We visited this sugar shack on the 2nd of April 2023, it was pretty packed, but the service and food were really good.
It was my first time at a sugar shack, the servers were really nice and friendly while they attended every table with groups of 20-25 people, they also went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable.
The food was really good, it was a very interesting culturally rich experience, as this is a very Québécois thing to do.
The food consisted of fried eggs, baked beans in lard, deep fried salted pork rinds, sausages fried in maple syrup, pea soup (my personal favorite), baked ham, fried crepes, sugar pie and most importantly the maple taffy.
I’d absolutely recommend everyone to try this place as it was very interesting to learn about the Québécois culture and to try Québécois food while being surrounded by wilderness and wildlife.
