I had such a lovely time at Byron in London. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with comfortable seating and a clean, stylish setup. I ordered a classic cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and a Coke — everything was served fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with taste, while the fries were crispy and just the right amount of sweet. A special mention goes to Jason, my waiter, who made the experience even better. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s rare to find that level of service these days, and it really stood out. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Byron to anyone looking for a good burger spot in London. Great food, great service, and a great vibe. I’ll absolutely be coming back! 🍔🍟🥤

Google
Great food at Byron, there was a good variety of burgers and all the ones we had were lovely (definitely recommend the Dirty Byron!). The chicken tenders, sauces and brownie were also all nice. We booked through FirstTable, so got amazing value with 50% off our food. Would definitely come back again in the future.

Google
The low rating on this review might be because I didn’t eat it on-site and chose delivery instead, or because I ordered close to closing time. If I had visited the restaurant at a normal hour, I might have given a better score. The cheese bites were very plain and lacked flavor. The boneless chicken was quite good. As for the burger, the patty was overcooked, and the outside edges were almost burnt, which I personally don’t like. The rest of the burger components didn’t stand out either. I don’t think I would order again — this is my honest personal opinion.

Google
Still very good burgers. Yes, they were better once. But really nothing to complain about. Very friendly staff. Very nice to our kid. Reasonably priced in comparison with the competition.

Google
My buddy randomly said 'Let's try Byron Burger for lunch' and I'm so glad we did! We both went for the Byron Classic Burger and wow that first bite was everything. The beef patty was juicy with this amazing charred flavor, and the cheese melted just right. Gotta be honest though, by the end it was a bit of a mess the bun couldn't quite handle all that goodness. But you know what? When a burger tastes this good, you don't even care about the napkins piling up. The fries were killer too golden crispy with that perfect crunch. What really topped it off was the staff super friendly and made us feel right at home. Already texting my mate about when we're going back... maybe next time I'll brave one of their spicy options. The toilets were sparkling clean seriously impressive. More restaurants should take notes from Byron’s standards.

Google
Byron offers a cozy atmosphere and great service, making it a nice spot for a casual meal. The burgers are tasty and well-prepared, but the portions are on the smaller side, especially considering the price point. While the quality is generally good, the value for money could be improved. Still, it's a pleasant place to grab a bite if you're in the mood for a gourmet-style burger with a relaxed vibe.

Google
Bayron Hamburgers was an amazing surprise! The burgers were absolutely delicious — high quality, with soft, fresh buns and a generous portion of juicy meat. The pickles were excellent and added a perfect touch of flavor. The fries were crispy and just right. I ordered a combo with refill, but the portion was so satisfying that I didn’t even need it. I also had a chocolate milkshake that at first looked huge, and I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish it… but it was so smooth, delicious, and not overly sweet that I ended up drinking the whole thing! To top it all off, the staff was super kind and even helped me charge my phone. Great food, great service — highly recommended!

Google
We were glad to find one of our favourite places near to the Natural History Museum. We visit here a few times a a year and are always on the lookout for a great spot for a burger. Byron burger delivered on taste and service, Jason was extremely polite and attentive and made us feel welcome. Our burgers and fries were delicious, and the onion rings were out of this world! Only thing I would say is our milkshakes seemed like they needed more mixing, feeling thin at the top with lots of thick ice cream at the bottom. Definitely will be back to try other burgers on the menu. I had the Byron burger and Mum had the chilli burger (spicy!!!)

Yelp
I've had Byron's delivered but not sat in one until today. Luckily there was a 2 for 1 offer on burgers so in we went. I had the Chilli burger and my friend had the Smokey. My fiend didn't like the buns not toasted but I wasn't fussed, my burger tasted nice, it too much Chilli and a good combination of ingredients. I tried a Byron's beer which was good Onion rings are very good, not chewy but crispy and fresh but eat while hot. We also had the tots which are basically has browns but served as little Balls which is a nice format but let down by the so-called cheese sauce which was runny and more milky with very little taste of cheese, it would've been blasted to serve up a blue cheese sauce, but for some strange reason they stopped doing it. Apart from all that quite pleasant Surroundings, a little bit of a noisy side but we're definitely come here again.

