CABETOS Pops

Cabetos pops catered my wedding, and it was beyond perfect! The staff were fantastic, they were completely prepared and ran the dessert show - and of course, the pops and toppings were all delicious! Highly recommend!!

Super yummy popsicles at Cabetos Pops in Normal Heights! They look incredible and taste even better. We got the tiramisu and Dubai chocolate flavors. The service was very friendly and quick. Recommend!

Cabeto's Pops--so, SO delicious!!--catered my daughter's wedding, and were a huge hit with all the guests. Loved the show and interactivity of the experience. And of course the fabulous quality of the pops. Phenomenal service. So much fun. I only wish I lived closer--I'd head to Cabeto's every day! 10/10!!!

These were a huge hit at our company picnic! 2 years in a row now and will be back again by popular demand. They are the perfect size for a little treat and beyond delicious. The staff they had arrived early and they were both super sweet! Their set up is small and easy so it doesn't take up much space! 10/10 would recommend!!

Im honestly impressed that this place has such good reviews because it was not good! The popsicles are very pricey! And they just don’t taste good, I ordered the strawberry and vanilla and just tastes like a very cheap soft serve or ice cream that was left in the freezer for a long time! All the toppings and stuff to put on is okay but the white chocolate taste so artificial. Also the place is really small, so if you’re thinking of lounging in there you might have to think twice, if there’s another group there you’re not going to be able to sit down. The service was pretty good though!

What a great experience! You pick a flavor for your ice cream on a stick, and they dip it in a coating of your choice, I like dark chocolate, then they add the toppings and drizzle. Excellent quality ice cream, and the service was great, too.

A nice surprise and little find I found on an impromptu walk of my dog in a location I typically don't walk in. It was a semi warm day in which I stopped by on a Tuesday at 2pm. 2pm is when their happy hour starts which is half off of their mini or regular size pops. There was nobody in there. Just the two employees who were chilling. As soon as I walked in. They greeted me and my dog with warmth. Said it was a perfect time for a pop since it's happy hour and showed me the two sizes options. They asked if I had been here before and if I wanted to know their favorite flavors and mixes that most people get. I listened but ended up building my own which was just me asking for all the toppings since I have a sweet tooth. Toppings include: Rainbow sprinkles Marshmallows Chocolate Almonds Hazelnuts Graham crackers Coconut Oreos You first select however, what flavor of ice cream you want. And which size. You can select from: Chocolate Vanilla Strawberry Vegan chocolate Vegan vanilla Chocolate hazelnut Coffee You then select which flavor you want to dip your ice cream pop in. Milk chocolate, white chocolate or dark chocolate. Finally the toppings that I mentioned before. If there's too many options for you to choose from...You can select from the menu, an ice cream pop that is pre set such as strawberry shortcake, rocky road, s'mores etc. I think your best bet is to go for happy hour. Not sure I'd buy if it wasn't for the discount. Four stars for it being happy hour, employees who were nice and chatty, and of course for the variety of different flavors and toppings to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Super cute little spot! The place is insanely clean and so is the area where they do the toppings for the pops. We went with a mini one for $4 ($4.31 total). Coffee mini, dipped in white chocolate, topped with chocolate drizzle and pretzels. Since it's mini, next time we'd choose no pretzels because the ratio of ice cream to the pretzels was just too much. It wasn't broken down very small so it was a bit of a mess to eat! The coffee flavor though was pretty tasty. What I would change for the pop would be the order in which she added the toppings. After learning which toppings the customer wants-- I think it should be decorated with neatness, balance, and the thought of "camera eats first." So for this one, after the white chocolate dip. I would have drizzled the chocolate on top and then quickly added some crushed up pretzels (because the broken chunks were too big). I think it's their way of dressing the pop with the chocolate drizzle being at the top though! Anyways, this spot is tasty and they have other flavors besides coffee. But the menu is small. I'm not sure if it's a thing for these places, but I'd love to see some fresh fruit or some sort of dehydrated fruit toppings. The topping options seemed too heavy for me. I think that the "mini" option is well worth the price and great for someone that just wants a little sweetness snack. Come and try it out (:

Such a delicious treat. Love that you can create your own or pick one of their flavors. Have larger pops or mini pops which is also an amazing option. Service is quick and good as well. Surprised this place isn't more popular than it is!

