Best Restaurants in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin | Eater SF

"As the name indicates, seek out CA Noodle when you’re in the mood for hand-stretched noodles in all forms. The braised beef noodle soup is a favorite, but if you’re looking for noodles without the broth, the house special cold noodle will be a refreshing option while the weather is hot." - Dianne de Guzman

CA Noodle is a true gem for noodle lovers! Every bowl I’ve ordered has been packed with fresh, chewy noodles and topped with incredibly tender beef soup noodles, dumplings and three other side dishes. The portions are generous—enough to fill you up and still have leftovers to take home, which is such a pleasant surprise these days. The staff are friendly, service is quick, and the flavors are authentic and satisfying. If you’re craving a hearty Taiwan style food, CA Noodle never disappoints. Five stars for great food, excellent value, and consistently generous portions

I’ve been hearing rave reviews about this place for quite some time, and I finally had the chance to check it out after a few years. As a noodle enthusiast, I was immediately impressed by their unique noodle texture. They’re chewy and well-coated in the sauce, and they come in three different options: regular, middle, and flat, which is the widest. The only downside is that these noodles are incredibly long because they’re handmade, so it’s difficult to cut or split them. We tried the dry beef noodle and chili oil noodle, and both were delicious. The spicy sauce beef and tendon was also a great choice. One thing to keep in mind is that there’s plenty of parking spots, so you won’t have to worry about finding a spot.

Tried so many dishes here and loved every single one — from starters to noodles. My top picks: beef tendon and the tomato beef brisket noodles. And for families, the Ding Ding fried noodles are a kid favorite! Service is great too — shoutout to the super friendly Cantonese guy who always takes care of us. Weekend tip: get here early if you don’t want to wait in line. They’ve added new items recently like steamed dumplings, Xiaolongbao, stinky tofu, and lamb chops — definitely worth trying. This is my must-eat spot whenever I’m in the Pleasanton area.

Showed up on a Sunday around lunchtime with the intent to dine in, but unfortunately (for us), the place was completely packed! We wanted a seat for five, but the place was clearly designed for tables of two and four: so probably would’ve needed to wait a while before we were seated. We ended up ordering quite a few things: beef noodle soup, pork with dry noodle, lamb noodle soup, pig ears, Liang pi, and the rou jia mou. The food probably took about 30 minutes to cook (which felt quite long but likely was due to the dine-in situation being full). We took it home to eat (15 minute drive) and I’d say that the texture of the food (noodles, bread) were the highlights here - whereas the broth, flavors were just alright. The pig ears were also very good, but almost a little sweet with a good amount of chili oil. I will say, I appreciate the packaging here: always a plus when the noodles are separated from the broth and it doesn’t get soggy from the drive. Overall, the food was good enough for a fix, but not something I’d go out of my way to get.

Google
We ordered braised beef noodle soup, house special pork burger and the sliced pork with garlic sauce. We liked the noodle soup the best, the soup and the beef is so rich and tasty, and the noodle has the texture of hand pulled noodles. The pork burger is also yummy. The sliced pork with garlic sauce can use stronger garlic flavor though. Overall the food is a solid four star.

Came out to this hidden gem on a friday night. Was able to sit down right away but the place continued to be full the entire night while we ate. We bith ordered the spicy braised beef noodle soup. All i can say is wow. This had the right amoubt of spice. The flavor of this food was amazing. I had no idea this place even exosted until i seen it on tik tok. It is the best noodle place i have been to. The portions are plentyful. We also had the dunpling. I personally didnt like the taste but my wife enjoyed them. I will ve back to eat here again and soon. The staff was very polite and helpful. If you have not tried this do yourself a favor and go

Google
We absolutely love the food at this Chinese noodle shop! Everything has so much flavor! We regularly order the beef noodle soup, beef/egg and tomatoes noodle soup, and (love!) stinky tofu. The dry noodle dishes are also good. We usually do takeout bc the online menu is easy to use, and the restaurant area is small and tends to get packed (and the shared parking lot tends to fill up as well). Regarding (sit down) service, there's no physical folder menu. It's all done on the app.

Google
I recently visited CA Noodle, which left a big impression on me. The menu had a variety of traditional dishes, and I especially liked the seaweed salad with garlic. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with a slight garlicky touch. The hot soups were another highlight—rich, flavorful, and filling, perfect for warming up on a chilly day. The large portions are impressive. The dumplings were also delicious; they had a soft dough and were filled with savory ingredients. I recommend them to anyone who loves delicious Chinese cuisine!

Yelp
Easy parking, excellent food. It reminds me of OK Noodle that used to be in Newark. The menu and ordering is via QR code, but I personally don't mind. The noodles? Excellent. All excellent. Haven't found a dish I didn't like. Maybe it's a good thing I don't live too close otherwise I think I'd spend all my money here.

Yelp
Authentic food, house made noodles have great texture. The self-ordering system/service was efficient. Clean place with traditional Chinese decor

Yelp
One of the best spicy beef noodles soup I've tried in the bay area! The broth is savory, spicy, and packed with beefy flavor. The noodles were freshly made and cooked to perfect al dente. The beef brisket melts in your mouth. We also ordered the zhajiang mein and it was packed with flavor too. But the noodle was cold so I didn't like that. I think they rinse the noodles under cold water before serving so the entire dish was cold when you mix it. The restaurant is pretty small so be prepared to wait on the weekends.

