The 18 Best Restaurants in Park City, Utah

"During Sundance, this traditional steakhouse is a hard-to-get-in hot spot where deals get done. The rest of the year, settle into a booth by the window and splurge on shrimp cocktail and crab legs, before slicing into a Butcher’s Block cut with accompaniments like sauteed wild mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, jalapeño bacon mac, and mashed potatoes." - Katie Shapiro

"Steakhouse/Sports Bar Even though Butcher's is a nice steak house ("elegance without arrogance" is the owner's motto), with one of the most appealing bars in town (a full wall of gleaming bottles behind the bar, views of the Town Lift just outside the door), they double as a great place to go and watch the game. The late night menu is offered until midnight. Order the housemade potato chips topped with melted Monterey Jack and aged blue cheese."

Google
Solid steak house menu which plays up the sides and drinks more than the meat. Options from cowboy steaks to filets were great. The cook was good though slightly off from the temps requested. Probably worthwhile to order slightly rarer than you’re looking for. The sides were fantastic and deserved greater sales pitches than they received. The spiced carrots and garlic mashed potatoes are some of the best steak house sides I’ve had from east to west coast. The drinks were strong and well made. Would recommend for a nice guys out though saw plenty of girls nights out in the outdoor bubbles and indoors.

Google
Our go to dinner option. Fancy or casual night out doesn't matter. The food and service are excellent. Best appetizer and meat selection for a wide range of appetites. If you have a picky eater, this is the place to go. There is something for everyone. The Alpinglobe dining is very nice for a special occasion or large group. The dining room and even the bar are all nice options.

Google
Came for a birthday, but no acknowledgment was made of it (despite writing it in as a special request!) in addition, steaks were undercooked (rare instead of medium) and half the food came out cold. Staff was fine, nothing special. Way overpriced for the food and service! I can’t believe there are such high reviews. Given all the great restaurants in PC, I’d skip this one for sure!

Google
For me, I like when a steak house doesn’t try to put a spin on their dishes. Do the classics the right way is what I like in a steak house. Butcher’s Chop House and Bar delivered just that. The steak was cooked perfectly. The sides were delicious. And their Old Fashioned was tasty. Definitely one of the bet meals I had when I visited Park City.

Google
The food doesn’t justify the price point. My steak was cooked to temp but the sweet potato fries were soggy and mashed potatoes unseasoned. The steak tartare was tasty but again, not worth the price point. Also, my girlfriend’s asparagus was cold and the bread was hard enough we banged it on the table to laugh about it.

Yesterday, I ate at butchers for the first time. I’m new to the area so I was craving a steak. I ordered my steak medium. When I got it, it was very tough. The lobster was ok but the steak was not. My bill was $300 and I could have went to Texas Roadhouse and had a better steak.

Google
We had a very nice dinner here. We have been here before and will be back. The food is very good. We had the special Elk fillet, the Ahi Tuna dish, and the ChopHouse burger. Two people had the Elk. One cooked rare and the other medium rare. There was definitely a difference and we all agreed cooked exactly as ordered. The Elk was very good. More flavor than a Beef Fillet. The edges of the elk were a little chewy it was in a bad way. The seared Ahi was very flavorful as well. The burger was very juicy. The sides were fine. The cooked carrots were a little bland. The mushrooms and the Brussels were good. The service was excellent! We didn’t try a desert. They have cool tables outside in bubbles that look like a nice experience. Need to reserve those it looks like. If you found this helpful follow me. I don’t give many 5* because I reserve that for the very best in food, service and experience. I try to be quick to the most important stuff, the food. Then add notes about the rest. Enjoy!

Google
My prime rib was pretty much raw, far from the medium rare that I ordered. Cocktail shrimp was terrible. Beet salad was great. My dates rib eye was great.

Yelp
Extremely pleased from beginning to end. Best food we've ever had. Got the Green Bean Tempura and Aioli sauce appetizer, Filet, Lobster, Mashed Potatoes, Mushrooms, Cheesecake, Crème Brûlée, and Brownie Sundae. Not one complaint or critique. Our waitress was wonderful: very attentive, friendly, and had a great attitude. The ambiance in the bar area was nice and tables were clean. Would highly recommend. We will be coming back for sure.

