Cabarrus Brewing is one of my favorite hangout spots in the Concord area. The place is spacious, making it perfect for gatherings with friends or family. They often host movie nights, which adds a fun and relaxed vibe to the experience. You self-order and pick up your food, then find a spot — super casual and easygoing. They have a wide selection of beers, and I personally loved the Baller Beer. The food is delicious — way better than you’d expect at a typical brewery. I’ve been here multiple times, and it never disappoints. Conveniently located right next to Gibson Mill, this is a must-visit if you’re looking for a laid-back, friendly atmosphere in Concord. Highly recommend for anyone looking to chill with good drinks, food, and company.

Google
Huge open and airy brewery with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of great events throughout the year. Definitely worth checking out. Walking distance to another brewery and restaurants and shops.

Google
We really enjoyed this place. They have a great Hazy IPA. Nice location with brewing equipment visible. Cheese curds were good. Service was great nice location I would definitely recommend this place.

Google
Service was great. Everyone was friendly and the food was good too. I just felt skeevy eating there bc of how dirty everything was. The front doors, bathroom doors and the couches. I just hope the employees wash their hands.

Google
Great venue, friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Delicious beer and great food!

Google
Man, have tried so many times and always defend the kitchen but I’m done. My wife doesn’t drink, so the food has to be decent, no, just get it right. Convinced her to let us take our daughter home from school for the St Patty’s Day event. Kitchen didn’t even know our 3 corned beef’s were supposed to have potatoes (according to the menu), so we paid $81 for a pretzel, 3 tiny corned beef and cabbage dishes, 2 drinks and a Diet Coke, which turned out to be a Coke Zero. I wish I could keep supporting, but I’m done.

Google
I absolutely love coming here to get a delicious burger and washing it down with a seasonal beer. They do such a great job keeping everything clean, professional, and top notch. The seasonal things they do here are especially fun and we look forward to coming here regularly. This is one of the locations we use to show off Concord to visitors from out of town.

Google
What an amazing place! Missed it the first time around but great food and beer! Super friendly staff!

Yelp
Hidden back behind gibson mill this unassuming brewery offers many well done draughts. I tried my wife's sour drop, which was in fact sour. Very lemony ..Maybe too sour for me. The food was pretty good, just your average brewery fare. Burgers and sandwiches etc. The bang shrimp wrap I got was really good but I'll probably just get the appetizer version next time. I found myself picking the shrimp out and eating them by themselves because they were so good. Fries served with the sandwiches were interesting, like a combination between chips and fries. Really crispy with lots of surface area to dip into ranch but still had that fluffy potato interior.

Yelp
Cabarrus Brewing is a massive brewery located inside a renovated mill building. It looks very rustic from the outside but inside it is beautifully decorated while still maintain the old industrial aesthetic. They have a large kitchen and walking in I immediately smelled barbecue, it smelled amazing! I will need to return to try it, but we were there for drinks. They have a lot of outdoor seating as well so we took a seat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. In addition to beers they serve cocktails, including slushee mixed drinks that are colorful and tasty. They are also conveniently located next to the Gibson Mill so if the menu doesn't entice you it is a short walk to the market where there are plenty of options available. This is a cool neighborhood spot and if you live in the Concord area or find yourself passing through, no doubt you should stop in for a visit.

Yelp
I really like the space. Tall ceilings, windows so you can see the brew room, large televisions for football. Employees were super friendly, unfortunately that's where all the good stuff ends. I sampled two beers that were just nasty. I finally just settled one that I'd had before. Is it possible that a canned version is better than a draft because I remember this being better. On to the food. My wings were awful. Dry and flavorless. The wife's black bean burger was mushy. Maybe they were just having an off night? Idk but we'll not be back to see.

Yelp
I was with a vendor for the Holiday Market at Cabarrus Brewing. We were set up in the beer garden. Lane served me from their spot outside. They just knew what to offer for my taste. Lane would definitely be my favorite if I was a regular.

