5 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in NYC - Eater NY

"When Sunday rolls around, are you more interested in pastries than pitchers of mimosas? Off the beaten track, even for Bushwick, Buttah Bakery lies across the street from St. Aloysius Church, and an almost religious atmosphere prevails where cakes, cookies, and muffins are concerned, from owners and sisters Kristin and Stacy Viola. Just check out the blackout cupcake, featuring a day’s worth of chocolatey goodness, or if you’re in a savory mood, the mushroom, gruyere, and thyme scone (baked good selection varies)." - Eater Staff

If you're in the mood for a sweet treat, this bakery is an absolute must-visit! Their cupcakes are nothing short of delightful—each one is perfectly moist, with a rich, flavorful base and a frosting that’s the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. Even my husband really likes their cupcake especially their brooklyn blackout.

Google
Buttah Bakery is truly a gem! Kristin makes the best cakes, cookies, and pastries, and she is one of the nicest and most welcoming people you will ever meet. She always goes above and beyond, taking the time to bounce ideas with you and somehow making your vision even better than you imagined. My family and I have tried so many of her creations, including the pistachio cake (our favorite!), tres leches, strawberry shortcake, cookies, and so much more. Everything is perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, but just enough to give you the best sugar rush and leave you wanting more. Thank you, Kristin, for always making our events so much better with your delicious treats and your kindness. We’re so lucky to have you and Buttah Bakery in our lives and can’t wait to order more!

Google
I order all the time from this bakery…the red velvet cupcakes are made just to perfection. Moist and the butter cream frosting is so buttery and the best ever! The tres leches mini cakes, and pumpkin spice cupcake are also top favorites.

I love this place. I love the whole concept ordering and going to the window to pick up in the neighborhood. One day I was driving on Onderdonk and saw this place and decided to look it up. Went on their website and placed and order. Absolutely yum!! This will be my go to place for anything I need in the future. There’s also a weekend menu with nice treats.

Google
Went to the location to order at the window. The lady completing the orders was lovely and gave us lots of info about the baker and her changing menu. The red velvet cupcake was probably the best I’ve ever had. I really like to Corn bread brûlée and the blackout cupcake. The brownie and coconut cream cupcake were not to my liking, but my boyfriend really liked the cookie sandwiches. I’ll definitely be back to try new things and get that red velvet cupcake again!

Google
DELICIOUS chocolate cake, lovely conscientious shop owner — we ordered for a baby shower and it was a hit. She’s not kidding about letting the cake sit out at room temp for over an hour before serving- the buttercream icing was *most* incredible towards the end of the event.

Google
I've been coming here for years, and I'm never disappointed. Yesterday I ordered the naked vanilla birthday cake with Swiss vanilla buttercream and it was outstanding as usual. Buttah is always my go to bakery when I'm in need of a birthday cake. I've tried most all their birthday cakes and would recommend them all. Buttah is the best.

This bakery is a local gem! Delicious baked goods, friendly service, and unbeatable prices. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Perfect for treats, special orders, or a quick snack. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Got delivery from Grubhub on a chilly pre-vacation Saturday and it was worth it. Pumpkin cupcake was great. Pumpkin pie was good. And the whipped cream packaging was adorable. Chocolate chip cookie is big and crisp. Looking forward to trying it tomorrow.

Yelp
The cakes are good but lately I didn't enjoy it was much. Some cakes are a bit dry. But overall an awesome bakery.

Yelp
My partner in Manhattan had ordered specialty cupcakes to be ready on a certain day and to be picked up by an Uber driver. My communications with this team were fantastic. Their response was immediate and they were extraordinarily cooperative. All that is aside from the fact that these were the most delicious cupcakes I had ever tasted.

Yelp
My favorite bakery. Each time we come there is something delicious to try. Highly recommend it. We tried so many things and every single thing is decadent.

Yelp
Super cute little spot in Ridgewood with a really nice owner who is so kind and explains every dessert if you have any questions about her desserts. I got the tres leches cake and oh my!!! It was excellent! So perfect that I can't even explain how dang good it was. Definitely worth to try it! The cake part was so moist and delicious. I thought about it for days lol. The coconut cupcake was also excellent as well. It had a creamy filling inside and the coconut frosting was so tasty. I also got a peanut butter and jelly cookie sandwich. It was really good peanut butter cookies with raspberry preserves in between! Wow wow wow! Will definitely be back to try the numerous other special desserts she has!