Yelp
Came here twice in a week! If you like hand pulled noodles this is the place to go! Both times we ordered the big plate beef noodle. This plate is like its name suggests BIG. Definitely can share between 2-3 people or more if ordering dishes to share. Very flavorful. Noodles were nice thick wide chewy noodles. Good amount of meat. Spicy beef noodle soup - came out piping hot! Noodles were perfect. Soup was spicy and delicious. Lots of meat and noodles. Would get again maybe on a cooler day. Liang pi - nice and refreshing! Would get again on hot summer days. Lamb and fish sour soup - pleasantly surprised by how good this was. If you like lamb this you should try this one! It's very lamb-y. Soybean noodle - this one was OK. A bit salty. My first visit the service was pretty good. My second visit I had to go up a few times to request for utensils or sauces.

Yelp
Located in a small plaza, parking is fairly easy. Even though the space is small, there is plenty of seating. Service is pretty nonexistent. You order via QR code at your table then they bring the food out. Afterwards, you go to the counter to pay. We didn't get any water refills. Spicy braised beef noodle soup (medium wide noodles): 5/5 - although the amount of beef could have been more, the broth was very flavorful and the noodles were a great texture. I love that you can choose the regular skinny noodle, medium wide noodles, or large flat noodles. All their noodles are hand pulled which is hard to find in the inner east bay. Beef chow mein (regular noodles): 4/5 - I wish the cabbage was cooked a tad more and the beef was cut a little thicker but the flavor and the texture of the noodles were on point. Pork and shrimp dumplings: 3/5 - fair warning, it looks like these are made to order so expect a wait if you order dumplings. Unfortunately ours were not steamed long enough, you can tell by the color difference between the edges and the middle of the dumplings. Nonetheless, they were nicely filled and tasted great. I probably wouldn't get it next time though.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to try out CA Noodle today and they did not disappoint. Scan to order setup. We ordered Braised Noodle Soup, Spicy Oil Dry Noodle(dug into it too quickly before I could take a photo) and Steamed Pork Bun. Everything tastes so good and portions were bigger than expected. Braised Noodle Soup was light but flavoral and the regular noodle was nice and chewy texture. Would definitely order again on a much cooler day, it was 80° out today) Spicy Oil Dry Noodle was so flavorful, we got it with the medium wide hand pulled noodles, which were the perfect texture. It came with minced beef and an aromatic not too spicy chili oil. Steam pork buns came with a vinegar sauce. The meat filling was delicious, but the bun wrapping dulled the taste a little. All in all, would definitely come back and eat here again.

Yelp
QR ordering system. Napkins stocked at each table. Easy, convenient ordering and dining experience. The staff mainly speak Chinese so having a Mandarin-speaker with your party can be helpful. We ordered the baozi (but came in big dumpling form) and a lamb noodle soup. For appetizers, we got the pork ears and seaweed. Portions are on the bigger size for appetizers. Taste was great. Some things that were inconvenient was that the dumplings have shellfish (shrimp) which wasn't stated on the menu. The lamb pieces in the lamb soup were very tough. Overall, a casual dining experience. Would come back again next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Review update: I still love this place because the noodles are al dente everytime! I still wish their spicy braised beef didn't have so many fatty pieces in it, it's a lot of tendon and some other parts which I'm fine with, but I wish they would trim the fat on some of the pieces. It's a little deceiving when the dish is named spicy braised beef noodle, but no description that it isnt JUST beef. I eat almost everything, but I'm sure someone who is just trying this for the first time would be surprised lol. Another update: beef chow mein omg so good! Prob one of the best had in a while. Good wok flavors not too salty or sweet. Yum!!!!

Yelp
Great service and great food! I really like the bao sandwich "burger" thing. I got dry noodles and noodle soup, they were both good but I think the dry noodles were better. The employees are very nice! The place is nice and ordering is done online with a QR code which is cool!

Yelp
Gotten take out once from here and ate here once. For take out, I tried: the sweet and sour cucumber (3/5) : not as much flavor but hits the spot if you want wanted some sweet and sour cucumber Dry Lamb Noodle (3/5) I tried it with the large flat noodles. I want as much of a fan of the flavor and the lamb. When I ate here. I tried: The wood ear mushroom (3.5/5): I like that some of the wood ear pieces were bigger and there was a good garlic flavor. Beef chow mein (3.25/5): the sliced the beef thin, so the beef tasted pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the noodles, which were a bit more chewier like an udon. The flavor was okay. Pork Soup Dumplings (3.5/5): Not bad soup dumplings. Though the wrapping is a bit thicker than I preferred. What was nice though is that there was a lot of soup. Space: There is a few tables to sit and you can order from a QR code.

Yelp
Dang this place hits the spot! We placed our order and the guys picked it up. I tried the following: Braised beef noodle soup: 4/5 yummy! Sour spicy pork noodle soup: 5/5 yummmy! Wow amazing flavor. Pork burger: 4/5 great flavor too! Chow mein: kids liked it. Soooo good!

