Restaurant Landlords Give Mixed Instructions to Tenants During Coronavirus - Eater

"Katie Button, chef and owner of Cúrate and Button & Co. Bagels in Asheville, North Carolina is in a different position from most restaurateurs because she owns the space where her restaurants are located. But, she still rents office space from a company called Wicker Park Property Management (WPPM)." - Tove Danovich

Logistics: There a plenty of parking lots very close to this restaurant. The Passport app allows you to pay and extend your parking if need be. This place is busy. At 10:00 the line was not out the door but there were a few people waiting for their orders and a few people ahead of us in line. It was steady for the 20 minutes or so that we were there. My son and I thought we were going to eat there, but then decided not to because there was an a table available… If we had just waited, one would’ve been available by the time our food was ready. The Bagels: Both my son and I ordered Everything bagels with cream cheese. I would like to say that I wish we were more adventurous… There looked to be some good options. But the bagels that we ordered were absolutely wonderful. They were dense and chewy with a nice crust on the outside. They were flavorful and delicious. A Little Bit More: One of the not so great things about living in Asheville was that we didn’t have a bagel shop after New York bagels closed. (I mean we’ve had a Bruggers...but it’s not the same.) I am so thankful that chef Katie Button decided to open this bagel shop. Speaking of which, the chef was there overseeing things while we were there. She runs a calm, smooth kitchen. No yelling. And she’s so nice and pretty and cooks ridiculously good food. It was nice to shake her hand and say hi & thanks.

Lovely decor, friendly staff, excellent bagel sandwiches, housemade jams, cream cheeses and spreads, great Counter Culture coffee. Best bagel place in town.

We had a great first experience with Button & Co this morning. Friendly and helpful staff, very clean and inviting atmosphere, and most importantly, delicious food. We tried the everything bagels with plain cream cheese, and they were perfect. We can be pretty picky about cream cheese, and the product they carry from Three Graces Dairy was amazing. We are definitely looking forward to returning to sample their breakfast sandwiches and to pick up some bagels for home!

Amazing bagels!! Love chef Katie button and have one of her cookbooks. These bagels and great quality and really yummy. The interior is cool too. My BF and I compared these to some bagels we got in NYC, loved these ones way more. Hard on outside and soft in the middle, so good!

Although they are newly opened and are probably more swamped than usual, the bagels are amazing, & the staff friendly. It’s even fun waiting in line & speaking to all the food lovers in the area. We especially enjoyed the ramp cream cheese spread, and the rye bagel with pastrami. These bagels definitely taste comparable to those in NYC, & are nice and crunchy on the bottom.

Though my dear friend and I discovered this location yesterday,, it was what I call a "delightful adventure" ! The line that extended out the door was a constant move forward to our order. Besides, there were interesting people met along the route. We ordered egg & cheese bagels, plus, a few to carry out. (They lovingly wrap each bagel in tiny see-through bags to go ! Adorable.) Though seating was limited, eating in was easy, with a constant flow coming and going. The gentleman at the counter was helpful & efficient with orders ! The bagel melted in my mouth, like no other bagel ! You can't go wrong with bagels & friends !!

Finally got to try a bagel today. The decor was impeccable and laid out perfectly. We ordered a half dozen to go and the scallion cream cheese. I am happy we finally have a good bagel shop in town. The bagels have a nice crispiness on the outside but are soft inside. Cream cheese was delicious.
