Best Ice Cream Shops in Montreal - Eater Montreal

"NDG’s ice cream and sorbet of choice comes from the lovely Ca Lem, which over the years, has expanded to include five locations sprawled across the city. There’s a clear eye to Asia in its flavours, with options like taro, lychee, black sesame, and more." - Valerie Silva, Ashley Joseph

Always tasty and creative flavors, along with great service. A great way to spend a summer evening with a sweet treat.

Absolutely delicious ice cream. I’ve gone more than once and plan to keep coming back! All the flavours have been excellent. They two favourites so far are the dark chocolate (super rich) and the key lime swirl (amazing blend of flavours) On to of that the ambiance later in the day is awesome. A wonderful summer snack!

Super cute spot. They told me their ice cream all made homemade by themselves. The girl who served me offered me to sample, I sampled the dark chocolate and mango. Both were excellent. Mango one is sorbet like, very yummy and refreshing! Friendly service and clean environment.

We are thankful for spots like this serving tasty, soft, perfectly creamy treats to keep us cool. The distinctive, original mix of flavours are just the cherry on the... Well, you get the point. A great dessert for any time of day.

I will put this place in the list of top Ice-cream in Montreal. It is not too sweet and the flavols are uniques. It will be regret if you don't try this place. Highly recommend for cones ice cream. Try it and don't need to say thanks to me🤣🤣🤣

I have been wanting to go here for years! The flavours are always interesting. I was lucky enough to grab an apple pie swirl soft serve and it was delicious. If you live in the area, check it out and get some. The little van outfront is adorable and the decorations inside are really fun for selfies. I waited in line for a couple minutes while the birthday boy in front of me ordered a 'few' flavours then the service was lovely. Polite and efficient. Took a pint to go!

Ca Lem NDG. I would love to give a review for the actual product but alas,I cannot. Heard so much wonderful stuff about this place I was excited to try,so this was out first time. Will never try again.HUGE lineup. FULL of Concordia students and rude young adults bogging up the store. Only ONE young girl ( no one else working) behind the counter. Today was a particular treat for the other people in line as one concordia student, after receiving her order , proceeded to drop the 2 stacked scoops of ice cream onto the floor while holding the cone, and stood staring and giggling at the mess, so this delayed service even more since the confused counter girl had to replace her order. Then a gaggle of rude teenagers behind us suddenly cut in line in front of us saying they were there for 10 minutes, even though we waited in line 15 minutes, so I just grabbed our stroller and wheeled the heck outta there ,past a huge line up formed outside . Not even close to worth it for that kind of experience. Would never go back , don't care enough to try their flavors with an ambiance like that.

Google
So this place and the prettiest ice cream. I mean look at that they added some jelly or squishy teeth candy. Next is location it's pretty and easy to access by car. Next is speed they are pretty fast on service and they are open late. Now flavors, unique flavors, very light in flavor. But great but as for people saying it tastes fake it depends what you order soft Ice cream is super fake that the same for all. But the flavor if unique. Sometimes hit and miss but definitely worth trying. And it's pretty. :)
