Buxbaum Restaurant

An amazing dining experience right in the heart of Vienna! The dishes were incredibly creative, and the service was top-notch :) attentive and friendly throughout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Fantastic place. Amazing schnitzel, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Potato salad greatly complemented main dish! Portion is pretty big as for its’ price! Also huge compliments to the team - fantastic and authentic service.

Buxbaum is a fantastic find in Vienna. Tucked away from the crowds, it has a cozy, intimate atmosphere, especially if you sit in the lovely courtyard. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food was exceptional—each dish was well-crafted, fresh, and full of flavor. The menu offers a modern twist on Austrian classics. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I highly recommend.

Amazing service, especially concerning wine pairing - we had a great time learning about local Austrian wines and wineries. Needless to say - food was great and well presented - all in a strict timely manner! Will definitely visit again.

This might be considered on the pricey side. The food and service are excellent. The food presentation is excellent. Excellent wine list.

this restaurant is just so basic that you don't understand how it got a Michelin recommendation. the menu lacks variety (no beef, no duck, no real chicken but only poussin, no shrimp, etc.), the offered bite-sized food seemed to have contained worms, the bread was a basic bun. overall, it was the kitchen of a very basic place, packaged in a nice restaurant interior design. poor waiter was sweating very badly, which also took away from the already very low experience. :( I'd never come back here.

Short: Not cheap but simply brilliant! Long: Very good restaurant in the city center, close to the "Stephansdom" and other attractions. The food is of high quality and delicious taste, they offer a friendly and informative service (details about wine etc) and a broad selection of wines and spirits to enjoy - all that in a beautifully decorated and clean environment. It's easy to reach via public transport. Pricing is on the higher side but justified by the quality.

The atmosphere was very cozy. Service was wonderful and extremely kind. The food was good but definitely not the best. The amuse-bouche, along with the bread and butters, stole the show. The rest of the food we ordered, Oxtail Consomme, Braised Ox Shoulder, and Ox Tenderloin, did not come anywhere close to the rich flavors of the amuse-bouche and beautiful taste of the beetroot butter that came with the bread.

This was our favorite restaurant we had in Vienna!! Found via the Michellin guide, this restaurant is tucked away from the touristy area, but still only about a 5 min walk from St. Stephen's cathedral. Ambiance: Cute, quaint, cozy. Definitely a solid place for a date night. Many nooks and crannies for seating. They utilized the space well. Also had a nice outdoor seating area that was covered! Food: the highlight of the trip! Some of the best food we had a definitely worth a visit! The white asparagus soup was amazing!

A wonderful romantic dinner at the city center hide-away Michelin gem. Starting with the quiet and beautiful outdoor decor to excellent menu options with creative presentation and balanced flavors, all topped by warm and personable service by Tomi, Armen, and the rest of the crew. Definitely a highlight of our Viennese gastronomical experience.

Nice little restaurant in a quiet courtyard of cobble stones. Draft Pils beer is good and several types of wine. This is an American review - so high stars. Expectations of locals will show a lower ranking. The 5 course meal was a good pairing, desert was a nice touch of noodles. The menu changes. There is outside dining weather permitting. It's a bit different for taxi service, you arrive at a hotel at the end of small street - Pick up and drop off Taxi service will go there. * it is not in the hotel.. From here go through a small door at the end of the road into the courtyard. It will be mid court on the right.

Buxbaum was the best restaurant that we tried in Vienna. The surf & turf and the duett of corn-fed chicken were both delicious.

Lovely, inviting, subdued and welcoming atmosphere. Attentive and knowledgeable staff provided excellent service. Delicious, local and oh so - fresh salad. Char was delicious although buckwheat topping wasn't quite right for the fish. Schnitzel was perfectly done and accompanied by an exquisite red current ( I think) sauce. Wonderful meal and perfect setting for our first dinner in Vienna.
