"Byblos is known for its fine Lebanese cuisine and, in non-COVID times, its live entertainment, including weekend bellydancing shows. The restaurant’s mashewe dishes, which showcase various meats cooked on a charcoal grill, are not to be missed. These large plates are served with hummus, salad, rice or steak fries, and some pita on the side. Another highlight is Byblos’ falafel and tahini sauce, prepped delicately and served on a bed of vegetables. Byblos is currently open for patio service, takeout, and delivery (DoorDash)." - Samer Khudairi

Google
Highly recommended for authentic and delicious Lebanese food. A well deserved 5 stars on everything! The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was so delicious without any exception: the cheese rolls, the labneh with garlic, and the hummus with meat and nuts are not to be missed. The space was clean and spacious and they had live music later on Saturday. I will definitely go again!

Google
This was so good dining in, I ordered take out the next day! The lamb chops were delicious and perfectly cooked, the falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the white wine was perfectly chilled!

Google
One of the greatest restaurant atmospheres I have been to! Great vibe, live music and great food I highly recommend it.

Google
Utterly delicious food. I ordered the Byblos Sampler, which had many items. I also ordered kofta kebab, Chicken kebab, Lamb chops. Will definitely go back here. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Google
Amazing food, great live music and dance ! Best falafel ever tasted !

Google
Byblos does not disappoint. They offer Boston's Lebanese food's gold standard. Lovely entertainment. My only complaint is that I don't go often enough. Maurice, the owner, checks on every table with genuine Lebanese hospitality. The servers are professionals. Impeccable food and fine dining. I'm always proud to bring friends to watch the live music and dancing along with beautiful food and first-class service.

Google
Fantastic dining experience. The food was fresh, tasty and authentic. The staff were professional and knowledgeable about the menu. While there is adequate indoor and outdoor seating; there is also adequate street parking available. Plus, live band music (and belly dancing) on Fridays saved Saturdays!!! I will definitely be back. Five Star!!!

Google
We had great atmosphere, service, food and entertainment. Family’s been going here for 15+ years and they never miss an occasion to dine or celebrate here. This was my first time with them while visiting from Canada and absolutely loved it!

Yelp
The word for the meal was "WOW!!" Over and over again. The falafel was PHENOMENAL! Like a fried falafel mousse. Crunchy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. The Halloumi was WONDERFUL!! The Vegetarian Kibbee balls were FANTASTIC!! And the Baked Kibbee and Lamb Kabobs were SPECTACULAR!! And our server, Scott, was AMAZING!! Again, the word for the meal was "WOW!!" over and over again!!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, convenient location, food is reasonably priced and service is decent. Food is good too but check with waiter to see which dishes are halal. The beef is not halal.

Yelp
We had sooo much fun. I had been curious about this place for awhile so when my mom sent me a check for my birthday and told me I had to use it for a nice dinner this is where we went. On Fridays and Saturdays there is music and belly dancing in the music room. When you reserve a table in the music room it is $50 per person for the mezze which like a 4 course tasting menu and and the evenings entertainment. Each course was delicious. The meat was tender. The falafel was great. The cheese roll was my favorite. The waitstaff was really kind and attentive. We had a couple of cocktails which are also delicious. The concert was really fun. I don't know if it people get up and dance every time but it was a straight up party on Friday night.

Yelp
I've had the pleasure of dining at Byblos several times now, and each visit has been an absolute delight. From the romantic ambiance to the delectable food, this Middle Eastern (Lebanese) eatery consistently delivers on all fronts. Byblos has a spacious interior that is perfect for an intimate dinner or a lively gathering. On weekends, the restaurant comes alive with live music and belly dancers, providing an entertaining and captivating atmosphere. Despite the bustling environment, the service remains swift and attentive. During my most recent visit, my fiancé and I decided to order the Chicken Hashweh once again. The dish was nothing short of divine. For those new to Middle Eastern (Lebanese) cuisine, Chicken Hashweh serves as an excellent introduction. But as someone who has grown up savoring these flavors, I can assure you that Byblos' rendition is truly top-notch. The nuts sprinkled on top were roasted to perfection, adding a delightful crunch to the dish. A standout at Byblos is their homemade hot sauce, which is simply stunning. If only I could get my hands on the recipe to recreate its magic at home! To accompany our main course, we enjoyed a Tabouli salad, which was evidently crafted with love and expertise. I must extend my compliments to the chef and the entire Byblos team. They have a true knack for putting together beautiful and satisfying plates that never fail to leave a lasting impression. Each visit to Byblos leaves me with a smile on my face, and I am certain that my fiancé and I will be returning time and time again. If you're in the mood for an unforgettable Middle Eastern (Lebanese) dining experience, Byblos is the place to be.