We have been eating Cabetos since they first started, back at the OB Farmers market. When they opened here we were thrilled. They did not disappoint. They have the same friendly personality, amazing customer service and quality ice cream pops. I have never had a bad experience here, it truly is a happy place. Choose your flavor ice cream pop, dip and toppings. Every worker they have is always so kind (kudos to whoever hires and trains). Thanks for always making our day. I would have taken a pic of my s'mores pop but I finished it so quick because it was delicious!

How did I not know this place existed until now? My daughters school had a fundraiser so we decided to try it out and i will definitely keep going back. We must've gone at the perfect time because we were the only patrons.. so we had no line and my daughter got to take her time deciding on the perfect build your own option. My daughters order - Strawberry ice cream, white chocolate dipped, sprinkles, Oreos and torched marshmallows (they torch them in your presence) on top with white chocolate drizzle. Best part? The price was 3 mini BYOs for $9.. which I think is a great deal. Go! And also, if you can swing it, happy hour 2-4 mon-fri!

When I say this place is amazing please believe I mean it. The gentleman working was very respectful and patient. 10/10 forsure! If you're ever in San Diego do stop by.

Simple menu with high quality pops! I love that it's easy to choose one of the pre selected combos they have of ice cream. I got vanilla ice cream dipped in dark chocolate covered with almonds and drizzled over with milk chocolate. It was so good, you can also customize your pop how you want. I KNOW A LOT OF YALL LOVE THOSE OPTIONS!! Literally people love customizing everything to their specific liking and this place is just for you! The service was great, in a way that is naturally friendly and not overtly positive. Even offered to customize our items, I know most of you Yelpers would eat that up in the sense that'd you mention how great it was that you didn't feel like a nuisance for even asking. BUT with options come with great responsibility! I'm sure this place gets packed at different times so don't be that annoying person that everyone hates when they're being indecisive and have no sense of urgency. Take your time if it's slow abut hurry up if they're busy. Such a cute, CLEAN spot for a date or quick stop to catch up with a friend. Love that you can watch all the people walking by and that they make their ice cream BY HAND in house!!! I usually just tell all my friends about this place but I figured I'd give Yelp a tiny hint as to the next new "spot."

Must have! We reached out to have Cabetos at our reception and it was the best experience for our guests! Everyone loved it and went back multiple times! Personalized to your needs! If you're thinking about asking them to cater, don't hesitate! If you just want to experience them, then stop by their shop or catch them at a local farmers market! IMO, it's so worth it and the quality is by far the best. This is ice cream! Thank you Cabetos!

Loved the ambiance here, the Latin playlist was everything! Upon entering, my partner and I were greeted immediately and explained how to go about making our pops. I loved that they had vegan options because my partner and I have been cutting out dairy. I chose the Vegan coffee base, dark chocolate, and Oreos with dark chocolate drizzle. Absolutely loved it, so yummy. Deff going back for more!

The shop is cool, clean and fun to look at. Not too crowded upon arrival. We ordered the three mini Popsicles, the Original, Strawberry shortcake and a build your own. The staff were friendly, informative and amusing to watch. It was pretty tasty and refreshing after a hot day. I actually really appreciate the minis as I rarely want a full ice cream popsicle.

First of all the service was great the guy was much nicer than most employees at other places. The popsicles were so good I love the marshmallow I got both times I have went. And the overall feeling was great.

Amazing service. Super friendly. Family owned shop. Pops dipped with flair. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but the young man, 22 years old, is the one who was manning the shop when we went in tonight after dinner. If you get marshmallows, you have the option of flame torching them! Walked in expecting to not get dessert since I can't do dairy so I was pleasantly surprised to see the vegan vanilla and vegan chocolate options! I got my dessert with my family and friends after all AND! he was kind enough to share a small vegan coffee pop with me which was not on the main menu. That was delicious too! Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back :)

Super yummy. Super affordable. Super fun. It's ideal for a dessert date. Very cute atmosphere. I ordered the tiny size, and it was just enough. But if you have a real sweet tooth go for the big size!

The store is very clean, it's the first thing I noticed when I walked in. All of the counters were wiped and the tables as well. We ordered the s'mores and the cookie pop. It was so incredibly good. The worker was pretty nice as well. The atmosphere is great. I just wish it was a little easier to find parking.

