Decided to try C-viche based on the ratings. If you’re reading this, get the Pulpo (Octopus)! Might be the most flavorful we’ve ever had. Don’t listen to the very few negative reviews. This place is great. We want to thank our server, Maddy, for the patience, attentiveness and great service. Kudos also to the rest of the staff and especially the kitchen. I hope to be back soon for some more great food.

Amazing Fish Ceviche and delicious chicken enchiladas. Great wine selection. The service was great. Going back before heading back home!

Google
Decent place and I think they are trying but I have to downgrade because they did not serve the food ordered. The menu described a blue corn Inca cheesecake with blueberries. They served a clearly store bought plain raspberry cheesecake. This is not a 4.7 restaurant as currently rated on Google reviews.

Absolutely delicious!!! The food was beautifully prepared, very fresh, and authentic. This was a lovely little place with a cool vibe. We will definitely be back!

Hello everyone! I’m writing this review as a disappointed Peruvian. Me and my husband went there the other day. He ordered the 63$ steak plate and i ordered the Pollo a la brasa, to whoever that has never tried the Peruvian chicken PLEASE DONT ORDER THAT HERE!! It’s the worst pollo a la brasa that I’ve ever tried IN MY LIFE!! Not even in the cheapest restaurant in Peru you have such a bad quality chicken plus it was a mini mini chicken. -The ceviche was good, I like the fish a little more cook in the lemon but it was okay, more onion would had been appreciated. -The huancaina was the worst, my husband is American and I’ve made huancaina sauce at home and even him was like what kind of joke it’s this? -His steak was okay, a lot of tendons and fat but it was tasty. -Fries were delicious!✅ -The home made churros were hard, didn’t like it. -The 3 leches was good! Like it! ✅ -We didn’t have any alcoholic drink. The waitress was nice but he had a little bit of attitude, he kind of argued with me about something very stupid, we still left him a tip. Me and my husband left the restaurant feeling it was the worst 155$ ever spent + we drove 40 min to there. A better Peruvian restaurant in the area would be Chef Paz. Cheaper and better!

The food here is incredibly fresh and artfully prepared. The ceviche offerings are thoughtfully planned and delicious. Their entrees are simply fantastic and made with high quality ingredients and tremendous care. The cocktails they serve simply do not disappoint whatsoever. I truly enjoyed the spicy Mezcal Paloma. They had Chilean sea bass the evening we were there (pictured) and it was perfectly done. Flaky, light and flavorful. Dine at one of the tables or at the bar and just enjoy the softly playing music and enjoy the experience. The best dining option in Shorewood.

Google
It pains me to see some 2-3 star reviews that have not much to do with service and food. I hope people understand this is a new location and it takes a little while to work out timing and process. I went with a group of 8 last night and they did have a bit of trouble accommodating us right at our reservation time but we had no issues grabbing an extra drink and relaxing. The wait staff and bartenders were awesome and the food is incredible. We are lucky to finally have a great dining spot in the Shorewood/WFB area. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the food and we will be back very soon!

Google
I love the food at C-viche. The Entrees are delicious and perfectly sized. The Octopus appetizer was magnificent, but at almost $30 for a single tentacle, I can't justify the price of it. The Chaufa de Mariscos is one of my favorite things on the menu and if you are a seafood fan you'll love it as well. The Japanese Ceviche (sashimi, really) is excellent also and more reasonably priced. Been there 3 times already in the last 6 weeks and will probably go back soon again.

Yelp
Date of visit: April 11, 2025 This was actually our third choice after the first two spots we hit up on Oakland Avenue were packed to the gills and it was a bit too chilly to sit outside just yet. I was concerned that the menu would be a bit of a challenge for my particularly palated husband, but he thought he could make something happen and did indeed succeed! We started with the Esquite, which was a bit pricy for the amount of food, but was very fresh and we didn't let any go to waste! I wouldn't have minded a handful more chips in the dish but again, we ate every kernel of that corn. As far entrees, I went with the Enchiladas Verdes de pollo. I really did want to try something Peruvian, but I was worried that the substitutions I would ask for would make the dish less than great, and I didn't want to risk it. I did ask for the enchiladas without onions and that did not detract from the meal and I even ate the beans! I realize that may be less than exciting news for you but trust me, it's a big deal. It was an excellent entree, though the Wisconsin gringo in me would definitely prefer a bit more cheese here. I made sure to make a little room for some fried sweet plantains and again, another winner! Service was also very good, it's just the cost for the amount of food that has me unable to bestow five stars, but this was a great meal and I would definitely consider coming back for one of their weekly specials.

