I had the XX-Hot tender plate. I love spicy food and man I was not disappointed. I can’t stop thinking about this place. Need to go back soon. Fries were really good too. They were crispy and flavorful.

I ordered online the Bussin’ Fries with the Mild spice level and I gotta say, pretty darn good!! I will definitely come back! I would love to have more coleslaw and sauce, but there was enough fries and pickles. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned but also juicy!

Instant favorite! The flavors, the portions and the service were perfect. You won't come here for the ambiance, though. There's limited seating outside. The lot itself looks a bit rundown. The food, however, was amazing. We ordered the double buns, and a bussin combo. The chicken was well marinated, with a perfect amount of spices and seasoning with a generous portion of fries and sauce. Their menu has halal chicken.

Had lunch with my gf and wanted to try this place I had seen from an instagram food influencer. I must say, these Buns are in fact “bussin”, this food was 🔥 (delicious)!! We got the double bun combo and each had one sandwich. We did the “hot” chicken on that and the heat was fine, I wouldn’t even call it hot tbh- maybe 4.5/10 heat level. I don’t like cole slaw but on the sandwich (how it comes) was good, it really just added an extra crunch. These sandwich’s were good, definitely recommend. The tender was good, just the same chicken that’s on the sandwich. My FAVORITE part about this place was the “bussin fries”. It’s fries conversd with Mac and cheese, covered with two chopped chicken strips with their Bussin sauce on top. These were soooo good, I highly recommend. This is a food truck, with the location in the parking lot of another restaurant. There is two uncovered picnic tables and two covered. We ate there but if you ask my opinion I’d rather take it home or eat it elsewhere. Also their drinks selection isn’t very large, so I’d bring a drink with you.

The food itself was quite good. The wait time is a bit long but it’s nice that they send you a text when your order is ready to pick up. Prices are decent, I think it’s worth trying if you’ve never had Nashville Hot Chicken. It would be better if they added more tables outside since there were only 2 when I visited.

My son found them on Instagram & insisted that we had to stop by to try the chicken strips! Bussin' Buns #4/Hot Tenders plate & #5/Mild Bussin' Fries & the rest was history! The staff was friendly, it was busy but the service was fast! The food was fresh & the temperature was perfect! We will definitely be regular customers!

10/10 certified bussin’ 😤 you won’t come here for the ambiance obviously, but you’re gonna love the piping hot, crispy chicken these guys are putting out. We got three hot tenders with the bussin’ sauce, and the tenders were actually spicy and flavorful. I have a decently high spice tolerance and I enjoyed the kick they had. Weirdly, one of the tenders tasted bland (almost like it hadn’t been marinated enough), but the other two were incredibly juicy and tasty. I know they’re relatively new, so they’ll probably work out the kinks. But the other two tenders were awesome so we will be coming back. Easily one of the best hot chicken places in Austin - way better than Gus’s or Tumble22.

The food was good but not an instant favorite. The sauce wasn't as thick as we'd prefer but it had some flavor. I ordered toast and got a thick piece of not toasted bread. It was good but not toast. The spice was perfect and I loved the bussin fries. The location is a food truck but there are some tables that we used across the parking lot or you could eat in your car. Austin has limited choices in hot chicken compared to our favorite truck in San Antonio. This place definitely satisfied the craving for hot chicken. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the service was great, Would recommend it!

So, for a small stand on the side of the road, this place has some fiery in their chicken. Most people think that small stands are 50/50 and never know what you are going to get. We'll have a good gamble on this one. The owner is the guy who takes your order and he has great customer service. It was not spicy enough for me what I ordered, so he threw some more spice and precooked it for me and no charge. I was amazed. They have some picnic tables to just relax and much. Or you can take it with you to go. Over all great experience.

