, not for the food but the bad service; I literally stood in front of the cashier for 20 mins and he didn't take my order. and it was made worse by the fact, that people came into the store and walked up and placed orders DO BETTER
google avatar

Yelp
To the owners- please get a grip of what's going on when you're not there. You have high school kids running the show - music is loud, conversations are constant and inappropriate, the place is disheveled with food all over the floor and let's not forget the staff having multiple hickies on their neck... The food is mediocre m, what's in stock, and the prices keep getting higher. Wait time for a sandwich at 6 pm with 1 customer in the store = 14 mins.

Joseph C.

Yelp
Soup didn't have much taste kind of pricey Should maybe try other stuff if I ever go there again

Yelp
Unfortunately this place missed the mark for me when I came in on a Thursday afternoon. I ordered a meatball sub and a grilled cheese with tomato. In the midst of waiting almost 45 minutes for it to be made after I questioned why it's taking so long (they threw our ticket away without making the food), we observed the lady on the phone who was taking orders rolling her eyes to the customer on the other end, another employee make a mistake on an order and proceeds to get reprimanded in front of the whole place, we finally had to go up and ask when the two sandwiches would be done. The woman who took our order kindly (the first time of her being kind this entire time) took my sub off the bill. Once we finally had enough and got our food, we decided to eat it in the car because of the atmosphere. The foods taste, unfortunately, did not make up for the experience over all. I won't be back.

Yelp
Food: I've been here a few times, and I enjoy thier Pork Belly BLT Hot Sandwich, it's def on the fatty side but tender. The siracha aoli has a pungent flavor, which can clash at time but still overall good. The clam chowder is more on the watery side but I still enjoy it, as it's flavored well. I also got thier fried pickles which they were well coated with breadcrumbs over batter which I preferred. It might be one of the better fried pickles I've had. Service: There's a lot of younger staff so there are time where things take awhile or sometimes you're just ignored bc they're busy. They can perhaps say is " we'll be right with, please wait" but you're waiting 15 minuntes before someone does speak to you. I feel like it's a little choatic because of it but nonetheless, they make sure your food is ready and hot. Ambiance: It's a rather cozy friendly environment in supporting local businesses. A lot of locals and workers come in and out of the place, making the place very approachable. Location accommodation: There is limited parking in the front like 7 spaces but there some side parking if you head towards in the building. They have tables to eat outside as well but pretty limited.

Yelp
Went with a friend for a sandwich and both were very good.i had the tuna wrap - it was fresh with just the right amount of Mayo...he had the chicken caesar wrap and said it was good as well.
google avatar

Suzanne M.

Yelp
I can't speak so much for the service since this was a group take out order for work, but my sandwich was delicious & they got the order right! I can't wait to go back and try the Pork Belly BLT!

Sean O.

Yelp
Placed a large order on Sunday afternoon for some out of town guests. Absolutely horrible quality. Half-filled sandwiches, hot sandwiches were cold, and didn't follow simple requests like "no cheese". Won't make that mistake again.

Martha B.

Yelp
Ordered fish and chips to go - tasted ok but they didn't provide any tartar sauce (or cole slaw.) I would not have ordered this if I knew they didn't have tartar sauce. The employees did not seem to care about customer service.

Yelp
My family used to love coming here for the quality food. We hadn't been in a while so when we stopped in recently I expected it to be just as good as we remembered. However, it wasn't. I ordered a BLT and specifically asked for crispy bacon. The young man running the register was very nice and even repeated "crispy" back to me to make sure. I ordered it on syrian bread and when he checked if there was syrian bread with the young girl making the sandwiches she gave him an attitude and nodded her head. While we waited for our sandwiches I noticed that the food in the deli display cases looked old and dried out and the signs were throw on top of the food haphazardly making it look very unsanitary. As they were making our sandwiches I saw the young girl pop my bacon in the microwave quickly. Now, I don't expect bacon to be cooked to the exact crispiness I desire when I go out to eat, but I do expect it to be cooked. When I got home and unwrapped the sandwich it was completely raw! Literally one step above being taken out of the package. It was still pink. No color, texture, just totally floppy and unsafe to eat. I took the bacon out and cooked it on my own and threw the rest of the sandwich away due to it being contaminated with raw pork. I paid $11.50 for this inedible and dangerous sandwich. I'm lucky I checked before biting into it! I don't recommend this place at all judged on what I received and what I saw in the deli area. Definitely has gone down hill. Such a shame. On the up side the fries were CRISPY and delicious. My family's sandwiches were good. But the raw bacon and state of the deli case is just inexcusable.