Yelp
Stopped by two weeks ago and picked up the tres leches cake... can't wait to go back. One of the better tres leches I've ever had.

Yelp
love love love this bakery! I've ordered twice so far (found out about it via IG!) and wowowow! A huge fan of their cupcakes, cheesecakes, and little cookies. They're so fresh and truly delicious. Wish I lived closer to it, but always a good excuse to visit Ridgewood!

Damaris L.

Yelp
Great customer service, friendly staff, amazing cakes. You can't ask for anything more lol. I particularly recommend the red velvet, coconut, and blackout cakes. Absolutely worth coming here to indulge.

Yelp
Tucked away in a area of queens that is pretty hard to get to if you don't have a car, is this cute little cupcake and pastry shop. Cupcake selections weren't huge and I liked it that way. Took home a an insanely amazing Cinnamon and sugar muffin, a large full butter crispy chocolate chip cookie, an addictively delicious red velvet cupcake, a decadent blackout Chocolat cupcake, a carrot cake cupcake ( that my desert eating companion didn't appreciate because of the raisins but I loved it), and a Funfetti cupcake. All were delicious and made with great care. Sadly this place just loses half a star because the sprinkles on the Funfetti cupcakes were absolutely horrendous. Please switch to a better tasting sprinkle!!!! Other than that, I will surely be back for more!

Yelp
While I was at Smorgasburg Prospect Park, another vendor recommended that I stop by Buttah's stand to try out their cookies and I am beyond happy that I did! When I arrived at Buttah's stand, my boyfriend and I were immediately greeted by the kindest women and they were so welcoming that I just knew the cookies were going to be great. They had a few cookie options available but I decided to go with the Raspberry Swirl Buttah Cookies. The cookies are beautifully packaged in sets of two and looked very appetizing. Now for the taste, the Raspberry Swirl cookies are delicious, sweet, sinful, moist and slightly crumbly but in the BEST way possible. Sincerely, I am upset that I did not grab another bag, haha! These cookies are a 10/10 and would be amazing with a cup of hot coffee or tea. If you ever come across Buttah, please try them out because I promise you will not regret it!

Yelp
What a heinous name for bakery? Hahah,.. The star attraction here has to be the Tres Leches. It is indeed awesome like other reviewers have noted. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did but I did. It just doesn't look like every Tres Leches I've had before. This Tres Leches is unnaturally tall leading me to believe the cake part would be drier. Unbeknownst to me, to support the height and prevent it from it from tipping over, was clear cellophane on the side. And like the best Tres Leches I've had, this cake is moist, it's rich, and the dollop of whipped cream with a dash of cinnamon is rich and fresh. I've been back for many of these since and probably in the foreseeable future. The only for a short period of time special, Pizzeria Rustica was very good. The crust was very thin which I really liked. I find the crust to be too much generally with this dish and mostly left behind but not the case here. The Italian Sausage was sliced thin and added the right amount of spice. The ratio of potato, sausage, and egg was perfect. This item was identified as a special for the Easter Holiday but hopefully it will be around longer. Of the remaining bakery items, the cupcakes were fresh. The Cookies and Cream and the Chocolate Blackout cupcakes were good. The Chocolate Blackout especially satisfied my chocolate needs and was better of the two cupcakes. The chocolate chip cookie was super thin and crispy. The way it is constructed there wasn't enough 'chip' in each bite for my taste buds and I'd personally skip this in the future. The shop is really small and there really isn't much seating. The service has been really friendly and quick.

Yelp
I can't stop thinking about the blueberry cheesecake and the seasonal strawberry shortcake was light as air! Highly recommended!!

Yelp
Omg, That.Coconut.Cup.Cake....I wanted to slap someone in the face to express the seriousness of how good it was. I did buy some other items cuz I like to do sampling parties! Been doing it for ages. Was pleased with all of it, but the coconut cupcake was perfection. Call that baby "Coconut Bliss" The cake is light, spongy, not dry. The frosting was light, just enough sweetness to not be overdone by the shredded coconut on top. Beautifully balanced = Perfection.

Yelp
If you want to find the most warmest and cutest local bakery in Ridgewood this is a must go to! I had the pleasure of checking this place out today and I must say everything I ordered tasted fresh and delicious, it definitely fulfilled my sweet tooth craving. The menu consist of many different pastries to order from and even a vegan menu for those who are strictly vegan and have a sweet tooth. They also serve coffee, tea and milk (regular, chocolate, almond or oat). The staff I encountered at this establishment were super sweet and helpful! If you're in the area, please check them out!

