Butters Pancakes & Cafe

We had a party of 6 and had missed the breakfast rush. We were seated promptly. The food was prepared quickly. All meals were plated well. Quantities are large. The food was delicious but everyone had to add seasoning. The pricing is extremely reasonable. Two thumbs up. (P.s. the skillets are plated and not served in a cast iron).

Despite the fact that we went on a Sunday morning during Thanksgiving Day Break, we had a table after just a 10minute wait. Waitress was very attentive, got our order right (even with special requests for kids and lactose intolerant guest). All personnel was quick to wait tables and clean-up. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. Our breakfast was big, but light. Fluffy pancakes (that cinnamon roll one really tastes like the pastry!), delicious French toasted banana bread, yummy eggs. All ingredients taste fresh and like the best around. Big coffee mugs and fresh juice, what more do you want? Definitely recommend! Would love to come back, because everything on the menu looks great!

Google suggested this breakfast spot while we were visiting the area. The outside waiting area was busy, we weren't sure about waiting, but the girls told us could be 20 or less for waiting. We got in about 15 minutes, so the wait wasn't bad. I thought where they sat us would be a busy pathway, which isn't always ideal for a quite breakfast, which it was busy but didn't disturb our meal at all it was still a great atmosphere. Staff was friendly and for as busy as they were we got our food fairly quickly! We ordered the Berry Bliss Crepes, side of hash browns, and the buttermilk pancakes and orange juice. The orange was fresh squeezed and you could taste that! The hash browns were a decent portion and was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of crispy. The pancakes had really great light and fluffy flavor, not dense and bland. The crepes, stand out! The flavors of all components really shown through each bite. I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu.

Amazing... My cinnamon roll pancakes taste like heaven. The potatoes were perfection and that is very rare My eggs were cooked perfectly and season perfectly. I normally do not give five stars but this food was amazing. I think this is a chain not really sure but it was top of the line. My server was nice. my food was hot and came out fast. it was priced properly and my food taste so good.

Thank you to our waitress Karen who was very nice and attentive ☺️ the food was lovely. I got classic French toast with added strawberries and glaze. Karen said the glaze could be added to the side instead of on top which I appreciated because I didn't want much on mine. The brioche was so soft and warm & the strawberries were very fresh. I also enjoyed an iced mocha latte and a side of hashbrowns, but the French toast was definitely the highlight.

Everything here is amazing with huge portions we can never finish, from the omelet bar to the huevos rancheros, bliss berry pancake, cheesy grits, chorizo and perfectly crispy hash browns. The only downside was getting the check dropped off way too early while we were barely into our meal.

Delicious breakfast food! The orange juice is fresh squeezed. The 2 eggs with sausage and harsh browns are out of this world delicious! Also, the French toast with strawberry and Nutella was fabulous.

11/1/25: Addison helped us and she was wonderful even after Halloween rush. Our food was exceptional and the whole restaurant is as fresh as my first time coming. I can say this is one of my favorite places to eat currently. 7/25/25: Amazing light waffles and pancakes. You are ordering quality. I will be back again with friends.

Great taste and good portion sizes. I will dine there again, next time in town. Good to have both breakfast and lunch options.

Everything is sooooo good here. The portions are huge. Impossible for us to finish a meal lol. Hubs built an omelet today. I got the huevos rancheros and it was so good. I would definitely order it again. Got the bliss berry pancake again, it is the best pancake they have. The cheesy grits are phenomenal!!!! I don't even like grits and it's probably my favorite thing on the table every single time. Also the chorizo is the best chorizo I've ever had. It's not spicy. And the hash browns are always perfectly crispy Only thing I did not appreciate today, was how the waitress brought us our bill immediately after our food came. We hadn't even gotten a quarter of our meal.