Yelp
Excellent Lebanese food and authentic Lebanese nights on the weekend! We were a party of 5 and booked in the music room on Saturday. The Ambiance reminded me of Beirut nights, a belly dancer with live one man show that put everyone in a great festive mood and you can dance and enjoy the evening. We took the Mezze all included ($40 per person) and ordered Lebanese Ksara wine in addition. The quality and the taste of the dishes were soooo goooddd!! Like home! Highlights: Baba ghannouj, Falafel, fattoush, tabouli, cheese spring rolls, kibbe and grilled kafta, taouk and steak tips! Everyone was impressed with the quality of the taste! We finished with some sweets including ashta and walnut katayef- great flavors to finish a fun and lovely evening!

Nadege P.

Yelp
We've only done takeout but it's been great. The ambience of the restaurant seems good- when picking up you have to enter the dining area. The food is delicious! We haven't experienced dine in service but take out was fine.

Ani J.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Service was amazing but we could not enjoy it because the music was sooooo loud it was painful at 96-103 decibels for two hours!!!! I am a musician and this is totally irresponsible. You are making your audience deaf! We asked nicely for it to be turned down but the older manager said, no. We couldn't even have a conversation. We spent over $250 and we will NOT return due to the loud music. Loud does not equal fun, party atmosphere.

Mackenzie V.

Yelp
It is pretty nice inside our table had a flower vase w a rose and the servers were very nice too. Food was good I enjoyed the meat so much and the chicken was tender. The rice was also well flavored. I would say it was just so busy so we had to wait a really long time for both our appetizer and meal, definitely recommend going at a less crowded time

Sultana M.

Yelp
Restaurant was very unorganized. No one to help with check in. Absolutely unorganized: they sat multiple guests who came after us just because they seemed to know them. We had a reservation, and still kept waiting despite arriving before them. Service was slow. The server gave us the dessert menu and disappeared for 15+ minutes. I had to go and request someone to service our table. When the server did show up, she was not at all apologetic. Servers and restaurant's behavior did not feel welcoming at all. They will try to sell you the "set menu" if you want to sit in the "music room" with live music. This was not mentioned anywhere (maybe I missed the fine print). The food tasted good though. Everything else was sub optimal given the price point. Lot of opportunity to do better!

Dick K.

Yelp
Vegetarian moussaka- I thought it's layered, not goulash style. So I'd not order again The Mrs loves lamb, and thought it was very good I ordered 5 sides, and they were ok/good They brought a lot of thin pita, excellent But the middle eastern musicians were very good, and the dancer she was also. The Lebanese beer was fair. The server was very professional ( a man studying at Johnson-Wales) The bill for four with 2 sharing a meal was $185, but we had a couple of drinks of liquor and wine. Ambiance because of the music and dancer was very good, it's a lovely kept up place.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
I was so happy with the service here. We were a large party celebrating my dad's birthday. Najeeb gave us a great table and Maurice checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Our server was great, super attentive and very accommodating. We had so much fun with the entertainment too. We had a great table in a very convenient spot. They even brought out the cake while the singer sang happy birthday for my dad. The whole staff made it a great night for us. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a special event. It's not often you find a place that has great service, great food and fun entertainment. Thank you to everyone at Byblos!

Mariya A.

Yelp
Great service and delicious food !!! Best hummus I have ever had ! Chicken was very moist and salmon was also very flavorful.

Bea T.

Yelp
This was the most fun restaurant for Friday night! This by far has the best Lebanese food. Everything was fresh. We had the set dinner. It was an assortment of different appetizers and my favorite of course was the Baba ghanoush and the falafel. I also like the mixed grill ( I forgot to take a picture because I was mesmerized by the belly dancer and was so distracted while dancing.) The baklava was delicious. Our server was a very kind and suggested a good blended red wine. My favorite the whole evening was the entertainment and the belly dancer. She was so much fun to watch. I of course danced in a Lebanese circle and had the time of my life. I highly recommend this place for groups and any celebration!

Naz N.

Yelp
I have become the fan of Byblos! We went there for their belly dancing performance. They have a set menu when you choose the music room. The menu is great! Plenty of mezzas and the main course had the vegetarian option which was great. Their cocktails were spectacular! The live performance was very entertaining. First half of the show was belly dancing and the second half was Arabic singing. I highly recommend Byblos. Just ensure to call and make reservations for the "music room". When booking through online Apps, they don't give you the option to book for live performance.