Yelp
This is our fav noodle spot in the trivalley. We've tried pretty much every noodle dish on the menu at this point. Our favs are the dry lamb noodle, the sour fish and lamb noodle, rib soup, and the beef noodle soup. The spicy soups are good too -- beware, they are actually spicy! My personal fav noodle is the regular cut, followed by thick then flat. You can choose your noodle, so try them all and see for yourself :)

Yelp
SOLID BEEF NOODLES! I feel like place would be so popular if it weren't tucked away in small plaza in Pleasanton. I recommend the braised beef noodle soup - always hot and fresh, a ton of flavor, lots of noodles, and tender beef. The best in the area! I've also tried their lamb noodle soup, which has a lighter but still rich broth. Feels like you can't go wrong with anything here! Definitely worth the visit!

Yelp
When my boyfriend and I went to CA Noodle, I was amazed by the interior design. The ambiance was completely different from the outside and I felt like I was transported to China, particularly with the traditional music playing. We ordered garlic sauced seaweed, braised beef noodle soup, and dan dan noodles. The seaweed was served cold and had a garlicky taste, which was perfect for the warm weather. The braised beef noodle soup was hearty and the beef was incredibly tender! I ordered it with the flat noodles, which I really enjoy. You can choose the type of noodle you want. The dan dan noodle was a bit spicy and had a peanut-like taste, which we both loved. We were surprised by the fast service since the noodles were cooked perfectly! I'll be sure to come back and try their other dishes!

Yelp
Ca Noodle opened in Cafe Taiwan's space. New murals decorize a familiar infrastructure. Was informed by cashier to order by QR codes though laminated menus were available at his station. Offerings: specials, appetizers, soups, noodle soups, dry noodles....mostly Northern Chinese stables...QR was doable, items lacked adequate descriptions. Beef Tripe with Garlic Sauce (10.90) -generous portion of fresh tasting tripe strips. The garlic taste wasn't an issue. The sudden sharp sting of hot chili was unsettling. Chili not listed. Saved it for later. -actually quite tasty, got a little heartburn later. Lamb Noodle Soup (15.90) -fresh tasting tender pieces of lamb was unexpected. Sweet broth made from meats, bok choy, green onions, & cilantro hints at hours of boiling... -noodles were thick like udon. Tasted like freshly made hand pulled noodles. Later saw via the portal where the food is passed thru a view of the chef & his amigo assistant making hand pulled noodles. Take outs: -doubtful repeat. Inadequate descriptions of eats. Fortunately, I researched menu earlier, had idea of what to order.

Yelp
In a quest for the right words, I must express my intrigue with their Braised Beef Noodle Soup. Despite my aversion to lamb and heightened sensitivity to its taste, the soup undeniably carried a distinct lamb flavor. However, upon consuming the beef itself, I was reassured that it was indeed beef, ruling out the possibility of receiving the wrong dish, such as the Lamb Noodle Soup. Despite the restaurant's denial, I am inclined to believe that they somehow blend lamb and beef soup, creating a unique fusion. For those unfazed by the lamb undertones, the beef noodle soup proves to be a tasty option, featuring high-quality broth and tender beef. The restaurant itself is modest, compact, and well-maintained. With a mobile ordering system in place, the service is minimal, but the food is promptly delivered.

Yelp
A nice noodle option in Pleasanton, delicious noodles with classic broths and toppings. Generous portions and rapid service. Ordering is done off a Electronic menu/ QR code. Unfortunately at the time of my visit they didn't have options to select different types of noodles in the electronic menu. I was hoping to try some different types of noodles with the different dishes. Inside QA noodle was cozy and busy, lots of patrons all enjoying delicious noodles. Parking lot was big and easy to find parking.

Yelp
One of the few noodle places in Dublin. Satisfies the craving if you're really craving some hand pulled noodles, but if you have time, it's more worth it to drive out to Fremont or Cupertino/San Jose. I didn't really enjoy the beef noodle soup, the broth was lacking flavor and just didn't taste too satisfying. The lamb noodles were a bit better, they had more vegetables and flavor to them. There still ended up being a lot of liquid at the end of the bowl, so they're a bit wetter than I'd prefer for dry noodles. Would prefer the sauce to be a bit thicker so it lathered the noodles, but it was more thin consistency like water. Service is fine, you order your food on your mobile device like many places nowadays. Glad Dublin has another noodle place, but I likely won't be back unless people I am with want to go here. Restaurant is clean and they have large enough tables to push together so you can hang out with your friends and enjoy the place.

Yelp
Solid choice for a variety of noodle dishes. Food comes out quickly and portion sizes are generous! Definitely a fan of their fungus salad, the dry lamb noodles, and the mixed mushroom spareribs noodle soup. I also sampled a bit of the sour mustard hot and spicy spareribs noodle soup, and it was tasty but SPICY! You have been warned. Second time around, tried their braised beef noodle soup, which seems to be their most popular option. I thought it was alright. The texture of the beef was a bit chewy and the broth was flavorful but had a very strong anise-like taste to it that was overpowering. Service doesn't really check in on you. You order via the QR code and then the person at the counter brings the food over. Had to go up to the counter to ask for additional bowls, takeout containers, and to pay. More of a fast casual vibe. Interior is spacious, clean, and well lit. Both times we came here, they had a Chinese TV channel playing in the background showcasing how certain ingredients are harvested and put together to make a dish. I found it very relaxing to watch. Definitely see myself coming back here if I'm craving some Chinese noodle dishes!

