"“Taiwanese food is different than Chinese food,” says Chen I-Chin, owner of Buzi Restaurant, a rechao eatery in New Taipei City, southwest of Taipei. Chen calls himself the “godfather of rechao” and claims he was the first to popularize the genre in the 2000s. “We took all the eight major cuisines of China and Japanese food and mixed it all together.”" - Clarissa Wei

I'm an espresso snob that dabbles in home roasting, and this place served me a truly outstanding Ethiopia single origin double. Just enough body and oodles of character. You could tell the dude cared because he pulled several dial-in shots before serving me one. Great vibes too. How in the world do they keep ferns alive??

Lovely small coffee place. The dine-in coffee can in glasses. The flat white tasted really good. Whoever designed the interior must have put some thought and lots of love into it.

Coffee was great, atmosphere was awesome! But owner allowed customers to smoke outside the cafe and because the windows were open, you can smell the cigarette smoke.

Owned and operated by Fang Fang. Beautiful cafe with a very cool European vibe. But dude, it’s the hand dripped coffee that is freshly roasted in the shop. Are you kidding me. The floral notes on the coffee is outstanding. Quite possibly the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. I paired it with a handmade cheesecake. Gooooodness. Okay I’ll be back for an espresso drink this afternoon. This place is the definition of small business in which the owner wraps her love and care into her business.

Randomly discover and explore great coffee in Taipei. This is a great one; excellent coffee and a good vibe. Their lemon tart is also delicious. It is a perfect match for my favorite espresso.

Tiny cozy coffee shop on a small street <1 min walk off the crowded area of YongKang street. Very aesthetically pleasing-- a mix of a modern and antique feel. Counted less than 10 seats.
