First of all, I never want to disgrace any restaurant, but my experience at Aanch was disappointing. I’m genuinely puzzled how it has a 4.7-star rating and even made it onto the Michelin Guide when the food was awful. We ordered Paneer Butter Masala and Dilliwala Butter Chicken, each priced at $24.99, along with Tandoori Roti, Plain Naan, and Garlic Naan—one of each. Unfortunately, both of the main dishes had a sour gravy, and the paneer and chicken were so tough, it felt like we were chewing rubber.
We informed the staff about the issue, and the manager, who was respectful, insisted we give it another try. However, the second attempt still didn’t meet expectations. Despite the poor food, the manager didn’t charge us for the chicken and paneer, which was a nice gesture.
This place seems to be overhyped due to its rating. I’d suggest you think twice before visiting, as the experience might not live up to expectations.
