C & G's Smoking Barbeque

Unfussy, simple, hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. But seriously, those are the best kind. This no-frills place still serves up some delicious BBQ. The proprietor helpfully gave me a tour of the menu before I ordered. Time spent from placing my solo order to eating was around 10 minutes. The rib tips were perfectly smoked and generously dressed in a tasty sauce with a perfect amount of zing/heat. The fried mushrooms were fine but lacked much flavor in the seasoning and breading. Still, the generous portion size made me happy. Taking a quick gander at the glowing articles posted on the walls, the accolades make sense. There are plenty of great options and I’m looking forward to repeat visits.

First time customer but I'll be back. I ordered the rib tips and wings combo (3 wings and 1/2 pound of rib tips) and it was delicious. The rib tips were meaty with a great smoky flavor and the crisp chicken wings had a tasty rub. The photo shows only two wings because one didn't make it home. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This place has the best catfish I've ever eaten. And I don't know what all goes into their banana pudding but it is magical and I'm officially addicted. Mac and Cheese was good, it wasn't trying to be anything crazy, just good Mac and Cheese. Their ribs and brisket were alright but it's the fish and that pudding I'll be back for as well as to try some more things.

The chicken wings are bombbbbb! I'm a chicken wing connoisseur and these were very good. The rib tips were a bit tough but had excellent flavor. Must get a side of hot & BBQ sauce.

C and G’s is the quintessential neighborhood family owed smoke house (if your lucky enough to know what that’s like). Their Coney Island is the best I’ve had. The brisket is thinly cut, stacked tall, sauced and capped off with an onion bun. All the sides are good. Nice folks, consistent, and worth the wait!

Ate here for the first time today. Ordered a variety of items off the menu and all of it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were delicious, everything was cooked to perfection, and we were so pleased with all of it we can’t wait to come back again! I highly recommend trying it!!

Food taste pretty good. I think pricing could be reduced for the portion. As you can see the ribs were pretty small compared to 20oz pop.

I had the pulled pork at closing time. Smokey flavor was phenomenal. The meat was a little dry but it was closing time. The coleslaw was coarse cut sweet with just a touch of heat. Will definitely order again. Atmosphere was perfect for a small Is mostly take out barbecue joint. Go give them a try.