Yelp
Really great service. They went out of their way to help or family for my grandfather's 90th bday party all the way in California!!!

Wendy G.

Yelp
This bakery came through in a pinch. We needed special containers for our Charlotte Russe cakes, and Buttah shipped them all the way to CA! My Dad was so touched that he was able to eat this wonderful dessert for his 90th Birthday!

Beverly K.

Yelp
I was very excited about picking up Charlotte Russe for a party. After receiving an email that read "thank you for your order, yes you may pick up the Charlotte Russe on Saturday 12/31" I drove about a half hour to Buttah. When I got there there were no Charlotte Russe for me. As I stood in the rain, the person in the store said: Did you pay? You don't have an order number and We gave that order to somebody else because we didn't know your name I showed them my email (with my name) and after talking to someone else they gave me free cupcakes I was disappointed on many levels

Yelp
If you haven't gotten a pie, cake, cupcakes or anything that is made in this wonderful bakery- you MUST go ASAP!! Everything is absolutely delicious. We Just picked up a pecan pumpkin cheesecake, a pumpkin pie and a dozen pumpkin cupcakes for Thanksgiving - they are all phenomenal!!! So happy that we discovered this gem - and we can't wait to order our Christmas treats as well!
google avatar

Wendy R.

Yelp
We tried this place because of another review that called the Coconut Cupcake - Coconut Bliss... and wow was she correct. We got a sampling of several cupcakes and the team ranked them in the following order- before tapping out... red velvet, chocolate, coconut, carrot cake... so good!
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
This bakery is easy to miss. No fancy sign out front, small store and very understated. Honestly I almost didn't want to write a review on them... for the simple fact that I don't want everyone to know how good they are!! But then I thought, the world needs to know how amazing these treats are! I had the tres leches cake. It was perfect! Just the right amount of moistness. The icing was amazing! They even package it in a way that helps the cake retain all its juices. So full of flavor and definitely my favorite to recommend. I had a personal serving but they seem to offer it in a big cake size option also. The girl working there was very sweet and helpful! I will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Sandy C.

Yelp
Found this place through Yelp and the tres leches cake caught my attention. The shop itself was very cute and the staff was very nice. I was planning to order a tres leches cake one day ahead but the lady told me it needed to be two days prior, so I ended up getting the smaller version and a red velvet cupcake to try. The tres leches cake was very good - moist and not too sweet. I loved how the whip cream was not sweet to balance out the sweetness from the condensed milk. The red velvet was pretty good as well - very nutty, the cream cheese frosting was on point and the cake itself was very soft. I came back the following day hoping to get half a dozen of the miniature tres leches cake for a birthday celebration but sadly there was ONLY ONE LEFT! So I ended up getting the last one and 3 different kinds of cupcakes: chocolate salted caramel, pumpkin spice and chocolate blackout. They were all very good, not overly sweet and soft. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the chocolate blackout cupcake waaay more than I thought I would - a mouthful of chocolate without being too sweet! The crumbs on the frosting with the cake just all goes so well together! I definitely want to come back to try other sweete that they have and make sure to order ahead of time!

Yelp
Again? Yes, again. My family and I are so addicted to this delicious bakery and we can't say enough good things about it. Everything is beautiful, so fresh and delicious. Love, love, love it!!! Keep up the amazing work and we hope to see you soon! If you haven't try Buttah, you must go! As you can see from my Yelp reviews, we've tried so many bakeries and this is the BEST!!!
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
Before coming here, I've read the Yelp reviews stating their Red Velvet is "the best". I've seen this sort if statement for several other cupcake bakeries... But, this time I believe it. Their red velvet is amazing. It's soft, moist, fluffy.. The frosting is amazing. And, I love the walnuts. Very traditional RV. I can't think of too many places that do that.. Aside from their RV, I've tried their coconut and blackout. Both very good. They don't have too many cakes, at all hours. But, you can order one. They sell Irving Farms coffee. However, I did not see a espresso/ cappuccino maker. The girls are really nice, and the bakery smells amazing....
google avatar

Gab G.

Yelp
My red velvet cupcake journeyed from Buttah to my office in midtown thanks to a coworker, and oh, it was good. I still reserve 5 stars for Molly's in the West Village, but this was a damn good cupcake. Moist with great flavor, and the crushed walnuts on top were a nice touch. Edit 10/2016: salted caramel chocolate flavor is great too, but I think I prefer the red velvet!

