Butter's Cool Spot Ice Cream and Ol' Fashioned Treats

While traveling back to Louisville, KY from Emerald Isle, NC we saw a billboard for Butter’s Cool Spot and decided to stop and check it out. So glad we did! You could see how much hard work and love is poured into this family owned spot. We got lunch and ice cream and everything was great. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re passing through. It was a welcomed break in our long travel day! Thanks to the owners!

This is how you do customer engagement. Brian and his wife were generous easy to talk to. All the other customers felt like they were family and he was eager to have us there. Everyone is greeted with a smile and a joyful greeting. The icecream is Hershey and delicious. The power was out so I couldn't try a milk shake, but they were still happy to serve. Will definitely stop by again when I'm traveling through.

Butter's Cool Spot is a great family-owned ice cream shop. The husband, wife and son team were so kind to my son who was disappointed after a tough baseball loss this past Sunday. They serve Hershey’s Ice Cream, which is always creamy and delicious, with plenty of flavors to choose from. They are so welcoming, and it’s the perfect spot to bring the whole family for a sweet treat!

Cute little ice cream shop! They made my grandson feel so special with the little flamingo float delivery. The Roadrunner Raspberry was delicious😋 My husband and son got milkshakes and both gave it a 10/10. Banana Pudding and Midnight Caramel River with whip cream and a 🍒. They also serve Hot dogs, sausage sub and burgers! So I’ll have to come back and give that a try soon.

Stopped by on the way back from wedding and it was the perfect place to stop. Was just stopping for the ice cream but saw hotdogs and they were prepared like I love them mayo, ketchup, slaw, and chili. Ate 2 of those then went for the cookie monster. You get a warmed cookie (I got the chocolate chip cookie) and 2 scoops of ice cream with syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles if you want. We live about 40 minutes but I wouldn't mine riding out every now and then for great treatment and delicious food with dessert. Young man and lady were also very nice. Good people!!! My boyfriend got 2 hotdogs and small Italian ice he said it was good and we will be back😁

We stopped by Butter's this afternoon on our way home after a long day at the Premium Outlets in Smithfield. The staff there were among the friendliest people we've had the pleasure of meeting in a long time and they helped to make our experience a great one! I had the butter pecan ice cream this time but will definitely be having their Oatmeal Pie ice cream when I stop by there again! Good Lawd that ice cream was delicious!

Didn't know this place existed until I saw it on Google Maps. Locally owned, small ice-cream shop that has quite a good selection of treats. Ice cream cones, shakes, and cups. Sorbet is available in classic flavors. Hot dogs, and I think hamburgers are available as well. I had a vanilla milkshake while my wife had a brownie sundae. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.

First time customers and we will definitely be back! We got their ice cream and hot dogs, everything was spot on! Everyone in the shop is SUPER personable and easy to laugh with ABSOLUTELY suggest this spot for anyone looking for a quick bite to eat or a cold cup of ice cream!

We were craving a milk shake and found this gem of an ice cream shop! Great atmosphere and we had a warm greeting and were able to sample many of the flavors. You can get any of the flavors as a shake. Try the Salty Caramel Truffle, it was amazing!!! Fantastic service! We will definitely stop by again on the way to visit our daughter at ECU.

An amazing ice cream spot with many enjoyable flavors. Especially the one that's made from fruity pebbles. You need to go there and experience it for yourself.