Yelp
Noodles made fresh daily! And the freshness was apparent in my dry noodle lamb dish. The wide-noodles (you get a few noodle-size choices) were luscious, piled high in a deep bowl and dressed with pieces of lamb. The bowl was basically a large soup bowl, without the broth. I could have gotten two meals from it and the price is a decent value. You get tea with your meal. The server did not speak much English. Our communication worked well enough, though. We ate inside. It really is quite spartan. Next time I'll order to go, which you can do when you get there because the wait for food is about 10 mins. You have to scan a QR code to see the menu and order. The UP-To-Date code is available inside. We tried using the QR codes in the window and they were old codes. This restaurant is tucked away behind McDonalds and does not have much curb appeal. It's a few doors away from a pretty good taqueria.

Yelp
Not sure if this is an OK Noodle dupe, but it's very similar! Came late on a weeknight and immediately got seated. Parking isn't too hard as it is in a pretty big plaza with a grocery store! We got the house special cold noodle which if you've been to other restaurants similar to this (ex QQ noodle, Lanzhou noodle, etc) it's their liangpi. It comes with wide/thick long noodles and pita. The pita here was really good! It has a nice spongey texture. This dish was lacking in flavor of the sauce. Although it came drenched in sauce, it was pretty bland. I probably wouldn't get this again. The braised beef noodle soup was yummy! If you ever tried OK Noodle before they closed in Fremont, you'll find the noodles are very similar! Very qq, bouncy and longgggg. It came with a lot of beef/beef tendon that was super tender! The broth also had a nice beefy flavor that's perfect for a chilly evening! If I am ever craving some beef noodle soup in Pleasanton, I'll definitely come back!

Yelp
Came to CA Noodle after a long day at the outlets and OMG, this is definitely going on the short list moving forward! The noodles were so chewy yet supple and I love that they are made in house! In terms of what we tried, the hands down winner was the tomato egg noodle which featured fresh tomatoes but also had this nice acidity that was so refreshing on a warm night. Our second favorite were the lamb noodles which featured chunky pieces of lamb that were melt in your mouth tender with just a little bit of gamey flavor. As for our other dishes - the marinated cucumbers also hit the spot. They were tangy and very refreshing! The beef noodle soup was very traditional but it was a little heavy given the weather. The pork burger was also pretty oily in my opinion and not very well spiced. I've had better. All in all, the food at CA noodle is delicious and you own it to yourself to try it! I'm also giving the experience 5-stars because the owner really went the extra mile to serve us. He cut the hamburger on delivery, provided us extra bowls without asking, and even took on extra tables after "closing time". He was also very kind and fun to talk to.

Yelp
Definitely come for the braised beef noodle soup - CA Noodle has probably become the best place I've visited in the Tri-Valley area for this dish. They're a newer restaurant located next to the McDonald's right on Stanley. We didn't realize how popular this place was, and luckily grabbed the last table on a busy weekend lunch. The space itself is rather small yet homey, the decor is cute and each table has it's own set of utensils that you grab on your own. The service is minimal, as you order using the QR code on your table. We got 2 dishes to try out: + Braised Beef Noodle Soup (4.5/5): The handmade noodles were bouncy and chewy! The beef was flavorful and tender, and the soup was hefty and rich. It was a tad bit salty however. + Chili Oil Noodles (4/5): The handmade noodles here were also great! I'd probably give it a 6/10 on the spice level - it definitely could've used more heat. The pork in this dish was meh to me, but was still delicious overall. The dan dan noodles are on my next to try list for when I come back!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night with the boo. Your order from a QR system, and multiple people can order from the same tab on different phones. The house cold noddles were decent. The mala was on point. I wished the noodles were more QQ as they were softer than I'd expected. The wood ear salad was a hit. The sweet and sour coolness helped to calm down the spice during the meal. The braised beef noodle soup was very flavorful. Definitely my favorite dish here. The dry noodle with spicy oil was good too, but I'm more of a soupy girl. Also the meat chunks a more firm, kind of like spicy beef jerky if you like that kind of stuff. All in all loved the food. Will definitely be back to try their others noods!
google avatar

Yelp
Authentic Chinese noodle soup! So when the menu says spicy, it will be SPICY. Chili oil noodle with pork - sooo good but also very spicy. I like the texture of the hand pulled noodle. It is right amount of sauce, so each bite of the noodle is covered by the sauce. My bf thinks the vinegar flavor is a little bit overpowering but I like it. Lamb noodle soup - probably the best lamb noodle soup I had in Bay Area. The soup is very flavorful without being too salty. The lamb is very tender and good portions. We will definitely go back to try their other dishes.