Yelp
Good was good and the waitress suggested the holloumi fries and so do I. Shakes are really good as well along with the other food. Neat place to go to and the have several locations. Oh and you have to try the onion rings.

Yelp
Service was great and that is about all the good news! There were four of us and two got the fried chicken and two got grilled. The grilled chicken was extremely salty and had a ton of mayo smothering the sandwich. The chicken had a terrible texture and tased rubbery. We ended up not eating at least half our sandwich as it was that bad. We asked for no seasoning on the chips and of course they had a ton of salt. The fried chicken was much better but again was over sauced. Wish we could recommend this place but there has to be better proper burgers than this!

Yelp
Service was great! Food was better than I thought it would be for chain. My only complaint was milkshakes very runny and place could be cleaner. Otherwise, a tasty burger buy!

Yelp
Have been meaning to get to Byron for a few months now. Almost went the other week but saw Planet Hollywood and went there instead. Which was disappointing. Now, after finally managing to eat here, in hindsight I wish we had gone to Byron. If you've never been to Byron before, you may want to be aware that side orders are not included within the ordered main meal. So no fries, no salad, no onion rings....Instead you need to order whatever you having with your order and there's a lot to choose from. From start to finish they were professional and attentive. We were offered a couple of places to sit, and opted for a table for two by the window looking onto the park next door. So had a pleasant view of park goers visiting to jog, take the dog for a walk or whatever. Looking over their menu, I was going to order the byronanldo but instead went for the classic chicken burger. We waited about 15 minutes for our food. My classic chicken consisted of a large piece of seared chicken breast, perfectly cooked, with red onions, tomato, lettuce and Byron sauce with a brioche bun. Now, usually I'm NOT a fan of brioche buns with burgers, but this was pretty damn good and all ingredients complemented each other perfectly. I got Skin on chips to go with mine, which were very good. Elle went for a cheese burger medium well done, without the bun. Yes, you heard me! With a side of sweet potato fries. She was also impressed, it came with salad and monteray jack cheese on top. We were both extremely impressed with the service and the food. Too bad we didn't have time for desert, although we had already been to the hummingbird cup cake shop and purchased our cupcakes, so we were good to go! If you want an awesome burger and don't mind paying a little more for good food and good service then Byron's for you!!

Yelp
Oh Byron, that squishy bun advertising campaign got me, I'm not gonna lie. After seeing the post for so long, I decided to check out the Byron in Kensington and see if the buns really are so squishy! I can vouch for this - they are! Food wise, I got a vegetarian burger, as the lure of goats cheese and portobello mushroom proved too much!! Well, what can I say.. Simply divine! I had devoured it in less than 5 minutes! Too damn good! Spying they had added sweet potato fries to the menu, I couldn't resist ordering them and of course I wasn't disappointed! Crispy, seasoned to perfection, they were deliciously addictive and despite my best efforts, I finished the entire portion! Nom nom! I ordered some prosecco for the table as we were heading to a party afterwards and it tasted really good! Certainly, not badly priced at £24. Byron, I salute you! Your burgers are squishy, the fries rock and you served a hella of a vodka shot!

Yelp
During my summer stay in London, Byrons was my go to place for food. This place was so amazing for a chain restaurant. I'm having withdrawals since being back in the US. The service was fast, the waiters were attentive, the outdoor seating was lovely, and of course the food is spectacular. My favorite burger was the clucky!
google avatar

Haley B.