Yelp
Wandering PC and popped in for a great happy hour at this joint. Great local beer selection! We stick to the apps... Calamari, arancini, spinach artichoke dip... what more could you want? Ambiance is moody saloon, service was prompt and friendly, and prices were great! Next time we are in Park City We will be back for the HH!

Yelp
We did dinner in an Alpenglobe for 8 during our vacation to Park City and it was great! The Alpenglobes are actually really comfortable and spacious and it makes for a fun dining experience. We got a couple appetizers and then most of us got the filet which comes with garlic butter and 2 sides. All of the food was really good, especially the jalapeño bacon mac and cheese side. I would recommend this for anyone looking for something different to do on vacation in Park City!

Yelp
Had the opportunity to dine here with friends a few weeks ago and had an amazing dinner. Great service and ambience and the steaks were outstanding. Great price point and wonderful way to wrap a day after skiing. Will be back next time I'm in park city

Yelp
A great location for happy hour in Park City! My husband and I spent the day in Park City and stumbled into here after seeing the happy hour/bar menu specials! We had the ravioli, spin dip, and beef (along with drinks, of course). It was a cool vibe but ruined a teeny bit by the loud drunk guys in the bar recounting their day on the golf course. Bartender was great and doing a nice job training a new staff member.

Yelp
Dinner for 18 in 3 Alpenglobes was flawless! Michael our server was attentive, had great recommendations, food came out hot and timely.

Yelp
Didn't eat here. We went in and made a reservation. The place reeked. Smelled like they hadn't cleaned their oil traps in a long time. We decided to cancel our reservation and go elsewhere. Looked like a tourist trap as well.

Yelp
Most excellent place for a steak. My wife enjoyed a fillet mignon and I was enthused to try buffalo steak. Buffalo was fine. Nothing too crazy, no averse reaction. Argentinian Malbec was excellent. Staff deserves five stars if five stars are offered.

Yelp
A lot can be improved but let's start with the service. Absolutely terrible. Our waitress was rude, and made the whole experience not worth the hype. On a positive not the vibes gave off elegance and there were cool secluded seating options outside, but unfortunately, they were taken. The steak was okay but nothing special. The drinks were disgusting and when we asked about them we weren't even offered new ones. I've never had a dirty martini that was equal parts if not more vermouth than vodka. Momma didn't raise a quitter so we downed the shot of vermouth aka the "dirty martini," had two bites of our food and took the rest to go. It wasn't worth taking up a table when the food, drinks and service were such a fail. The to go bag was the funniest part. For what you pay you'd think they'd give better bags to hold the food. My advice, don't waste your time or your money. You will be disappointed. And if you still feel like giving it a shot, then at least do yourself a favor and don't order a dirty martini.

J M.

Yelp
Ribeye was done just right for me and sides were cooked to perfection. Our server made sure that everything was just the way we wanted it. We did not wait on a Monday and really enjoyed the taste of the food and convenience of the overall experience.

Yelp
Don't waste your money or time here. We had reservations on 2/1/2025 at 4:45. The hostess was rude, and I felt I was bothering her. The restaurant was 3/4 empty. We were escorted to our table at the right section, where she stopped and told the staff to grab their lunch boxes and leave. They were eating at the customer's table. It Generally wouldn't be a big issue, but this is to be a high-end steak house. She sat us next to the waiter area, with the entire section empty. We asked the waitress if we could move to a table away from the staff. She said sure, "sit here," and walked away. We moved our drinks and menus. I ordered 16 oz steak, and my wife ordered pork chop. Her pork chop was dry and tough to cut. If you look at my steak, it was cooked frozen, and it tasted like it. See the photo. This was the smallest 16 oz steak I've seen. Been there, done that. I won't be back; it's a waste of $180.

Yelp
The fire alarm went off halfway through our meal and we had to box up our meals and leave. Obviously not their fault, but no break on the bill or even a free cocktail for a future visit. The manager told us that Utah law prohibits compensating customers for a bad experience.

