Buzo Osteria Italiana

Summary: outstanding food, upscale and pricey Food: fried app trio was okay…Lacked flavor. The mahi mahi on zoodles/chickpeas special was outstanding. The specialty side salad was great too. Dessert was fantastic but overpriced. Delicious treat, yes, but $16 for a slice of cheesecake? Yea, absolutely not worth it. Feedback to the GM: your food is very good — fresh and flavorful— but your prices are a tad high, coming from an American. Even by fancy American restaurant standards, your prices are quite high. Delicious, but I don’t know that I will return purely based on cost factor alone.

The location was easy to get to, open and the hostess was very welcoming. Our server, though he stated he was new and hasn’t tried much of the menu, was still able to give some good recommendations. We started with the tuna tartare which was great, and the mushroom risotto, which was slightly undercooked. The flavor was there however, it wasn’t even cooked through. Onto our mains which were beautifully cooked and made us forget about the risotto almost immediately. The lamb was beautifully cooked and tender and the mint sauce was luscious, and extremely flavorful! My husband had the roasted half chicken which was falling off the bone and incredibly easy to eat. He isn’t a dark meat man but started with the thigh and leg and said it was cooked to perfection. We also got the lasagna which was flavorful and cooked so well. It had the crispy edges that I love and a soft tender inside that was overcooked. We ended with the chocolate soufflé and cheesecake and both desserts were beautiful!!! The soufflé came with a berry sauce and ice cream which were so perfectly because it was so decadent and the cheesecake had a great crust and was super creamy but also light! Our meal was beautiful and our server was great! Beautiful location and very spacious!

This place has a wonderfully relaxing ambiance and was easily one of the best dining experiences we had in this area of Barbados. While the prices are slightly higher than other spots nearby, the quality makes it well worth it. The bruschetta was outstanding, flavorful and generously portioned. We saved this visit for the last day of our trip, thinking it might be overhyped, but we instantly regretted not coming sooner, it would have been our go-to dinner spot. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided great details about the specials and dishes.

We had a wonderful duning experiene. Food is delicious! Also they brought me a nice dish for my b-day. We highly recommend it!

The food was amazing! They start you off with complimentary bread, which was good. We ordered the lasagna, fritto misto, and pappardelle . We also tried the Passione cocktail and swapped the whiskey for Mount Gay rum and it worked perfectly. Our server, Chris, was super friendly and gave us great recommendations. Just note that there’s a 13% service charge automatically added to the bill, but the service was so good that we left a nice tip.

Overall, Buzo not only met but exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s a place I will definitely return to, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an excellent meal, Buzo is undoubtedly the place to be!

Service by Mario was great he was very hospitable, the atmosphere was lovely and we really enjoyed the food!

Beautiful food, beautiful staff, beautiful environment. Buzo was a life saver for my father’s birthday lunch. The place we originally reserved gave our table away so we ended up at Buzo. What a gift that turned out to be. The staff was so engaging yet professional it was like we were regulars. Our server (I wish I could remember his name) gave us recommendations which we all loved. Our cocktails were divine (we had a lovely sorrel bellini number that made me wish I didn’t have to drive). The only note I will make is that the sauce of my pistachio pasta was splitting halfway through my meal but it was delicious even then.
