Butterfly Burger

We spent the weekend in Sedona and had a wonderful time at the Butterfly Burger restaurant. It was our first time there, and we were delighted with the delicious food. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the air conditioning wasn’t working, so we ended up eating outside. Thankfully, the temperature was still pleasant at around 8 pm. We tried their Yucca fries, potato salad, and the Gringo Burger, along with a few drinks. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was perfect for a nice dinner, with a beautiful view of the mountains if eating outside. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Great find. The burger was great!! My friend had a veggie burger and loved it. The beans were full of flavor. I really loved the potato salad 🥗 😋 Excellent service! Forgot our waiters name but he was a Mets fan and so are we! Ill definitely come back!

We were at Sedona for the weekend and enjoyed a delicious meal at the Butterfly Burger restaurant. We tried their Yucca fries, potato salad, coleslaw, veggie burger and a drink. Elegant & Upscale burger joint but don't be fooled, they know what they're doing. Parking is plentiful and easy to access. Visited twice in 2 days. Both times for lunch and sat at the bar. Ashley was our bartender/server and she did a fine job. Attentive and responsive. The backdrop to the bar seating is an impressive wall of spirits. Mostly Whisky. Nice art as you enter. The joint is dark and sultry with thoughful decor and quality materials throughout. Greeted quickly and sat accordingly. Menus are leather-bound. Hefty and with a presence. I like that. Seems like a varied selection but I've only had burgers, sides and fries. Will definitely be back to try everything else as we now live in the area. Great tumblers for water not typical pint glasses. Good tap selection and wines. My wife had the BTG Rose and loved it. She's not fond of dry wines so take that fwiw. Burgers were cooked to order. 1st day Medium, 2nd day Medium Rare. Spot on. The beef is great. Char flavor on point. Slightly crispy edges to the burgers. Juicy and "beefy". A++ Buns are perfect. Brioche with a light brush of garlic butter. Big, delicious and fluffy with a slight crust. A++ Toppings are well made. The pickles are served on the side and crunchy. A little bread and butter style. Delectable! Sides available with the burgers are butter beans, coleslaw or potato salad. The butter beans were quite simple but satisfying and a nice neutral backdrop for all the other flavors going on. The coleslaw is great. Simple and light with cabbage cut in squares not shredded. Potato salad wasn't tried. A+ Fries were solid but felt a bit Simple for this level of burger. B- Yucca fries are spectacular! Crispy, thick, starchy, a little chewy and a dusting of parmesan. They're advertised with Chimi Churri and it's not accurate. My only gripe. I know Chimi Churri is very moist so I'd guess it'll make the fries soggy so I understand why they're not using actual Chimi but instead chopped parsley with a little garlic, chili flakes. IMHO I would take this off the menu or describe it better. The herb melange was missing oregano which is a signature of Chimi Churri and definitely needs the acid that CC has as well as much more fresh garlic. B but could be A+ We were stuffed but had the Creme Brulee and we're glad we did. It was excellent. A All 4 of the Burgers were exceptional in combination of flavors and quality. I can assume that all the selections will be Top Notch! Be aware, it's a pricey spot but IMHO well worth the cost. Overall highly recommended and honestly can't wait to go back and try more items. I came here for my 33rd birthday and was disappointed to hear they don’t do anything for birthdays. Kayla was our server and she was wonderful! Very personal and attentive, the food hit the spot! My partner got a mushroom burger which was a great touch since she is vegetarian. The portion sizes are generous, we had the Yuka fries for an appetizer and those are by far my favorite fries.

Butterfly Burger by far has the best burger I’ve ever had in my whole life, I only had a bite of my hubby’s burger since I was still full from lunch but that bite was bursting with flavor. My onion soup was excellent as well. The cocktail was so so. We originally planned to eat at all of Lisa Dahl’s restaurants but the night we decided to try pizza we got there too late so we decided to have butterfly burgers again as they were in the same plaza. The second visit did not disappoint!

Best burgers in Sedona without a doubt. All the flavors were really well balanced. Decided to also try a chicken sandwich and I have to say might have been better than the burger. You really can't go wrong with either. Service was friendly and fast. The only thing that was a little bothersome was the lighting, but that's it.