Adele P.

Yelp
I love Lebanese food and I've had some great food over the years, but this is, by far, the best place I have visited. Unbelievably good! We were in Norwood visiting friends and they brought us here for a treat. My daughter and I were so happy, this place is phenomenal! They hit it right on every point. Our friend ordered the Mezzah for 4 and asked for some separate vegetarian items for himself. The waiter said that they would make him some vegetarian extras as part of the Mezzah and bring the meat dishes for the other three people. I thought that was a very nice and thoughtful accommodation. The hummus, baba ganoush, falafel and grape leaves were to die for. The beef and lamb were both succulent and juicy. I swear, if it weren't 5 hours away, I'd go again tonight! Service was excellent and they went above & beyond. We had a lot of leftovers that we were able to pack up and bring home. All in all, this is really the best Lebanese place I've visited.

Siri Z.

Yelp
We waited over an hour for the food to come and ate it all within 10 min. But at least the food was good. The kafta kabob was flavorful and chicken kabob was juicy, but honestly the star of the show was that aromatic rice MMH. The freshness of the tabouleh helped balance out all that meatiness, and their hummus really put Sabra to shame. The dolma was just fine, nothing amazing.

Fares A.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. Great food, lots of veggie and vegan options. There's two rooms, one has music / live band / belly dancer (I don't know what the schedule is so check with them) and has a set menu. Again really great veggie options, would definitely go back!

Sreenivas C.

Yelp
Food was good. Some dishes like Chicken Kabob and Hummus were really good. Drinks were great. Baba Ganoush and Backlava were good. I did not like the lamb chops. However, this restaurant falls short on service a bit. We had a reservation for 3 people, but were given a two person table with a third chair tagged along. Not acceptable for having a reservation, IMO. But, not a big deal. Waiting staff was friendly. However, food from the time we ordered took a very long time to come, which dampened our experience. My overall 4 stars is a bit generous here. Our experience will not have us going back here.

Sheryl F.

Yelp
Very disappointed. I've been coming here for many many years. I can no longer afford to eat here. No more luncheon specials and everthing is now a La carte! I found an old menu at home and everything is at least $7 less. All entrees used to with hummus and salad. Now salads are $2 extra and they even charge $1 for feta cheese! On the dessert menu the mamoul has gone from $7 to$12. I can buy a package around the corner for $12. Unfortunately won't be back unless it's for appetizers

AF S.

Yelp
Do I recommend this restaurant?! Yes! A thousand times, yes - but for eat-in. We have been here many times. The food is fresh, flavorful, and delicious. You can taste the quality and care in each preparation. The menu is extensive and expensive, but soooo worth it. The Mezze plates are not to be missed. The staff are friendly and attentive. The owner also comes around to check-in on guests. The restaurant is very neat, clean, and spacious. They also have a space for events. My only criticism is that portions are noticeably smaller when you order take-out, but if you are eating in... choose this place. It's delicious.

Dana N.

Yelp
Food was quite good. Service is slow. Cannot recommend for Friday and Saturday nights as the live music , while entertaining, is deafening. Dangerously loud. No possible way to have a conversation across the table. Sun-Thurs night restaurant for sure.

Joe L.

Yelp
We went here for a family dinner and sat outside. We ordered dishes that we could all share. We started with Mezuzah which had a number of their different appetizers and some grilled meat. It was really good - the humus and baba ghannouj were outstanding and I very much enjoyed the grape leaves that were filled with meat. The $160 platter for 4 easily fed the 6 of us. We also ordered the Lebanese Surf and Turf which had Shrimp and Lamb Chops. This was the best part of the meal. Lamb was 6 Star Good! Service was good after our waiter was assigned to our table which took a few minutes and I could tell they felt really bad about that taking so long as the manager came by and apologized for the delay. Overall a good place to go for some authentic Lebanese food.

Dana S.

Yelp
The food is good, but the place is just filthy. Carpeted flooring in a restaurant is gross, and this place has wall to wall carpeting. There is also a musty smell right when you walk in. Speaking of walking in, there is no host to greet you as you walk in. And the service is slow. Like I said, the food is good, but everything else is not.

Jay B.

Yelp
There's nothing more superlative you can say about this place vita the best for what it does.

Katrina D.

Yelp
I went here a year ago and I remember the food being good but the falafel is to DIE for and I'm not even a big falafel fan. Honestly, that's really all you need to know.

Sophie B.

Yelp
Excellent flavors and delicious food. Lentil soup was phenomenal You can taste the care and effort they put into making this food. They take Covid seriously. They take your details to help with contact tracing if necessary. Only wish they would steer clear of the styrofoam.