Yelp
If you're in Park City and craving a meal that could redefine your top 5, look no further than Butcher's Chop House & Bar. One of my friends -- a true connoisseur of fine food -- declared it not only one of his top 5 meals ever, but possibly the best meal of 2024. The steaks? Perfect. The sides? Pure comfort food bliss. And the drinks? They know their stuff--killer Old Fashioneds, expertly paired wines, and espresso martinis that might just ruin all others for you. Add in warm service and a cozy mountain-town vibe, and you've got a dining experience worth bragging about. Go hungry, leave amazed.

Yelp
This place was outstanding. My mom, sister, and I did a staycation in park city and came here for dinner. It was delicious! Let's start with the appetizer. For me this wasn't the best spinach and artichoke dip. It was overloaded with onions in my opinion so you really lost the other flavors. I'm also not an onion fan so that wasn't the best for me. The bread basket was great according to my mom and sister. Sadly I couldn't enjoy it as I am gluten free but it smelled wonderful. Next, the entrees. The burger- this is what my mom ordered. She had it with sweet potato fries. It was so good. The burger was cooked perfectly and the bacon was delicious. Definitely a great choice. Filet- my sister ordered this and the steak was cooked to perfection! Every bite melted in your mouth and it was phenomenal. The asparagus left something to be desired. It was a little undercooked and bland. At a place like this I expect something special with the veggies. The mashed potatoes were delicious and very well seasoned. Surf and turf- I ordered this and it was SO GOOD. I love lobster and the tail was cooked perfectly along with the filet this was one of the best meals I've had in my life. My meal came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was all wonderful. If I ever come back I'm getting this again. The service was great and I measure that really by the fact that our drinks were always full. Our server was Gavin and he was very attentive and offered great insight into the menu. The vibe was quiet even though there were several tables full. All in all we had a fantastic experience there and we would definitely go again.
google avatar

Reuben P.

Yelp
Cool vibe place. I got the ribeye and it was decent. Not worth the money. For less money and a better steak, I like Theresa's Italian Steakhouse at Legacy Resort. But my friend had the prime rib and that looked good so I might go back to try that.
google avatar

Charisma V.

Yelp
Our server was friendly but the food was average and overpriced. My husband's prime rib was very fatty with very little flavor. The filet minon was ok, but the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from flakes. The "Caesar" salad did not taste like any Caesar salad I have ever had. The dressing was like barely seasoned mayo. The walls and wood trim work next to our booth table were dirty and spotted. We would not come back here.

Yelp
Ok so it's Park City Utah. Bring your wallet because everything here is pricey. For the area, it's somewhat upscale. Could use live music or any type of music to drown out others conversations. Our server was Gavin. Very nice man and had great recommendations. However ordered his favorite soup to start with (potato) and was really looking forward to it. Started with some bubbles which was fantastic. Bread and butter was just, "Ok." Was still waiting for my soup when a server dropped the dinners down. Dinners were correct but Gavin never came to check on us. So by the time he eventually made it over, we were done and the soup debacle was past me. We could have used another round as well but at this point, we were ready to leave. Stars of the show were the wait staff. They observed all the tables and were almost competing with each other to clean plates, refill beverages and bring out food. There was a large party next to us so maybe my soup went to that table? We'll never know. I don't think I'd give this place another try. Kind of once you've been, it's not screaming for you to return.

Natalie H.

Yelp
Nice dinner to end our trip! My husband and I had the prime rib which was excellent! My little LOVED the kids Mac and cheese and asked to go back again! Definitely make a reservation!

Yelp
This review is for dining in the Alpineglobe -- an outside pavilion for one group. It's an adult version of caramel apple -- something you don't quite believe is an actual thing you can actually have. It was worth it! The experience was lovely and exactly what we wanted: a private area just for us (a family of 6), with 360 view of the town, mountains, city lift and lights. We shared 4 different steaks, all great, all served sliced for easy sharing, with 8 generous and interesting sides. Good vine choices. Good cocktails. One star off for snags in experience, which is disappointing with $500 expenditure minimum: it was our daughter's birthday, which I marked everywhere possible, as invited multiple times thought the reservation funnel, and it wasn't acknowledged in any way. Reservation slots are a reality, but feeling rushed to meet them not welcome. Deserts are steakhouse deserts (we didn't try any) -- again, makes sense, but not at this price point.