Yelp
We've been to this location multiple times while visiting our daughter in a nearby town. This was our first visit after/during covid so it's been a while. I could go on and on as I typically do, but I'll keep it simple. I ordered a Chicken Parm on Italian. The bread was very fresh and sandwich substantial. The problem for me is this was not a fresh chicken cutlet... it was a pressed chicken Cutlet and for $9.75, I just can't get past that . Very disappointing

Jonathan D.

Yelp
If friendliness was everything this would be a four star review. Could hardly taste chicken salad, there was so little of it. Almost all spinach. This combined with price and a long wait time (watching teenagers lazily spread Mayo on sliced bread while chatting) earns it two stars. Might try it again to see if it was a fluke!

Yelp
Delicious sandwiches and super kind and helpful staff! We just moved to grafton and are excited to come here more!

Yelp
Stopped after shopping with my sisters. Found a table inside, there were about 5-6 of them. We had the Italian, Hot Roman and Pork Belly BLT that was on special. The two Italians were amazing the one on special was sloppy and uncut. Wait staff was patient, effective and pleasant. Few tables available outside. Parking was tight since they were busy but we scored a spot. Priced approximately as we added bottle drinks and bags of chips.

S R.

Yelp
Awesome sandwiches and wraps. Staff is super friendly and they have Great service. Looks like they might be doing a remodel in the store but don't be fooled! Food is awesome

Laura F.

Yelp
We love Bushel and Peck and think it is a great addition to Grafton! I always get the same sandwich, but my husband tries lots of things and is generally happy. It is our go to sandwich shop and we also love that they deliver!

Mathew F.

Yelp
The food is great as far as taste goes. Getting the order correct is another thing. Probably 50% of the time there's something incorrect with the order. Portion sizes differ depending on the day I guess. I've ordered the buffalo Mac n cheese many times. Sometimes I've had a full container, and sometimes I get this. Price doesn't change on the weight unfortunately. If you're looking for good food, this is the place. Just fair warning your order probably won't be exactly what you ordered or how much.

Gayle T.

Yelp
I've had terrific sandwiches in the past from Bushel 'n Peck. Today, not so much. I ordered a Turkey and cheese wrap with lettuce and pickles. How hard is that? I got a stale wrap with Turkey and weird little clumps of cheese. No lettuce. No pickles. There are a bunch of indifferent teenagers here who are more interested in goofing and flirting with each other than in making your sandwich. And their prices aren't cheap for cruddy products.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
The best Egg, Ham, Cheese breakfast sandwich I have had. Fast friendly service. The coffee pot decided to "self destruct" upon our arrival...but the manager jumped in and got it replaced (somehow) and came out and refilled our cups as we were sitting outside eating. Obviously a popular venue as We noticed continued traffic of locals coming in as we sat and enjoyed breakfast.
google avatar

Meagh-Dan B.

Yelp
Seems to have gone downhill. Waited 26 minutes(I checked the time) for a tuna wrap and a Buffalo chicken wrap, not even a busy day with plenty of people working
google avatar

Vidya V.

Yelp
Bad choice for vegetarians . The place is so sloppy and the folks there don't have any sense of hygiene . They wear food prep gloves and never seem to change it , touching everything from microwaves , dishes to food wearing the same gloves and preparing your order . Will never recommend it nor go back here!

Dae1 S.

Yelp
Soooo... first impressions are everything! This was my first time here and I was not made to feel welcome at all. The young lady who took my order didn't even have the decency to respond to my greeting of "hello!" Hopefully my sandwich is better than the customer service.
google avatar

Marley D.

Yelp
Returned for the first time in years. Half the clientele in line wasn't wearing masks--that's a first. Two of the employees had their masks under their chins. Food isn't worth it.
google avatar

Damien K.