Jake M.

Yelp
FANTASTIC authentic Lebanese food, extremely fresh ingredients, well prepared, and fairly priced. This place is a gem!

S K.

Yelp
This is an authentic Lebanese cuisine!! It's fabulous! I'd highly recommend it to everyone!

Ted Z.

Yelp
This is my second time dining at this restaurant, but it's the first time writing a review. I will break it down by category: Food: My meal was awesome! I can't speak highly enough about the quality of the food and presentation. I have the chicken kebabs, and the rice was perfectly cooked, the grilled tomato, pepper and onion were amazing, and the chicken was perfectly grilled! It really was the perfect meal for me. The feta house salad that came with it was also very good, and the dill based dressing it comes with was so tasty! I will definitely get that again. Service: The service was solid, and the manager even came around to check and ensure that we were being taken care of; very professional! Atmosphere: Clean and very simple atmosphere. It looks as if it is on the fancier side, although you certainly don't need to wear a shirt and tie to dine here. There were patrons in sport coats, but also patrons in Bruins gear and baseball caps. You can feel comfortable tiny here no matter what level of dress you are in. The one concern that I did have was that it was belly dancer/live music night. I had no problem with that at all, other than the fact that the sound level was incredibly loud, and I had to scream to hear my wife across the table. She says I am getting old and I should lighten up. Maybe. But to me, if I am enjoying a nice fancy dinner at a good restaurant, I shouldn't have to scream to hear my date like I'm inside a helicopter. Again, maybe I'm alone in this. I will definitely be back, but I will just make sure that I pick a non-music night for dinner! Value: as I mentioned before, I thought the food was five stars... It really was good. I think the cost for the food was very fair. I did think the drinks were a bit expensive, especially considering that we are in Norwood. I believe two Cosmos were $28. I'll just a nap though, if you are not drinking, I think the food quality is right in line with what you get! Overall, if you are looking for a nice Lebanese restaurant with very high-quality Lebanese food, this is the restaurant you want to go to! If you are not into the Lebanese music/belly dancing, you may want to inquire what nights they do that.... But if that's your thing, you will be in heaven!

Mary S.

Yelp
One of our go to restaurants for in person as well as take out especially when entertaining a group at home. So we ordered on Wednesday for a Friday night pick up. Placed everything in the fridge for party Saturday 12: noon. Oh my there must be a new cook or they were more focused on in house customers. The place as always was crowded Friday night. Our take home Falafel was sooo overdone could not serve , the salad so wilted and soggy could not serve. The vegetable moussaka dry as well as rice. Hate to write this as Maurice and staff always so good. My guys 30th Birthday and just such a disappointment even from family who always look forward to our Middle Eastern spreads Will try again but, not before addressing our dissatisfaction.

Car Detailing M.

Yelp
Never disappoints , always amazed for the high quality of the food, the way we've been treated and a peaceful atmosphere. We can't wait to go back. Nothing compares.

H H.

Yelp
Food is very hit or miss. I find the waitstaff to be inconsistent as well. When everything is good, this place is amazing. If they're off it's pretty awful. I would say it's worth trying but don't be surprised if the food is underwhelming.

Mark T.

Yelp
Really good Lebanese food. Prepared and presented well. We enjoyed the kibbee, falafel, artichoke, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, shrimp and beef kabobs, etc. Very nice atmosphere with attentive service the entire evening.

Freedom Mom A.

Yelp
We waited 2 hrs before our dinner came. We asked them to bag our food so we could go home. We got a drink at 30 min and appetizers which we devoured at 60 min. They never asked if we wanted another drink. They seated people inside and outside but are too understaffed. The manager/owner came to us b4 we left and apologized he said that they are understaffed and he hasn't been able to hire. No one wants to work. (No food discount.) This is sad. We loved this restaurant. They used to have music and tasteful bellydancing at 9. Suggestion: get there early and order appetizers. Cheese rolls were delicious.

Tara K.

Yelp
Great food! The i are huge and outdoor seating is lively. Service was slow and could've been friendlier. The artichoke was a bit too soaked in lemon sauce, also but the hummus was very good. Great for kids, too.

Steven H.

Yelp
The best Lebanese food! Fresh, healthy and delicious! Generous portions. The Byblos Family Platter is fabulous.

Daniel M.

