A typical farmhouse set amidst busy farmland producing some of the best produce in Italy, this place houses a Michelin-starred restaurant and offers a few rooms. ||||Drinks before dinner came with the most delicious parmesan I've tasted. Our dinner was excellent - the chef's take on the region's traditional food, with good Parma ham, a wonderful aubergine tarte tatin served with chocolate and cardamom ice cream and ginger, good ravioli, delicious risotto wrapped in pancetta, interesting pork, and a deconstructed zuppa inglese. The wine was also excellent, and service charming and helpful.||||The rooms are a little basic, reasonably comfortable but perhaps a little stark. Breakfast was disappointing given the resources of the kitchen - great coffee and apple juice, some fresh fruit and creme fraiche, but the bread and croissants were not fresh and rather poor, and the jams in little hotel-sized commercial pots. A little more effort is required if you are offering rooms attached to such a good restaurant.