Justine N.

Yelp
Food is good and enjoyed the meal, but you will be disappointed with the check. Overpriced food (65$) for a 4oz steak. Service is not poor, but servers rushed us to eat and food was ready way too early without any time to digest. Waiter tried to take appetizer away before I was done eating. And the steak tasted like my dad's BBQ. The Mac and cheese we got was cold/room temp. The starter bread was also soft and felt like it was microwaved and the butter tasted like shortening. Our check came out to over 140$ WITHOUT tip and it seemed really steep for a two person meal. Would not come by again. They also charge an extra 10$ for splitting an entree, so our $65 dollar steak turned into 75$.

Robert J.

Yelp
Very good service, and old-time, clubby Park City atmosphere. Food was good, but a little too expensive for what it is.
google avatar

Ursela H.

Yelp
Standard steakhouse we had an amazing time here the food was excellent. Although we did tell them one of the girls in our party was celebrating a birthday nothing was sent out they must not service for these events and the server kept forgetting things like to ask the type of ginger beer and my sugar for my coffee. The ambiance was a dark steakhouse. You will not go wrong by coming here.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
We dined here during offseason November 2022 and during dinner on a Wednesday night, most tables were filled. Our server was James and he was awesome, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. We ordered a Filet Mignon, side of crab legs to share, and a small beet salad. The food was satisfactory, it wasn't bad with it but did not have a wow factor/anything to write home about. I would recommend exploring other options on Main Street if you are looking for a wow factor meal.

Yelp
I'm shocked! This place should be rated higher. We came in on a 9p w a party of 7 hungry and w all the other nearby restaurants filled up. They were able to seat us last minute. I was so pleasantly surprised - spinach artichoke dip 9/10 - meh the cocktails weren't great 6/10 - EXCELLENT lamb chops 10/10 - prime rib 9.5/10 - filet mit on 9.5/10 - the sides were so good. you get two sides per plate! jalapeño mac, asparagus, brussel sprouts, mushrooms were all fantastic parking was easy. super large garage that connects to a hotel. service was slow, took 40+ min to get served but such is life an easy meal for a hungry group of folks!

David C.

Yelp
We have been to park city 5+ plus trips in the last year alone and always have an enjoyable time at each restaurant and and event we partake. I would definitely recommend butchers chop house as one of the top we have enjoyed . The lamb chops + mint jelly were the best I've ever had and one of the best meals I ever had had in many years at a restaurant. The reason I had to bring the rating down from 5 stars to 4 was due to the service, I feel our waiter was not very attentive and would drop items off with out asking if we needed anything or making us feel comfortable. I would recommend for the food but be aware the service is not the best in my experience.
google avatar

Emily K.

Yelp
We were really looking forward to having what we thought was going to be a DELICIOUS steak dinner... boy were we gravely disappointed. Initially, I had planned to get a gazebo for us to enjoy the scenery outside and the fun ambiance of having our own little personal snow globe while enjoying our meal, and I am SO glad we didn't waste the $150 on that, we would have been even more bummed about the tragedy of a meal we had. The server we had was very kind and attentive, however I still ended up with the wrong entree, and so my partner started without me. His steak was very much over cooked and once I got the correct entree, we realized we both had overcooked steaks. He had the NY strip and I had the surf and turf. My lobster had some serious funk to it and was not cleaned properly during preparation, I was cleaning the gunk out and forcing down each bite before I gave up on the VERY tough textured lobster. They tried to remedy it by taking $10 off our check and giving my partner a free cocktail, which we appreciated, I still can't say we would consider returning, though.

Yelp
Expensive, but you are in Park City. Had the Fillet Oscar and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, quick attentive service, cocktails were unique and tasty, and atmosphere were upscale and homey. It was worth every penny.