Butterfly burger was a really good choice for dinner. They have options for vegetarian and vegan customers. We had the portobello mushroom burger, the hipster, and the truffle tater tots. We also ordered the skinny margarita. Everything was delicious and we were very impressed. The margarita was really strong and we didn't finish it which was a good thing. The service was good, and the restaurant and ambience were nice and modern. I highly recommend visiting when you are in the area.

Another stop on our Summer of Lisa Dahl tour. We have been here before and love the design and ambiance of the place. We chose to each have the Magical Elixir soup, which is an elevated French Onion style. My wife dislike French Onion soup, but she loves this version. We shared The Nothing Burger (wife's choice). Was cooked perfectly. The fries were hot and tasty. Best dish for me is the 3 seed cole slaw made with cilantro. This is my favorite cole slaw of all time. Always fresh and crispy. Definitely recommend Butterfly Burger-they also have good vegetarian or non red meat options.

Easily one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life. I was staying across the street at the Hilton and was told that the burgers here are not to miss. Please do yourself a favor and come here! We brought our dogs and were seated outside, which had a pleasant ambiance and comfortable shaded area to dine outside without experiencing the heat. Funghi sublime: 5/5. If you love truffle then you will love this burger! Cooked perfectly and so much umami, I will be dreaming of this. The Waco Kid: 5/5. When we asked the waiter what she recommends, were told to get this. It did not disappoint. An explosion of flavors and cooked to perfection. The subtle sweetness was so delectable. I loved it. Fries: 5/5. A bit pricey, but they were cooked so perfectly. The ketchup here is so unique too, not your regular Heinz ketchup! I would order this again. I already can't wait to come back to Sedona and eat here again in the future. I will be recommending this spot to everyone I know who visits!

Wow this might be the best burger I've had and I am a burger guy. I got the Gringo Burger. Cooked perfectly. White cheddar, pickles, tomatoes, burger sauce, and crispy onion straws. (See pic). So savory but not over the top. Thicker burger patty cooked exactly to the temperature I ordered. Bun was fantastic. Toasted brioche bun that was soft but held up. But the crunch from those onion straws put it over the top. Will be back a lot. Only downside, drinks are a little pricey.

Butterfly Burger was our last stop before heading home from our day trip to Sedona. It was the perfect ending! I ordered the Waco Kid burger with a side of potato salad. I am typically not a big potato salad fan, but this was incredible. The burger was the best burger that I have had in years, bar none. My friend really enjoyed her meal and mocktail as well. The ambiance was also very cozy and very elevated for a burger place. It really amplified the entire experience and made everything that much better!

My Husband and I are staying at a hotel near the Butterfly Burger and have a friend who suggested trying it. So we ordered for pick up and I personally was not thrilled my husband however was happy with his burger. I originally wanted to try the fungi burger but they do not do substitutes and when I asked if they had regular gouda cheese they said no only truffle. So I ordered the nothing burger and the name is perfect for what you get. The price on the other hand was way more than that the burger was worth. I was super disappointed and regretted trying this restaurant. There was a slice of lettuce that was worthless on a burger and a piece of tomato. I did not get onions but I did order pickles on the side. The burger itself was good size but dry. I paid an upgraded charge for fries on the side which I think was ridiculous but I'm glad I did because the fries were half way decent. My husband ordered the Waco burger and he loved it. He said the flavoring was fantastic and you couldn't even tell there were onions on the burger. The other disappointment was they charge a business charge on top of the bill. Had I had a break down of the bill I would not have tipped 20% Overall food was not great, prices were too high and they add additional charges. I do NOT recommend this place and if you do try it I would suggest trying one of their champion burgers.

Last night we came into town and looked for somewhere to eat and we decided to try Butterfly Burger, the moment we entered the restaurant the atmosphere was calm and chill, Kira, the bartender greeted us and assisted us in getting seated at a high top by the bar. The service Kira provided was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable in helping my wife pick the best wine for her burger. We got the Funghi Sublime and The Italian Stallion. Both were amazing, cooked and seasoned to perfection showing why this place has awards which are rightly deserved. We will be back to try the rest.

