A dim sum-focused kitchen serving soup dumplings, shrimp dishes, and Cantonese staples. In 2025, cravedfw praised its precise execution and crowd-pleasing menu; the Frisco location’s site and recent diner reports confirm it’s operating.

Wanted to try a random place with a friend, and we did a little Google search and found this place. I am glad we went with this place and not the other choice we had, this place was really nice. The food is really amazing, and the service was great. We ordered from our table via an app, and they brought our food after a few minutes. If you have questions, they’re more than willing to assist. The dumplings were the reason why we chose this place, we kept seeing pictures of them, and they are absolutely good. We did go here on a weekday evening, and when we arrived, there was maybe one other party. But towards the later evening, more people started to show up. We had no wait time when we arrived(we arrived before 5 PM).

Absolutely one of my favorite places. I'm obsessed with their food. 🤌🏽🥰 Beef crispy noodles - delicious noodles...yum Shumai - 5* my go to Chinese broccoli- 5* can't go wrong Walnut shrimp - 5* my fave place to order from, literally jumbo deliciousness Bbq pork belly - amazing flavor 5* BBQ pork - is still good but I love the pork belly Soup dumpling - 5* Honestly, everything we have tried we love. I'm thankful that we have this place here otherwise I drive to Plano which is the next closest dim sum location. Scan QR code at the table, everyone at the table can add dishes and submit orders. Just pay attention in case someone double orders😅 Love this place and highly recommended. Usually, service is quick but sometimes our water isn't filled as often. Again, it's no big deal because everyone there is so nice and the food is delicious.

Google
I just might have found my fav new Chinese restraurant. Every single item on their menu was delicious! My favorite was orange chicken, the crunchy texture over orange sauce was magical. Definitely a must Try! Pecking duck was meaty and texture was crunchy! Well worth the amount.

Ordered crab rangoon, pork egg rolls, Wagyu potstickers (fried), pork mushroom dumplings (fried), pork pan-fried buns, and general Cao chicken. The rangoon is a bit heavy with the green onions, which I liked very much. The egg rolls were ok. They tasted pretty much like anywhere else. Both the potstickers and dumplings were very good. We thought the Wagyu tasted better than the pork mushroom ones. The buns were prepared well. To be honest, I'm the worst person to review buns. I have tried many places, and I am just not a fan of the bun itself. The general Cao was my favorite dish. It was spicy and rich in flavor. I would come back just for this dish alone. The food came out fairly quickly. The restaurant was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. All ordering is done from your phone. You scan the qr code, and it's set up for the table you're on. Everyone can order from their own phone, and it shows up on everyone's phone as well. I definitely will return.

Google
We had a great dinner at Bushi Bushi! We really enjoyed the process of ordering on our phones, and the server brought out our food so quickly! We tried the pork soup dumplings, chicken shumai, hot and sour soup, the bbq pork bun, and a side of steamed rice. Only complaint was that some of the rice seemed to not be fully cooked. But we didn’t come for the rice, so not a big deal! Atmosphere was great, and was reasonably priced. Soup dumplings were fantastic!

6/23/25: Bushi Bushi I went out with my mama friend today and stumbled upon this Asian center with so many Asian dessert shops and restaurants. We randomly picked this restaurant for lunch. 1. Steamed dumplings in garlic chili oil have a very starchy taste in the meat filling. 2. Soup dumplings skin was just too thick. Ginger was not served with the soup dumplings. Note: Selections for dim sum items are very limited. It is not a place I would go for dim sum or recommend for dim sum. 3. My friend ordered the stir fry beef with broccoli lunch special. Broccoli is fresh and beef is very tender. This is something I would order for my two little foodies. The sauce is not salty, but lacks flavor for me. My friend enjoyed this dish. 4. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken. The sliced white chicken breast is surprisingly very tender. Kudos for that. I really like the sweet and tangy stir fry sauce, which kinda somewhat has a citrusy flavor. If I come back, I would order this again for me, but I know my kids would dislike anything with a citrusy tangy sauce and bell peppers. Note: Steamed jasmine rice is cooked just right light and fluffy. The atmosphere is clean and the service is friendly. I did not have an internet connection and their WiFi didn't work so they let me order on their notepad instead. Overall, if you come here, I recommend trying anything with chicken because it's very tender and I seldom find any restaurants that can make their white chicken breast moist and tender.