Caleb J.

Yelp
We made our reservation for 8, we called and asked if they could seat us earlier. They said to show up and there would be a good chance they could get us in. That never happened... We showed up at 6:15 and They even had a table open the whole time we were waiting. But we waited until 8:05. Then the service was a bit slow. The food was amazing, everything tasted delicious. I had the 8oz filet with bacon Mac and mushrooms
google avatar

Kaitlin B.

Yelp
Best steak I've ever had! My husband and I got the filet It was so soft and tender and cooked perfectly to my liking! The drink I got was also so delicious and made just how a cocktail should be made! Definitely recommend I'd come back to park city just for this steak!
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
Two trips to PC. Two trips to Butcher's. Always Great! We all had prime rib. So great!

Micki A.

Yelp
Steak was absolutely delicious!! Service was great. Hostess desk could use some help.

Diane S.

Yelp
The food is delicious! We tried both the pizza & French dip sandwich. The aged beef was perfection at its best.
google avatar

Daphne J.

Yelp
Arrived in town "late" on a Monday night and this was one of the only restaurants open in town. Menu options were decent-though a tad bit limited for my tastes-but there is something to be said for a small menu that an establishment does very well. My review is not as fair as it could be because I visited a chop house and had no chops. My colleague did have the filet-he said it was good. We dined at the bar- bartender was gracious and helpful. Salad-not too yums-just average. Soup was decent-salty. Dessert was good. My bad though- when in Rome lol. If I go again, I will unleash my inner carnivore.
google avatar

Joshua M.

Yelp
Came in for dinner, was told a 20 min wait but was able to sit at a table in the bar area right away. Staff and server was friendly and helpful. Cocktail menu had a couple of good selections. The pow loam and smokey old fashion were both good. Ordered the 8oz filet for dinner with jalapeno Mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. Both appetizers were pretty good. The filet was cooked perfectly but the cut wasn't anything mind blowing, perfectly cooked okay steak. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and drinks. Good little spot for dinner.
google avatar

Cole D.

Yelp
Amazing service. Don't get the baked potato as a side. Really enjoyed celebrating my sister's birthday here. We are in the closed bubbles outside. Really unique. Beautiful at night. Plenty spacious. We had 8 people inside. I got a steak with a baked potato and wild mushrooms. The mushrooms were good. The steak was good. The baked potato tasted burnt on the outside. I didn't like it at all and had to stop eating. I'd recommend mashed potatoes or the Mac and cheese. We got a free dessert because of her birthday which was so nice. And really yummy.
google avatar

Vince S.

Yelp
Great place! We received impeccable service from Ryan!! Food was unique, fresh and not over priced for Park City, Utah. The buffalo ribeye was to die for and the filet and shrimp didn't look to shabby itself either! You've gotta try the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese ! Nice patio seating area is available with umbrellas.
google avatar

Katy K.

Yelp
Amazing food. Amazing service. We love this place! Worth every penny!!! It's a great date night spot or family friendly...
google avatar

Corrine Y.

Yelp
My husband and I had a delightful time at Butcher's! We had such a great time I forgot to take food pictures! The wine selection is great. We both ordered steaks. My filet was fantastic. My husband got a NY strip and it was the best one he's ever had. It wasn't tough like usual. The bacon jalapeño Mac and cheese was delicious and very unique. For dessert, we ordered crème brûlée and peanut butter old fashioned. I recommend this combo. If we come back to Park City, we will be back here!!
google avatar

Thomas N.

Yelp
My friends arrived on a Friday afternoon around 430pm and no one was in the restaurant. They proceeded to ask the hostess about the outdoor snow globes that you can dine in but was abruptly cut off by the hostess immediately with a "no." Couldn't even get info on the snow globes/igloos, so just settled to ask for a table for 4 people. Hostess responded rudely that we would need to be done eating and out of the restaurant by 6pm... terrible attitude by the hostess left a very bad taste in our group right off the bat. After getting seated my friends sat with no servers to come by for at least 20 minutes and a couple who was seated after them got their drinks and food even before my friends got their waters. After 20 minutes of waiting finally asked for a manager who got us a server, Jeremy and Katelyn came to save the day to take our orders. The dessert chimichanga was excelleny and was the highlight of this visit. Overall terrible service for a restaurant with a higher price point for mediocre food, would expect a lot more from an establishment that tries to act as an upscale restaurant. I guess when you're in a touristy area you can get away with this, but won't have my or my friends' businesses when we return to PC!