Not many true 5 star worthy places around this part of San Diego. Loved this place so much, where they do the chocolate dipping right in front of you and top it with nuts and all. Need to come back and try all 6 of their other items. A+++

Came across this cute paleta pop place when we were stopping by rabbit hole in normal heights! Was craving dessert/sweets and this totally satisfied my cravings. They sell two sizes a mini size and a regular. The mini was perfect for me as I only wanted a few bites! The staff recommended the store one with toasted marshmallows. It did not disappoint! Not too many flavors to choose from which makes it easy! They don't have any fruity pops just fyi! They are not like your typical paleta pop bar with many fruit flavors. Most is chocolate based. Recommend!! :)

SO GOOD! I'd give this place ten stars if I could. I was craving something sweet after dinner and this place came up on my Apple Maps. Walked myself over and got the coffee ice cream dipped in chocolate with pretzels. (This is one of the flavors on the wall - can't remember the name). This little pop was delicious. I ate it in like 3 minutes! Had chocolate all over my face lol. The employee was so friendly and explained the process to me as he was doing it. also - the walls are too cute with the quotes. I'll be back to try every flavor because I can't get enough!!

Yummy treat. We tried this place as it is simply to another place, but a few hours closer. Inside was very clean, kind of minimalist in design and decor. The menu is kind of small. They give you 8 preset flavors, or you can design your own. First pick the flavor ice cream, then the type of chocolate, and lastly the toppings. We tried a predeigned one, Strawberry Short Cake. Not bad, especially since I usually don't care for white chocolate and thought the milk chocolate drizzle might throw the flavor off. It was pretty good. The ice cream portion itself was more of ice milk in texture, but taste was very good. Next time we might try the minis so we can try a few flavors at once.

Cute little pop place, that San Diego really needed I feel. Great flavor options and customizable too. I loved my chocolate-covered strawberry pop. What I really liked is that they have a mini size available. The staff was very sweet and got talking to us. The only downside is that the place has no parking and street parking is hard to find at times.

TINY POPS (3.5 stars) Cute concept. I like how they serve regular size and tiny, I went for tiny because tiny you can try more than one in one sitting. This is their store front, they can also be found at the local farmers markets around San Diego. S'MORES - vanilla base ice cream pop, dipped in chocolate, coated with small marshmallows, drizzled with hot fudge, and sprinkled with gram cracker crumble. The ice cream was a little tougher to bite in than expected, was I suppose to suck it and savor the ice cream until it's soft enough to bite or is this just the texture. Overall, it tasted like a cold s'more and I love anything that's in a s'more flavor or form. Of the two that I ordered and ate, this was my favorite. STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE - strawberry base ice cream pop, dripped in vanilla, drizzled with hot fudge, and sprinkled with gram cracker crumble. By the looks of it, it didn't look like a strawberry shortcake - it was so "vanilla" looking if you know what I mean. I honestly was thinking about Good Humor's Strawberry Shortcake when I considered ordering this. Well, don't expect that. No color hue resembling strawberry. But when you take a bite you will get the strawberry the physical is lacking. Until the next review...

CABETOS Pops now has a brick and mortar presence by replacing Zero Gelato on Adams Ave in Normal Heights. I paid a visit on the recent National Ice Cream Day. The store celebrated the occasion by offering a free Tiny Pop with the purchase of a Big Pop. The menu had eight preset combinations ("The Favorites") or you could build your own treat. For the Big Pop, I purchased a Strawberry Shortcake. The hand crafted ice cream bar was coated with toppings and placed in a cardboard tray. The same was done with my free Tiny Pop which was The Classic. This combination featured vanilla ice cream, a chocolate coating, and chopped peanuts. Both products tasted great, and the vegan options were nice for customers seeking such choices. The prices were a tad high for the size of the ice cream bars, but I still gave this place a four star rating.

Oooo my son asked me to come here with him (8 years old) because he enjoyed the experience so much the first time he went. Cabetos is very cute and the design is social media worthy. It's $6.50 for a large pop, which includes the base (ice cream flavor), toppings, and what chocolate to dip it in. They do have a tinier ice cream pop for a few dollars more if you're into that. I ordered a strawberry base with Oreo crumbs, white chocolate dip, and a milk chocolate drizzle. My son ordered a chocolate base with Oreo crumb and marshmallow toppings dipped in milk chocolate and a white chocolate drizzle. The cool thing about ordering the marshmallow is that they will light it up like a s'more for you. Our pops were delicious and I would 100% come back. The only thing is they only have about 6 toppings to choose from.

