An excellent fine dining experience in Mt Pleasant. Well-run operation, quality management and precise staff. Creative cocktail menu, quality ingredients. The meats shine here. Aged, smoked, prime. Impressive all around. Will absolutely go again.

GREAT Experience! Fine Dining, Top of the line unique and refreshing drinks, and Wonderful Service. Our food was exquisitely prepared, it was both beautiful and flavorful. From the fried Green tomatoes, Sausage sampler to the Wood fire Oysters, Everything was prepared, seasoned, and plated to perfection. My medium well filet mignon was out of this world! Every bite was a delight and those little potatoes (Fingerlings) were Magnifique! Our Server was Toussaint and he did not disappoint. A gentleman and a true Professional. He never skipped a beat!!! All of the staff wore masks and latex gloves, while maintaining their social distance. The Butcher &The Boar was in complaince of CDC guidelines which was a relief. My party traveled 5hrs from NC for this meal. We were safe and very well taken care of! Kudos to the Great Staff and Owner!!!

Went there for a friends wedding dinner/reception and it was absolutely amazing!!! The food was soo good, a great variety and there was so much of it. FYI - the scallops were to die for! The hosts and wait staff were very professional and friendly. Will definitely go back to check it out for dinner!

Five Stars in not enough to show how happy we are with our experience working with Butcher & Boar to plan our wedding reception. Due to COVID we had to downscale significantly and rethink our wedding and reception. We went from 100 guests to 18 of our local friends. Courtney is an absolute dream to work with!! There was no stress or guessing. She was helpful, quick to reply and paid attention to all of the tiny details. Perhaps most importantly THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! It's going to be tough for our caterer to match this level of cuisine when we have our reception with the full guest list next year. We booked the Boar Room and it was absolutely perfect. It's private, spacious and has it's own bar and bathrooms. Although it wasn't what we originally planned, it was a perfect day. HIGHLY recommend!!

Went for brunch as Charleston is a brunch town. We sat at the bar and it was not busy at all. Our first bartender didn’t know anything about the menu and rather than ask for help, he just left us. I had to grab another bartender who was extremely nice and helpful. Luckily for him he explained how the menu worked and we got our order in for the family style brunch and bottomless mimosas. The food was good but to not really have many options other than a $35 feast isn’t going to do well with competition. It’s good the first time but we aren’t going to want to go back and get that again. Their a la carte menu is very small and odd items that aren’t filling. I will say their brisket and shrimp and grits were really good! Back to the service, we sat time after time with empty glasses. We had to keep grabbing someone to get any attention and it’s not like the bar was busy. The one bartender that took our order, wish I got his name, was definitely the best but he seemed to be the main guy back there and kept busy. When our food was done, they took our glasses too, not asking if we wanted another drink since we were bottomless. For the record, we had 3 mimosas, it wasn’t like we were pounding them lol All in all, the space is beautiful but not sure who they are trying to attract there.

We were loyal diners of the Minneapolis location for years (which has recently closed), so we had to make a trip to the SC location while we were vacationing in Charleston! We ordered all our favorites and everything was perfect - just as we remembered it. We had the burger, beer & shot deal, the Brussels sprouts, and cheddar wurst and stuffed ourselves beyond full. Can’t stress enough how absolutely delicious everything was! Also came home with some souvenir merch including a hat and tshirt. Service was outstanding and really made our night, and we enjoyed the live music on the patio. We hope to see a B&B location in Chicago some day...

The lighting is perfect and the seating was just as great. We started outside having drinks before moving inside for our main courses. The food was fantastic! The staff was knowledgeable and prompt. We had 10 courses and everything tasted as if it was made for a king. The Steak Tartare was one of my favorites. The Red Hot Brussel Sprouts were a new twist on my taste buds. Full of flavor. (I recommend these for any one that hasn’t liked Brussels Sprouts in the past.) The Beef Hot Link was a foot long masterpiece. If I was by myself, I would have ordered two! The star of the show was definitely the Beef Long Rib. The meat was so tender I was able to cut it with a sharp glance. The flavors that were bursting out of this dish, is something you can only find with a seasoned chef. We washed down our meal with the house made Sangria and went home happy. We not only would recommend this place but have already! If in town visiting or a local looking for some of the best food in the low-country, Butcher and the Boar is the place to be!!! Thanks to everyone for the awesome experience!!!!

We used the private Boar's Room for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Courtney with B&B showed us the available rooms in person and described all possibilities between them including dinner/drink arrangements. We decided on the Boar's Room because it was not only beautiful and large, it was easily able to seat 30 guests comfortably, had a private bar with bartender, tv for slideshows etc if desired, private music source (we had a pandora station playing), private bathroom, and our own servers. Everything was easy to arrange with Courtney who was great in person and via email. She even had name cards and menus arranged at a seating layout we sent her in advance. The staff was very professional, extremely knowledgeable in regards to the food and cocktails, and catered to our spontaneous needs (like cutting the music for guests wanting to give speeches). The food was amazing and there was a huge amount of it. We got so many compliments about the food (also the venue and drinks but the food stood out). They even packaged everything up at the end for takeout boxes for anyone who wanted. I really can't say enough about how perfect this spot was for our rehearsal dinner and I can't wait to go back to have more of their food and cocktails.