Google
We ordered a variety of dishes including the sweet and sour soup, scallion pancakes, wontons, har gow dumplings, shumai dumplings, and noodles. Everything was delicious. The food leans on the saltier side—not in a bad way, but something to keep in mind if you prefer lower-sodium options. Service was excellent—the staff were friendly and polite. The atmosphere was really charming, with a stylish bar area that catches your eye as soon as you walk in. Ordering through a QR code was convenient and streamlined the experience. The standout dish for me was definitely the har gow—I’d come back just for those.

It was our pleasure to come try this dim sum place out after Independence Day for our Friday dinner. It is funny that the door sign asked customers to pull harder because they know we are hungry. It is a small sized cozy type of restaurant that looks lowkey fancy. The temperature was cold like 65F (yes, if an overweight person feels cold, it’s freezing for everyone else). Right when we had our orders in, I asked the waiter to turn up the AC and they respectfully did. When the food came out it looked great. However, the filling in the pork buns, and the ribs tasted a bit spoiled. The spicy boiled fish does the kick, but the KP chicken is unauthentic. It was supposed to be diced but they sliced it; it was supposed to come with peanuts and they didn’t have it. Very price restaurant that had us billed $78 for the food shown above. Wouldn’t say this is the best, but not bad for a try.

Yelp
I was craving some dumplings and found this place to come for lunch. There was no one in here at noon on a Wednesday so I was a little nervous. But after getting the food I'm not sure why unless I just missed a lunch rush. You do order from your phone which I wasn't the biggest fan of because the cell service inside wasn't the best. The egg drop soup was good but felt like it was missing something. Once I added some soy sauce to it though it was really good. The dumplings were good. Not the best I've had but good enough that I'll be back to try more things.

Yelp
All the feels for this place- great spot to try out the beautiful flavors of Asia. We tried so many dishes- our favorite was the beef congee. We had shrimp, Dumplings, rice, egg rolls etc. Service was very pleasant. You order using your phone and I believe the QR codes. Great space for sharing. Very clean and neat. A little pricey but great big portions. Flavors were spot on- the shrimp was super crispy but a little too salty for us. Overall, awesome spot. So glad we tried it out

Yelp
The pictures and reviews drew me while I was in the area and craving some soup dumplings. It's an incomplete product and if anyone from this establishment reads this review - please do random sampling on what you're making. Soup Dumplings don't hold and rip immediately when you try to pick them up. This is the ultimate failure for XLB. See pics for yourself. As for the other fare - mediocre Chinese food peddled to non-Asians. There are better flavors for the money in the area

Yelp
Had Saturday brunch here! The quality of the food was amazing! However, it took quite a while to get the food out, even though it wasn't that busy and they were at about 25% capacity. The waiters were extremely nice though, and the menu QT codes on the table allow you to order off your phone, which was convenient. The restaurant is very clean with lots of natural light and high ceilings. Lots of small and large tables.

Yelp
Friendly service in which you order online from your table. Food is very tasty and genuine. Their canned Sake is awesome. A place to return.

Yelp
I can't believe it took me this long to try out bushi bushi next to 99 ranch in frisco! The dim sum was so good! Was it the best I have ever had? No, however it is definitely the best in north texas! We tried a bit of everything- har gow, siu mai, chicken feet, tripe, black bean pork ribs , pork beancurd, hot and sour soup, and chili oil wontons. The hot and sour soup was nice and sour with lots of bamboo, thinly sliced black mushrooms, egg, and juliennes carrots. The only thing missing was red pepper flakes to give it some spice. My husband enjoyed the siu mai, the har gow, tripe, and chicken feet. Again, not the best he has ever had, but absolutely the best we have had in the dallas area. I thought the pork ribs needed some jalapeño to give it more flavor, the sauce was missing something. The bean curd was really tasty, the skin a little on the chewy side which I actually didn't mind. I did not enjoy the chili oil wonton, I guess I was expecting chili oil dumplings like most other dumpling houses in the area give you, but they actually give you the small wonton soup dumplings. I would pass on that and the pork ribs next time. I really like the ordering system via online so you don't have to wait for the server to take your order. The location is convenient to us and we are eager to come back and try other entrees and dim sum options.