Business today I'm on a tour from the central coast to Vegas, Sedona, the Grand Canyon and places between. The clients ditched me for dinner so I went out to refuel and Yelp found this place for me. Ahh...where can I park this 32' party bus, well I managed that and walked in to the Butterfly. This is cool, reminded me of Eureka but with a darker more mellow atmosphere. I found my favorite seat at the bar (on the short end with no other chairs or people). BAM!... half a pound of ground angus beef, cheese and bacon with a side of cole slaw. The burger was up pretty fast, there was a few small sliced dill pickles, a thick slice of tomato and a leaf of lettuce finished the plate. I love it when the serve the burger with a hearty steak knife "Hey we have good steaks too" I cut the burger in half, the bun was strong, fresh and thankfully there no sesame seeds on the bun, my petpeve. It was a good burger cooked to order, perfect. thank you. The coleslaw was just that nothing fancy here just a chopped cabbage and dressing, I didn't see any carrot in the mix. And before I knew it I was done. It was just enough without the "I can't believe I ate the whole thing" feeling. What a great place the first of our Lisa Dahl restaurants this birthday trip. I had the wagyu beef hot dog from Australia unbelievable so delicious. Our server also was great my husband had the butterfly burger which was great.?

Very good burgers and shakes. Enjoyed the Lemoncello alcoholic milkshake, the Italian Stallion burger (caprese), and the Yucca fries. Was not too keen on the Butterfly Burger. Beautiful inside and nice service.

Sophisticated yet casual vibes here at Butterfly burger, great for a date night or group outing. I had the Waco burger which was delicious, I only wish I shared it with someone since it was so filling. I could have tried other things. Yuca fries were better than the tater tots. And surprisingly, the star of the show was the crème brûlée. Staff was helpful and I will definitely be back (even if it's just for dessert!)

Love this place. Great spot to bring people for Amazing burgers and food in general. Love the bar and an amazing whiskey collection.

We were a party of four and had an amazing time! From start to finish, everything about our visit was flawless. First off--the burgers? Absolutely fantastic. Each one was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and incredibly creative. You can tell they put real thought and care into every combination. The fries were golden, crispy, and addictive, and don't even get me started on the dessert--easily one of the best sweet endings to a meal we've had in a while. But what really took the experience to the next level was the service. Our server was out of this world--friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed and taken care of. It's rare to come across that kind of energy and professionalism. And the ambiance? Modern, stylish, and cozy, with just the right vibe to make the whole meal feel special but relaxed. We all left full, happy, and already talking about when we could come back. If you're in Sedona, Butterfly Burger is an absolute must.

High class burger place with great tasting food. The interior is quite dark, up-scale looking while the outdoor seating is bright and sunny. Burgers are large portioned and delicious, and I also love their salads. Service was excellent.

The atmosphere was very cool and classy. Our server, Nomar, was incredible, charming, and attentive with our table. We started with drinks which were the Desert Haze (tequila based cocktail), BB's Old Fashion, and a Hazy IPA. The drinks were unique and delicious and nicely prepared. For food, we had tater tots with a truffle digonaise and fries with chipotle aioli. The fried foods were perfectly cooked without being too greasy. The sauces were very deliciously paired with the sides. For main courses, we got 3 different burgers: The Butterfly Burger, The Gringo Burger, and The Fungi Burger. They were all cooked to medium and tasted amazing. Very fresh and well prepared, we had an excellent experience.

Expensive for burgers but service was fast and the burger was good. However, burgers come with slaw or beans I believe- extra $$$ for fries..I think many would prefer fries over the other sides.

The Hipster was very tasty. Loved the house made patty (lentil/walnut) got it with the vegan option aioli which really complimented all the flavors and textures of this beast! Bowl of paradise highlight was the mango pico de gallo smothered over the confetti quinoa, avocado chunks and roasted pepitas. The sweet and sour dressing along with the drizzle of balsamic gave a nice tangy zest to balance out the bed of arugula. Got a side of tater tots with the vegan wasabi ginger dip to drown those tiny spuds in. The charred ketchup was tasty too. Great bourbon and Whiskey choices. Full bar and a great bartender named Dustin.

This has got to be the darkest place I have ever had lunch in. The place is painted black from ceiling to floor. If I walked in there with a white shirt and pants I would feel like a fluorescent light. Other than that, the atmosphere and food were great. My group, four of us, had a wide variety of dishes, a giant chile dog, two different burgers, a guac toast, mac and cheese, fries, potato salad, wax beans. All the entrees were huge, presented nicely and tasted great. Our server has fun and knowledgeable about the food. Prices were fair, with a tip we spent a bit over $125 for a very nice lunch.