Yelp
As someone who doesn't drink it feels funny writing a review for a brewery. I really like the space and that they had some Na options. I got the hop water while we were there. They have food and it's near other things as well!

Yelp
I was looking forward to hanging out at Cabarrus Brewery tonight. Cabarrus Brewery located at Gibson Mills is a great brewery in Concord. When we got there at 6 PM they had stopped serving food. That was surprising and disappointing. The bar was open for another few hours. It was quiet for a Sunday evening. I will know for the next time and plan better. We would have stayed for a beer but we were really hungry. Next time because this place is always great.

Yelp
Traveled into Concord to try some new spots and discovered Cabarrus Brewing.. let's just say we were not disappointed! The space was inside a renovated mill surrounded by other shops and food spots. We grabbed a beer and sat outside on their picnic tables. I grabbed the cherry lemon sour drop which definitely packed a punch! We had a buzzer for our food order which was ready for us to pick up inside at the counter in no time. I got the crispy chicken wrap which included lettuce, onion, pickle, tomato, and cheese with some of the tastiest homemade fries. The brewery was very much a help-yourself, laidback vibe which was perfect for a casual dinner. Plus there was plenty of free parking behind the building. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We really enjoyed the food. Very good. I had the sundrop slushy which was delicious but 10.50 for a very small glass was over the top for me. Would return for the food but not an overpriced drink

Yelp
This feels like a warehouse. There was no ambience the tables were way too far apart and the live music, well all we could guess is maybe she's the sister of the owner. It was like 8 o'clock on a Friday night and her music was so downbeat and wistful like singer songwriter women who were sad... Confused with this place has to offer that's gonna bring a crowd at this point...

Christopher W.

Yelp
Nice large open space inside and there's outside patio seating also. The wings here are up there with the best. Also a nice view of the huge brewing vats behind glass along one of the walls. Order your drink and food at the register, grab a table... and they give you a beeper to let you know your food is ready. Lots to do outside also. Great for kids and parents and dates, all of that.

Yelp
LOVED visiting this brewery while in town! We were there for the Bark and Brew event and it was a full house of humans and doggies alike. The brewery itself is huge! There are big long tables in the middle and high top tables around the outside of the room, theres also an upstairs area that I didnt get to see but my sister said there are lots of fun events held up there. For my visit, beers were named by people who made donations. I drank an All Ears Waylon with pride and walked my boy around a little before settling him in onto a stool to get a good view of the place! There is a pretty nice menu available here as well as all the beers. They have a really large beer garden outside, and tons of parking. I also purchased a growler of beer to go and that was a great experience as well!

Yelp
This place is a underused asset in Cabarrus County. We came here for a 21st birthday party. We stayed for two and a half hours and treated kindness the entire time. We called ahead and they assured us that it was okay to bring a birthday cake with us. The area is huge. They offer inside and outside seating. They have a private upstairs area for special events. The brewery area is open to view. The bar serves all of their creations. The place is dog friendly. They even put out water bowls and keep them filled. Everything about this place is clean and friendly.

Yelp
Friendly staff, good beer and brisket nachos are so good . Enough for one person :) We will be back .

Yelp
We were lucky enough to try this place out on a Summer Friday while they had the Collection in attendance. We got some food from the food trucks, but we also sampled the brussel sprouts from the cabarrus kitchen. They were good. A lot of bacon if you're into that. The beer was great depending on what you're into. I like about everything. I tried a couple of their sours, but what we really liked was the ability to make Shandys with their homemade lemonade on tap. Even on a crazy busy night, it didn't seem too crowded. Also, the wait times for service were not bad at all. Would definitely go again.

Lauren M.

Yelp
Very cute brewery with frequent live music and small bites to eat. Workers are all nice and it is well maintained.
google avatar

Tracey B.

Yelp
There's a great atmosphere and the bar tenders were friendly. We enjoyed several flights of beer so that we could try everything. Our favorite was the hazy IPA. We shared a Pig in a Blanket wrap and fries, and it was delicious.