Yelp
Here we go...... This place officers indoor and outdoor seating. Unlike many places they do not allow smoking in the outdoor seating and there is a very limited amount of tables. It seams to be first come first serve so not sure if they would accept reservations or not. I'm not from London so I don't have a car here but it does appear there is street parking on the side roads. Atmosphere/random view points. This is a very causal setting. Seamed to be a very cozy nook with many locals. The locations is super convenient. We took the tube from Earls court to south Kensington, only a few stops. Walk right down the road and found this place. The pricing to me seams kinda high for a burger joints. I found nothing about this place to be gourmet. Taste. The pulled pork/ loaded fries were super good but other than that everything else was basic. The burger had little to no flavor, the bacon was the same. O I should add we both ate the double bacon cheese burger/ onion rings/ fries, and loaded fries. The onion rings weren't greasy but again basic. I felt like everything was severely lacking in flavor. For the whole meal we paid like 70$ US. To me I felt I could have had just as good of a experience at a local burger chain. I will add the staff was extremely friendly though. Customer service was not lacking at all.

Yelp
Simply one of the best cheese burgers I've ever had! And their cheese fries are to die for. Vanilla shake was very good. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This particular Byron is one of the better ones. It has a nice outdoor seating area, the same usual Byron quality and absolutely amazing service from the waiting staff. If you fancy a burger and you're in the area, you can do a lot worse than to visit this branch.
google avatar

Michael E.

Yelp
I had a b-rex burger, sweet potato fries and strawberry milk shake. They were all good.
google avatar

Ed T.

Yelp
I've always been a fan of Byron, especially now the B-Rex is back on the menu and they serve some of the better burgers in London from a chain. I tend to stay away from chains just because there's generally so much other choice, but in the South Ken area there isn't as much as I would like (that doesn't cost the earth!) I've fallen back in love with it though (after a fair bit of booze I must admit), after another visit last night. We were seated immediately and our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. Beefy goodness, crunchy and amazing sweet potato fries, and possibly some of the cheapest drinks in the South Kensington area! The next time I'm looking for a decent bar in South Ken that won't burn my wallet, I'll likely come here instead and just keep ordering the double vodkas.

Yelp
I do not want your cheddar, your Swiss or your American. I demand the thing that should be a universal right. Goats cheese on my damn burger! After coming here I'm starting to demand it of other burger joints and none can deliver. When we first came here the server suggested it and I've never looked back. A 'Byron' burger with goats cheese is truly the bomb! We have also tried the 'Miami Slice' which comes a close second as it has beef crackling as a garnish! You must have the courgette fries. Two burgers and this tasty revelation was perfect to look after two people though I did feel for the price there should have been an included small side option. Each time we have been here the service has been exemplary with helpful friendly servers and fast service in a nice art deco-y diner-ey environment. This is especially true after a long day being nerdy at the museums. Even when food was delayed (they inexplicably had no burgers!) they gave us complementary nachos (good guacamole) to ease the wait. That said, the explosion of posh burgers has greatly inflated the price and this is on the higher end of what I'd feel is reasonable. Overall this is really nice place with premium burgers that in years to come, when the goats cheese in a burger revolution is in full swing, is where it all began.

Mark S.

Yelp
Yeah, it's just a burger, but it's actually pretty good (and not overcooked like most burgers in England). What you should get excited about though is the milkshake! Chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or oreo... and it's a real American style milkshake made with ice cream, not just thick chocolate milk. Byron also does a lot to promote Movember, which raises money for prostate cancer research and other men's health issues. So if you're there during the 11th month of the year and see a lot of moustaches, that's why!
google avatar

Kristi H.

Yelp
I hadn't had much American food since being here in London, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this chain. But when I ordered the Smoky, I got a big burger with great tasting beef (super juicy!). The quality of the beef itself was enough to make me consider going back at a later time!
google avatar

Kirsten G.

Yelp
"Proper hamburgers" I only had a Greek salad....which was excellent. Tons of olives and feta on top of their house, fresh dressing. my husband had the burger. It was just ok. Meat was a little dry, but the cheese and fried onions and bbq sauce was great. The skin on chips were decent....nothing too great to write about. It was a good lunch, not great.
google avatar

Gabriela G.