Came here on our first night of the trip and it did not disappoint! The service was super friendly and fast considering how busy it was! Loved the ambiance of the restaurant especially it being on the dimmer/dark side to get away from the heat for a bit. Bonus points for all the beef burgers being halal! It was nice to order off the menu without having to worry about that. Each burger ordered was great, the sweet potato fries and burrata were a hit for the entire table. Would definitely recommend to add this place to your list if visiting Sedona. You won't be disappointed!

Every single person working here was fantastic. Came with 9 people unannounced and we were swiftly accommodated. The food was outstanding. I wish I remembered the servers name but he is a pro at what he does. Very informative, funny and attentive. Ambiance is great and I'd highly recommend this place.

Thankfully they lowered the music otherwise we would not have stayed. Nice to hear the person you are having lunch with. Funghi burger was delicious, Cole slaw okay... not sure what spice I thought little of. Portobello burger was a good vegetarian choice with kale salad for my friend. Good service, thanks!

Old stale fries mixed with raw fries, grease filled bun and flavorless meat, sides missing and just a stale experience! Phone order taken and you walk in to a slow place and yet couldn't get it correct! Manager wants to argue and pass the blame to myself over the phone! Cool! Here's back at ya Manager

I don't like being a contrarian given all the five star reviews but I really would not return to Butterfly Burger. I was staying at the Element Hotel next door which does not have a restaurant. I had been traveling all day and wanted a quick bite to eat. I was tired and hoped to be in and out so I could go to bed. I ordered the "nothing burger" which is a cheeseburger with onion, lettuce and tomato because I wanted something simple. After I placed my order there was an extremely long wait before my food arrived. I was thinking of getting up a leaving I was so tired. When my food arrived it wasn't very good. The beef paddy was dry and the fries were cold. The ambiance is dark and noisy. Nothing positive I can say but a lot of other people seem to like it.

Food is to expensive, not very good and they don't even offer fries with a burger that costs $24. They give small crappy sides!

Service is poor. I may give it one more star after I eat but for now, I'm giving 2 stars. After sitting here for 10 minutes, I finally approached the manager and asked if someone was going to help us. He was kind enough to take our order and that is why I'm not giving one star. But due to me having to get up and ask to be helped, they will not be getting more than three stars unless the food is a 10. While we waited, we watched one server come pick up two unfinished alcoholic beverages from the table next to us and walk away and another server take the check holder off the table as we sat here hungry and thirsty smelling burgers we were looking forward to eating.

Came in for lunch today with my family. I will say the ambiance is beautiful and the food is great! I ordered the Pollo Justino sandwich which was absolutely delicious. I appreciate that they have chicken, fish and veggie options as well as an extensive selection of gourmet and unique burger options. When my mom and I expressed to the server that we were not a huge fan of the side options she didn't offer to upgrade us to fries for an additional $4 which I noticed other Yelpers doing which is really annoying, overall food was great, service was meh.

We were invited here by friends to go try it out because they had received several recommendations from people around the area. We were not disappointed. This is probably one of the best burgers I've had in a long time and would definitely go again. In fact, I'm from Northern California and wish this place existed there because I would go to it often. The yucca fries were also delicious and the dipping sauces were amazing. I had the Samurai burger because grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce is amazing and great place to get a burger and not super expensive.

So good we came here twice in the three days we stayed in Sedona. Their bar program is excellent and their food is delicious. Of course the burgers are excellent, but their loaded tater tots are an indulgent treat. On our other occasion of visiting we tried their French onion soup and it was delightful. Honestly, don't think you could go wrong and it's right off the main street so very easy to find with good parking.

Great burger place! The inside has a nicer lounge vibe, a great place for a celebratory meal. We tried 4 different beef burgers, one veggie burger, sweet potato fries and mac and cheese and everything was so delicious! Our waiter, Joel, was very kind and helpful and offered advice for dietary restrictions in our group. Would definitely come here again, bonus points for their beef being halal!

I have been there twice now and highly recommend. The Primo Portobello is amazing! The 3 seed coleslaw is my side of choice each visit. Get the cookbook for the recipe. The service is always polite, accurate, and attentive. The ambiance is good for casual lunch or dinner. Full bar. Hope you enjoy!