Yelp
LOVED the interior and the set up. The tables had black table cloths, felt very high end and good quality. The wine selection looks pretty great. Food was excellent. We ordered from the Dim Sum menu. Everything was cooked well and great flavor. Really good dumplings, tried a few of them. The tripe was very good too. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I love this restaurant! Tasty dumplings, radish cakes, congee, and noodles with quick service and a clean environment. Nice chill atmosphere with tasty dim sum options!

Yelp
(Tony Leung voiceover) The vibe is fabulous hidden place for Peking Duck! QR code ordering can be fun! There was Peking Duck soup! And the Peking Duck was excellently prepared! Crispy! Elegantly thin slices! The young lady showed me the proper technique. Rice wrap, duck, veggie slivers, and hoisin. Fold it! Wrap it! Wolf it down! The service was fast and unobstrusive! Eggplant! Gingery! Xiao Lung Bao! The soup is exquisite! Green Beans! Perfect! Beef w/ Pan Fried Noodles! Hearty! Hot Soup w/ Beef & Tripe! The Sichuan peppers are tingling hot spicy delish! Wow! Dangerously satisfying...am I right, Xiaojie! Would order everything again! Woohoo!

Yelp
A decent Chinese restaurant, the ordering process is easy with a link scanned from the table.

Yelp
Dinner before Thxgvg holiday with husband and daughter. Restaurant was crowded, but we still received great service. Just like previous visits, the crab rangoons, chicken fried rice, and shumai stole the show. Restaurant was bustling, but service and cleanliness did not suffer in the least. QR code makes ordering a breeze. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Brenda K.

Yelp
Your normal dim sum place, the texture is pretty good for the rice noodle with shrimp! The service was great! It was very quiet and our waitress was very friendly!
google avatar

Hana W.

Yelp
The food was good and so was the service! You can order straight from your phone to the table. The congee was amazing, and the dim sum was very tasty. I enjoyed the soup dumplings and cucumber salad the most. The chili crisp provided on the table is delicious as well.

Yelp
1. Service - Staff is very attentive and friendly. I did appreciate that they anticipated our needs. This is an a-la-carte restaurant, which means that you wait to be seated, order, and pay at the table. To order, scan the QR code on the table and start ordering. The waitress will bring you your check when ready. You don't pay by phone. 2. Price - A bit pricey for dim sum dishes. For example, one tray of Har Gao (Shrimp Dumplings) normally is $3-$5, they charge you $7.50 for an order of 4 dumplings. This could be two trays at a typical dim sum restaurant. 3. Ambiance - Modern and industrial. Dress code here is casual. Come as you are. 4. Food - I like their MONGOLIAN BEEF and their SOUP DUMPLINGS. I came here with the intentions of having some dim sum. But I wasn't very impressed. I think someone may have mislabeled this place as a dim sum restaurant. While they do have some dim sum selections, they don't have everything that a typical dim sum restaurant provide. There are no carts, only order from the menu. They don't have any kind of baos (buns), egg tarts, fried taro balls, sponge cakes, and noodle rolls. They serve other entrees, but don't waste your time coming here for a dim sum experience. Just come here for a Chinese restaurant meal. 5. Cleanliness - very clean dining area. This staff is on top of keeping everything in tip top condition! SUMMARY Food is edible, but because this is not a true dim sum restaurant, and overly priced when it comes to dim sum, I took away 2 stars. Other than that, my experience here was enjoyable. If I rate this for purely as a Chinese restaurant, it's a 4 out of 5. Other entrees were also a tad more expensive than I would have expected.