Went on a busy Sunday morning. They don't take call ahead or reservations, but they put you on a Yelp waitlist when you check in. You get a text and can see your place on the waitlist. Really easy. It was quite busy inside. The tables are pretty close together and it was packed. Lots of families and kids. Food didn't take too long to come. Service was good. Our server was around and checked in on us a couple of times. The vanilla latte was too sweet for me. Next time I'll ask for less pumps of vanilla. The food was delicious! The pancakes are soft and fluffy. We ordered the berry pancakes and they are sweet enough that you don't need syrup, but not too overly sweet. They are so good, I highly recommend trying them. The chorizo burrito is excellent. It has a little spice but they bring some sour cream on the side, which helps with that. The burrito filling is very well seasoned and has great flavor. We tried the biscuits and gravy, which was also very flavorful. The food was great and I wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

I've been wanting to try Butters for a while because I genuinely love breakfast as a meal and this place totally lived up to the hype. They're open from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, offering a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options, so it works for early birds and late risers alike. We went around 10 AM on a Thursday, and the place was still full. It's a decently expanded restaurant (with indoor and outdoor seating) and they do take walk-ins. We had a 15-minute wait for a table for two on a weekday, so I can only imagine weekends being busier ... definitely plan for a longer wait if you're going on Saturday or Sunday. For food, we ordered the veggie omelette, which comes with your choice of grits, pancakes, hash browns, or fries. My husband ordered one of their specialties, and it was lovely. The pancakes as a side are huge ... genuinely a meal on their own but omg so airy and fluffy! We thought of ordering more, but honestly the portions are so generous that we ended up getting a to-go box instead. We also ordered freshly squeezed orange juice, a café mocha (this was average) , and drip coffee. The total came to about $50, which I found very reasonable given the portion sizes and overall experience. The servers were friendly and quick, but it's a very fast-paced restaurant, so don't expect warm, lingering hospitality or lots of chit-chat ... they're efficient and constantly moving. Overall, a lovely spot, great food, great value, and I'm definitely going back.

Butter never disappoints! Such a cozy spot for brunch with delicious food. The pancakes were fluffy, the omelets rich and comforting, and the biscuits & gravy were full of flavor. Banana Cream Crepe was my favorite here. Great coffee, the orange juice was fresh squeezed, friendly service, and a warm, relaxing vibe. Always a happy meal here will definitely be back!

Butters is the best brunch place in Phoenix! I wish they would come to the East valley. The omelets are amazing, highly recommend the pancakes even if you get plain they are delicious. My go-to order is an omelet with an upgraded specialty cake in berry bliss and a fresh squeezed orange juice.

great service is always expected and received at Butters ! We shared the make your own omelette and we chose ham , mushrooms, onions, and swiss cheese. Which topping stole the show ? They were all good but the swiss cheese was exceptional! It was very flavorful , slight hint of sweetness, with a very deep texture. We will be back !

And a huge shoutout to Lydia our waitress, who was the heart of the experience. Her kindness and spot-on recommendations made us feel like regulars, even on our first visit. We moved here a couple of months ago and, albeit unassuming, it is the best place we've been to so far for a meal. Great food, phenomenal service, and a very clean cute restaurant overall. Also, very reasonable prices! If you're in the area, looking for a place with an upscale diner breakfast place, I highly recommend this place. It also had lots of lunch options as well as gluten free options and substitutions. Can't wait to go back soon!

I had to have foot surgery last week in North Scottsdale. Since my procedure was going to be three hours long, I told my husband to go get some breakfast and I recommended butters! He can't stop talking about it! I told him that it was delicious because I used to go there quite frequently when I lived in Scottsdale near Gainey Ranch. It used to be located off of via Linda, but it is moved further north. We live in Chandler and he can't wait to go back! He said he had an omelette with bacon and spinach and some other things and he just can't stop talking about it! I love this place! I hope that one day you guys will move down to Chandler.

Food was awesome. Took a while to be seared. Coffee products were perfect. They offer options for my daughter with celiac and my picky "I don't like breakfast food" husband.