Yelp
While the food was good it took over 70 minutes for it to arrive. When the manager/owner came by to ask how everything was going I told him of our long wait. Instead of apologizing for the delay he responded by saying that all of the food is made from scratch and takes time. I don't believe that is a valid answer given a couple that got seated at the same time as us were already paying their bill by the time we were complaining. He then joked that it can take up to two hours to get your food, and proceeded to do nothing to remedy this situation. The waiters were polite and the ambiance was Ok. I would only recommend this restaurant for people who don't mind waiting over an hour for their food.

Vanessa H.

Yelp
If you're looking for good middle eastern/lebanese food near this area...this is the place to go! I always come here with my parents whenever we crave Lebanese food. The food is fresh, service is great and it's family friendly. We always get their mezza ( which is basically a little bit of everything). Their falafels are by far the best i've had near this area. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options too!

Farah P.

Yelp
My go to Mediterranean food in that area. The lamb chops is the bomb and their Kibbe. It is pricey but so good.

Dimitri C.

Yelp
Cannot say enough about the quality and consistency this restaurant, my family has gone here for years. Authentic Lebanese cuisine with a strong varied menu and terrific staff!

Debby D.

Yelp
This place just keeps getting better. Always fresh, always great service and never a bad meal. Particularly loved the appetizers and could easily make a meal of them. Artichoke, kibee and especially makanek. Full bar and great wine selection. If you are anywhere near Norwood, go here!

Anna G.

Yelp
Lamb chops, baba ganoush, fried cheese... my faves. + Good quality. Flavors are spot on. + Always easy to get a table without a wait. - A rather large restaurant, a vibe that's just OK.

L. H.

Yelp
Authentic flavors. Reminded me of home when I was, in fact , very far from home. The hummus is excellent and for dessert you can't go wrong with 'katayef bi joz' (as long as you're a nut lover).

Liza M.

Yelp
Fantastic food! Fantastic ambiance! Fantastic service! Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Stella G.

Yelp
Great authentic Lebanese food. The service was courteous and helpful. The music a bit loud for a non Lebanese ( did not understand a word). We had a wonderful time. Definitely recommend and we'll be back for more.

Haniya S.

Yelp
I normally love this place. The food is fantastic and it has an amazing ambience. I have brought many of my friends and family to this local spot. The service was always slow and we would definitely end up waiting for attention longer than usual, but never unbearable. However, yesterday was a unique experience where I spent nearly 3 hours at this restaurant because we were ignored the whole night and only got service when we flagged people down multiple times. We sat for 30 minutes waiting for someone to take our orders. After 30 mins, the manager came over and asked if someone had taken our order and when we said no. He said he would bring over complimentary apps. We never got these apps. We then waited another 15 minutes. 45 minutes total before someone took our order. After we ordered, it took an unusually long time to get our meals. Once we got our meals, no one came to our table to check on us. We waited another 45 minutes for the bill after finishing our meal. The worst part is, the table next to us had 3 different people waiting on them even though they came after us. We arrived at this place at 7:45pm when the restaurant was full and ended up being the last party leaving because no one was waiting on us. We left at 10:45pm. Hands down the worst dining experience I've ever had. I love this place and was deeply disappointed but how badly we were treated. I hope to see the service pick up.

Thanh L.

Yelp
First time, for me at Lebanese restaurant. We were greeted right away and seated. We ordered the land chops and the surf n' turf. The lamb chops were cooked perfect. They were crispy and smokey on the outside. The inside was tender and juicy. The hummus was creamy and had oil. It was great with the pita bread, pickles, and olives. The salad was good. The grapes leaves were filled with rice and ground pork. It was not bad. Had a sour taste. Just a little different for me. It was pricey, we spend about $49 with tip. Portions were just enough and service was good. This place is worth a try.

Ina B.

Yelp
Love this place! Never disappointed!!! Food is great! Service is great! A winner!

Sasha D.

Yelp
Amazing food the people nice and it's very filling loved it here I highly recommend this location

Jonathan T.

Yelp
Great food, hospitality and entertainment. The Messah Extra is the set menu that you have to order to enjoy the entertainment i.e. BELLY DANCE! Just to give you an idea just how much food we had for $41 per person, below is a list of everthing we sampled: Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Kibbeh Nayeh, Olives, Pickled veg, Mekanek (Sausage), Shanklish (Cheese), Tabbouleh, Fattoush (salad), Cheese rolls, Grape leaves, Kibbeh balls, Falafel, Spinach Fatayer, Sfiha, Kafta, Beef, Chicken, pita, Olive oil etc. That's close 20 different type of food, and they all taste great. The falafel is a must try, so is the meat platter. While I am still unsure if the food alone is worth $41 per person, the experience is what made the dinner worth while. Highly recommended.