Looks a lot better than it tastes.. unfortunately :( Food: I was so excited to try because I've seen many reels. I got the bussin fries: 2 tenders in the xxxtra hot level (hottest) over a bed of fries drizzled in the bussin sauce. The tenders were soft and tender and nicely crispy. No complaints for the actual chicken, but the flavor wasn't the greatest. For one, it was not spicy at all even though it was the spiciest level. Flavor fatigue hits hard and i cant even pinpoint a flavor profile for the meal. It was seasoned but not a strong seasoning it was just a load of one dimensional flavor..if that makes sense. It was good for a few bites but after a while it gets boring and tastes all the same. Service: Kind of slow because it is made fresh to order so I understand the wait. Ambiance: Its a food truck :) Overall I wouldn't go back..I prefer dave's hot chicken for this nashville hot chicken style

I got the Single Bussin Bun Combo- Mild Heat Level. It was SO FLAVORFUL. It is the same heat level as Tumble 22s Hot or Urban bird Mild, Now keep in mind we still had a 25 minute drive home and it was still so crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside of the chicken strip. The wait time for the food was about 20ish minutes, understandable because there were quite a few orders ahead of us. I kind of wish a sauce came with the sandwich combo like it does with the tenders combo. The fries were so tasty too! There are, if I'm remembering correctly, 3 tables outside of the food truck for you to sit and enjoy your food. Overall really delicious

I always drove by this place and finally decided to come check it out cause I love Nashville hot chicken. At lunch time on Friday, the wait was about 10 minute to get the food after you placed the order. I got the combo since I wanted to try both the sandwich and the tender. I got the "hot" spice level and it really wasn't spicy at all but great flavoring. The chicken was so juicy and the bread that came with it nice and fluffy! The only thing that was subpar was the fries. Next time, I'll just order the tender without the fries. Highly recommend if y'all are looking for some good Nashville hot chicken!

OVERALL: 3.5/5 My bf and I have been wanting to try this place after seeing so much rave about it. We ordered the tender plate level Hot with a side of ranch. After we ordered, we had to wait about 35-40 minutes for our food to be ready which was fine. (I would say order ahead if it's more convenient for you!!) The guy taking our order was cool and helpful with answering our questions. We inspected our food and realized they missed both our side of ranch and the side bussin sauce that was already included with the plate. Good thing we hadn't left the lot so we were able to snag those (after waiting in line again). FOOD: I was disappointed that the fries were not fresh after waiting so long. The tenders did seem freshly cooked. The hot spice level definitely had a kick but I wouldn't say it was overly spicy (I have a high spice tolerance fyi). Bussin Sauce was good! This place is Halal!

That's what I'm talking about. This fried chicken is what I've been looking for in Austin. Like.... It's so good. Tops Dave's and tumble 22, which are great places. When I ate my chicken I forgot to put the special sauce, and it was still not dry which is something that's not common. Not only that, but the dude up front was chill AF and made me feel welcome. If you want some good ass chicken, this is it.

Food taste good but after eating it my stomach had and still have so much pain. Idk if they don't check the expiration date on the chicken or sauce but I've been in the bathroom and throwing up for the past 3 days. For my fist time eating it I will never it this again. Thank you.

This place is dangerous--dangerously some of the best hot chicken in Austin! I got the hottest seasoning and it was just right. I would say it's around the Mo' Hot at Tumble 22. I got the Bussin Combo and the bread was really nice and their sauce is incredible. The chicken was juicy all-white meat. The staff was alright--I caught them as they had just opened and I am not sure the cashier wanted to be there that day. Order ahead! It took about 15-20 minutes for me to get my order as I sat in front of Terry's Seafood. It looks like non-cash fees are becoming a trend in this area which I don't truly mind at all.

Straight up BUSSIN. My boyfriend and I always pull up here every time we visit Austin (2-3 times a month). The food is so tasty and fresh. We love the "bussin combo" plate. I order "mild" or "hot" spice depending on my mood that day. I honestly love spicy food but can't imagine ordering past the "hot" level. The staff is cool and helpful, they even let us order once after pulling up after closing hours! Basically what I'm saying is, the food is BUSSIN!!!

Service - 3/5 How do you open a restaurant at noon and have no food prep done and it take 25 min for 2 orders. Ambiance 4/5 - a must / need to add umbrellas to the outside tables. Food - 5/5 - very fresh and flavorful! We got the bus bun singles with fries. One was hot and one was mild. Would do mild for both next time. Fries were fresh and had good seasoning. Love the bussin sauce! So the question you are asking is - is it worth the wait? Yes, BUT I would order ahead so I am not waiting there for 25 min.