I'm from out of town, and as soon as I got into the state, I knew I was coming to Butters! My party of 12 friends came on a Friday, and the food was sooo good -- but this review is really about the service! Our waitress, Alison, was an absolute ROCKSTAR!! She remembered like 99% of our order without even checking her notes, kept track of everyone's substitutions, and somehow knew exactly which plate went to who (which is basically magic when you've got 12 people ordering different things!). She checked on us just the right amount -- enough that we could ask for extra condiments, but never interrupting our conversations. She even asked about allergies, was super conversational and engaging, and the cherry on top... She split every single check without even being asked!! If every server was like Alison, dining out would always be a 10/10 experience. Butters, you've got a gem on your team!

Butters Pancakes hands down is the best breakfast spot in AZ in terms of food quality, service and price. There's a wide variety of breakfast items. Of course, any of the pancakes are wise choice. The banana pudding pancakes are the best. I love the hash browns. The orange juice is only $4 fresh pressed too! For a family of 6, we were seated on a busy Saturday within 20 minutes. I was not surprised as their servers and the entire staff seem to be in sync and work so efficiently. Our server was lovely too. Ambiance is very nice, we were seated outdoors and enjoyed the weather. Thanks Butters!

My sister and I stopped at this Butters location during a recent girls' day. I had been to Butters in the past, but never this location, and it was her first visit. Despite it being late morning, we were able to be seated without a wait and we were greeted by our server shortly after. For my meal, I ordered the baked potato omelette. My sister opted for a scramble and we both went with pancakes for our side. My sister's were topped with a mountain of whipped cream and had chocolate chips mixed in. We were both incredibly pleased with our meals. The restaurant has a nice vibe and the service was great as well!

My mother chose this spot for an early Mother's Day brunch recently, and it did not disappoint! We came around 8:45 A.M. on a Saturday. The wait time for a table wasn't bad, less than ten minutes. Service was fast, warm, friendly and attentive from start to finish. The ambiance was casual but bustling. The dining area was surprisingly smaller than we had thought it would be based on the outside. After looking over the menu, we ordered the New Mexico skillet with banana cream pancakes, the HMOP skillet, and a burger. All the items were of appropriate portion size, excellent in taste and seasoned perfectly, catering well to each of our taste buds. The eggs in the New Mexico skillet were nice and fluffy. The accompanying banana cream pancakes were also a nice delight, didn't even need syrup. They were sweet but they nicely balanced out the savory from the skillet. Overall, everyone was satisfied with our experience here. Don't let the wait times turn you off from trying this place out!

The food was delicious. The servers were fantastic. Thanks to Brenda and Kai Jay. We came here twice because the place was wonderful. Everyone in the place was having a great breakfast time. The restrooms were pretty clean also. We were here in town on vacation and we are so glad we found this place.

In town for a trip and stumbled upon this spot for brunch. And the strawberry pancake that I had was hands down the best pancake I've ever had

The Mayo location is always too busy so we drive a little further to this location our first time. Mayo location has a nicer interior than this location which feels more standard like a Denny's or something. And the interior was very crowded with customers. We still like to avoid people and avoid maybe getting COVID. But we chose to eat on the patio and it has a large fan and lovely greenery forming patio walls and forming windows. It's fake greenery but makes a lovely atmosphere. Food was great. As always at Butters restaurants

We were seated right away. The restaurant was closing soon but they were very friendly despite our late arrival I had the Mexicans Omelette. It was light and fluffy. I personally would have liked more chorizo but it was tasty. The hash brown are more like fries potatoes, yummy. You could have fresh fruit as an option and they let you take out any kind you don't want. They only have strawberry jelly if you ask. The waitress was very nice.