Yelp
Still 5 stars, but no more dogs inside, because the government or something!!! I think it's because they cook food inside now, but still dog friendly outside.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Stopped in for just one beer and was thankful it was just one. Doors were open on a 35 degree day and it was freezing inside. There was a baby shower upstairs and constant streams of baby carriages and toddlers everywhere. Ordered a beer and they were out, ordered another and that tap kicked also. Some guy came out of the back angry as can be about the taps, barking orders and it was uncomfortable to watch. The beers were truly nothing special, probably won't be back as all around it was very average.

Yelp
Had our 20 year High School reunion here. Had a really good time here, and enjoyed the Sour Beer (not sure what it was called). Overall great place to enjoy life. Also, great to see what has become of the old Fieldcrest Cannon Mill.

Yelp
Food is good, beer is great, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Their Jim Dandy stout is the best stout I have ever had and the Little Blue Golf Cart IPA is the only IPA I have ever enjoyed drinking.
google avatar

Brittanie H.

Yelp
I came here for the first time for my best friend's baby shower. I know what you're thinking and yes, she's the best wife EVER for this because even though she couldn't drink she still wanted everyone else to be able to toast to the baby's impending arrival at a local brewhouse. Their event space is great and is a room off of the main brewery floor that is still open and accessible to the bar. The space is easily customizable and has a beautiful open, rustic barn aesthetic. The staff was great the whole time we were there. Very attentive without being overwhelming. The bar was located in close enough proximity that I was able to go over a few times to try and buy brews. The bartenders were great. They were all very attentive and knowledgeable. They asked me about my beer preferences and let me try a few each time until I arrived at something I wanted by the pint. I ended up having a couple of the seasonal brews but I really enjoyed the Vanilla Coffee Blond and the Sew Juicy. I was super SURPRISED to like the Sew Juicy so much because I am NOT an IPA kinda gal but it was delicious. They have food as well which I didn't have a chance to sample (because baby shower food) but everything I saw people eating looked amazing! I would definitely recommend making a trip outside of the city to sample their brews and grab a bite.

Yelp
Premium Craft brew in a plastic cup. Are we in high school? Stories above ground level? Close to the beach? No, no, and no. I will NEVER visit again for beer in a plastic cup.
google avatar

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Best atmosphere in Concord. Close to downtown concord. If they loved this historic building to downtown it be perfect. Food is good but again expensive for finger food, Quality is good Beer is some of he lost diverse. Limited menus during Covid 19 Service is excellent Prices are reasonable And on the more fair side. They offer size options as well. Crowd is mixed ages. Definitely cool.

Yelp
I already knew that the Vanilla Coffee Blonde (VCB)was an exceptional beer as my cousins live in NC & I tried it last year when I visited locally. This time I got to actually visit the brewery&what a cool hang out spot it is. Our friends brought their dog who was able to sit INSIDE with her, not just limited to the patio area(brownie points)!!! I did a flight and tried the Cotton Blonde which was nice, a watermelon beer which was refreshing, but I will say that my VCB has competition. The shandy is SOOOOO good, a great all summer drink. The stout is a for sure show stopper as well, very smooth. Bravo This place is a MUST when visiting, and of course taking beer back to NY!!

Yelp
Great place to hang out have some good beer and food, Friday is "food truck fridays" check their website for which trucks will be there, they also have live music some nights. My suggestion is get there before 6pm so you can get good seats when live music is there. Great selection of beers and awesome atmosphere. Definitely a must. Website: http://www.cabarrusbrewing.com/tag/food-truck-friday/ There is the website if curious.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
Always a nice time here. Many drink options includ9ng rotating guest taps which is great for me because I love ciders. Their lemon shandy is my absolute favorite it is soooo refreshing in the hot weather!!! They always have some type of food trucks and entertainment!!