Yelp
Great local sandwich shop. Came here with a friend to grab a to-go lunch while moving. I ordered the pork belly BLT. While described as a thick cut Bacon, it is no joke a very thick cut, really lets just call it pork. Served on french bread with their sriracha aioli, the sandwich was in short great. Even on a Sunday the place was pretty busy. They had a fully staffed group going that did have things move along at a nice clip. They were friendly and orders came out quickly and exactly as ordered. I think my other stop here was a few years back, so I don't remember too much other then I didn't have a negative experience. Overall in the general area probably one of the best sandwich shops serving up fresher fare in the area.
google avatar

Suzanne B.

Yelp
Their chicken salad wraps are good. I haven't really tried anything else. Their frozen pizzas are decent in a pinch.
google avatar

M. M.

Yelp
I'm dissapointed with my recent experience here. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich for the first time and a cup of chicken noodle soup. What I got was an incredibly bland chicken salad on a bulkie which was very small and my soup which was tasty. Total cost: 15 dollars. I don't mind paying decent $$ for a generous portion of quality food, but this was below my expectation. I would expect a lot more. Felt ripped off today. In the past I ordered their meatball sandwich, but they used detectibly low quality ground beef so I had to throw it in the trash. I just figured that was a poor choice on their end thinking no one would know and to save money. Unfortunately this is just another dissapointment. I think I will rest this place for a while.
google avatar

Oceana L.

Yelp
Excellent gluten free options safe for those with celiac disease. Delivery, takeout, and even GF desserts. Deli style food. Love this place. And their party platters are amazing!

Bob D.

Yelp
Food is lousy, very little meat in sandwich, and bread was stale, only good thing was the Service. Definitely not going there again!
google avatar

Kerri G.

Yelp
On behalf of my boss: "Deeelicious!!!! I was going to get a ham and cheese with lettuce, tomatoes, and hot peppers, but my eyes wandered to the case and were greeted by the delightful sight of spinach and feta pie!! Nestled next to the pie was yummy looking eggplant parm!! So I got both!!! And ate them in my truck!!!! I can't wait to surrender my tastebuds to this glorious experience next time I'm on the road!!!!!!!!!!"
google avatar

Elysha G.

Yelp
Good food but terrible service. I Ordered online then went to pick it up... I let the young girl behind the counter know i was there and paid for my food.... they forgot about me after some people came in and out... I waited for over 20 minutes and my sandwich was cold by the time i got in my car to eat it. I even reminded them i had been waiting after 15 minutes and turns out my sandwich was on the "ready to go" wall the whole time i was there but the girl behind the counter had no idea.

Karen R.

Yelp
Thanksgiving weekend I ordered takeout from this place for five of us... We were only getting sandwiches and the bill was just under $70 - expensive! but the real Reason for this review is me finding a long black hair intertwined in my eggplant Parm sandwich... Which, of course ruined everybody's dinner... And the worst is yet to come because I tried two different ways to contact the establishment and have never heard back from them. That is just plain rude business.

Yelp
I love this place! Great sandwiches, soups and prepared foods! Their chowder and chili are both award winning and absolutely delicious! Staff is always friendly, helpful, quick and efficient. My go to place when in the Grafton area is Bushel N' Peck. In fact I hope my travels around lunch time take me near Bushel N' Peck. Sandwiches are always fresh. Soups and other food items are always made fresh daily. My main issues are parking which can be challenging around lunch time and seating which also can be challenging during lunch time . At some point a seat usually opens up when I'm In line due to fast turn over. If parking in the B N' P lot is full I park at the decommissioned fire house across the street or farther up near town common area. GF free options are available. They also carry a line of GF food and baked goods from The Bean Counter Bakery in a self service freezer. All good! Don't miss it. Make a point to stop in for lunch you won't be disappointed.

Maggie P.

Yelp
i love going to this place it's right in town. it's all teenagers who just walk around the whole time besides the older boy and this one girl. the last few times i've ordered a grilled cheese it was burnt. todays was beyond burnt i couldn't even eat it. there food is going down hill along with there workers.
google avatar

Henry P.

Yelp
Ooooh such a good sandwich shop! Grab a hogue, chips and soda and haunt over to The Common. Boar's Head is the meat supplier... you cannot go wrong?
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
Food is good but staff are HORRIBLE!! 8 people behind the counter and not 1 person designated to take orders. Get ORGANIZED!!
google avatar

William H.

