Ca' Del Moro

"Situated within the La Collina dei Ciliegi wine estate amid the verdant Valpantena hills, this first-floor restaurant (lift available) is home to two chefs – he is from Calabria, while she is from Puglia. Together they create exciting, modern Mediterranean cuisine using ingredients from their native regions, including their signature dish – homemade spaghetti served with a delicious, well-balanced 'nduja, smoked ricotta and tomato ristretto sauce. Top-quality local ingredients take pride of place, as demonstrated by the Brogna mutton, which is raised on site, barbecued and served with an exquisite caper sauce and seasonal mushroom pie. The concise wine list features labels from the Veneto alongside a few French options." - Michelin Inspector

An exceptional red wine tasting experience from start to finish. Every glass we tried was full of character, depth, and beautifully crafted—from smooth, fruit-forward expressions to bold, structured reds with elegant tannins. It’s rare to find a lineup where every wine impresses, but this tasting delivered just that. The host was friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, offering just the right amount of insight without overwhelming us. They shared stories about the vineyard, the winemaking process, and each varietal, which made the experience feel personal and meaningful. The setting was equally memorable—relaxed, scenic, and perfect for sipping slowly and soaking it all in. No distractions, just great company, stunning views, and world-class reds. If you’re a red wine lover, this place is a must. We left with a few bottles (and a strong desire to come back).

My husband and I stayed here and had such a great experience! Sabrina did a great job at giving us a tour around the vineyard and explaining how the various wines are made. Everyone at the property was great and made us free right at home. The property, common rooms, and rooms were very clean and nice. We had a great time. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

To find a place like this is to experience true Italian hospitality! My family visited Verona and then stayed 2 nights at Ca'Delmoro relaxing and of course eating the local cuisine and wine produced onsite. The location is in the hills and the air was crisp even in the summer. We traveled with two young kids who were treated in such a special way they felt at home. We are already planning a return visit.

We are very busy, patient people and rarely write reviews but the experience we got from this place left a very bad taste in our mouth and we see fit to share our experience so that no one has to go through what we went through. I can first start with the good, the place is quite beautiful, the rooms are very clean and very nicely decorated. But this is nothing if the service offered is very bad /mediocre (takes the icing of the cake). The Head chef David together with the manager Claudia totally ruined our last leg of our holiday. David (the head chef) was not only extremely unprofessional but also very RUDE. It happened that we were the only customers in the hotel during that time and in our first night there during dinner the head chef and his team were watching football and shouting from the top of their lungs. The second night of our dinner was the worst, we got very terrible to non existent service and they even burnt our food and we had to drive all the way to Verona late in the night (10 PM) to find food ( keep in mind we have a 1 year old and a 6 year old). Lastly on our last day (we decided to leave for another place due to the horrible service we received over the period of our stay) over breakfast, the Chef David refused to re- make eggs that he intentionally made raw and running for our 6 year old (even after we kindly requested for it to be properly cooked in the first place. Some of his colleagues were in disbelief of his behaviour and even had to apologise on his behalf). His service and mannerism was so despicable for a chef who bragged about working for Inter Milan. He has to learn to be humble and actually take a course on customer service if he wants to work in the hospitality industry. Moving forward the manager we believe her name was Claudia, was also very unprofessional, shouting at the waiting staff in front of the customers and even going into the extend of flirting with the head chef in front of us. The only people that we can recommend from this place was Almo and GianLuca both very humble and professional. We highly recommend Almo who gave us a tour of the property , listened to our feedback and apologised on behalf of his colleagues. The owner should look into making him the overall manager because of his over the top customer service.

Tutto eccellente e impeccabile.

Unico difetto: andarsene.