Yelp
Definitely a great brewery with a depth of selection. I've been here several times and it's never disappointed. There's plenty of seating both inside and outdoors. I usually come on the weekends and on Friday there are many food trucks, and a few of them on Saturday. High branch brewing is right here as well, just across the lot, so if you don't find something here you like, definitely give them a shot. Pets are also welcome here, which is nice since I'm a dog lover, people also bring their children, which I'm not a fan of. There is also live music outside on the weekends, just check their Facebook page for a list of food trucks and bands before you come.
google avatar

Kara P.

Yelp
Super fun place! Very big so it doesn't feel too crowded. Love the beer, live music and food trucks on Friday nights!
google avatar

Kecia M.

Yelp
Beautiful Sunday afternoon to relax with a cold brew. Great drinks and great place. Definitely be back.

Sarah C.

Yelp
We came on food truck Friday and it was great! The music was good and the beer was good! HOWEVER the service .... They close at 11, and I get wanting to clean up a bit before closing time, but it was 10:15. My boyfriend and I were just finishing our beers and about to get up when a worker swept so close to us that the broom literally hit my ankle. Super not okay with that and very disappointing. There were still plenty of people there and she should not have gotten so close to me that the broom HIT ME. Unacceptable on this workers part. Not a good ending to the night.

Yelp
I had driven by Cabarrus Brewing a few times for work, but never got the chance to visit. On a family outing, we decided to visit some breweries, and the third stop on our tour brought us to Cabarrus Brewing. After driving down the long road to the parking lot, I was disappointed to learn that the brewery was not the Mill as pictured, but a building behind the mill....We quickly got over that fact when we entered. The brewery is LARGE!!!! As is the tap room, upstairs event room, and patio area. I thought the interior was great, a mix of modern and traditional tap rooms, and the patio/deck area provided a great place to enjoy the warm weather. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and helpful. She helped narrow down my samples and got us our flights poured without much of a wait. The atmosphere is good, very friendly people and staff. The beer was the downside - we just didn't like it that much. I rated everything on my flight a 3/5. It was OK. The location is a bummer, it's far away from the highway, and just one lane roads leading there. Overall it's a nice place with a great group of people working, but that doesn't always equate to good beer. If I was up there again, I would stop back to sample some other beers since you never know if you'll find a good one!
google avatar

Tara N.

Yelp
Service is always great! Even on a jam packed Saturday night they know how to handle a crowd and get good beer in the hands of customers quickly! Knowledge staff, quality beer and great atmosphere!
google avatar

Abby L.

Yelp
This is a huge brewery. I was really surprised about how much space there was. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There is so much room to fit a lot of people. The service was ok, the bartender was nice, but not super personable. They have big screen tvs so it's nice to come watch a game on the weekends. They are dog friendly, which is always a plus for us dog lovers. The beer is pretty good. I got a flight and was able to sample several options. I would love to try this place again. I know they have different events on different days. I think it would be fun to visit with a big group and hang out on the weekend.

Yelp
Creepy place when you turn into the ally right past the (awesome) sign, but worth it! Just keep driving until you see the lit up place.. it's not too far! The inside itself is really awesome, and decorated like a huge dining hall back in summer camp. The food is from the owner's food truck! Win! Sweet tots -- a good amount for the price; they sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top to add a little extra love to an already delicious side. Chicken tenders -- its supposed to be beer battered, but I wasn't very impressed - I wouldn't reorder. It was thin chicken with batter that tasted burnt. The sriarcha ranch is yummy though! Windy hill cider -- I believe this is local to NC, and while a decent cider, it tasted flat (I know thats a weird descriptive word to describe a cider but I swear that is what it tasted like!) High cotton imperial blonde - DELICIOUS! I am usually a basic B when it comes to beer, but I tried a sip of my friends, and I was immediately jealous I didn't order this one myself. Trivia on Wednesdays upstairs!! Twerk Thursdays for your drinks (haha)

Kent P.

Yelp
Our son lives in NC so we stop at Cabarrus at least once a visit from NJ. Always enjoyable, but now with the added kitchen it is DEF our go to place. We have been several times to enjoy brews and the food trucks (not to mention outside firepits). The new smokehouse burger, and others are excellent. We ate there twice in the week we were in town. Always friendly and helpful staff and cool atmosphere.