Mark P.

Yelp
We chose this restaurant off the list and what a lucky pick. Our server was charming. She hails from Argentina and we enjoyed talking with her. The steaks were perfectly done; scrape a little bierre sauce onto your mashed potato and asparagus - to die for. We elected to take steak with us and have dessert - good call. Crème brûlée delicious!
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Our server had major attitude and his attire was sloppy and displayed the lack of care he showed. The food was great, prices reasonable, and ambiance was just about perfect but our server was obnoxious with his bad energy. Staff fills up your water 20+ times no joke they have that down lol. Checking in was manic w/ the place packed, likely full of Sundance peeps but if you have reservations to dine walk pass the entrance bar check in and go up to the restaurant check in.

Yelp
I'm visiting park city in late Nov so it's not "peak season" and didn't have to make a reservation. We were told the bar area had better atmosphere and that was a good recommendation. They have a happy hour until 7 and the menu items are $7. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Our service was amazing so extra star there. The food was served quickly so extra star there. My old fashioned was made perfectly so extra star there. How can I not give them 5 stars? Here's what we ate: Macadamia Crusted Halibut- crispy and flaky crust with a jelly sauce that ties it all together- tasty but I had to add a little salt. $32 Happy hour beef short ribs- Show Stopper of my dinner. Cooked to perfection! I actually placed 2 orders for this -$14 Classic shrimp cocktail- can't go wrong $7 Butternut squash ravioli- this was just ok $7 Old fashioned- made just right $10.5 For a steakhouse, the prices are reasonable. We had a nice dinner, 2 signature cocktails and our bill was about $100. I would definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
JV steak house. Eating in the yurt was like a being in a truck stop. Food was okay but some things were delivered cold. Wine prices are insane for average juice. Server was good and very nice. It's a meal but not date night quality. Disappointed
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
I had a very nice dining experience at this venue. The ambience is casual but classy with excellent service and a friendly staff. The restaurant is popular and busy with many guests. The food was excellent and I had the filet with mushrooms and bacon sprouts which were delicious. They offer a full bar with classic cocktails and a nice wine selection too. The dinner rolls are light and flavorful coming out of the oven. I tried the bread pudding which was outstanding topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel sauce. The pudding was very light and not the normal dense consistency that I've had. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Thanking Dinner was amazing. Awesome staff and great experience. Bar is the best place for dinner and drinks.
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Fabulous dinner here. Dined al fresco on a beautiful evening. Although prices in PC are generally elevated due to the tourist presence, our dinner here was very reasonable. One of the best perfectly cooked prime rib dinners that I have ever had. Combined with a Daou Cab I was a happy guy
google avatar

Jill L.

Yelp
Ate at Butcher's last week. Service was average at best. Had to ask multiple times for water, server seemed disinterested. Food was good, but not great for the price.
google avatar

Yelp
Two of us had an excellent dinner at the Butcher's Chop House & Bar in Park City Utah. The waiter James was professional, quick, got our orders right, and kept an eye on the table. My 14 oz New York steak was very flavorful and prepared correctly. My buddy's prime rib was excellent. Considering the cost we both thought the high priced entrees should have included a side soup or salad and the available sides were good but not excellent. Overall service was excellent, waters were refilled, plates cleared promptly.

Yelp
I agree with the other recent reviews...I was surprised this restaurant only had 3.5 stars. The bread was incredible to start off our meal. Definitely 5 stars Prime rib with jalapeño Mac/Brussel sprouts 5 stars NY with mashed potatoes/Brussel sprouts 5 stars Service was good, not outstanding. We had no issues to speak of. Will definitely return and highly recommend!