Service was so friendly as they found me a table. Our waitress was really nice too and kept trying to have us be comfortable. The store was really clean and bright The food came out really quickly. I really wanted a hot coffee but unfortunately the frother was broken

Great combination - Excellent service and delicious food. My wife and I had "brunch" at Butters Pancakes Cafe on Northsight Blvd. I ordered the Whole Hog Skillet and my wife ordered the Southwestern Salad. Lydia was our server, service was attentive, friendly, and excellent. Our menu selections were very good. The atmosphere was casual, friendly, and welcoming. Plenty of inside and outside dining space. Access is very good for those that have difficulty getting around.

This restaurant has several locations in the area, so I'd expect very similar experiences :) Going during peak hour during the weekend, we were given a 25 minute wait time and it was spot on. The food was good and the restaurant was clean despite it being busy! It was very noisy, so I'd go during the week during non peak hours next time :)

Great spot! Would give 5 stars if there was not a 20 minute wait for the table. Food was amazing! I had the Santa Fe scrambler with cheese grits and pancakes. You could serve me just a huge bowl of the cheese grits and I would have been delighted! They do not skimp on cheese and both the grits and scramble were "well cheesed". Pancakes were good, not as good as homemade but not complaints. My fiancé had the berry blitz pancakes with marscapone cheese and was super happy with it. Stuffed with mascarpone cheese, oozing cheese! Love how they respect the cheese. Service was quick and efficient and friendly! Coffee and waters were always filled. When we left like five people thanked us for visiting. Bathrooms were very clean with purse hooks and festive glitter wallpaper. Highly recommend!

This was our second time in AZ and our second time to one of the Butters restaurants. The previous visit Butters was the best breakfast we had the whole trip. Happy to say we were just as satisfied the second time. Service was excellent and of course the food was as well. We didn't even have to wait very long. Definitely recommend and would go back again any time we are in AZ!

This was a hidden gem! The food was so good as well as beautiful. Server was attentive, helpful and polite. We sat on the patio and it was just lovely. The heaters made things just right in December. One note-- there are three Butters Pancakes in pretty close proximity-- do make sure you know which one you are meeting your friends at! This location had a 15 minute wait while the wait fun the road was 45 minutes. So I'm now partial to this one!

My boyfriend took me out to brunch after church on Sunday as he's raved about Butter's for months and I just had to try it out. We put our names on the waitlist which was estimated 45 minutes to an hour and we went and ran some errands in the area in the meantime. The wait took about 45 but was worth every second. We were seated on the patio and our server was incredibly kind. We never had to ask for a refill on our coffees as our waitress came around often or someone was outside filling up cups. I loved sitting outside and they opened the windows as we were wrapping up to reveal a cute little garden area which was a gorgeous aesthetic on a calm Sunday morning. I loved my food. My skillet was a little spicy, just how I like it! The pancakes were sweet and the toppings were so creamy and delicious. I couldn't finish them all I was so full! If you're looking for a new brunch spot to take your friends, I highly recommend checking this spot out.

My favorite brunch spot! Food is always delicious, fresh, fast coming out. This place is always busy be prepared to expect a wait.. but it is well worth it!! Their pancakes is a must try! I recommend strawberry chocolate delicious! Their baked potato omelette is another of my favorites!! It's always pretty busy on weekends so do expect a bit of a loud atmosphere but again worth it!

This is where you're going to find one of the most extensive and diverse breakfast menus I have yet to encounter in the Valley! From pancakes to French Toast or waffles and crêpes, to omelets and scrambled concoctions, to skillet dishes and Benedicts, and a host of sides ready to please a whole lot of people - regardless of your taste buds! Along with this massive menu, the most important aspect of this joint is that everything we tasted here was beautifully prepared and presented, fresh and very, very tasty. And the service was impeccable. They advertise their claim of "attention to detail" and you can taste and experience that they stick to it. Knowing they cook for us with organically grown and sustainable farming is a great addon. My wife started off simple with her fresh squeezed orange juice and my great grapefruit juice. Our breakfast consisted of her Country Benedict with Chez Grit - an excellent preparation of 2 beautifully made poached eggs, very, very tasty and tender sausage, a mouthwatering tender and fresh biscuit with one of the best tasting sausage gravies ever! I went for the Irish Benedict with Hash Browns, again, beautifully made poached eggs, corned beef hash with onion that was so tasty and succulent it made my mouth water, atop a traditional flaky English muffin and a fab hollandaise sauce. And the servings are substantial - one will not leave hungry from here! There is no wonder Butters Pancakes & Café rates such a strong Yelp 4.5 on their Richter scale! This place is big, spacious, comfy and that goes for both inside and out. An expansive inside, and an extensive open air and covered outside. Although I wouldn't call this place fancy, it is an attractive, low key yet in your face contemporary serving some of the best breakfast vittles in the Valley. We'll be back.

