On a day visiting museums in DC with relatives we ended up in this place and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Place is small and they carry just two main dishes: Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, with some good side dishes Saag Paneer (Spinach and Cheese) and Chana Masala (Chickpeas). The butter chicken was well seasoned, the tomato base was rich and flavorful. The Chicken Masala is spicy, though (and so are the chickpeas), with the right amount of spice but if you don't like spices or are sensitive to spicy food, this is not for you. Mango Lassi was delicious too. They have a motto "300 and we are done", which means they only serve 300 people a day and then food is gone and the restaurant is closed. Don't be surprised then if you come late and they are not open (I suggest to go there for lunch then).

Being new at the time to indian cuisine this place was absolutely amazing. We ordered alot and every dish was just the right about of spice. The service was a 10 as we had no issues with our waiter. The problem we did have.... the baby roach walking along the chair above my head.... We pointed it out to our waiter and you could see the embarrassment in his face as he killed it.... Welp, that changed everything as we couldn't bring ourselves to eat the leftovers 🙃. But it was amazing while it lasted. Maybe it was just a fluke as this is D.C

There are two choices - butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, both simmered in big vats with tasty sauces. I only like white meat, so I was out of luck, although I did find a few pieces. Lots of rice and spinach , so I didn't leave hungry. Reasonably priced but limited menu.

From the man who owns Bombay Street Food, comes Butter Chicken Company, a fast-casual restaurant in downtown D.C. near the Farragut West Metro Station. Monday through Saturday starting at 11:30am, they make 300 servings of butter chicken until they run out. For $11 you get white rice, a healthy serving of butter chicken, garlic naan, and two sides (channa masala, veggie biryani, or saag paneer). Drinks (beer, soda, Honest Tea, etc) costs extra. For the price and how HUGE portions are (it can easily be two meals), it's a good price. It also taste great- full of flavor and quality meat. If you don't love butter chicken, they have a giant vat of chicken tikka masala as well. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, but if you go after noon, expect to fight for a seat. Get yours to go.

Does not disappoint. But get there early! Choose 1 of 2 choices for entree and pick-2-of-3 sides. Healthy level but not too much spicing. Limited seating but they specialize in to-go (their dishes and utensils are 100% recyclable). Downside is the busier they are the slower the line. Worth.the.wait.

Butter Chicken Company makes tasty curries in massive vats similar to what you could find at street food vendors across India. The curries are tasty and come in hearty portions. Not an overwhelming range of options. You can see everything that you're getting. High quality for fast casual. Awesome lunch!

One day, we checked off our DC local things to do by visiting the Butter chicken company which is open only on hours between 12-3pm everyday and closed on weekends. They had a very limited menu with more meat options and a few vegetarian options. We got the famous butter chicken meal and a chicken tikka meal which came along with rice and two sides of saag panneer and veg biriyani. We also got a sampler of chole. Overall, the food was good but we learnt that the odd timing of the restaurant which limits to only 300 orders per day was primarily intended to target the IT crowd which lived in the area. But for the decent pricing of 14$ in a beautiful microwaveable container and a big proper portion of the meal were the highlights of this place.

This place is the bomb. Great place to grab lunch, and they are always busy (pre-COVID) but the line goes by quick. And most importantly, they close once they sell 300 portions, so come early! I recommend their signature dish, the Butter Chicken—it is very flavorful with a spicy kick, and the chicken chunks meats are huge. The spinach and chickpea sides are so good, especially dipped with the naan they give you, complimentary. The portion is huge here so come hungry or prepare to bring back home/office with you!

Yelp
This is one of my go to places for Indian food via DoorDash. I have never been to their restaurant, but enjoy ordering from my app as I have free delivery. Seems like combo is the way to go here. I ordered butter chicken combo which comes with two vegetarian sides. They have many options for sides. I prefer potato peas and chickpeas. Two of my favorite comfort vegetarian Indian food. Portion was good. Lots of rice. I really wish they included 1 naan with the order. I had to pay extra for the naan. They would have got 5 stars if the combo came with a naan. So much curry they offer in the combo, but the portion of the rice is not a lot. So to use the curry, we have to order the naan. Don't know much about the service or the ambiance as stated earlier.

Yelp
The food was just alright, and my paneer saag had only saag and no paneer which was a little disappointing. Service was fast but that was mostly only because it was just me, the server, and some flies in the restaurant. The decor and vibes were cute enough for me to stop by after seeing this place on my walk home, though!

Yelp
Cozy place. Not much service to boast of. $14 for 2 oz main and then two 1 oz sides. Went for solo food on Sunday at 3 pm. Most of curries were lukewarm and Naan was not fresh. Only for quick counter service. Nothing more to expect. Food was delicious if only kept warm and served with fresh naan