Yelp
I follow this bakery on Facebook because I am originally from the area and always want to come and support local places when they seem exceptional. My brother still lives in the area but keep failing to hook his Long Island. Sister up so I took matters into my own hands. We ordered the raspberry almond torte - It was amazing so fresh the crust was crunchy and had an amazing almond flavor. The raspberry was Not overly sweet. I will make the trip into queens just for this alone. The carrot cake cupcake- The frosting was light and fluffy not sandy or overly cream cheese heavy like usual bakery's make. The carrot cake part was fresh and had just the right amount of raisins and nuts. The banana bread - A huge chunk and dense and Fresh if you are a banana bread fan it's worth a try The funfetti cupcake Again frosting was amazing and I am the person who usually eats the frosting and throws the cake away. If I say a frosting is amazing it is lol. The corn muffin My mom loves it she warmed it up with a little "buttah " she said it was the best she has ever had. The black out cake looks amazing but have not tried it yet The peanut butter and banana cupcake - smells amazing but have not tried yet. This place is worth the trip and I will be back .. support your local small business even if you have to travel to do so.

Jeni G.

Yelp
Had to get a last minute birthday cake for my mom so I got the tres leche cake from this shop. It was the only cake left during close time. I was worried about it being too sweet since my family doesn't like sweet stuff but omg, this turned out to be the best cake ever. Not gonna lie, the $58 shocked me and I almost thought they made a mistake but I could see why later on. It's worth it!!! The cake was surprisingly really heavy and TALL. It kinda reminded me of an Indian milk sweet. Extremely rich yet at the same time, it wasn't overwhelming at all! My family who doesn't like sweet stuff really really liked it. Also said it was one of the best cakes they had. Didn't last long in my home. Everyone finished that quickly. Ugh now I'm craving for it.

Yelp
I have found my new favorite local bakery! I've been dying to try Buttah since I came across them on Instagram. I was finally in the area so I had to come by and I'm so glad I did! It's a very cute little space and the lady working behind the counter (probably the owner?) was really sweet. I picked out a cinnamon sugar muffin for me. I'm a sucker for anything cinnamon sugar and this exceeded my expectations. It was dense and moist and perfect. My son picked out a vanilla cupcake with pink vanilla frosting which looked great. For my husband I picked up a small tres leches cake. Now I'm not typically a tres leches fan, I don't like the wet cake. However, this was unbelievable!! I had one taste...then two...then split the cake with him. So, so amazing. I also had an iced coffee and added some home made pumpkin spice simple syrup which was the perfect amount of sweetness. Everything in their showcase looked so yummy that I'm going to make sure I make my way to Ridgewood more often.
google avatar

Brock S.

Yelp
Ok so the only thing I had from Buttah was a sample of their Apple cake. So why give them stars? Because first impression counts and my first impression of this place was wow it's really clean and organized (as far as my eyes can see) and dam that Apple cake is good. The interaction alone between the two gals behind the counter, my wife, and I will surely have me make a return. Friendly, welcoming and apologetic that our needs were not meet (due to our fault) is an indication that they take their job and skill seriously and I like that.

Kate S.

Yelp
Great bakery, friendly staff, everything I've ordered were excellent, especially love their cookies, bread puddings, and the caramel apple crostata was out of this world
google avatar

Darlene H.

Yelp
The best tres leches cake I have ever had. It's so moist, so rich and so much flavor in just one bite. I'm still on a diet so I definitely need to stay away from this cute little shop. P.s. Stacy was so helpful and sweet.
google avatar

Linda W.

Yelp
This was a much over due review. I've had many tres leches cake over the years. And Buttah comes similar to the ones that I loved at restaurants. No frills, simple and delicious. Not only is drenched in condensed milk and goodness but the cake is moist and gooey. And the right amount of cinnamon whipped cream. It is just magnificent! Hub ordered one for my birthday. It was the best gift ever! There are also other flavors that I have yet to try. And it so happens to be our upcoming 10th anniversary. Their menu had a raspberry and lemon cake which also happened to be our wedding cake flavor. I will def place an order with them for the occasion. The shop is very small and meant for pick-up to go. There is a table and chair that you can sit for cupcakes and small treats. As far as cake pricing goes, it is extremely reasonable compared to other pricier bakeries.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Went to Buttah today to get their red velvet cake but were told we needed to have place an order from two days in advance. What I absolutely love about this bakery is the warm welcoming feeling you get upon entry. Space very limited, there's only seating for four. Everything looked so delicious I seriously cannot wait to order the red velvet cake in the future. The cashier and the baker is ridiculously warm, friendly and informative. In fact, even though we didn't make a purchase we were offered some free sample size apple cake (The samples were very delicious). Sincerely hope Buttah stays in business for a very long time.

