Ca' Bonfadini

The hotel location was superb - it is located near the entrance to a canal close to the northwestern part of the island, so getting here by water taxi from the airport is simple. It is a 5 minute walk to the train station when we were leaving, which made our departure stress-free, and also a short walk to the Rialto path that takes you straight to St Marks. This boutique hotel has simple and elegant furnishings, was super clean, and the staff was extremely polite and helpful - always welcoming and asking us if we needed anything. The breakfast was the best we had in any Italy hotel and was quite generous portion sizes - yogurt with granola, fruit, coffee, bread, meats/cheeses, and a selection of an a la carte item. All of the food was made in the hotel’s charming 1-star michelin restaurant, Dama (which we also enjoyed) - nothing was canned or packaged. We stayed in the top floor room with a terrace that has a lovely view of the city. I highly recommend this hotel!

Very nicely decorated hotel in a great location, close to everything but still slightly away from the swarm of tourists. There is what was described as a 'social room' which was magnificent to look at but essentially a living room in between other peoples rooms. We paid a fortune staying here, though the room was very nice and on the canal we did not receive a canal view as anticipated which was rather mortifying!! The ventilation system in the room was also a bit of a pickle, no air conditioning, too cold with the windows opened but far too dry with the windows shut. Breakfast was good, but a buffet theme with more fruits would have work better. Also as a five star hotel, there only seemed to be one option to dine in, on one night it was booked for a private function ...not great. Staff in general were good, two ladies in particular were great, one or two other gentleman had a hint of attitude though which was a shame.

What a great stay we had at Ca' Bonfadini in April! We absolutely loved the neighborhood that we were in. Quiet and close to everything we wanted to see. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The breakfast that was served was simply amazing, and way more than we expected for an included breakfast. Enjoyed being able to grab a glass of wine and enjoy time on the back terrace or at the tables in front of the hotel. The staff were very kind in helping to make reservations at other restaurants. The room was surprisingly high tech with the lights and do not disturb options. In the end, not a real issue, but we were between seasons and the heat was still running, made for very warm nights even with the windows open. Understand it was beyond their ability to control. We would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved this hotel. Complimentary cocktails upon arrival. Helpful staff. The junior suite was HUGE and clean. The location was impeccable. It was like having your own private canal that hardly anyone went down but was a short walk to the train station and the main attractions. Close to the vaporettos too. The breakfast is unbelievable. They have buffet breakfast items plus they give you a menu if you want to order complimentary food.

Qui sei un ospite, non una tourista- here you’re a guest not a tourist. Impeccable hotel. ||The Hotel is in a very convenient part of Venice. Cannaregio, with access to all Venice either at a short walk or with the frequent boat service that covers all Venice, Murano etc. ||The corner hotel room we were in, room 301, had lovely views from 3 windows overlooking the canal. Lovely room with a huge bathroom which included a 46” flat tv in the bathroom. The service - impeccable and attentive. And a b’fast in a Michelin star restaurant annexed to the hotel, was beyond our expectations. ||I will come over and over again, any time I come to visit Venice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and stay, it certainly is a 5 star hotel. From the beautiful hotel, service from all the staff, I would highly recommend. The delicious breakfast was a great way to start the day. Hotel is located perfectly, away from the busy crowds and the walkability to popular venues was very close to walk. Our flight was extremely delayed and upon our 4am arrival, the night staff were waiting for us. 24 hour concierge. Gianluigi, assisted with our stay by organizing a private walking tour which was absolutely amazing to learn about various parts and history of Venice. Highly recommend and we would certainly return.

Such a beautiful hotel away from the crowded area but close enough to walk everywhere. The staff at the hotel are faultless, you really feel spoilt here. The cleanliness of the hotel is unbelievable, everywhere is spotlessly clean and maintained to the highest standard at all times and smells so luxurious. It's so impressive how it feels so modern yet so historical. ||We stayed in a suite and it was simply wonderful. It was incredibly spacious and everything you needed was there, we had no need to request anything during our visit, everything was thoughtfully done. We were very impressed.||The breakfast was easily one of our favourite parts of our visit. The lovely lady who served us was so attentive and made every visit a pleasant one. The food was delicious everyday. ||Thank you to all of the staff at the Ca Bonfadini we will look forward to a return visit in the future.

This hotel is stunning definitely feels like a 5 star hotel! Complimentary cocktails upon arrival and a voucher for 2 more cocktails to use at the bar which was really nice! Staff were so friendly also Our room was stunning such a classic style but with a venation touch,the bathroom was very small though and the water would leak out onto the rest of the bathroom after showering. Breakfast was lovely,a set menu you can choose from American style or Italian. Only downside to our stay was the electricity did go for about an hour one evening and luckily we had already showered after getting back from a warm day and luckily we didn’t arrive back right when it went as we wouldn’t have been able to get into our room and get ready for dinner. What I didn’t appreciate was the hotel must not of had a backup generator as we had to sit in darkness for a hour and couldn’t leave our room as we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to get back in and we had a train to catch the next day. The staff also offered no updates on what was happening so we were left clueless waiting,kind of ruined our last night in Venice and we only had 2 nights. All in all these things happen but could be dealt with better in future which is why I gave it a 4 star review,the hotel is also a good bit of a walk from st marks square but its so worth it and I would stay again!

Beautiful 5 star hotel in Venice that resonated luxury. The staff members are all very kind and accommodating and even took the time to explain what the city has to offer and how far everything was walking distance. Be aware that it is about a 25 minutes walk to Saint Marks square. The private water taxi can dock right at the front of the hotel so it is very convenient if you don't want to walk or take the public water line. The suite is spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast that we had included was delicious and left us feeling full and satisfied. Definitely will be back again!

We (my wife and I) are traveling through Europe (London, Paris, Roma, Florencia, Madrid, Barcelona and Venezia) and staying in best-rated (Hotels.com) hotels along the way. That said, this hotel was absolutely amazing and it exceeded our expectations. We loved our stay, the staff was amazingly helpful. The location is perfectly situated away from the madness of the throngs of visitors, but yet still close enough for us to walk it all. Definitely worth the money and highly recommended.
