My son and daughter-in-law had visited this diner on a trip to Dallas a few months ago. When we all found ourselves in Dallas on Father's Day, they suggested we go for brunch.
Thanks to COVID-19, we had to mask up for entry but we're able to remove the masks once we got to the table. Tables seemed well spaced for the pandemic. Service was prompt.
Since the pandemic has them using disposable menus, the coffee drinks weren't listed. My daughter-in-law remembered a double chocolate mocha latte and we ordered those. It was good, though better for the chocolate lover than the coffee fan, as it was weighted to the former.
We were in the mood for breakfast. I had the amigas, scrambled eggs with cheese, flour tortillas, peppers, and veggie sausage. The taste was very good and filling. They also have a chorizo version but, while I love chorizo, my stomach doesn't always handle it well.
My wife and daughter-in-law had griddle toast, which is Buzzbrews version of French toast. Both were very pleased. My son had another egg dish that I think was called "The Mr. C" and pronounced it great.
The place is nothing fancy, but the food is as good, the portions more than adequate, and the coffee was hot. They're open 24/7, I believe, so it's convenient whenever you're hungry.
