Extremely popular restaurant in São Luis -- we came around 2.30pm for a late lunch on a Wednesday and the restaurant was 2/3 full, and it's a big restaurant! We enjoyed all the dishes; only reason we didn't give the extra star was that service was pretty slow and it was a bit pricey. An English menu is available but not really spoken.
We were only two people and ordered the sun dried suckling pork for 2, and the house special shrimp cauldron for 2. The suckling pork was delicious , with the pork flavor enhanced by the drying. The shrimp stew was good but a bit mild for our taste, but we still enjoyed it.
With two waters, a beer, and a caipri, we ended up spending RS $466. One could say we ordered enough for 4 but honestly we finished most of our meal, so it was closer to being enough for 2.5 hungry people. That said we wouldn't hesitate to come back and recommend this spot if you're in São Luis!