Yelp
The service here was fairly quick and nice. The restaurant has a very elegant look and the menu's were all digital on a qr code at each desk which is very organized. I think the food is pretty decent, but not the best. I really liked the pork chive dumplings and the spicy oil wontons were pretty average and small. The soup dumplings were also very good as well. Overall good spot.

Yelp
A great place to dine! Staff is so friendly and the food was fresh and hot. Everything we ordered was delicious.
google avatar

Samavi A.

Yelp
We stumbled across this place as we were in the area. So excited to find a dumpling place and one with chicken soup dumplings. However we were disappointed to learn there is pork in the chicken soup dumplings so we could not have it. However it does not take away from the fact that everything else we ordered was delicious. The crab Rangoon was one of the bests I've had. The shrimp dumpling was scrumptious and the walnut shrimp was out of this world.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Oh Mmm Geeee! I was in the mood for some good dumplings in my area (Frisco) so I looked up some places and saw the ratings here were pretty good. I went to two male friends and we ordered the pork buns and soul dumplings for appetizers. Spot on! No complaints at all. We each ordered a different entree and we all left our plates clean. You have to order using the QR code at the table and they bring the food out to you. That wasn't an issue at all. And the restaurant itself was clean and well put together. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items.
google avatar

Yelp
Bushi Bushi in Frisco is a great spot if you're craving delicious food without breaking the bank, i recently went here with my mother for some nice asian style food. The menu has a variety of tasty options, and the prices are super reasonable. I enjoyed everything I tried--definitely worth the visit for a satisfying meal. My only gripe is that you have to place your order online once you're seated, which can be a bit of a hassle and almost unprofessional - i just feel like if i'm going out to eat and sit then i would like the be waited on and not have to put my order in myself. Overall, though, it's a cute spot with good eats and good vibes. Worth checking out for sure.
google avatar

David W.

Yelp
It's good here. Not super busy. Great location. It has all the basic dim sum dishes but nothing too wild. It's dark in there but I didn't mind. Everything is ordered through your phone so some may not like that but it was nice and convenient .
google avatar

Jung L.

Yelp
Everything we ordered came out quickly and was delicious. We especially liked the flat noodles, fried rice, radish cake, and soup dumplings. The bok choy was fresh. The menu with pictures on their system to order was helpful. The food came out quickly and we will be back.

Yelp
After seeing the entertaining dancing noodles and mouthwatering dumplings on TikTok, we eagerly visited Bushi Bushi, only to find that select items are served at specific locations... At our table, we sampled a variety of dishes to share, including Soup Dumplings (Pork and one with Crab Meat), Hot Oil Wonton Dumplings, BBQ Pork, and more. While everything was tasty, nothing stood out as exceptional and dishes were pricey. Dallas boasts numerous Asian restaurants to explore from, and unfortunately, Bushi Bushi is one where one visit suffices.
google avatar

Haley H.

Yelp
Try this restaurant! Crab wontons were to die for and one of my favorites I've found in DFW. The soup dumplings were like a party in my mouth as well.
google avatar

Jungwon S.

Yelp
One thing I noticed is that unlike other dim sum places I am used to Bushi Bushi does not have the carts going around. I was a bit sad because I love looking at them before choosing what I want and I feel the loud clanking sound of the carts and smell coming out of the covered plates add to the experience. Nonetheless, the food here is really good. - Food: My favorite has to be the Crispy shrimp balls. Inside the crunchy shell is the shrimp paste, which is so chewy and juicy. We got Crab meat soup dumplings, Eggplant with Garlic sauce, and spicy squid dumplings. Out of all I would repeat everything but the spicy squid dumplings. They were not bad, but compared to the other exceptional dishes, it was a little underwhelming. Still decent though. - Price: I would say it is reasonably priced. Not super cheap dim sum as per dim sum is around $9-15, but tasted good so the price point makes sense. I am not sure if I am completely sold on that this is The Dim Sum place, but I know where to go when I'm craving shrimp dim sum.