Yelp
The french fries were nothing special. The salad was quite big. I could have easily felt full with it only. Really enjoyed the lemonade though. Real freshness!

Yelp
I am fond of GOOD hamburgers, though I seldom find what I am looking for in London. The two places that really made what I consider a decent hamburger were the now defunct 'Wolfe's" (still one in Covent Garden) on Knightsbridge and the 'Texas Lone Star' mini chain, also closed down. I also thought the US chain 'Wendy's' was the best fast food hamburger joint but they too no longer have UK branches! I think GBK (Gourmet Burger Kitchen) are quite good but lack the juicy succulence that I admire in a top patty. Byron is one step closer to what I am after. The burger patties are just better than their competitors. The chips are OK but I would happily nix them to avoid a few carbs. The service at this South Kensington branch is fine and despite being only a few doors away from a GBK I think they are a welcome addition to Old Brompton Road. RECOMMENDED!

Yelp
The burger is a little overpriced but tasteful! They have a variety of interesting beers but again they are over 4.5 pounds... It is nice for a dinner in the week. We were 4 people and had 3 burgers with 3 beers each and we paid 100 pounds!

Sofie L.

Yelp
Excellent burgers in terms of value for money. Chips are pricey but they have to find their profits somewhere. Great business concept executed with friendly smiles and precision. Good customer service changing the face and feel of diner style eating concept. I'd love to know how quality the beef really is since I generally avoid commercial beef because of high hormone / bios etc that feeds into the supply to sustain these numbers and flow. But I guess that's the beauty of many places like this- it's well guarded and all we can ever really decide is does it taste good? And the answer is a resounding yes!
google avatar

Yu Lian W.

Yelp
The burgers taste decent but nothing fantastic or impressive. Food is overpriced and service is average. Holy Cheesemas is nice but not worth the price.

Richard I.

Yelp
Writing this to balance the karma of a dreadful review I had to give The French Bookshop nearby. Since I'm the first to review, I wonder if this is a new opening? I haven't seen it before, though, that said, I don't hang around South Kensington an awful lot. Firstly, always judge a restaurant by its management. I turned up with a partner at 7pm and it was full of people too old for fancy dress wearing ghoul costumes for Halloween. And I mean full. It was early but there were no tables and four people ahead of us. But we were efficiently told we would have a 10 minute wait and put on a list, in case we decided to saunter off and return I guess. There is nowhere to wait in the restaurant (no bar). The premises are small and we were shown (within 10 minutes - good work) to a small table in the middle of a busy section. Now normally this is the first way to wind me up - waiters and customers knock into you (even more so when they're drunk), you're constantly shifting your position to allow people past, and so on. I didn't notice any of this. A good sign. Service came quickly, was friendly and confident, and the food was with us within 10 minutes despite the crowds - and was of a very high standard. The menu is quite limited and fits on to one A4 page with little difficulty. To me, this indicates they do few things, but they do them well, and that counts for more than a 100 mediocre dishes. Had to visit the toilet - there was only one in action, for some reason, and this was the disabled version. Again, worth noting that while it obviously hadn't been attended to by staff for a bit as someone had (presumably drunkenly) had fun with the toilet paper, it was clean and there was soap in the dispenser. This is never less than reassuring - it indicates an interest in hygiene in the premises. It was noisy due to the crowds but not, I think, due to any music - I certainly wasn't aware of any which is enough to say that it didn't bother me if there was - I do hate loud music when I'm eating. All in all, if you're in the market for a well made, tasty burger, served by genuinely pleasant staff, come here. It's very good. My companion had an ice-cream dessert and that looked pretty amazing too.

Ken E.

Yelp
This is the most ponsy burger joint I have ever been to, but the burgers were very good. Go for the hand cut chips! Service was very good, too.