Yelp
Huge space. Lots of parking. Tons of beer. If you are a Charlottean and want to explore more breweries (in case you'r tired of the countless number in Charlotte) that are right outside the city then give Cabarrus Brewing a shot. Beers are a single price, which I like, but also leaves room for the craft beers to be somewhat normalized so that they can cater to everyone's taste. I liked what I had and was glad there was so much to choose from. I went out on Friday night and enjoyed the food truck Friday happening with some friends. There was great live music from a local band and a few birthday parties going on. Lines can get a bit long. Nothing like a 30 minute drive to wait in line for beer!! Still great place, friendly places, and localish beer. You've got my vote.
google avatar

Kate J.

Yelp
Awesome addition to Concord and close to the downtown area. If you are familiar with the Gibson Mill, this is adjacent to that area. They are always making improvements as they grow! The recent beer garden addition will be awesome in the warm weather! Super family friendly, you will see kids and babies cruising all over the place and having a great time! Lots of room to run! Large been selection brewed right in Concord for every palate. Usually a selection of food trucks to choose from, but go ahead and bring your own snacks, that's allowed too! There's two areas you can rent out for private parties and gathering, one downstairs and one up. Always live music on the weekends! Welcome to Concord!

Candace F.

Yelp
Love this place and beer and food is amazing! Great place to watch the games and hang out with friends. They have open seating indoors and outdoors, DJ's, live music and lots and lots to do. I highly recommend this place and I will be back!

Yelp

Yelp
Great place to hang out with your loved ones and with your friends. We have loved most of the beer here. The best part of this place is food trucks and beer garden. You can enjoy good food, beer at beer garden. We really enjoyed the place and would like to suggest anyone who are still holding off or visiting in concord area.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise this place was! Driving into another industrial park, I was curious what I would find. We pulled up to a beautiful old mill, which is now Cabarrus Brewing Co. I loved the outside of the building and the patio. What a great space! We then entered and I was extremely impressed with the size and feel of the building. It seems as though they tried their best to keep the integrity of the old mill, which I greatly appreciated. They had old historic pictures of the place hanging up, which was really cool. The inside was very inviting and huge! They had multiple TVs for our Sunday viewing pleasure, which was nice, but not too distracting. I love that you can see the brewhouse from the tap room. I was impressed by the beer. They had multiple styles of beers to choose from, which I am always grateful for. They also had nitro taps- another point. Every style was good and I really was impressed at how well they did multiple styles. I also appreciated they had local ginger beer on tap (which is excellent). Again, I would likely not drive out here from Charlotte with all the breweries here, but I believe this in an incredible addition for Concord.

Yelp
Like many others have said, the beer is OK. The setting is great, particularly when there is live music. The food trucks are also OK, with the one affiliated with the owners limiting its menu on Fridays and Saturdays. If you are just looking to have a pint of something different and you're local, it's worth the trip. However, because they are trying to be all things to all people, you have to deal with kids running all over the place. Parents come to socialize and allow their kids to just go nuts. It gets a bit old.

Yelp
$9 flight Sew juicy- citrusy refreshing Blonde - okay, nothing great Cucumber- disgusting- tastes like pickle juice Van- nice

Yelp
Fantastic coffee blonde ale! I am pretty much obsessed with the coffee blonde beer concept. Particularly from Wooden Robot, but now there is another coffee blonde in my taste bud's heart--Cabbarus Brewing Co. Coffee Blonde Ale!! Nice tvs and benches where we watched the Panthers on the big screen.