We came in for a weekday breakfast and it was jam packed! Luckily they use the Yelp waitlist system so you can see your place in line. We sat outside and had an amazing experience. All of the dishes were excellent- eggs, crispy bacon, biscuits, and banana pancakes were all great. The potatoes were so unique and good. I wish more brunch places had this thin sliced type of crispy potato. The kids' pancakes were huge too. I have to call out the service. Abigail was simply amazing. My wife said it was some of the best service she's ever had. She was so warm and friendly. We will definitely come back next time we are in Scottsdale.

Good Friday may not be the Friday to visit Butters, but although they were busier than usual for a Friday, I didn't wait long. I ordered the whole hog skillet. It was better than expected and I wasn't able to finish it all. The latte was decent as well and the pancakes were an added bonus. I sat outside and really enjoyed the garden type feel. This is worth visiting again.

Everything was fantastic. It's our family favorite place. The food, service and the ambience is amazing.

I love this place!!! The smoothies are so yummy & fresh. Honestly, I haven't had anything bad. The French toast is so fluffy. The fruit tastes so fresh. The biscuits and gravy were nice and creamy. Some places water them down, but not this place. There were actual chunks of sausage too. The waitress was so friendly & very attentive. I can't wait to come back. I wish they took reservations, but it is worth the wait.

Lou was the best server EVER! I'm not kidding and I'm not exaggerating. She was fabulous! The food is really good and the restaurant itself is clean and comfortable but Lou pushed this to a solid five star review!

This is my favorite place to always have breakfast. The food is always amazing especially their sourdough bread service is always fast and the vibe of the place is always family friendly. If you're looking for good food you're looking at the right place.

I've seen this place several times during breakfast searches on Yelp and I can say with confidence that I am utterly disappointed to have not been coming here for years. Food is fantastic and out before you're even ready for it, service is just as quick and great, and the place is adorable! Sat outside on a summer morning around 11 and they did a great job with cooling and atmosphere! Love it and can't wait to come back.

Place was delightful. Fast, great food and really nice service. Kaijay was kind and sweet to our kids this morning, Xmas eve, and the whole place was well staffed for a busy day. Thank you!

Been taking my 84yr old dad to Butters every year about 2-3 times. He sure does love their food like I do. We always have great servers, which make the long wait times WORTH it! Love the place. We keep coming back:)

Food, service, ambiance and food again! Absolutely phenomenal I forgot to take a pic because it was so good. Had the veggie scramble added bacon and chicken sausage and a side of the regular waffle hands down the best in Scottsdale so far!

I want to recommend Butters to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast and incredible service while you are there!!! Sadie waited on my friend and I while we were just there and was ever so helpful, kind and gracious! We hadn't been together in quite awhile and Sadie made us feel comfortable and happy with her genuine kindness! We will be back again soon!!!

Service was great. The food was delicious! We were in town for spring training and this was by far the best breakfast we had. Pancakes were light and fluffy. We'll be back.

Based on the food alone I would give 5 stars, service was great, but our table was tiny and right in front of the kitchen and barely big enough to hold our plates or my date. We ordered a lot and it was all amazing. Would go back and request different table.

Food & service were top notch. I'm not sure what brand of coffee they serve with their breakfasts but it is by far the best I've ever had.