Yelp
Nice handmade noodles (you can tell from some ends being thicker or a little smooshed); good chewy texture, very long strands. We enjoyed everything we ordered, tasty braised beef noodle soup, house special cold noodle (liang pi), and beef chow mein. Definitely try to eat everything you order here, as taking it home for the second meal is not as pleasant (noodles won't be chewy, they'll be a bit soggy and very soft overall). The beef noodle soup was savory and delicious. Good flavor, the beef was tender and great with the noodles. Kind of wish there were a few more bits of bok choy! I look forward to trying the spicy version next time. The house special cold noodle was perfect, the sauce was tangy and spicy. (Maybe can be even more vinegar-y). Nice thickness of the noodle, it soaked up a lovely amount of sauce. Mmm delicious. The only thing is that I wish there were more bits of topping (the wheat gluten). The beef chow mein was very flavorful and fragrant! Very yummy. Nicely done. The veggies were crisp and the noodles were so chewy. The beef was not the most tender, but the flavor was there. The interior of the restaurant is well thought out and comfortable. Cute decorations. Very Xi'an. Easy to order on your phone.

Yelp
I recommend the Braised Beef Noodle Soup. It's hot and fresh, very tasty and the beef is tender. I tried a few bites of the spicy one and it's way too much hot oil for me so I prefer the regular braised one. The cucumber appetizer was good but nothing special.

Yelp
Nice casual spot for good noodles in Pleasanton! What we ordered: - Beef noodle soup (4/5): pretty decent flavor, with chewy noodles - Spicy beef noodle soup (4/5): had more flavor than the regular one - Sour spicy pork dry noodle (5/5): really good flavor, chewy noodles - Lamb burger (4/5): great flavor, not too gamey, buns were soft Parking: EZPZ strip mall parking. Plenty of spaces All the noodles were chewy, food was flavorful, and it was decent for the area that we were in and I would definitely go back!

Yelp
FOOD: super chewy, al dente hand pulled noodles. The soy bean paste noodle was good but definitely tasted different from other soy bean paste noodle dishes that I've had numerous times. I dont know what unique ingredient they use. The beef noodle was delicious. There is a very slight hint of a kick at the end. I have no tolerance to spicy food and I was able to handle it. It was a very, very faint numbing type of flavor. Again, I don't know what unique ingredient they use. Meat was super tender. Noodles held up it's chewiness despite being soaked in water. We ordered the regular sized noodles for the perfect bite. Pro-tip: ask for scissors A pleasantly surprised delicious noodle house in Pleasanton. I would go again if I'm in the area.

Yelp
I've been kind of obsessed with Northern Chinese cuisine, so naturally when I found out that they had opened a Northern Chinese noodle shop in Pleasanton, I immediately knew I had to try it. The inside of the restaurant was really nice. It was pretty obvious that this place was recently recently opened and remodeled as the panels on the walls looked really nice, and the tables and the chairs looked new. Here you were encouraged to use your phone to order. At each table, they provided a QR code (specific to your table) which you can scan with your phone to place your order. However, the staff also informed us that if customers didn't feel comfortable doing that, they would be happy to accommodate them by giving them a paper menu instead. Below are my reviews of the food: Braised beef noodle soup - this bowl of noodles was super comforting. It reminded me a lot of Taiwanese style braised beef noodle soup. The broth was rice and super savory, and the beef pieces were so tender. I also liked how the noodles were thick and not soggy. The noodles reminded me more of udon style noodles then Chinese style noodles though. I will try their hot and spicy version of this noodle soup next time. Price was about $16 as of February 2023. Big plate beef with flat noodles - first of all, the flavor of this dish was fantastic. The sauce was savory, slightly sweet, slightly spicy, with a little brightness/tang from the tomato that they used in their sauce. The pieces of beef in this dish were pretty much the same pieces of beef in the braised beef noodle soup. While the sauce was delicious and the beef was tender, I thought the noodles were too thick and thus tough. I could see that some noodles were clumped/stuck together, making them really super tough and hard to chew. I felt like if they had done a better job at separating the noodles, this dish could've been so much better. Price was about $22 as of February 2023. Sliced pork with garlic sauce - OK, this appetizer really blew my mind. The sauce was super fantastic. It was super savory, sweet, slightly spicy. You have to mix the pork with the sauce well before you eat it, but once you do that, the sauce coats the thinly sliced pork belly really well. And they served this on a bed of julienne-cut cucumbers to add a little bit of freshness and brightness. Price was about $10 as of February 2023.

Yelp
MENU AND FOOD: CA Noodle offers a variety of hand pulled noodles and noodle soups and appetizers. SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Service was quick and efficient. Customers order by QR code. They have indoor seating only. Their indoor decor is appropriate and appealing. PARKING: Located in a plaza, they have parking available. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: We had their tomato beef noodle soup and their spicy oil dry noodle, both of which were very tasty! Their noodles hold flavor and have a nice bouncy texture. We were quite impressed with our experience and will definitely be back.

Yelp
AMAZING. I've been looking for a good hand pulled noodle place in the area and I've finally found it. I ordered Chong Qing Beef Noodle Soup dry style and Sweet and Sour Cucumber. The cucumber was very good and fresh. The noodles were fantastic!!!! Perfect texture and delicious sauce. Good amount of beef as well. I am already planning my next order, i will be trying the chili oil noodles with pork.

