I ordered a smash cake, a birthday cake, and cupcakes for my daughter’s first birthday and everything turned out AMAZING!!! The cakes were absolutely gorgeous and delicious to boot. I had so many guests asking about where the desserts were from. I will definitely be ordering cakes from Buttercup Bakery again!! On top of all that, my husband bought a few cookies when he was picking up the cake and those were incredible too! The peanut butter cookie in particular was fantastic.

Such a cute little bakery! Glad I was able to visit. 🥯 Many goodies to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed my snickerdoodle cookie! 😋 The funfetti cupcake wasn’t for me 🧁. I hosted my bachelorette party here, which was a cake decorating class, and had an absolute blast! Kristina was so sweet and an amazing teacher. The chocolate cake was delicious and we were all excited to learn new skills and walk out with beautiful cakes.

Buttercup Bakery has my heart! Everything I have gotten from them has been absolutely delicious. The cupcakes, the focaccia bread and cookies! Kristina is such a kind soul! I enjoy stopping in and talking to her. I was super happy to see her open up her shop again during the week! We have now made it a mission to try to stop in every week during our work hours. It's WORTH IT. Thank you Kristina and to your daughter & mother who I had the pleasure of meeting today! They were both such a delight and joy. Can't wait to keep coming back.

The cake we got was the best cake we have ever had! It was chocolate with fruit filling. Not only did it taste so good, it was decorated perfectly and very elegant, just what I wanted. The people in the bakery were so friendly too! Highly recommend!

We hired Buttercup bakery for our wedding cake in April 2025, and it was absolutely excellent! KC did a wonderful job with our vision and created some delicious flavors that all of our guests loved. Our cake tasting appointment was so fun, getting to try all the flavors and having the ability to mix and match flavors together. We highly recommend Buttercup to anybody and everybody!

Every single thing I’ve tried—from the cookies to the cupcakes to the focaccia bread (especially the jalapeño and cheddar... chef’s kiss)—has been beyond amazing. I’ve always been a fan, but being 32 weeks pregnant has taken my appreciation to a whole new level! These cravings hit different, and nothing satisfies them quite like this place. The seasonal items are always outstanding as well! I was so excited to see their store hours back open this week (Wed–Fri for a few hours), and you better believe we planned our work day around getting back in there. The flavors, the quality, the love you can taste in every bite—it’s all unmatched. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll be hooked just like I am! I just wanted to say how amazing the cake was for my daughter’s birthday. The team did a phenomenal job and I was so proud to reveal the cake to her and her guests. I got so many compliments and so many people asked where I got it!

A nice gem in downtown Tomball! I got their chocolate chip cookie and Nutella cookie and both were great. Service was awesome, as well. Ambiance wise, it's a really cute little store front. Just be aware there's not really seating here, so be prepared to take your baked goods to-go. I'll definitely be back! Just have to wait a little because they're only open one day a week.

Why 5 stars? Because these treats really hit the spot. --- --- --- We stopped in here after lunch and were not disappointed. We ordered three things and absolutely loved two of them. Salted Chocolate Cookie: We'll start with the thing that we only "liked". I was hoping warming it up when we got home would catapult it into the "loved" category, but I'll stick with 4-stars here. It was more of a crispy cookie, than a soft one. Also, salted caramel instead of salted chocolate could have put it over the top for me, but this was still an enjoyable cookie. Coconut Cake: 5-stars. As good as it gets. High quality everything. Bravo. Honey Spice cake: 5-stars. I probably wouldn't have ordered this myself, but the wife was intrigued and she was absolutely correct in this decision. It kind of tasted like a cross between carrot cake and gingerbread cake, and it was a delight. I had not seen this bakery before, so I'm not sure if it's new or if it's just a small place that hadn't caught my eye prior to today. But Buttercup Bakery, you now have my attention!

This bakery is amazing! The friendly atmosphere, the beautiful treat presentation, the unbelievable quality and taste of their goods, they are the whole package and then some! If you want something very, very special, give them a try. In my most recent experience, they shipped a spectacular German chocolate cake to me for my birthday as a surprise from my son. I just can't say enough good for this one in a million shop.

Y'all when i say this was a sweet place, I was not kidding. The goodies were amazing and so was the staff. Took time to explain all the choices and we ended up with more than we intended on getting. Those salted chocolate chip cookies were a winner for us. The variety of cupcakes were amazing. The Lemon Blueberry one's hands down. Ya just never know what you're going to get when ya show up. They are only open to the public on Sat 10-2 or till they sell out. It is a cute little shop and they are making a classroom next door to offer classes. Worth the drive! Already planning our next trip. Came to get a very special 96th birthday cake (she only wanted Buttercup) and added these crookies to our order. They are spectacular. Never had anything like it. The store is so cute and the owner and staff went out of their way to help us!

Buttercup Bakery is a family owned business. They have the best cookies, brownies, macarons and focaccia that I've ever tasted. They are super friendly and their customer service is excellent. If I could give this bakery a billion stars, I would! I highly recommend it!

Have you ever taken a bite of something and there was an immediate "mmm" reaction? It happened to two of us while tasting three different loaves of fresh bread...that should tell you something right there. A great find in quaint downtown Tomball. Family run business with a sunny vibe. I found parking behind the business. Will be back for more treats (bread,cupcakes and cake slices). They also do custom birthday cakes.

Was in need of a desert and stumbled upon this bakery located in downtown Tomball. I ordered dozen and half of cupcakes for a party. Everybody loved them and commented on the decor of each !

Traveled all the way from Sugar Land to try this bakery! The drive was definitely worth it! Everyone is so nice and the bakery is so cute. There are so many great treats to try. You can miss out on the scones or the brownies. Buttercup Bakery is one of my favorite small businesses to support in Houston!

I ordered a cake to pickup on the weekend, payment and all was super easy. The cake was stunning, added fresh flowers, and it was soooo delicious!! Customer service was awesome, genuine, friendly, loved everything about this bakery and the cake!! Can't wait to try their cupcakes!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