C M.

Yelp
This place is phenomenal. Best carrot cake I have ever had. I ordered it for a birthday and they included a beautiful sugar banner with personalized text. It was so delicious and well presented. I cannot give buttah a higher recommendation, really had a great experience.
google avatar

Nancy L.

Yelp
My cupcake experiences are usually disappointing. Between the dry cake and the generous heap of gritty frosting, I usually tap out after the first bite. However! Buttah's cupcakes are a textural dream of perfectly moist cake and light but rich frosting. The cupcakes and other baked goods are consistently phenomenal. Top favs are the red velvet - and I have never been a rabid red velvet fan, Brooklyn Blackout and the Funfetti, which is the best white cake/buttercream frosting bite I have ever had. We order from Buttah for special occasions too, and their full-size layer cakes are tastefully decorated and just as delicious as the cupcakes. It's worth noting that I have never had a stale cupcake or pastry from Buttah. More times than I would like to admit I've gone to a pastry shop for a quick treat only to discover I've been fobbed off a days-old confection at full price. Never ever at Buttah. Don't forget to try their bread puddings, raspberry frangipane and chocolate bundt cake slices. They are all masterfully made and totally worth the indulgence.
google avatar

Shirley T.

Yelp
Cutest little coffee shop!! The overall aesthetic is just so inviting, especially since they're located in the middle of a random residential block in Ridgewood. Lucky for me it's a short 2 min walk from where I live. I've been meaning to stop in here for a while having walked past this place many many times. So I finally stopped in for an iced coffee. The barista was super sweet (just like their treats) and very friendly. She's perfect for this place. I didn't get to try their sweets but the iced coffee was not too bad - I've had better but I'm rooting for this place.
google avatar

Ivee E.

Yelp
Delicious cupcakes and they're so cute too. My favorite is the coconut and also the blackout. Yum! They also have small containers of milk Super cute place.
google avatar

Pauline G.

Yelp
This was a heavenly treat on a Saturday afternoon (09/15). After visiting Millie's Cuban cafe I went in search for a bakery and discovered this amazing place. I had the coconut butter cream chocolate cupcake and it was delightful. This bakery is exquisite.
google avatar

NW N.

Yelp
5 star treats, minus 1 for seating (4 small chairs). I hope they can expand so people can sit and savor. It's a low key store front immediately across from St. Aloysius. Try their coffee, savory scones & muffins for light breakfast! Their cupcakes are are soooo moist with a balanced icing to cake ratio. Carrot cake & red velvet were all-stars. This is one of those places where you can taste the love the baker had in their heart. Walk past the other bakeries please.
google avatar

Paul G.

Yelp
My girlfriend got me cupcakes from here for my birthday as well as a tres leches cake. Let me tell you the cupcakes (chocolate salted caramel, red velvet, cookies & cream and coconut cream) were amazing, but that tres leches cake may have been the best I've ever had. It is a must have, of all the cupcakes I personally enjoyed the coconut cream one the best, if you like coconut it is truly delicious.

Yelp
Buttah bakery in Ridgewood Queens is nothing short of amazing. I literally sat there by myself and killed to beautiful desserts and still had room but didn't want to be judged. This is one of those bakeries where they ask you "how may I help you?" You reply just looking but deep down in your heart your overwhelmed because there's way too many good options and your thinking I really should be saving but the other side of your brain is like "take my money!" .... they took my money... I saw it as a $27 investment . Four slices of cake and a coffee. I can sense your judgement so just to let you know I shared two of the four lol. I honestly can say this is a place you want to go to. Everything taste homemade. If you love food you can tell the difference between something that's baked from scratch .vs. a Sarah Lee cake from the box. There's no contest (from scratch is just better) you can taste the ingredients and not getting this overwhelming taste of sweetness that totally drowns out what the pastry is suppose to taste like . Order a pie or a cake. They're worth the try!

