Butterfly Verona

We stumbled across the Butterfly Boutique rooms when looking for somewhere to stay in Verona for our visit to the Opera. There is not much more than we can say that hasn’t already been said about this wonderful place. Beautifully appointed, quiet, spotlessly clean, inside the city walls in the heart of the city, a few minutes from the Arena by foot, absolutely perfect for our stay. The refreshment facilities were a bonus and we felt truly rested after a hectic weekend in this wonderful city. We loved it so much we are already planning another visit to Verona and Butterfly will be at the top of our list. Thank you Gian-Matteo and Laura, your hospitality was wonderful!

Very good property that takes good care of you, but you should know what you're getting into before you go, we did, but it's still a bit surprising if you're used to large fancy hotels. ||The room and service at Butterfly are quite stellar, and this is bookable via Hyatt, which is also nice, and one of the few places in Verona that any of the big US chains partners with here (Hilton partners with a few SLHs). ||We were greeted wonderfully at the door by a lovely lady who hosted us during our stay, and helped with bags and the like. She was wonderful in every way, except it felt unfair to put everyone checking in and out on her as everyone did check in at 3pm or so and check out at 10:30 (which is when they asked us to check out. It was surprising to see such a situation where we needed to leave so early, but that's fine I guess.||While the room is absolutely amazing, and came with a lovely set of welcome gifts, there also isn't much of a sense of hotel here. If your goal is a historic but updated room in Verona then you're doing well, but if you want the full service aspect of a hotel then you won't like this.||Also there are Dyson hair dryers in the rooms - which is a nice thing. Great coffee too.

We were a little unsure of the concept of Butterfly on arrival but we soon realised what a gem we had found.|The location is great. Really close to everything but in a peaceful and quiet area to return to after all the bustle of the centre.|The owners were so helpful with recommendations and advice for trips and restaurants. Many thanks for that.|The room was immaculate as was the communal area. The little extras were appreciated. Lovely biscuits and plenty of refreshments.|I really appreciated the Dyson hairdryer! I have one at home but rarely find them in a hotel room.|If what you are after is a busy hotel with bar and restaurant don’t book here. There are no breakfast facilities available but as we discovered there are numerous lovely cafes nearby serving breakfast. There is no bar but once again bars are really close by.|Butterfly is extremely good at what it offers. Lovely accommodation in a very nice building very close to everything on offer in Verona.

The reception was welcoming, personalized, warm, friendly and very helpful. It’s a mix between a luxury hotel and luxury air bnb. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner a couple of times. He very kindly, personally arranged a taxi for us on a Sunday. He went above and beyond, riding his bike to the nearby taxi stand to secure our ride as we had many pieces of luggage.

This is one of my favorite places to stay in all of Italy. Nice, spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient and walking distance to all of Verona's important attractions. I would highly recommend these boutique rooms!

Despite our late arrival, Gian Matteo was here to welcome us in the wonderful place, Laura and he have created. |Travelling as a family of 3 couples we were lucky to stay in 2 connecting suites. |The design is beautiful, every piece of furniture and object has been chosen promoting Italian design at its best. |Fridge well “stocked , fruits, coffee and teas and wonderful biscotti provided …||We were so lucky to have Butterfly Verona as our “home” for 3 days !! |Perfect location: a short walk to the Arena / piazza Bra but quite. |Great recommendations of “tour organiser” (for a day trip to Sirmione) and to restaurants and wine bars. |Laura and Gian Matteo’s hospitality is heart warming - |Thanks to them and their team, we will have wonderful memories of our trip. |We will be back ! |Grazie tanto Laura and Gian Matteo

We were wowed by the hospitality of the staff and owners as well as the room. Our room was extremely spacious, elegantly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. This was our first stop in Europe and I discovered I had left my convertor at home. They immediately gave us an adaptor to use for our cell phones. Two days later there was a Dyson straightener in the room for me to use! Such a thoughtful gesture and it was greatly appreciated and put to use. You will not find another place as charming as welcoming in Verona!

This hotel is an absolute dream. The husband and wife duo who run it are so so lovely, generous, and accommodating. They are on a quiet street very walkable to the main center. Don’t be fooled by the outside entry / ground floor - there is pure luxury waiting for you upstairs.