Yelp
Food: 3/5 Service: Friendly and attentive, boxed out togo food for us I ordered dan dan noodles, eggplant w/ garlic sauce, hot oil wontons, crab rangoons, and soup dumplings. The dan dan noodles and wontons were both overly salty and difficult to eat. They tasted very "Americanized". The eggplant was fine, but the skin texture was a bit rough and hard to chew. The rangoons were great. The soup dumplings were good in that they had a lot of soup and good taste. The dumpling wrapper itself was a little gummy. Overall, food was salty and ok. Probably won't return
google avatar

Jennifer W.

Yelp
We love this place. They have cute dinosaur kid plates and kid chopsticks they let you take home. All dumplings we've tried have been tasty. Soup is hot and comforting. Fried rice is tasty too. Service is polite and attentive. We've always had a great time here. Tables are spaced well so it's never too noisy and doesn't feel crowded. Highly recommend
google avatar

ravi c.

Yelp
Ordered Hot Oil Wontons(Pork) and Veg Spring roles for takeout. Placed order online and received a text message once the order was ready. I was kinda taken back by the quantity of wontons and there was barely any hot oil too. Taste was decent, spring rolls were ok as well!
google avatar

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Juicy dumplings, shumai, and Mongolian Beef were all delicious! It's a cozy spot with attentive service. Looking forward to another visit.
google avatar

Robert G.

Yelp
Some of the worst soup dumplings I've had in DFW. The food quality seemed average and nothing especially stood out. For flavor, the sesame chicken was probably the highlight but the ingredient quality seemed lower than other places with fatty pieces of chicken. I think the football dumplings made two of us sick after eating and it's never a good sign when you question if meat served had been fully cooked. I feel like it has potential but just didn't meet up to the experience expected from reviews read.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised. Came here with a friend. We were craving some dim sum. Food was delicious and plentiful. Pricing was decent. It's a bigger place on the inside than expected. You can't tell outside looking in. Service was really good too. I will be back. Till then, let's eat!!!

Clayton B.

Yelp
This place is our go to Chinese spot. Everything is better than your standard takeout. The chicken dishes are not over breaded, and have a great taste. The fried rice is excellent. The hot oil wontons are unbelievable. 10/10

Yelp
I am Back!!!.. server Young!! Amazing!!!! He is the best! Friendly and very nice. Food as always. Splendid! Ambiance nice and clean loved it we will be back

Yelp
Food and service is very good! A bit pricey for dim sum but the flavor was great! Staff is quick and sweet

Yelp
Had a good time with my husband here! Friendly staff- food was pretty good too. No complaints!

Yelp
Highly recommend. The food was served quickly, piping hot and delicious. Ambiance was great. Mellow and intimate. The servers were very sweet and helpful as well. Prices were decent as well. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Food and their portions were great! We had soup dumplings, shumai and Dan Dan noodles with a few other orders that I can't remember the names of. Seevice was fast and our waitress kept our waters filled and checked on us at a comfortable pace. Great experience and would come back again.
google avatar

Yelp
If I could render ten stars I would everything ordered was just phenomenal here at Bushi Bushi. The service was fast and friendly as well as a super easy ordering method. So excited to see soup dumplings as I had been craving them and my goodness were they amazing. Also did am order of buns which I am particular about and again just fantastic. Tried the wonton which are very large and I swear you can taste every fresh ingredient and spice used. Rounded out with a fried dough dessert, spot on and tasted almost like funnel cake and was fried to perfection. Everything was perfect. I'll be back, as often as I can because the menu has so many options I'm eager to try.

M G.

Yelp
Food - delicious! Service - excellent! Ambiance - nice! Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Veronica H.

Yelp
Had an awesome lunch here and will definitely be back again! Popped in because I was next door getting my nails done and happened to see this place. I was surprised at how good it was and how many gluten-free options they had. The dim sum has gf items noted and I got both. The other menu has lots of gf options but you have to ask the server. I got the General Cou's Chicken and it was great, too. Love this place.
google avatar

Alex H.