Yelp
This place is a gem, we came here almost every day during our trip lol. We had the red velvet and carrot cupcakes, cranberry muffin, Buttah Sandwich, and Bakewell tart. The red velvet was the best I've ever had, not too sweet and perfectly dense and moist. The walnuts/streusel on top are a great addition. The carrot cupcake was great as well but it's not as spicy (cinnamony/nutmegy) as I expected it to be, although that may be a plus for some people. I really love that their cream cheese frosting isn't overly sweet! The Buttah Sandwich is two big buttery shortbread cookies with raspberry jam in between. These were my favorite, their raspberry jam is so good that I'm salivating at the thought of it. The Bakewell tart was like a moist almond cake with some of that delicious raspberry jam layered beneath it. The ladies behind the counter are sweet and very accommodating. On our last day when I expressed how much I loved their Buttah Sandwich cookies and wanted to take a box home (too bad they weren't planning to make any that day), they asked when my flight was and said they'd make a batch and set it aside for me to pick up! I was over the moon as you would imagine. Can't wait to return!
google avatar

Yelp
Best blackout cupcakes I've ever had!! The frosting tastes like chocolate pudding. There's some in the middle too! So so good!
google avatar

Andrea C.

Yelp
Walked in early on a Sunday and the place and staff are so cute! Nice pastels everywhere and of course their vv instagramable sign. I had seen this place for a few months and always wanted to try and I was very happily impressed. I don't normally like scones, I think as a pastry they are usually dry and boring but then I had Buttah's flakey buttery cheesy jalapeño popper scone and it was DOPE! Light in my morning! Coffee was good too! Thanks, Butttah!!
google avatar

Joanne K.

Yelp
Probably one of the best tres leches cake i've ever had! Also the sales associate stacy was amazing. Very accommodating and helpful. I will definitely be back to try other desserts. Not to mention I already ordered my wedding cake!
google avatar

Kristina P.

Yelp
I finally got to visit the bakery I've seen on Instagram one too many times by now, called Buttah Bakery in Ridgewood! It's pretty small and hidden on the block so you might miss it. It's the cutest, tiniest little bakery serving up some beautiful yet delicious desserts such as the lemon meringue cupcake with an unexpected lemon custard on the inside. I only treated myself to one item today but will definitely be back for more in the future! Looking forward to try their tres leches cake, cookies and cream cupcake, banana and peanut butter cupcake, red velvet cupcake, coconut cream cupcake, definitely their bread puddings (weekends only), and some of their other cakes and tarts!! The people working there were also so pleasant and kind which made the experience all the more enjoyable.

Lori S.

Yelp
Buttermilk biscuit had everything going for it : crunchy crust with all that nutty flavor then the soft buttah-y center. Too good! Tres Leches: Bravo for lightness of your cake. It's sinfully moist and just not too sweet BUT it needs fruit. It's a necessary balance to sugar and fat. I make a gelatin of a tropical fruit like blackberry. Cut a circle and tuck it between the layers. Just a suggestion Chocolate Bomb was enjoyed by my wife who said it was very good but not as good as mine Well I was too busy to bake so $5 well spent. Prices are fair. Good ingredients cost. Support local artists

After reading reviews on here I went there a little over a year ago and now it has become one of my favorite bakeries. The Tres Leches cake is heaven. Perfect balance of sweetness. She even makes an ordinary crumb cake be something you crave for days. The Butterscotch Breadpudding is something that stays on your mind for the summer months till it returns again in the fall.

Yelp
The best old time style bakery I know. I've had many of Buttah's cakes and all have been beyond expectations. The cakes are always made from fresh quality ingredients that make them the best birthday cakes I've ever purchased. Last night I bought the red velvet cake for a friend's birthday. I dont even like red velvet, but I bought it as a request of the recipient. Wow....he loved it, as did all the guests. This cake was so moist and fresh it certainly changed my mind. Red velvet cake is usually very sweet but this had only a mild sweet taste. I will definitely purchase this red velvet cake again. Whenever there is a birthday Buttah Bakary is the first place I think of to go. They require 2 days notice for a cake but it is worth the wait.

Yelp
If you are looking for a good bakery, go to Buttah. When it comes to desserts, I'm very picky. The bake goods just melt in the mouth, and some items are baked fresh everyday. I always get the cookie and cream homemade cupcake. Trust me, it's a most have if you go there. Also, they have one Vegan selection all the time. Nice place to hang out with a friend for tea and dessert. The customer service is great too.