BussinBuns serves up exceptionally juicy and flavorful chicken, a true delight for the taste buds. However, be ready for a longer-than-expected wait, which may test your patience. If time isn't an issue, the delicious chicken is worth the wait.

The name says it all! I got the Double Bun, & Bussin' Fries. (Hot for both) Chicken was crispy and nicely seasoned i was able to enjoy my food without burning my mouth. Only downers is i wish the combos came with a sauce on the side. Also, they don't have many drink options i would suggest buying a drink before you get there. (Jarito options only)

My friends found this place, and we were so excited because of all the good reviews. Another sign this place was great was the long line on a Monday at 3PM. We waited a pretty long time for our food, but everything was super good. I ordered the tender plate, and I'm in love with their sauce. The fries are seasoned pretty well, but I wish they were slightly crispier. The chicken is incredibly juicy, and even mild had a nice kick to it. I don't necessarily think it's worth the long wait, but I do think you get more bang for your buck given the portion sizes. I would definitely suggest getting an extra sauce if you're a sauce person and DOUSE your fries/chicken in sauce. I was also a bit disappointed to discover the toast is literally...just toast. I thought it would be like the Texas toast from Cane's.

I want to like this place, but they keep letting me down. They routinely mess up my delivery orders, and the fries never seem fresh. Great chicken, when actually get what I ordered. Maybe it's better if you go in person? I think I'm done with getting it delivered though; the quality control is lacking.

This. Is. It. This is *THE* closest I've come across Nashville Hot Chicken in Austin. We got the 2 sandwich combo with fries and some extra bussin sauce. I especially loved the crispy breading on the chicken. Very reminiscent of Dave's but the chicken was definitely fresher imo. The bussin sauce is really similar to a comeback type sauce. The fries were super season and paired deliciously with the bussin sauce. I wasn't a huge fan of the hot dog buns as the tenders were kind of bigger and I prefer a more bread to tender ratio (that's just me personally). But for about $14 for two juicy sandwiches with giant tenders and fries this place was value. The mild was pretty spot on. I ordered online and the food was ready in about 20mins. Loved that it was quick! Please open up a truck in South Austin!!

Admittedly I decided to try BussinBuns because their name drew me in, but WOW this is seriously a perfect hot chicken sandwich they're serving up. Their menu is pretty small but they know what they're doing here. I was debating between getting the double bun or single bun, and I ultimately opted for the single bun (heat level in hot, which to me was mild). The portion size of a single bun plus the fries it comes with is impressively filling, and the chicken was so perfectly seasoned and fried that it still remained moist. Nobody likes a dry chicken sandwich which is unfortunately way too common, and this is far from it. The fries were also well seasoned and crisp, and that Bussin sauce was so delicious that next time I'd like to order some extra on the side to dip into. My husband ordered the Bussin combo in extra hot, which was very filling (so it's perfect if you're really hungry!), and we found this level of heat wasn't too bad. Support them and order yourself some BussinBuns asap!

Bussin Buns food truck is Bussin!!!Randomly drove by & made a u-turn. Bussins Buns food was good and the portions were great as well. It is a wait because your food is cooked to order and made fresh.

If I can give this place -10/10 I would. Where do I start, the chicken is breaded and there is NO chicken. It's just fried bread in a bread bun. No wonder why it's called bussin buns and not bussin chicken. The service is HORRIBLE I waited over 30 min for 2 sandwiches and the cook sneezed really loud in the truck without covering his nose. Ambiance? It's a truck 0/10. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst yelp reviewer. Oh yea and I woke up with massive dia_____

Bussin This place was really goood! The food came out extremely fast, everything was hot and fresh! Sam's service was awesome, he was very nice funny and polite. He walked us through what kind of heat scale chicken we should get also.. this food truck is in a good spot, it's right off airport.. I would definitely come back here again! It's worth the wait! You can tell they use high-quality pieces of chicken and take care in breading/frying it. The taste is truly homemade. Also, it's great that you can select your spice level (1-4). I got level 3 and it's the type of spice to make your cheeks/forehead sweat a bit. Instead of going to Popeye's next door, go here instead!

the food was sooo good 9/10, very busy but honestly worth the wait. Only left 4 stars because my puddings weren't in the bag

Food- we got the extra hot and regular hot. I think the hot was better in the sense it had more flavor. The extra hot just tasted like chili seasoning but was still good. Get extra sauce to drown your sandwich in because they don't really put a lot of sauce. Service: super sweet and helpful! Ambiance: not much, it's a good truck! They have some seating but I just ordered it to go :)

chicken was so tender and delicious. i ordered the X-Hot spice and it wasn't too spicy. we got our order within 15 minutes. The Bussin sauce is creamy and delicious. Pickles were fire too. They have a few picnic tables you can sit at.