Located in a strip mall, Butterfly Burger was super close to my Airbnb so I stopped by one day for late lunch. The place wasn't busy and I was able to get seated right away. The decor is swanky-ish and I would've totally gone back for a drink had I stayed in Sedona longer. In terms of cost, their menu is definitely on the higher end considering that it's mostly burgers, but I did like the food I had. I ordered the butterfly burger which came with a side and I chose the potato salad. The burger was huge and the patty was cooked to my liking. The potato salad was good and tasted fresh. The server I had was great - very friendly and helpful (@management, from my check his name is Jack B.). Keep in mind, they add a 3% business operations fee to all checks. Overall, would've been back to try some of their apps and drinks if I had more time.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. We were visiting from CA, and these were literally the best burgers and fries we have ever had!! I would consider just coming back to Sedona to come and eat here again! Our server Amy was also amazing, helpful and kind and just so pleasant! We got the following dishes and I wouldn't change a thing! To drink: - We both got the desert heat. ( super spicy and strong! Best prickly pear drink we've had in Sedona) To start we got: - the burrata ( the perfect balance of this dish almost brought a tear to my eyes) LOL - yuca fries ( best yuca fries we had. Tasted almost like normal fries. But the chimichurri and dipping sauce just brought it over the top) For our main: - Oui Oui Monsieur ( I love a good patty melt, but this one was NEXT level. Literally the grilled caramelized onions and the rye bread just elevated everything! Then to top it off, it came with a French onion soup au jus... literal PERFECTION IN EVERY WAY) - Fungi Burger ( I love mushrooms, truffles & Gouda so I was immediately drawn to this burger. I normally can't eat burgers that don't have lettuce and tomatoes cuze it's too heavy... but this burgers flavors were just so on point, with the juiciest patty and softest bread... that I literally devoured it before I knew what happened.... - also upgraded to the butter fries. (Who knew French fries could be so heavenly?!? They tasted like BUTTERY AMAZING AND PRRFECTLY SALTED sticks of heaven!) Seriously, what a meal!! Thank you for such an amazing way to end our trip in Sedona!

We have traveled all across the U.S., and I have to say, hands down, this is the best burger I've ever eaten. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully designed, and they also have an outdoor patio. The service was excellent as well.

Burger was fantastic. The tater tots were cold and not that good :( that was disappointing. We go to Sedona about 4-5 times a year and wanted to try it. The door opens up and lets cold air in, so sitting by the door was not fun as well. Overall, if you want a good burger then you will probably be happy. Prices were a bit high on some things but not crazy.

After a long morning hike at Bell Rock we went to eat at Butterfly Burger. One of the best burgers I've ever had in my life!! Great atmosphere and service.

Service with a smile. Everyone here was so friendly. Tried this place on a whim, as it was close to where we are staying and oh wow, I'm glad we walked in. Upon the first bite of the Waco Burger, I was hooked. Cooked to perfection and the flavor profile is amazing. My some loved his "usual" burger of cheese and ketchup. He said it was the best burger he's had.

Slightly disappointed with our stop at Butterfly Burger. After reading reviews and hearing from people how great this place was and a "must visit", it was a bit underwhelming. The food was decent, the place itself was very small. And there were several open tables not being sat, assuming it was short staffed. Staff was friendly though. Drinks were just ok. Tater tots were nice and crispy though.

Food was spectacular- very flavorful! I had the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. We ordered yucca fries as an appetizer to share. They came with chimichurri sauce on top and a pimento dipping sauce on the side- both were fantastic! I would definitely come back here.

Loved the toasted bun. Just the right amount of messy. Yuca fries were really good too. Crunchy on the outside with the right amount of softness on the inside. Husband got the gluten free bun. Said it didn't look appetizing but was actually really good and it held together. They have a small patio but it faces the sun. Plenty of parking

This burger place is kind of hidden and out of ways a bit but worth the trip. They are sister restaurant of The Mariposa also in Sedona. The inside decor is fabulous and love they have it decorated in Halloween spirit. The menu is great, there is an option for everyone. I had their Hipster burger which is a lentil walnut burger. It was soooo good and flavorful. The fries were delish and crispy. The loaded tater tots were decadent and also very good. My other party had different burgers and they were all happy with their choices. Glad we decided to take the drive from our hotel to eat here. Definitely worth trying if you love burgers. Sorry.. forgot to take pics of our burgers! We were so hungry, we just dove right in lol.

Amazing burgers!!! I even went back twice to eat because they were melt in your mouth burgers. At first I walked in thinking I was under dressed but this is a down to earth elegant place. Oh the cold slaw was amazing and get the side of pickles yummy!!! Very nice staff and they were very quick with the service. Great place!!!