Yelp
Very good beer. I got an IPA, forgot which one but it was nice and fresh. We ordered from their food truck and really enjoyed the burger and Buffalo chicken fingers. Didn't feel gross afterward which was a nice surprise! Definitely worth checking out if your in Concord

Yelp
Great spot and love the freedom to hang out with friends four legged pals! Dogs are allowed all over this place and everyone enjoys having them! I tried the Amber Ale, a rotating summer shady and High Cotton. High Cotton goes down really smooth so that was my choice for the night. My friend sipped on a summer shady and even as it warmed (she was nursing it), it was still very easy to drink. Myself and 7 friends came to watch Steven James perform some of the best old country songs and some of his own. Couldn't have been a cooler spot to listen to live music. No kickback from the sound, the venue left plenty of space for people to stand up close or sit back on the picnic tables. The rocks that are out there are a bit challenging to navigate because they shift under your feet too much. I advise flat shoes like tennis shoes. I had cowboy boots on and I imagine flip flops would kick up the rocks. Otherwise, really awesome place!

Yelp
My husband and I loved everything about this, dont listen to any negative!!! I have had beer all over the world including Ireland etc...What a great find, recommended by the staff of Cougar winery down the street. I love that one business is about helping another, and they were right about the food and beer. Anyone that has owned a business knows that its hard work, dedication, and some people can be not so nice, Folks nothing is perfect. The atmosphere was lovely with plenty of seating, we arrived for lunch time, I heard that it gets busy in the evenings, which is expected. It has a country and southern hospitality to it. The place is clean and nicely kept, TV screens, and a few games inside and out. Hubby enjoyed the variety of beer, he had the 5 samples selection. Now this delicious brisket that had me drooling all over the place, moist and cooked just right, U really dont need the sauce. I used the sweet tangy one. We will be back with our friends and family. Whatever U do make sure U keep the cook and give him a raise :) The best brisket thus far in the Carolinas. Tip: When u walk in go straight to back to order beer, or order food when U walk in, they will give U a number, go to table, food will B brought to U, the come collect the trash from tables. Folks it just that simple, enjoy and Thank the owner for responding respectfully and being a Fabulous business owner!!!!!

Yelp
My first impression when pulling up in the lot and seeing the giant Cabarrus Brewing sign in all its rustic patina glory was -"This is going to be good!" I wish I could squeeze out another star for these guys but my experience here was both overwhelming and underwhelming. The overwhelming: it was ridiculously crowded. Like people continually bumping into you (some say sorry, some plow through you). There were some rowdy ones (aka riff raff) cursing and stumbling. I think the entire population of Concord was here. Even with all the community German beer hall style tables/seating, it was almost impossible to find a seat. You are either the one sitting and watching others stare at you waiting to leave, or the ones staring at others hoping they leave. The area where you first walk in was also bottle necked with people ordering from the onsite food truck. The line for beer moved quickly (as there were three of them). I like that there is one line specifically dedicated to flights and growlers. The underwhelming: the bartender I had was not all that friendly and didn't even seem to notice or care about the nice tip I left. I got the impression that he wanted me to grab my beers and keep on moving. A smile or nod and a thank you would have gone a long way. The beer I had went both ways as well, the Rocky River IPA was underwhelming -nothing stood out - too plain - too safe - one note. The Session Pale Ale was another story - very drinkable and tasty - cloudy (unfiltered?), some depth of flavor and a little sour finish = nice! My overall opinion is that somebody made a very high grade facility and really dropped some money on this place to do it right. I think the beer shows promise and hopefully will get tweaked here and there. I probably won't be back until the crowd thins out - when people are pushing, shoving and tripping (like a frat party), it doesn't make for a very pleasant beer drinking atmosphere! Of course being too busy is not a bad problem if you're management. Maybe they need a bouncer!

Yelp
Pet friendly a PLUS!! Beer is OK. Atmosphere wins all. Service stinks. The woman who was behind the bar (which I hate I didn't ask her name) on the Sunday afternoon that we went was mid 40s-brown curly hair, just simply NOT pleasant. She seemed like she didn't want to be there and when I wanted to try a couple beers- THAT alone was an inconvenience to her. Everyone else working were younger kids- they didn't bother anyone and we're just fine. This place really could make a KILLING off of alcohol and the atmosphere. Service that she offered will hurt this place terribly. NO stars for her and 5 stars for the atmosphere - so let's meet in the middle for a score.