Yelp
This is a newly opened Noodle Shop featuring Northern China cuisine. It's located on Stanley Blvd. between Pleasanton and Livermore. The mailing address is Pleasanton. They have been open more than a month but they have been doing a 'soft opening' that just turned into their Grand Opening this week. This is a very small place and the setup is different from most casual eateries. Every table has a large, prominent QR Code displayed that will take you to their Square Point of Sale app for order entry for both take out and dine in when you use your Smartphone Camera. In theory, it should work flawlessly. But it doesn't. The whole ordering app is weird and unreliable. I had hoped that by waiting a bit before visiting, they would have all the kinks and problems worked out. This ordering app is a prime example. In theory, you complete the ordering process and designate that it is Dine-In or Take Out and your order is digitally delivered directly to the kitchen. They will put the order up and the lone dining room staff person delivers it to the customer's table for dine-in or to the waiting customer for take out.. On this visit, the dining room fellow saw us struggling with the app. He brought us printed paper menus and that helped us complete submitting our order. About 5 minutes later, we received our food items. It was all very hot and tasty for most of it. The food ratings are: Tomato Beef Stew Noodle ($15.50) 4-star Mixed Mushroom Spareribs Noodle Soup ($15.50) 4-star Harbin Red Sausage ($8.79) 2-star Sweet & Sour Cucumber Salad ($8.99) 3.5 star 1 Teapot of House Tea (no charge) 2-star (not hot) The appetizers were interesting - The cucumber salad was fairly bland but it was fresh and crispy. The Red Harbin Sausage was a disappointment - I'm not sure what authentic Harbin Sausage is supposed to taste like but I seriously doubt it's what they served us. I thought it was a lot like Hillshire Farms Smoked Rope Sausage found in just about any typical supermarket. It was served sliced and cold with a little sweet & sour sauce. My Tomato Beef Stew Noodles was excellent! I highly recommend it. My wife had the Mushroom Spareribs Noodle Soup. She had similar praise for her main course! The big, fat noodles had the feel of handmade. They were just right - a bit chewy - think of it as Asian al dente. This reliance on digital technology for the customer to view the menu, order their meal and produce the bill sounds good (supposed to be no waiting, quick, easy and efficient) but in reality, it doesn't work well. I counted 3 people in the kitchen and just one staff person out in the dining room. Using their digital, wireless system, I believe it's possible to do all without ever having to talk to anyone at the establishment. The single staff person out front delivers the food and refills your beverage but I can see that the staff person could be non-English speaking (or unfamiliar with the local language). We'll give this place a little more time and we will try it, again, Jim

Yelp
In the plaza with McDonald. Lots of parking. I can't believe I didn't notice this restaurant as it's across the street from orange theory. Order: Cucumber salad (delicious! Crunchy, garlicky taste) Chicken chow mein (saw so many people order this but beef, so had to get. So glad I did! The noodles are bouncy and chewy and soaks up all the flavor! Delicious!) Beef noodle soup (beef is tender and the noodles at nice and chewy not soggy. The soup has the perfect beef soup and has a bit is spice) Note they have chili on the side and I love adding it for a spice. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Wow this place is so amazing! I ordered Tan Tan noodle and lamb noodle soup. The soup was really good and it didn't make me feel thirsty after. For the dry noodle, the noodle was so Al dente! The ambiance is family friendly and I like the terracotta dolls like in Xi-an city!

Yelp
I'm giving this five stars because the food is honestly so good! This is not a fancy restaurant. It's a casual stop in. That being said, I can't recommend it more highly for what it is. Everything is so fresh and incredibly flavorful. House made noodles, friendly service, need I say more?

Yelp
Braised Beef Noodle Soup - $19.30 One of my favorite places in Pleasanton. Noodles have a great chew and the broth is super rich. The spicy version is a bit too much for me but I don't mind just getting the normal one since it's still so flavorful. My gf usually gets the Spicy Chili Oil Noodles and I think it's really good too but I don't think it's as good as OK Noodle in Milpitas, the one here tastes very strongly of salt to me. Service is nice and fast, interior is nothing special.

Yelp
I came for weekday lunch. It wasn't crowded at lunch hour. The noodle was udon thickness and on the chewy side. The beef was pretty good. You can tell it's been cooked for a long time. Maybe too long as it was more dry while chewing and needed a longer chew than I like. Veggie was bok choy and that's fresh and perfect Broth was a bit more oily than I like for beef noodle soup. It had a hint of spicy pepper. Every region of beef noodle soup is a bit different. The place is nicely remodeled. The service was good. Go give them a try.

Yelp
Pretty average order through app noodle shop. Use your phone to scan the app and you can place an order without needing to talk to anyone! I had pretty high hopes for this place but it wasnt very good :( For some reason the soup had a very strong flavour of peppercorn, almost to the unenjoyable level. I think it wouldve been an average, if not great bowl if it werent for that flavour.