Yelp
Bushel N' Peck is very good at being what it is. It's a lunch place which does a little breakfast, and a little dinner. It's a little like going to the deli counter at your supermarket, with different prepared foods and drinks, but they really shine as a sandwich place. Every town needs a good place for sandwiches, and this is Grafton's. Need a midday bite, or a quick and easy dinner? Head and Bushel N' Peck, they'll take good care of you. I'd like to give a particular shout out to their steak tips!

Matthew D.

Yelp
Delicious food, friendly staff, great neighborhood business. Make sure and order the fried pickles!!!!

Bonnie S.

Yelp
First time in today. Waited 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Only for them to realize that they were out of what we ordered. 35 minutes later. Very unorganized, slow and just did not care.

Claire F.

Yelp
I was in a shop nearby and the clerk was having her lunch. It smelled so good I asked her where she got it. She told me bushel'n peck was right around the corner so over I went. It was after 1:00, so after the lunch rush. It was clean and well stocked. I was glad to see a prepared foods case, though I was sticker shocked to see items for as much as 12.99/pound. I chose the chicken broccoli and penne -- mostly penne with small pieces of chicken and broccoli -- 4 chicken and 5 broccoli. It was prepackaged so a good to go option. They offered to reheat it. That process took nearly 10 minutes because no one remembered that my order was in process. Pasta cooked properly. Very garlicky which I like. More black pepper than I care for. Overall a fine, but not outstanding lunch.
google avatar

Sherice D.

Yelp
Ok, so I've been living in Grafton for about a month and always passed this place....NEVER AGAIN!!! I surprised my husband with the fish and chips on Friday night and he absolutely loved it. The food was super good and fresh , I definitely will be going back today to try something else. The staff was super friendly ...customer service was just awesome. If you pass this place everyday like I do, stop in and try something , you will not be disappointed!!!! So much for me trying to lose 10lbs now!!!
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
What an amazing selection of sandwiches!! I have an allergy and they are always great about making sure my food is made separately to prevent any possible contamination. So appreciated.
google avatar

Bryan W.

Yelp
I have found one of the best sandwich and soup places yet! Oh man that Superman is a delight for a hungry person. The Sicilian meatball was very good and so was my wrap I forget the name but remember the flavor. Also the people here are very helpful and nice
google avatar

Jumping J.

Yelp
Terrific little spot to eat and I am always in your gratin location but I buy a lot from your new location in Westborough too. I do feel ripped though when buying watchussets brand chips since the bag is always 70% air. I appreciate the quality of everything else you offer but I'm boycotting the brand since my coworkers are also made that 8 chose those chips for them so get rid of watchussets chips or unfortunately my office and family won't be returning to your shops. Their office doesn't seem to care.
google avatar

Alex D.

Yelp
Makes some of the best Reuben sandwiches I've had in a while. Is super convenient for me and not a long wait at all for the good food you get. Definitely try the clam chowder at least once, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Melanie F.

Yelp
I want so much for this place to be good since it's very close to my home. It just isn't good, bottom line. My main complaint is that they use a fake butter alternative instead of butter for their Rubens and breakfast sandwiches. All I can smell and taste is Whirl. I know it saves $ on real butter but at what cost? Makes me wonder what else they are cutting corners with? Please stop using this product from the 70s and use real ingredients. Your customers will thank you for it. No more chances Bushel and Peck,
google avatar

Doc L.

Yelp
This is a great place to grab a sandwich and soup! The desserts are delicious as well and are freshly made! Great variety of unique sodas and juices and teas.... I look forward to coming back and further exploring the menu.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of B n P, and have visited the two Worcester locations numerous times. I finally had the chance to stop in Monday morning on my way to work to pick up a sandwich for lunch. I chose to try one of their Creative Sandwiches for the first time and was not disappointed. I had the Blowzer, Roast Beef, Turkey, Corned Beef, Provolone, Swiss Cheese, L-T-O, Mustard, Mayo, on Italian. The sandwich was HUGE, and it was delicious. It probably would have been better to get some chips and make to meals out of it, here was that much. Of course, it's fairly new, so I was not surprised to find it clean and inviting. There are about a half dozen tables if you want to sit down and enjoy your food right there. They also offer egg sandwiches at this location, it's been a while so I don't know if they do in Worcester. Unfortunately, I had already made the mistake of stopping somewhere else for breakfast earlier because there's nothing better then a freshly made egg sandwich. Was also good to see some familiar faces from the other stores.