Yelp
Food: we got two different kinds of ceviche and one was definitely better than the other. We didn't prefer the mixto one. It didn't taste as fresh. We also got the esquites (corn) which was delicious. The pisco sour was also super tasty. I got a margarita and it was just okay. I prefer to taste the tequila and didn't taste much. Service: nothing to complain about Ambience: Definitely cuter vibe. Good date night spot Overall though I was underwhelmed by the food but I suppose I should expect that for a seafood restaurant in a landlocked state

Yelp
Excellent food and atmosphere. I came here with a group of friends, and everyone was very friendly and attentive. I had the scallop tacos, but the scallop special that night sounded amazing. The fried yucca fantastic! My favorite were the fried plantains with guac. I could've had a few servings just on my own. Minus one star because if I say I am fine with water and don't drink, please don't keep pushing a cocktail on me. I don't like to explain my medical history to people who don't need to know, but my friend did after one guy wouldn't quit telling me how good the cocktails are. I almost always only drink water anyway; there are a couple exceptions, but I am completely fine with water when I'm out.

Yelp
C-Viche is such a gem for Peruvian food! Brought my Peruvian friend that was visiting from out of town, and she was very impressed. Highly recommend the classic ceviche, papa a la huancaina, and anticuchos. These appetizers are pretty big and alone would have been enough food for the 2 of us. Everything was so flavorful and fresh tasting. We did split the scallops tacos for the main and could have done without. It was not only too much food for us but the scallops were also pretty salty. The corn tortillas were fresh, warm, and delicious though. Already can't wait to come back here to try more dishes and will save room for dessert next time.

Yelp
We went to the Bay View location when it was still open and oh my, this food was some of the best we've had in Milwaukee!! Our waiter was so nice and helpful as well when we were ordering. So sad they only have the shorewood location now, but it's worth a visit!!

Yelp
We always wanted to try C-Viche and finally dined in its Shorewood location. Our focus was on small plates. We ordered a panini, two tacos (one shrimp and one chicken), and an appetizer. The grilled panini was decent but did not stand out. The tacos (one shrimp and one chicken) seemed to have fresh ingredients and tasted very good. The appetizer was guacamole with fried plantain chips, corn and serrano peppers, which we liked best. Overall, we would rank this restaurant as the best in Shorewood (WI).

Yelp
Lovely and authentic Peruvian/Latin good. Fantastic cocktails as well. Excellent service and atmosphere too. It's a bit on the pricey side but the ingredients are fresh and well prepared so it's worth the cost.

Yelp
This is the second Time trying there ceviche Classico and trying there mescal mule and my GOD is it it good? Definitely something between salty and sweet with a hint of lime something new and different yet refreshing and the ceviche; well it's ceviche but here we are going Peruviano and it's how it should be above and beyond

Yelp
3 stars for my last tasty trip to Cviche. Just posting to ask management to update the Toasttab link so that I can order carryout dinner in Shorewood. Thanks, will be back when you're accepting orders.

Yelp
Went for taco Tuesday and were really disappointed. Scallops were chewy and I'm not sure how you can possibly make chorizo flavorless, but they succeeded. None of the tacos we ordered had much flavor except the lomo saltado and that flavor was salt. And the worst part may have been getting charged $1 for the Heinz ketchup for the papas fritas. Well, that dollar bought this review.

Yelp
Starter Pisco based cocktail (Lima) very good with unique pepper-infused single ice cube. Ceviche appetizer excellent. Entrees were all top notch. The writer had the steak tacos. Best ever. Even the refried beans were notable. Tostada entree stand out and the salmon plate had a tasty saice accompanying. Service also 5-star. We had Gerson as server: knowledgeable, prompt and helpful. On a busy night it may be a wee bit loud in the venue but, hey, it's better than a boring library. You'll love it.

Yelp
Margarita's with Don Julio anejo costs $28.00 ($20.00 a shot) A fifth costs around $57.00, there are about 16 shots in a fifth $20.00 x 16 = $320.00 $320 - $57.00 = $263.00 That is hell of a profit

Yelp
I've eaten here 3 times and it was great every time. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The menu is exciting with lots of seafood, Peruvian rolls (like sushi), unique Pim cocktails and fabulous plantains. The atmosphere is cozy and cool. Highly recommended!