Vegan pops with all the toppings! Hell yessss. Hubby and I came here during CABETOS opening weekend and got to partake in their special: buy one big pop, get a tiny pop free. As vegans, we weren't sure if we'd have to play twenty questions to find out what we could order, but the friendly and well informed workers made it easy. We got the rundown about options: they always have at least one vegan option for the pop, the dark chocolate dip is always vegan, and most of the toppings typically are as well. The marshmallows, pretzels, and Oreos are vegan, and even the graham crackers sometimes are -- but they could have honey at times so do ask. I had the vegan chocolate tiny pop with a dark chocolate dip, marshmallows, pretzels, and a dark chocolate drizzle. They even torched the marshmallows for me! Hubby had the vegan chocolate big pop with dark chocolate dip, pretzels, and dark chocolate drizzle. Both were delicious! The pops are a littler pricier than what I expected, but it's evident that they are using better ingredients and putting in a lot of care to deliver a quality product. Also, it's fun to have your pop customized to whatever you are feeling like at that particular moment. I hope CABETOS expands their vegan pop flavors to where they have several flavors to choose from at any given time. Also, it would be really cool if they added a vegan option or modification to their "favorite combos" list for those times when I don't want to think. Looking forward to my next visit and trying more flavor combos.

I loooooove this place. It always surprises me that this place isn't packed. I went to the scoops ice cream festival and this was my favorite one there. My sisters loves it here too. We live 2 hours away so when we are in San Diego we make sure to stop in. Don't miss your chance to come and try this ice cream, it is different from the rest. You will not be disappointed. Also every time I come in everyone is so nice!!!!

GET HERE ASAP! This place is so freaking bomb! Went here today after seeing this pop up in my recommendations. I looked at the pics and thought it's hella hot today and this seems like it's about to hit the spot! Hopped in the car and got rockstar street parking thanks to the parking gods. Walked in and lucky us there was no line! The flavors of ice cream were: Vanilla strawberry Chocolate Vegan chocolate Hazelnut Strawberry sorbet You choose your base for the ice cream bar, then choose your toppings, then choose if you want your bar dipped in milk, dark, or white chocolate! We both got the rock road which originally comes with hazel nut chocolate ice cream, toasted marshmallows, your choice of dipping chocolate, and graham crackers. I added coconut and pretzels. 5 out of 5 stars!!! Let me tell you they LOAD THIS WITH TOPPINGS!! I was so excited for how much toppings the woman put on. You definitely get what you pay for in a good way! The woman helping me was freaking amazing too! She was friendly, helpful, and legit took her time making our ice cream bars as perfect as possible. She even made sure there were no nuts on my marshmallows before she blow torched then so they wouldn't burn! A fucking plus for customer service!!! Will absolutely be back since we live close and it was delicious as hell!!! Thank you for the perfect summer treat *drool*

Tried this at the vegan pop up in Encinitas and fell in love. I had the chocolate hazelnut and the texture and taste were on point. it was worth the line that we had to wait in. the pop was 6.75 which was on the higher end but #supportlocal i guess? Service was amazing and gentleman was friendly.

If you're in town, this is a must! The icecream is creamy cold to perfection, the milk chocolate smooth; not too sweet but on point. A delectable treat for Any day! I love that this is a family owned shop and within walking distance from my daughter's home. Customer service was 100% , quality and quantity for my $$$, worthy. We will be back soon!

A new start up Paletas spot that has it down pact!!! The ice cream was cold as hell and the chocolate wrapped around it was heavenly When you bite into it there is a a crunch that days Mexico all day!!! I have been looking for a Paleta spot that takes me back to Guadalajara and here it is!!! Hot- Cold- or in Between come check them out and get you fix!!!

Dropped in about 45 min before closing for a late night dessert, so many options and I love how there are mini pops which were the perfect bites. Definitely planning to come back to try the other flavors they have!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. S'mores tasted amazing! My friend got cookies and creams and it was a bit sweet for my liking but they did fantastic with the other flavor. Great price compared to other popsicle places in San Diego. I get overwhelmed with a lot of menu options so I like how this place doesn't have tons of flavors and toppings

My favorite ice cream of all time! Tried it first at a party since they cater! Ended up booking them as well for our son's 1st birthday party and it was a hit. A few friends even came up to me inquiring about them and booked them also for their events! The ice cream and flavors are amazing! The pops are hand made and they dip them in chocolate and then add toppings. My 2 favorites are strawberry shortcake and s'mores! I especially love the toasted marshmallows on too which give it a chewy deliciousness! You can asl modify or build your own pop!!! My sister for example adds roasted marshmallows on top of her strawberry shortcake pops and she swears by it! The customer service is also amazing! They staff is friendly and do such a great job even if the line is non stop. They always keep a smile on! We have come across Will and Santi and highly recommend them!

