Yelp
The place to go to restock your spice cabinet -- it will cost you, at the very most, $1, to stock any spice jars you have on hand. They also carry harder-to-find dried chili, black and green mustard seed, dried mushrooms, hibiscus, smoked paprika, 5 types of peppercorns (try the Tellicherry, it's AWESOME) etc. There seems to be a good turnover of product, so I've not had issues with any of the herbs/spices being stale.
In addition to spices, BTP also has an impressive array of dals for Indian soups and curries, specialty flours: rice, bean, chick-pea, high-gluten, and others. Their dried-fruit assortment is fabulous: pears, apricots, blueberries, strawberries, figs, plums, cherries, peaches, dates...oh, I usually buy 4-5 varieties whenever I visit.
For baking and confectionary they have 6 or so varieties of high-quality Callebaut chocolate: white, dark, hazelnut, bitter-sweet, milk, and unsweetened. I also stock-up on macadamia nuts, blanched and whole almonds, hazelnuts, and pecans for cookies and sweets during the holidays.
Other items include: loose and bag teas, coffee, oils and vinegars, pasta, grains, candy-making cups and sprinkles, cellophane and paper goodie-bags for making gifts, and a thousand other odds and ends.
The staff are very nice, especially the mustached' British gentleman who is always ready to offer advice on ingredients for curries. One thing I wish they'd do is completely clean their dried-fruit bins...they're looking a bit down-at-heel.