Yelp
Bushi, Bushi, Your reply to my review missed my point completely. I said the big round table needs to have a "lazysusan" so family can share foods more easily. Go google what "lazysusan" is please.
google avatar

Julie K.

Yelp
4.5 stars!! Quick tip: QR code menu use camera and not QR reader for pulling up menu Menu- upload and order and submit, the kitchen will receive your order. Peach tea lemonade- not too sweet but lemony and refreshing Food came in fresh from kitchen nice and hot! Pork soup dumpling- comes in individual pie tins to hold their shape, a side of sliced ginger in a spoon to add add soy sauce and vinegar for dipping or putting into dumplings. Pork was tender and juicy, broth was meaty and generous inside. Sweet and sour chicken- white chicken meat w: crispy batter along w/ cut bell peppers and onions and sweet pineapple. It was sweet and not too sour sauce. Mapo tofu- one of best I had came steaming hot. This is perfect blend of spicy and brothy, the tofu was tender. This was so addicting! Would come here again, they had great variety in their menu
google avatar

Madeline Y.

Yelp
Although a bit pricey, the quality comes through. All the dumplings and wonton had a nice chewy texture. The flavor is delicious and it was hard giving up the last piece of whatever was left on the plate. The crab ragoon dipped in the sweet sauce is so delicious, the creamy filling and crunchy exterior is perfect. I wish it wasn't only two pieces for the price. The soup dumpling was hot and I almost burnt my tongue. The soup was yummy and a little vinegar added a perfect tang. Honestly, everything was great. I definitely recommend the hot oil wontons and dumplings and ugh. I do wish it was a little cheaper but it hits that dim sum craving.
google avatar

Anna Z.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Service was amazing, the food was 10/10, and atmosphere was perfect--casual and very clean. Loved it!!! Can't wait to come back!

Vanessa D.

Yelp
The restaurant was very ambient, quiet, and dark. The food was very delicious--we got the chili oil dumplings, soup dumplings, shrimp fried rice, and pork ribs (the chili oil dumplings were the best). It did take a while for the food to come out but it wasn't TOO bad. The service was minimal and good--I could focus on eating without being interrupted, my glass was full, and dirty plates and bowls were immediately taken away. Overall was a good experience, I do think that compared to other restaurants their servings are a bit on the smaller side though--nothing too special.
google avatar

Manvita M.

Yelp
My husband and I are big fans of asian food and this is the second time we have come here. We like the food here. I love their crispy shrimp balls. Their service is pretty quick too. We ordered the XLBs, Shrimp Shumai, Crispy Shrimp Balls, Shrimp Har Gar and spicy wontons.
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
Food was good but it was overhyped. The price was ridiculous and service was mediocre. No fountain drinks, ambience was great. Much smaller restaurant than I expected.
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Legit dim sum place and I'm from Hong Kong so I'm picky about dim sum. My parents also like this place when I took them. They have a location in Addison as well! The food is made fresh so there aren't the traditional carts. The flavors of everything I've tried is delicious. The only thing I find disappointing is that they run out of certain items quite frequently. The menu has always had at least one item on there that they don't have. I live for the footballs and the last 4 times I've been, it's only been on the menu as available once. Other than that, I do recommend Bushi Bushi if you're wanting good dim sum outside of Richardson/Garland.
google avatar

Lily P.

Yelp
Fancier dim sum. Doesn't have that 3.5 star Chinese restaurant feel - definitely more upscale. They have the traditional more common dim sum dishes as well as other common Chinese dishes. Missing a few of my personal dim sum faves. Service was good. Order from your phone makes it simple and convenient. Restaurants on the smaller side so I don't recommend large parties
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Very expensive. Maybe it's because of the location. The portion on everything is so small. Not worth it. Make sure you read the menu before getting a table. Check the pictures others have posted. Go to JS Chen instead. I'm done with this review. Post it/