We came to try them late at night on a Friday and they didn't disappoint! My kids got the little pops and they were perfect for them. I liked that they were able to add all the toppings they wanted regardless of the size. The guy behind the counter was so great and made our experience very enjoyable!

I came here for a sweet treat after dinner while my mom was visiting and had a wonderful experience! Even though it was a Saturday night there wasn't a line. We also didn't feel like we were bothering the employees by being the only customers, they seemed genuinely excited to serve us. You make your own creation by picking your popsicle flavor, your coating, and your topping(s). One thing I like about this pop shop is they give you suggestions based on popular combinations. I took their strawberry shortcake one and added pretzels instead of graham crackers- definitely recommend! I also love that they have a mini size and their large size! They don't have as many flavor combinations as some of the other paleta shops which is great for me as someone who is EXTRA indecisive. I'm sure I'll be back next time I want a sweet treat in Normal Heights!

If you want a bangin treat that you can design yourself, come through to CABETOS and hope that Weston is working. He hits the dips with complete swagger and hypes you up on your selections. Love that they have a mini option when you don't wanna take down a whole pop. Definitely coming back.

Great little spot to grab an ice cream bar. The ice cream bars taste yummy when dipped in your favorite chocolate and sprinkled with tasty Graham crackers or nuts.

Really cool and unique ice cream shop. There are eight preset flavor combos to choose from or you can create your own. I got s'mores, strawberry shortcake, and mocha pretzel. There's also a choice between small or large pop; I got three small so I could try more flavors. They make the pops right there in front of you, toppings and all. I was even asked if I wanted the marshmallows toasted (which of course I did). The s'mores pop was amazing and the other two were very good. I absolutely will come back for more s'mores pops. Service was great as well. I was helped by one of the owners, who was more than happy to explain how it works and share their story. Started as a farmers market stall before getting popular enough to open a permanent shop. I highly recommend this place.

I visited this place after finding it on Yelp with my friends and we were not disappointed. You basically get to create your own ice cream pop They have a good assortment of toppings, ice cream, and three different kinds of chocolate dip. They even torch the marshmallows if you get it on your pop. I got the Vanilla Pretzel (basically the Mocha Pretzel but with vanilla ice cream) and I thought it was fantastic. It's a really fun place to visit with your friends and I would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

I booked Cabetos to work my wedding at the bridal bazaar because of how tasty their treats are. They are incredibly price competitive with all of the other ice cream catering services in San Diego however, the offer for the price point is much more inclusive and full service. The picture is actually from the active service at our wedding. As you can see the set up was very clean. The employees were very polite and professional. They set up very non-intrusively during our toasts. Coordinating for the day was very low stress, despite them being a small business. Also! Their treats are so tasty! Taking my maid of honor to the shop to sample what we would be service was super fun and it's a very unique and fun dessert. Strongly recommend regardless if you're catering or if you're just looking for a tasty treat in Normal Heights. My favorite is any combination with the toasted marshmallows. I strongly recommend booking with the unlimited option. It's worth the extra to give your guests the opportunity to try more than one combination!

Two stars only because the staff were really nice but the ice cream tasted freezer burned/funky and the toppings were stale! My kids and I both noticed that the place smelled really weird too... like sour. We tried the strawberry shortcake, s'mores, the coffee pretzel one and the hazelnut lovers ( which looked absolutely nothing like advertised, it was just coated in crushed nuts, not whole ones like shown). Would not go back unless the quality improves. Great concept but the execution was highly disappointing.

Waiting for the ferry at Broadway and Harbor Boulevard, we saw the food trucks across the street. Sunday afternoon. Cabetos Pops had a sampler of three small pops for nine dollars total. Each pop was sufficient for a lovely portion of ice cream. There are choices of several flavors of ice cream covered with a choice of three chocolates, white, dark, milk. Toppings are also included. Our favorites were s'mores and almonds. Very satisfying and fun.