Really enjoyed the style of chicken tender! The Nashville style seasonings were really tasty and didn't drown out flavor of chicken. Sauce had great flavor and the fries were hot and crispy. Great to go meal! There are some picnic tables but unshaded so get really hot.

I decided to try this food truck after seeing someone on TikTok recommend it saying it was similar to Hattie B.'s, which is coming to Austin soon. I ordered the bussin' fries and the sandwich. Both were very good. We got the mild chicken which had just the right amount of kick to it and it was cooked perfectly. I've been to the Hattie B.'s in Nashville and I think this place is just as good. I will definitely be back!

Saw a tiktok of this place today and knew we had to try it asap. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The portions are great but the food itself is even greater! Our food came out pretty fast even though there was a handful of people there/waiting for their food. A must try if you're wanting quality food and quality flavor! PS beware as the hot is as it says...hot!

If you are ever craving a delicious chicken sandwich with a twist this is definitely your new go to spot. Bussin' Buns truly has some of the tastiest, most fresh and clean chicken sandwiches I have ever tasted in my life. as a chicken lover, this is definitely my new spot. The employees are also extremely sweet and understanding which makes this spot just as great! There is areas to sit and eat or you can play with friends as they have some games available there as well. All in all, a new hotspot with some of the best chicken sandwiches you will try. It truly is BUSSINNNN buns ! 10/10 highly recommend. I mean just look at the pics of the food, its incredible.

Yassss! This is how a chicken sandwich is supposed to taste! The "Buss'n" sauce is so good. Also, try the "Honey Hot" sauce on the side (it's only an extra 75cents).

I had this at the Austin Peace Academy festival and it was the first time I had Nashville style hot chicken right here in Austin and it is awesome! I had been waiting for years for someone to open Dave's Hot chicken here ever since I tried it in LA but this comes 99% close to that taste. I had the HOT flavor which is just the right level of spice. I would say the Hot flavor from Dave's Hot Chicken is a bit more spicier but I like the balanced taste of BussinBuns. I will definitely be coming to eat this more .

The food was pretty good I've seen reviews saying it is the best in Austin, but truthfully I prefer tumble 22 or Gus's. I like how there's tables with shade to eat at, and the employees were really nice! I would recommend if you want something new, but I would not call it the greatest in Austin.

Food is really good. Spicy levels aren't that spicy, but it has good seasoning. Fries are crispy and staff are always nice.

This is really HOT! I visited a few days ago, and my tongue is still burning. I had to stop four times to get ice cream before returning home. I thought the food would be milder, but I was mistaken; it felt more like I needed to visit the emergency room. I've been to other places, like Main Bird and Dave's Hot Chicken, and those places had better chicken that wasn't raw like bussin buns. If you decide to visit, I suggest packing milk.

Delicious fried chicken sandwiches! Served fresh. Plenty of parking and picnic tables to sit down at. The service was good and it's priced appropriately. We got a hot and a mild, if you don't like spicy go with the original.

Randomly saw BussinBuns online, and we're glad we did Their Chicken, whether in a sub or solo is really really delicious. So much flavor and so moist The gentleman that took our order was really friendly and chill.

My new favorite lunch spot. The extra hot bussin bun is soooo good. It's super spicy, but that's what I love. Not only is it spicy, but the flavor is really good and the tinders are always crispy. The bussin sauce is good as well. French fries are good - not the best I've ever had, but that's not the main focus anyway.

when I say fye this was good I'm from Chicago and I cannot find nothing good and this one is actually good !! I would say get a lil hot or mild but it did it's job !!