Yelp
With the recent bouts of stormy weather pummeling the Bay Area, one can't help but crave a steaming bowl of noodle soup. And, from what I've gathered from my recent visit to CA Noodle, this place is nothing short of perfect for satisfying this craving. The ordering process was fairly simple -- scan the barcode, choose your desired items using their website, and wait a short duration until your food arrives. Though the wait time was short, the tantalizing smells emanating from the kitchen made every minute unbearable. I ordered the braised beef noodle soup which was simply divine. The fatty broth was rich but not too heavy, and it had a dark caramel hue, an indication of the immense amount of flavor packed into this soup. The dish was also inundated with tender pieces of flavorful braised beef. Everything from the meat to the bouncy, scraggly (and clearly hand-pulled) noodles was perfect. Truly, one of the best noodle soups I've ever had!

Yelp
Soooo good! If you love thick and chewy noodles with bold flavors, this is the spot for you. I actually didn't expect myself to like this place as much as I did, and it was such a pleasant surprise! We came for lunch and it wasn't too crowded, though the inside is quite small. You order through a QR code and then they deliver the food to you when it's ready. I decided to get the spicy fish noodle soup, while my friends got the braised beef noodle soup. The food came out super fast, like within 10 minutes. The portions were also super generous! My fish noodle soup was the perfect level of spice, and also had a mala (numbing) flavor which I really enjoyed. The fish was tender, soup was flavorful, and it all tasted really fresh. I also got to try some of my friend's beef noodle soup which was also so delicious, maybe even better than the fish. The broth was so flavorful I just kept wanting to drink it. I will say though, the thing that makes this place stand out the most is the noodles. I believe they are hand pulled/homemade, so they're not your typical wheat or flour noodle. Rather, they're a lot thicker (around the size of udon noodles) and super chewy. I'm a huge fan of biang biang noodles and these have a similar texture but just with the round shape. The noodles soaked up the broth super well, had a nice bounce, and really made the dish spectacular for me. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu! This area is actually quite unfamiliar to me so I'm super glad that I tried it out. I would say this has to be one of my top noodle spots around here, so I highly recommend coming to try it out!

Yelp
Came here on Friday and there was no wait. There is a small parking lot, so parking wasn't too bad. We ordered a bunch of items to try. We had beef jerky, oiled pork with garlic sauce, spicy sauce beef and beef tendon, sweet and sour cucumber, hot and spicy beef noodle soup, dan dan noodles, tomato egg noodle, and cumin lamb. NOTE: they don't serve rice here! Beef jerky: 2.5/5 - I thought this dish would be more of a "dry" beef dish, but it came a saucy and it wasn't very spicy. The pieces of beef was a little thick as well. Oiled pork with garlic sauce: 4/5 - thinly sliced pork with this amazing garlic sauce. It was very good. The pork had a little tendon, so was a little chewy on certain parts, which was great. I can't even really describe the garlic sauce other than it was good. They didn't put enough sauce, so we asked for a little bit more. Spicy sauce beef and beef tendon: 1/5 - the meat was shredded. This is usually sliced beef and tendon. It was a pile of little bitty pieces of meat and tendon. The sauce was not spicy or numbing either. Do not order this! Sweet and sour cucumber: 4/5 - refreshing and crispy. Good palette cleanser between dishes. Hot and Spicy beef noodle soup: 3/5/5 - this was pretty good. The noodle that it came in with almost like udon texture/thickness. These are handpulled noodles and you can taste the bounciness of the noodle. Only thing is that it wasn't very spicy and not enough beef pieces. The pieces that are there are pretty fatty. Dan dan noodles: 2/5 - this noodle usually has ground meat, but this one was just noodles, cucumber, and a peanut sauce. The peanut sauce was way too thick, so it wasn't very good. Tomato egg noodle: 4/5 - very good flavor and we swapped out the noodle for the wide noodle and it was very good. The sauce had the right tartness and sweetness to it and it wasn't too thick or too watery. Would definitely order this again. Lamb cumin: 4/5 - pretty good flavor with the cumin and it wasn't too gamey or numbing or spicy. There were some hits and misses. Would come back if in the area.

Yelp
Perfect Chinese hand pull noodles with deep and delicious flavors. Round noodles and flat noodles were both Al dente and the veggie soup base was rich and flavorful yet light and healthy. In a group of 7 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Serving sizes are extremely large and one of the best experiences I can remember in a noodle shop. We spent $110 for 7 dishes which seems very reasonable.

Yelp
It was bitter sweet when Cafe Taiwan's owners retired, however I glad to see that CA Noodle took over the space. The new restaurant upgraded the interior and created a line up of Chinese noodle dishes that features beef noodle soup. My order was for take out. Braised beef noodle soup 4 stars lots of 5 spice, noodles were thick and thin. Skimpy on the beef $15.50 Sour mustard hot and spicy sparerib noodle soup 4 stars broth was good. Again lots of noodles very little protein. $15.50 Garlic sauce beef 4 stars boiled thin sliced beef $10.99 Spicy sauce beef & Tendon 4 stars good flavor small portions for the price $10.99 The flavors are good. I would have liked a thinner less doughy noodle option.

Yelp
The noodles looked really good on Yelp so I've had this place bookmarked for a while. WAIT: We came on a Saturday around 11:15am and got seated right away. There was only one other table when we came in and it seemed like mostly to go orders. ORDERING: You order through a QR code that is linked to your table so you can place your order then pay later. The server was very helpful in answering our questions and being patient. FOOD: We have a toddler and there was enough noodles for him to enjoy and a highchair so no complaints there. BRAISED BEEF NOODLE SOUP - the server said it wasn't spicy and although for most people I would agree it did have the slightest bit of spice to it. My toddler didn't notice but he also didn't drink the soup so that's probably where most of the spice is. The default noodles are these thin noodles but they were really good. They were chewy, springy and fresh/soft. Probably some of the best noodles I've had in a long time and surprising for Pleasanton. I can't speak to the soup or beef since I didn't eat that part. LAMB NOODLE - the photo in the menu didn't look like the dish when it came out but I didn't mind. It wasn't spicy but it does have that mala flavor so if you don't like that you might want to avoid this. It comes with thinly sliced pieces of lamb, tender and tasty. It also has cabbage slices. I subbed the flatter noodles than the thin noodles (you can't make the change when ordering so I had to have the server put in the note after I ordered). The flatter noodles are good as well but maybe a little less chewy/springy than the thin noodles. My son actually ended up liking this one better. I think if I had to choose again, I would go for the thin noodles. It probably comes down to preference. DAN DAN NOOLDE - my mother in law ordered this, it's actually vegetarian and does have a slight peanut/sesame taste but not like more traditional dan dan noodles. It was a more orange-y color. The noodles were even chewier/fresh than the soup noodles, which makes sense since they aren't in hot soup. Overall, definitely will be back to get noodles and try different ones. If you like fresh/chewy noodles then you should definitely try this place out!

Yelp
3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars. This took up the old space of the Taiwanese restaurant. They renovated the place and it now looks modern. Ordering was through QR code. We came for Sunday lunch and the place was pretty busy especially with take-out orders. By the time we left, the place was packed. Spicy Sauce Beef and Beef Tendon: The favors were good but the pieces were pretty chopped up and small. I think the mouth feel would have been better if the pieces weren't so small. Big Plate Chicken with Noodles: The portion was huge. The noodles had very nice chewy texture. The sauce was tangy and sweet. Very appetizing. House Special Cold Noodles: The texture of the noodles were very good. However, there wasn't a lot of ingredients and it's a bit on the plain side. I was pretty happy with the food. Seems like they have some specialty Xian dishes which isn't common in the area. Their soup noodles looked very good so I'll be trying those next time.

Yelp
What a great hidden spot in Pleasanton. I came her for dinner since my gf loves spicy beef noodle soup and it's hard to find a good spot, especially in the Tri-Valley. We've had some disappointing versions in Dublin/Livermore by the outlets but this place was fantastic. On a Sunday night around 7pm we were one of only two tables but by the end of the meal most of the tables were filled. The table next to us had apparently also been there for lunch only to come back for dinner. That's a great sign of a delicious restaurant. We both ordered the Hot and Spicy Beef noodle soup and soon realized we probably could've shared one bowl. Really flavorful with a great spicy level of mala that you would want here. Massive bowl with plenty of beef and noodles. For good measure we also had the potato salad, cold cucumbers, and pork burger. They were all great, the biggest surprise was how juicy and succulent the pork burger was. Definitely on the heavier side and maybe a tad greasy but wow what a flavor packed bomb. It's almost like a really good Chinese porchetta inside a pan fried bun. My gf's mom absolutely loved it and wanted to order more, luckily I think we will be back. Cold cucumbers were a little smaller cut than I would've liked but still fresh and lots of garlic, not much to complain about. Potato salad was the right consistency, and decent flavor. Really the spicy beef noodle soup is the winner here, hope to try more items soon but it'll be hard to not order that every time. The ordering system is a bit peculiar - order via app then go up to pay after eating but it can be efficient. Definitely worth a visit if you have a craving. Plenty of noodle spots in the Tri-valley but this is tops.

Yelp
5 stars for the Beef Noodle Soup!! My son loves beef noodle soup and we both loved our dinner!! This new Chinese Noodle Restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. We were welcomed in directed to order online. We both had the beef noodle soup with my son ordering the hot and spicy version. We shared the veggies which were bok choy. I made the mistake of ordering extra noodles which came on the side. We took them home. The beef noodle soup is outstanding! The beef is tender and I love the few tendony pieces. The soup is flavorful and I can taste all the Chinese spices. The NOODLES are the best-hand pulled, the perfect thickness and chewy. So good!! We both finished it all. We'll definitely be back!!

Yelp
I don't spend much time in the area but post-hike wanted to try something new. Just got one thing to go. There's a few tables inside of you want to eat in. Seemed tight and a little stuffy, but not crowded on a Sunday afternoon. Chili oil noodles with pork came out fairly quick, good amount of everything. Chili oil was medium spicy. Noodles were nice and chewy. QQ Noodle is closer to me and granted I haven't been back in a while but this seemed better than my last QQ visit. If I was in the area, I'd go back, maybe try something else.
